Look, I do not care what consenting adults do amongst each other. So long as no one is being harmed it's not my concern. If people want to have fun with power dynamics, they should go forth and enjoy it.

I remember reading comments on Reddit by people who hated the Netflix show 1899, and they were whining about how they watched it with dubs and that it confused them, because they didn't know certain characters weren't supposed to understand each other.

The stupidity of people never fails to show up.

1899 is meant to be watched with subtitles. Yet a bunch of morons put the dubbed version on, even though a huge aspect of the show is the language barrier between the characters.

1899 definitely would've worked better as a novel instead of a show. Because some stupid viewers out there couldn't be bothered to watch with subtitles like they should have done.

Getting mad at 1899 because you decided to watch it with dubs instead of subtitles is like getting mad that you can't see your television screen because you put a blanket over it. Your confusion and anger is your own fault.
