It's messy and ruthless and full of grief at times. And 17 is scary as hell because now you know that you finally have to say goodbye to childhood.

From me, on behalf of those who won't apologise

I'm sorry, to the 10 year old who's body developed faster than their peers.

I'm sorry, to the 15 year old who doesn't look like the models on instagram.

I'm sorry, to the 25 year old who goes to the gym every day, but still sees no progress.

I'm sorry, to the 35 year old who is worried their body will never look the way it did before their child.

I'm sorry, to the 45 year old who was told they have to lose weight or they'll have a heart attack.

I'm sorry, to the 55 year old who has spent the last 30 years losing and gaining the same 15lbs.

I'm sorry, to the 65 year old who relapsed after 15 years.

I'm sorry, to the 75 year old who can't bring themself to eat since their partner died.

I'm sorry, to the 85 year old whose body is crumbling before their eyes

all it should take if you’re disciplined enough is three to four months. you’ll be at you goal weight in four months.

the food will still be there in four months. mcdonald’s will still exist in four months. that donut place will still be there after four months. food won’t leave, it’ll still be there when you’re skinny. why eat it now? why not eat it when you’ve reached your goal?
