Short story #2

Let me tell you the story of a goddess who was exiled from heaven. It all started 3 years ago. How could this have happened how is it that I let this come of me. My dress was in shrieds and my make up was smugged and ruined. I once sat on a gold throne beside the one belonging to the mighty zeus. Now I am something lower then that of a commoner. All because of one mistake. I accedently gave the humans a wrong judgment and zeus was not pleased he was not pleased at all. And for the first time in history Sofia the goddess of judgment was sent into exile until proven worthy. How am I supposed to prove myself worth to the almighty zeus. I’m alone in the woods cold and scared. “Hello ma'am are you ok? What are you doing out here all on your own?” I jumped startled at the sound of a man’s voice. “Woow sorry didn’t mean to startle you.” He said chuckling softly. The man was no older then 27 at the most with shaggy brown hair and bright green eyes. “I..I.” My throat was so dry it was almost impossible to speak. I simply pointed at my throat hoping he would get the clue. “Oh would you like some water.” He asked pulling out a canister of water from his bag. Nodding I took the canister from him and took a huge drink from it. The cool water felt amazing on my throat. Of course water wasn’t as good as the nectar we gods drink but it’ll do for now. Once I had completely drained the canister I handed it back to him. “My name is sofia. And I am a godess I am known as the goddess of judgment well I used to be anyways.” I said blushing softly in the end as I played with my brown locks. “Your a goddess?” He asked one eyebrow quirked up. “Yes I am.” “Sorry but that’s kinda hard to believe.” He said his eyes roaming my body. “That’s understandable.” I nodded my clothes were mostly ripped due to the fall from the heavens. Not to mention I was covered in dirt and leaves my brown locks were a tangly mess and my once shimmering brown eyes were now dull and almost life less. “But it’s true though. I accedently made an incorrect judgment that ended up causing an innocent man his life which lead to zeus expelling me from heaven until I have proven myself worth of the title of goddess.” He looked at me a little doughtfull but nodded his head. “Ok then let me help you.” He wants to help me but why? I have done nothing to help him. “You really want to help me?” “Of course.” He chimed. “But why?” I had always found humans to be very strange beings but now I found them even stranger then ever. “Because even if your not a goddess I can’t leave a women out in these woods by herself it is quite dangerous. Not only that but I would also like to ask you for your help.” His face turned a slight pink at the end. “What is this favor?” I asked crossing my arms as I eyed him suspiciously. “I am in love with this……person and I want you to help me make this…..person fall in love with me as well.” At this point his face was beat red. “What makes you think I can help you with your romance it is not like I am Aphrodite.” “Yes but you are the goddess of judgment.” He had a point i could simply use my judgment magic on the one he loved to make them fall in love him. “It will be hard to help you considering I don’t have my goddess abilitys but all the same I shall help you. Now tell me about this person you love.” “We can talk as we head back to the town I’ll lead the way.” He said taking off ahead of me. I quickly followed behind. “The love I have with this person is a forbidden love.” “Why is that is this person from a rich family or something?” “No no nothing like that it is simply the fact that well……” He stopped in his tracks. “Well…?” “Its just that well….iminlovewithaman?” He said quickly. “Your what?” “I am in love with another man” He whispered quitly his face beat red. “Are you ashamed of that fact?” I asked him crossing my arms over my chest. “Who wouldn’t be I mean im a man in love with another man.” “If you are ashamed to admit that you love this man then you don’t love this man as much as you think you do. If you truly loved this man you would feel no shame in yelling it out for the whole world to hear. Yes some people might find it odd at first and others won’t like the idea of two men being together. But that shouldn’t matter to you not as long as your with the one you truly love.” He stood there simply staring at me for a second. “Your right your completely right. I have to get to him and tell him how I feel.” “Well then what are you doing just standing here? Hurry up and get going.” With that he took off on a full sprint back to the town in which he lived. Luckily I was able to keep up with him as he ran through the forest. Although when we finally reached the town I was having more of a struggle keeping up to him due to all the townspeople walking around. I don’t really understand what my point in helping this man find true love is. I should be trying to find my way back into the heavens as a goddess. Well I guess I might as well see how this love story ends. I followed him into a story near the center of town. “Maxwell!” He yelled out into the empty store. “Maxwell are you here?” “I’m coming I’m coming.” Came a voice from the back of the store. “Oh hey there Chris how can I help you today?” The guy who I’m guessing is Maxwell said stepping up to the register. He was tall not as tall as Chris but definitely still tall with a lean body and wavy blond hair with bright brown eyes. “Maxwell I need to talk to you and I need you listen closely ok?” Maxwell nodded at Chris’s words curiosity filling his eyes. “Maxwell I know this is weird and unheard of but I am in love with you. And I have been in love with you since the moment that I meet you. So will you do me the honor of going on a date with me?” Chris asked his hands clutching Maxwell’s. All three of stood there in silence as we waited for Maxwell’s response. Finally very slowly he nodded tears clearly visible. Without hesitation Chris reached over the counter grabbed Maxwell’s face and kissed him passionately. I couldn’t help but squeal quietly at there affectionate love. This place honestly isn’t so bad I think I might like it here. “Sofia about getting you back to being a goddess don’t think I forgot.” Chris said once he had pulled away from Maxwell who was as red as an apple. “Actually you know what I think I might stick around here for a while. Maybe help out some more people who were in the same situation as you who knows it might not be so bad down here.” “Well then feel free to stay as long as you wish.” Maxwell said smilling at me. I couldnt help but smile with him. There you have it lady’s and gentleman my story of how I an exiled goddess came to live on earth. Of course after a year of being on earth zeus returned me back to my old goddess self. Although I am techinqually a goddess now I still stay in the human world. I’m kinda glad I got exiled when I did. If I hadn’t I would have never meet Chris and Maxwell who now are happily married with a child. For now that concludes our story. THE END . Sorry if it’s kinda sucky I was kinda rushing when I wrote it. Oh and I do not own the picture.

Short story #1 Oh crap I am so late I probably look like a mess to. My feet pound against the busy streets of new York. I try to avoid running into anyone viering and angling myself away from the people who were also rushing to work just like me. My wild red hair was flying everywhere as I ran down the street in my flats. The most important meeting for the firm is going on today and just my luck I forgot to set my alarm last night. How could I have let this happen. I’m gonna so be out of a job if I don’t make it in time. I’m already behind on my rent I can’t afford to lose my job. I’m soo screwed. I gasped for air as I came to a sudden stop outside of my firms building. It one of the tallest skyscrapers in Manhattan new York I couldn’t help but be awed by it every time I saw it. I quickly pulled out my phone and checked the time. 8:45 I let out a deep breath yes I made it with 10 minutes to spare to. I better get inside and get set up. Quickly I fixed my clothes before stepping into the building my brief case in hand. “Good morning Mrs. Garcia.” I chimed happily to the old lady behind the counter. She didn’t bother to even glance at me when I spoke going on with her work. Hmm that’s odd Mrs. Garcia is always very polite it’s not like her to ignore someone. I’m sure she’s just really busy that’s how we have all been lately. “No time to worry about her Angela you gotta get your head in the game.” I gave myself a short pep talk as I walked up the stairs to the second floor. I yelped as I ran into someone at the top of the stairs.“Sorry sir.” I said looking up at the man I ran into. He simply looked around completely ignoring me just like Mrs. Garcia had. “Hmm that’s odd I could have sworn I ran into someone.” He mumbled to himself before simply shaking his head and heading back down the stairs. Did he not see me or something? This is getting really weird. First Mrs. Garcia ignores me then this guy acts like I dont even exist. I stood up brushing the dust of my skirt. “Hey who left there brief case on the ground. This isn’t your home’s you know you can’t just leaving things lying around!” My boss growled out holding my brief case up in the air. “Sorry sir it’s mine I accedently dropped it.” I extended my hand waiting for him to give it back to me but he never did. “Umm sir can I have my brief case back?” I said extending my hand out further to grab it. Why is he ignoring me? Is he mad at me or something? “Sir that looks like Angela’s brief case I can take it to her desk if you’d like.” My best friend Sofia said taking the brief case from my boss. “Now that you mention it , it does look like Angela’s brief case where is that girl anyway I need her for the meeting today.” “ I’m not sure sir I can call her if you’d like.” What the hells going on this is getting really weird. “Ok if this is some prank knock it off already it’s not funny.” I cried out tears began to well up in my eyes. “Yes do that tell me if she answers and if she does tell her to come to my office asap.” My boss said completely ignoring me. Can they really not see or hear me? No this has gotta be a joke it has to be it just has to. “Yes sir right away sir.” Sofia said before bowing to our boss and heading to her office. “Sof look at me please.” I cried out reaching up and grabbing her shoulder. Surprisingly she came to a sudden stop and turned around. “Did you need something else sir?” She asked my boss who was still standing in the same spot as before looking at his phone. “No why do you ask?” He didn’t bother to look up from his phone as he spoke.“ Weren’t you the one who grabbed my shoulder just now?” She looked really confused now. “ No you must have imagined it after all there’s no one else around.” “Ah yes I’m sure your right sir.” With that she went back on her way leaving me alone with my boss. I was frozen in shock. This can’t be happening can it? My legs gave way beneath me causing me to fall on my knees. This is all some sick joke and anytime now Sofias gonna run back here and say gotach while pointing a camera in my face. I know she is I just know it. “Damn it if that girl doesn’t get here in the next 5 minutes she’s fired.” My boss growled out. “I am right here sir please don’t fire me I really need this job.” I cried out jumping in front of him. But just like before he simply ignored me. I can’t believe this is happening. I don’t understand someone please help me anyone. Pulling my knees to my chest I cried long and hard. I cried like I had never cried before. I didn’t care what anyone who saw me thought. Not that it mattered what I looked like no one could see me after all. Dozens of people walked past me that day not a single one able to see me tho. To this day I don’t exactly know what happened to me that fateful day 5 years ago. All I know is that I’m not dead I still age like any normal person. I’ve accepted the fact that no one can see or hear me. I’ve filled my days by mostly following people around and learning there stories. Every now and then I’ll give people a little fright by moving there stuff around. After all I can still touch and move things like a normal person. The one thing that I do wonder is how this all came to be and are there more people out there like me? . . A.N~ so first off I dont own credit for the drawing I found it online. Second off this is one of the first short stories I have written I hope you like it and I’m sorry if it’s a little sucky. But I’ve always enjoyed writing and I wanna study professional writing in college so I decided to give short story writing a shot altho I’m pretty bad at writing endings. 😆
