I find it so amusing that Charles stans are taking people saying "Monaco was boring" as shitting on Charles. Girl, every year Monaco is a dry race, it is boring, there's Always this discussion. This one probably feels bad for you because Your Fave won but I am sure that if anyone else had won this race you wouldn't be defending it from being called a snoozefest because, objectively, it was. The lap 1 free pitstop literally killed the only thing that can make shenanigans with under/overcuts and the Top 10 literally remained the same For The First Time. It being emotional for Charles yada yada doesn't mean that The Race itself was any good so it will be called boring, no matter how historical the track is.

Yea it was boring for you maybe but for me no dude I was literally on my knees for this to not go south. But one thing I watched the race last time as well. Tell me one thing why do people have to shit on the driver that won the race, is it his fault no he raced, he did absolutely everything he could, is the the teams fault well I don’t think so. The track is not boring the cars being too big is the issue here which might get solved to some extent with 2026 regulation. My anger is to those people who are calling it an easy race.

Every year this debate regarding F1 outgrowing Monaco is stupid, the track is legendary and it is boring because the cars are simply too big. There is no scope left for anything.

I think people who say charles doesn't get much hate for carlos fans and media are just not paying much attention.

Charles fans might be louder on twitter, but on tiktok and instagram is a different story. Every time charles achieves anything, people there find a way to say its because ferrari favored him instead of carlos. Those last instagram posts of ferrari about charles podium was full of spanish fans hating, saying he only got the podium because carlos wasn't there or people saying they only celebrate charles podium and not carlos podium (not true)

On tik tok is even more extreme, carlos is the loved on there and they always find a way to dismiss charles, the amount of "ferrari fired the wrong driver" there

And even on twitter, while yes when it comes to charles x carlos fans I think charles fans are louder on the hate,

But charles get so much hate for other f1 fans in general for unfair reasons pole/win conversion, "prone to error" "lecrash".

He's been really consistent from monza to now, but he still called inconsistent. Other drivers make mistakes and crash and don't get half of the reputation he gets.

They even call him "lespotify" mocking him for the music side ?? Like god forbid drivers has hobbies that aren't other sports.

Also it's easier to think he doesn't get hate from carlos fans there if your algorithm mostly shows english tweets, because the spanish side? Its ugly. Although I don't think they are necessarily "carlos fans" first, since a lot of them are just spanish and alonso fans who also hype carlos, but they're always calling charles homophobic slurs (because in their minds charles is not "manly" enough) and saying really awful stuff.

True that, you summed it up better than anyone else. Both the fandoms are crossing lines that are not ok. To criticise a driver based on there skills is one thing to be a disturbance to mental peace of another person is a whole another thing.

Italian media worships Charles like Spanish media does with Carlos. I don't know about who is paying what media if there is no proof of it. These kids just create unnecessary tension in the group and make formula one experience for people like us bad. I had people (Charles fans) come after me on twitter because I praised Carlos for his win while simultaneously appreciating Charles's drive and P4. I didn't even say anything bad but I had 29 "fans" come after me.

I am a newbie and I enjoy the sport but the way these unhinged fans behave makes me sad that I don't really have a platform to share what I think about a sport without any fear of toxic fans coming after me.

To be honest everyone is in the same boat as you, every genuine charlos fan is struggling. They are just few people that are truly non toxic on twitter and even on tumblr.

But my issue is that not just Spanish media, every other channel streaming f1 is against Charles. Sky sports Italia had his own issues last year. The main stream media has a problem with him. That is not cool even if we leave the Italian and Spanish media channels.

Buddy, not that its an excuse or is ok but Carlos gets about 100x more hate from Charles fans than Charles gets from Carlos fans. This from someone who's an equal fan of both and doesn't pit either against the other. I see maybe one incident of Charles hate online a day from a Carlos fan, and endless vitriol directed at Carlos from Charles fans even though I deliberately try to avoid it.

Dude I have seen both forms of hate towards Carlos and towards Charles. Twitter is madness for both of them.

Both fans cross limits that are not alright, saying Carlos has a father Charles doesn’t and all that nepotism about Carlos making fun of him after his surgery . All of that is clearly crossing the line.

But it’s hate from Spanish media that is wrong they are so deliberately attacking Charles or not just Spanish media every media is trying to portray Charles as a villain.

The things is none of them is at fault and the hate needs to stops.

I don’t understand what Sainz fans want from Charles. The amount of hate he gets from Spanish media and from Carlos fans because Carlos got removed is insane. It’s not like Charles asked for Carlos to be removed.
