I'm back to watching RimWorld playthroughs on YouTube and drawing fanart for them!! Here is a picture of Pete Complete's most adorable colonist Ellie! She has recently turned three and begun wandering around the caves with a cowboy hat on, which I thought was very sweet.

Please go watch Pete's RimWorld videos, they are soooo good. Ellie is from the Biotech playthrough, but he has also done Ideology, Royalty, and Vanilla runs too.

Okay, so I saw some people talking about the new Imotekh reveal (very cool, very cool), and they were discussing the four-fingered gauntlet with its cool claws and stuff, and I could not stop thinking about how Aun'Shi also has four-fingered claws (I draw a lot of T'au okay) and I just think they should get manicures together.

I've been reading a lot of Warhammer 40k novels and short stories lately, mostly T'au and Necron stuff. I'm particularly enamoured with Trazyn and all the mischief he gets up to, and I love that he has a whole crew of necrons on Solemnace who are just as eccentric as he is. I've been doodling some characters and decided to draw up some proper pieces with inking and colouring too.

So, here's Arch-Cryptek Sannet (the forgetful chief curator who needs to write things down to recall them), and Huntmaster, game warden of Solemnace (a very cool deathmark who wears a void-cape and helps Trazyn collect specimens for study and preservation. I gave him a hood because it looks cool and he matches Trazyn now. :3)

Let the Necrons have a sitcom already, there's more than enough drama and comedy for it. I love petty old robots.

Previously, I've posted "out-of-context" bits and pieces of a Warhammer 40k comic I've been drawing (found here and here). Here you can see some of the very first one-off pages from 2019 when I had just started drawing them for fun (hence the poor quality compared to some of my more recent art).

More explanation and also brief intros of the main characters can be below!

This comic is something I've been working on since I first got into 40k back in 2019, thanks to a bizarre string of events involving my little brother, a children's TV show, a Rimworld colony, and a lot of wasted paper.

As is my habit when I become interested in anything, I started to doodle little comics as I researched the lore. My brother seemed to enjoy the drawings, so whenever we were bored, we would sit and come up with silly scenarios I could draw.

At the start, the comic was just a series of little one-off pages. The setting was a mostly destroyed T'au ship that had been attacked and left drifting in space, trying to crawl back to the T'au Empire while picking up some other stranded characters on the way.

After almost a whole sketchbook of incomprehensible scribbles, I started to actually draw a story. There was an actual plot and higher stakes (barely), and then it expanded to a second sketchbook and then a third! I have a plot outline stuck to the wall over my desk, and I foresee a lot more sketchbooks in the future of this comic, haha.

There are ten (10) main characters... Currently. Behold! My silly Warhammer 40k characters!

Apologies if my handwriting is illegible.

I might post the actual 'plot' part of the comic if people want, but it isn't very grimdark, and I'm scared that die-hard 40k fans will be mad at me for it haha.

Behold! The first minis I’ve ever painted! I thought I’d start with some drones (stealth drones, I think?) as practice before I do anything else. I don’t know if they look good or not, as I don’t know a lot about miniature painting, but I love the little guys anyway. Their names are Droney and Maximiliano. :)

Also, because I love both the T’au Sept colours and drawing clothes, here’s some T’au fashion design because I couldn’t help myself. Sorry.

No Fire caste because I didn’t feel like drawing armour, and I still haven’t got any good ideas for what alien sci-fi parade/dress uniforms might look like. And also because they’re my least-favourite caste.

I want you to know you’ve probably made my whole week just by asking that. I have been riding this high for so long. The thought that someone wants to see more of my silly passion project?? I wish you nothing but happiness in your life. You are wonderful.

I’m currently busy updating the character reference sheets (they’re a bit out-of-date since I started this in, like, 2018). Still, when that is done, I might post them alongside some full pages of the comic if people want.

I’ve been having a great deal of fun playing Cult of the Lamb lately, and thoroughly enjoying all the lore titbits that you can find scattered around. I finally got around to drawing some of my favourite characters (and my least-favourite character, looking at you Midas, yuck). I’m still working my way through the post-game stuff that came with the Relics of the Old Faith update, so hopefully there’ll be more fanart to come!

For anybody interested in watching a Rimworld playthrough, I cannot recommend Pete Complete’s Ideology Playthrough enough (his Ice Sheet and Royalty playthroughs were also excellent). His presentation is engaging and professional, and I eagerly anticipate every new episode.

In recent episodes, a new character named Light has joined the colony. He’s an abrasive, psychically hypersensitive psychopath with godlike psycast abilities. His shenanigans delighted me, so I decided to draw him.

I had to draw my RT Miitopia-inspired Rimworld colony again because I love them and will miss them.

After the Biotech update for Rimworld, my computer wouldn’t even open the game for a long time. Now it does open the game, but all my old save files and presets are unsalvageable. Unfortunately, my RT Miitopia/Gracie Rimworld game is kaput, and I’ll have to start everything all over again. That’s alright, new beginnings are exciting, but I’m going to miss all the fun stuff I already had started, haha.

Let’s just imagine that the gang lived happily ever after with all their friends and animals. They’re a tough bunch. They can handle whatever the Rimworld throws at them.

Here’s a quick drawing of Cadavre (the human skeleton) and Fracture (the cat skeleton) from Kris Straub’s Broodhollow comics and his Local 58 analogue horror series on YouTube.

Yesterday I got a brand new digital drawing tablet, and I’ve spent all day today trying to figure it out. This piece is the first thing I drew on it, and I think it turned out okay, especially since I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to digital art.
