Twitter users are defending their right to assume Picasso was a renaissance artist. Tiktok users think watching any film made outside the US makes you a snob. “Replace classic lit with YA and fan fiction” discourse is flourishing. I think we’re just living in anti intellectual times.

Mini T update!
I'm delighted to inform my endlessly adoring fans that I! Have! Amazing! Eyebrows!
It caught me by surprise just now. I shaved my face (as I have specklings of facial hair developing in various places) and blabbering to my partner about how proud I am of my four chin hairs and my fuzzy neck.
I took an after picture because I thought it was funny that despite my facial hair not being outwardly noticeable, I still look extremely baby faced/clean-shaven after the fact.
When I looked at it to boost my gender euphoria, I noticed the front of my eyebrows were getting kinda fuzzy... then I noticed how dark they've gotten.
Guys, gals, and pals... These eyebrows are to die for. These are, like, my dream eyebrows. It's not the most noticeable to anyone else, but it's so nice.

I feel dutiful in posting about this to shame health care workers who talk transphobic shit behind the patients' backs.
Something I heard working in the ER today:
"No, he is fucking weird. He's in his 70s and decided he wants to become a woman. And is painting his nails." -A kind woman's attending nurse.

I asked one of my (male) friends to stop using the phrase “man up” and he has been using “fortify” for the past two weeks instead and it’s just a little thing but honestly it makes a difference
and tbh it’s also pretty funny when I start to deflate in the library and he leans over and goes “FORTIFY”

Tw: Talk of medical stuff; n3edles
I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO PUT THIS IN MY HRT UPDATE OMG
When I did my injection the other night, I was having some trouble keeping my hands steady, AND THE NEEDLE SPUN WHILE I WAS INJECTING.
My soul left my body for a second, I swear.
Now I have this little red circle where my injection site is. Guess it bled under the skin lol
The redness around it is from me rubbing. Ignore it lol.

Bonus, some tummy hair!

2 MONTHS ON T
Heeyy! I'm a couple of days late posting this... But hey, I'm here aren't I?
I've had a dosage change from .2mL to .4mL! My testosterone levels are now in lower male ranges.
For me, outward changes are minimal. No changes that are noticeable enough to arouse questions from people out of the loop.
However, my voice is definitely dropping. I've had several people ask if I'm sick. The voice cracks are otherworldly. Heck, I couldn't even go "woo" at a performance I was watching. It just came out as a shrill whistle instead.
That being said, I used the "voice tools" app to see where my ranges are, and for the most part, they're in male range! I've always had a very androgynous voice that, depending on the situation, would go either way. I think that definitely works in my favour. It's still on the high side of male voice tones, but!! I'll take it! I don't want a very deep voice personally.
Singing poses a serious challenge for me, though. Even on days or times when my voice seems the same as pre-T or no voice cracks are present. I can't get to my same usual notes. Which!! Frustrates me but is understandable. I am working on continuing that control with pitch.
I find that singing defaults in my chest now, compared to my head like prior.
I am growing more hair on my body. Especially on my stomach. The places where hair already grew on my face is becoming more plentiful. In most lightings, you can't notice the faint starter stash on my lip, but I see it more. Enough that I shave it to avoid my parents noticing. Honestly, that light mustache is kinda cute!! But I don't really like facial hair for myself.
I have also noticed a change in scent. My natural body odour is definitely less pleasant than before. As well as odour in senstive places being different. For someone who struggles with these kinds of changes, it's been a little rough. My partner insists that I likely smell fine, but I feel less certain.
Something odd that I've noticed is that my sensory issues are increased. I've always had sensory issues with my palms, and now it seems to be doublefold. Super unfortunate. Can't tell if it's the T or not, though.
I will not talk about bottom growth today; just know all is well.
Other than that, there are no more recent updates!
Unless something significant occurs before then, I will likely not update until the four month marker! I will keep you all posted!
Thanks for reading!

Love this list.
It is baffling to me that ANYONE can have the audacity to feel righteous over AI garbage as if there is anything redeeming about it??
The "AI artists" who defend and defend, saying it's a new art form and blah blah blah blah... really are just chasing the endorphins of creation.
There is so much satisfaction that comes from completing an art piece that you made. Instead of practicing, these AI obsessors are clinging to the single ounce of satisfaction they get from seeing an idea come to life. Even though its not their art. Its not their energy or time.
Imagine plugging a phrase into a search engine and claiming the first picture off google as your masterpiece.
Can't afford art school?
After seeing post like this 👇
Tumblr media
And this gem 👇
Tumblr media
As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.
Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.
📺Here is my list:
Proko (Free)
Marc Brunet (Free but he does have other classes for a cheap price. Use to work for Blizzard)
Aaron Rutten (free)
BoroCG (free)
Jesse J. Jones (free, talks about animating)
Jesus Conde (free)
Mohammed Agbadi (free, he gives some advice in some videos and talks about art)
Ross Draws (free, he does have other classes for a good price)
SamDoesArts (free, gives good advice and critiques)
Drawfee Show (free, they do give some good advice and great inspiration)
The Art of Aaron Blaise ( useful tips for digital art and animation. Was an animator for Disney)
Bobby Chiu ( useful tips and interviews with artist who are in the industry or making a living as artist)
Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
📚Here is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates)
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, ect Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Libresprite (free, for pixel art)
Those are the ones I can recall.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.

HEY YOU!
Yeah, you! Are you trans? Do you like reading books? Or watching movies?
Do you like media about trans men/transmasculine characters but don't know where to find it?
That's sooo crazy because I have this little spreadsheet I'm working on where I'm trying to document all media with protagonists/major characters who are FTM or transmasculine.
The spreadsheet currently has 200+ entries spread across the following categories:
Books
Manga
Memoirs and non-fiction
Movies
TV Shows
Graphic novels / Comics
Webcomics
Audio dramas
Books and movies are also sorted by:
Which character is trans (MC, love interest, antagonist, etc)
If the trans character is POC
The trans character's sexuality (Because I saw lots of transhet guys sad about only being able to find gay romances)
If the author/actor is also trans (if we know for sure)
It's free to use, and free to add to as well! Editing permissions are on, and I check on the spreadsheet every now and then to make sure everything is in order and to clean up.
If you know something that isn't on the list, please add it! You don't have to fill in every single column, but fill it to the best of your abilities.
If you don't want to use the big ass long link below, you can also use: bit.ly/FTM-protags
I made this because I want it to be a community resource. So even if you're not a trans guy or transmasculine person, please reblog!

Comic about trans men in the health care system I made for magazine Ottar last autumn! Please note that it presents a Swedish perspective unless stated otherwise, as it is mostly based on Swedish studies. I would however argue that it has implications on the state of healthcare for trans people in other places as well. Thank you so much Hedvig for translating this!
