If you have a headcanon for a character being gay when they’ve clearly also shown interest in a character with a different gender, you’re helping with bisexual and pansexual erasure and you really should stop.

ok if you’re going to make a photoset about bi steve please don’t refer to him as ”the bisexual.” it’s not a noun. it’s an adjective.

Hello. Thor's a woman. Captain's America's black. How can you not call this progressiveness? Marvel has like a million female led comics to DC's one? three? doesn't really matter. there's not enough. the mcu introduced so many kickass female characters. Name one from the dccu. Sorry, but the fact that there are still dc fans out there is pathetic.
haha oh my god this is embarrassing for you please stop

Hello, lovelies!  As we all know, DashCon 2014 is coming up in just a few weeks! My lovely friend larissafae is coming down to visit for a little over a week at that time so she, Nick and I plan to attend together and have a blast!  That said, my retail job has not been giving me the hours I typically can expect from the summer months, and a few financial aspects such as hotel costs and transportation need to be taken into account!
With this in mind, I am opening a special commission drive to help fund our trip!  Along with the commissions I always offer, I am also offering a special deal:  traditional commissions - physical pencil and ink that can be shipped to you or picked up from me at DashCon!  Sketches will go for $10, inked for $30, and colored with Copic markers will be $50 a piece; each will be limited to two (2) characters a piece and each will be sealed in protective sheets! This is a limited time offer - after I reach our goal for the weekend, they will no longer be offered, so if you are interested, now is the time to ask!
The is also a donation button on my blog you can throw money at if you so wish!  Any little bit helps!  My present goal is $500 to help cover hotel, travel, and food.  If this goal is met, I will not only be at DashCon, but I will be giving away free WTNV prints to any and all who find me!  Cecils and Carlos and Kevins galore!
Also, larissafae is doing a writing/fic commission fund to help her build funds as well!  Check it out~  Her writing is incredible!
Any and all help will be appreciated!

For many years, Black superheroes have been dismissed as sidekicks, imitators of established white heroes, or are accused of having no role outside of blaxploitation film contexts. Yet the importance of a Storm, Luke Cage, Black Panther, or Jon Stewart as Green Lantern or Miles Morales as Spiderman cannot be understated. Their entry into comic books also served as entry to the hearts and imaginations of black children, confirming that they too can be superheroes and could one day save the world.

Captain America is bisexual and mystic is night crawlers father
Mystique as Nightcrawler's father is our most lamented could-have-been in comics canon; she almost was!
As for the Captain (Bucky or Steve)? Hell yeah.

lois lane is a trans woman and absolutely nothing can convince me otherwise
Someone's sent this in, phrased exactly the same way before. I'll make a headcanon graphic soon, but I love the idea of Lois as trans.
Tumblr media
I love Lois' confidence, intelligence, and take-no-shit attitude. Her being trans also plays well with our idea of Superman as genderless.

Headcanon: Tony Stark is a closeted bisexual. Only Pepper, Rhodey, and Rumiko knew about his sexuality, as well as the few men he secretly dated/had flings with, which include Henry Hellrung and Tiberious Stone.
We posted this one before with a graphic, but I'd like to post it again because man do we not talk enough about Henry Hellrung.
Tumblr media
Tiber Stone deserves more coverage too, the two timing tart.

She's blue, she's beautiful, and she's badass — oh, and she's bisexual, too. Mystique is one of the most well known X-Men in the franchise (in part because of the movies) and that's definitely well-deserved.
Who am I? That, my dear, is an excellent question. Though not one easily answered.
She was introduced under her Raven alias in Ms Marvel #16 (1978) and reveal herself as Mystique two issues later. Of most of the main-cast mutants, we may know the least about Mystique — we never (and probably will never) learn her real name, or her age.
Tumblr media
Throughout Marvel's main timeline, Mystique has time and time again duped the X-Men and the rest of humanity and ascended to major positions of power. She has served as the Deputy Director of the Defense Advanced Research Planning Agency (DARPA) in the United States Department of Defense, ascended in German nobility, and organized the third incarnation of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants herself.
She is both the mother of Sabretooth's son, Graydon Creed, and of Nightcrawler — and the adopted mother, along with her lover Destiny, of Rogue for a short time.
Tumblr media
Originally, Nightcrawler was set to be the son of Irene (Destiny) and Mystique - Mystique as the biological father - but the choice was shut down due to censorship laws that made overt depictions of homosexual relationships in comics illegal. Instead, Kurt is the son of Mystique and Azazel while she was married to Baron Christian Wagner, whom she later abandons after killing her husband to protect him.
Tumblr media
This Brotherhood (under Mystique) clashed both with the X-Men and the Avengers (and obviously human authorities), and in it Mystique was joined for a time by her daughter Rogue. Rogue eventually left her team and mother in favor of the X-Men to learn control.
Mystique is complicated, inherently (and overtly) queer, and a considerable mystery to the characters that interact with her and to the reader. Her problems are complex, and her motivation is at once emotional and distant. She's heartless and passionate, fierce and unstinting, and she refuses to be defined - both by us, and by anyone who crosses her path.
