Why do people get so upset when you say you are trying to become skinnier they'll be like "oh no you are perfect" or "thats a silly thing to think about you look amazing" but applaud someone else when they say that they are trying to have bigger muscles or something.

News flash: Both goals involve changing something about yourself. Both goals have the ability to be achieved by toxic and unhealthy methods. Its not "sad" for me to want to work on something about myself unless the work I'm doing to achieve this physical goal is harmful.
