sounded about right until i realized that you were talking about this in relation to trans people. cis gay men can be attracted to trans men and still be gay (and vice versa with cis lesbian women and trans women). yes, people saying they have to be attracted to trans people and pushing it on them is wrong, but they can still be attracted to them and be gay/lesbian.

If you think lesbians should be attracted to males and gay men should be attracted to females then you’re just homophobic.
