usually i’m not a big fan of watching combat but it’s always so much fun to watch the bad kids fight, especially in the last stand. they each have their own unique and interesting style. fabian ballet-dancing on motherfuckers, riz using a gun in a fantasy setting as well as a bunch of other silly tech, kristen honoring cassandra by killing bitches while also cracking jokes, adaine with all of her little creatures, fig being the most metal bitch alive even when rolling low, and of course, gorgug’s incredible and always interesting mixture of barbificer.

Hey, shout out to systems with "frustrating" or "socially bad" traits.

systems who seem indecisive, "hot and cold", disloyal, dishonest, etc. to others due to subtle switches, passive influence, being median, amnesia barriers, etc. between headmates with very different opinions, wants, and moods

systems who have headmates with "scary" attributes/symptoms, like hallucinations, delusions, anger issues, hypersexuality, low/no empathy, selfishness, need for attention, etc. especially those afraid they're perpetuating the "evil alter" stereotype

systems who never know who's fronting. especially those with memory barriers, those who struggle with feeling any sense(s) of personhood, and/or those who struggle to keep close bonds with people due to this

systems who struggle with meltdowns, tantrums, outbursts, pathological demand avoidance, poor sense of social norms, and other tendencies/issues that make being social or just existing in public difficult

systems with fluctuating sexualities and/or triggers that make it difficult to remain with a partner/partners (or to date in the first place)

systems who infight in-system and have trouble making decisions without intense internal backlash

systems who have trouble keeping self care (and may go out of the house dirty/disheveled) due to other mental illness or due to frequent fronters being unmotivated, forgetful, or having sensory issues or triggers that interfere with self care tasks

systems whose "self defense" relies on people pleasing, avoiding stressors, getting overly defensive, or getting angrier than "reasonable"

You are loved, you are appreciated, you deserve to be a part of society, you deserve to be happy, you deserve to be understood and given patience... you deserve to be able to create, love, heal, be respected, be treated like your own age, to lead, to have a voice, to feel safe.

realizing now that the ratgrinders probably DIDN'T kill lucy frostblade at all. likely, they were all killed by the same entity (jace or some other proxy of the rage goddess) at the same time and lucy was just the only one with the integrity to stay dead, instead of becoming a puppet. that's why ruben was so sad when he said she "stuck to her guns." because he wishes he had been able to be that brave instead of living with a constant anger inside him that overshadows every other part of his life! their grief is, on some level, probably genuine

but now they've passed the moral event horizon and killed buddy almost as a sort of "initiation" ritual. a messed-up version of hazing. "you can't be one of us until you die and come back wrong too"

PERFECTLY FINE tier:

Whatever Fig got - she says she's getting one in the Gold Gardens episode, but never what.

MIXED BLESSING tier:

Fabian's new neck tattoo that has magical protections against curses (good) but is also heavy solid gold in his neck (seems bad?)

BAD tier:

Fabian's PREVIOUS neck tattoo that lacked those magical protections.

REALLY BAD tier:

The infernal contract on that one guy's back this episode.

HOLY SHIT THAT'S BAD tier:

Riz's Memento board covering his entire upper body, which admittedly technically also led to an apocalypse.

Riz’s first game on the Owlbears is a hot, sweltering day, everyone in the stands sweating as they cheer and jibe at the teams. Kristen Applebees with pale skin, red hair, and a multitude of freckles is no exception. Jawbone had shoved a sunhat on her before she left and Adaine and her traded sunscreen back and forth and she stayed hydrated she did, she really really did.

But three days later and in the middle of a flare. A flare that started the morning after the game.
