we’re starting at 2pm but i’ll be leaving at 10:36 since i it takes me around an hour to get there and i want some free time to explore the place + buy a few things :)

i used to think that to be witty also meant to be destined to experience life in its most miserable, melancholic form. i had a deep rooted belief that to be cheerful and care-free also meant to be ignorant, naive, unintelligent; i used to subtly laugh at whoever didn’t experience the same gut wrenching feeling and pit in the stomach i thought clever people were supposed to feel towards the world, which, to me, was nothing but a cruel place where the only ones who foolishly smiled were young children and people who were never going to be smart enough to understand.

i still wonder what brought me to think about it that way, i am nothing more than a privileged young girl and i can’t help but chuckle at myself whenever i even dare to think about happiness as a dull concept only intended for those who are simple-minded. despite this horrible thought still banging in the back of my head, i am now convinced there is more wisdom in whoever is able to experience genuine happiness on this earth, after all, the act of constantly bringing myself down in order to feel smarter than others is the only thing to be considered truly pathetic.

i often wonder if my awful and insipid way of writing poetry is given by my total inability of truly connecting with my feelings even when my mind is aching and begging for my heart to finally pour on a piece of paper

sometimes i want to be sad and gloomy all day, i want to sit alone, i hate how the dust on my bookshelves is being enlightened by the sun. sometimes however i’m laughing with my friends, they’re playing the guitar and everyone is singing along, i’m peacefully laying on the grass and i realise that maybe my bookshelves just needed a little love

my uni entrance exam is in 11 days and i still need to finish biology and start studying math, i really hope i can make it, it’s been a chaotic week and i didn’t study much these days
