have some of my soft thoma headcanons b/c i'm soft for him

(under a read more b/c it's long and i'm down bad)

gives the best massages that leave you melting. he's gentle with you. careful fingers press into your shoulders, into your back, into your warmth. and if his fingers brush against your skin in a way that tickles, it may not be an accident.

gently wipes crumbs off your face with his thumb after you eat. he's laughing lightly, and has the softest look in his eyes. did you like the meal he cooked for you? if you did... he would gladly do it all over again.

on that note, he carries around medicine for you. medicine for colds, for fevers, for mild coughs. he prides himself as a protector, and his endless list of remedies attests to that. he also carries around stomach medicine for you, after an unfortunate hotpot night that left you feeling... not the best (he's apologized with tummy rubs, don't worry!)

focuses on the little things. what are you allergic to? are you scared of anything? maybe you mentioned something about a book you wanted to read a couple days back. you find it sitting on your bed, along with a new bookmark. he notices. and he cares.

he likes it when you help him tie his hair!! he's quite adept at tying it himself but he likes it when you run your fingers through his hair. he especially likes it when you help him tie his ponytail with the red cord he always wears. he thinks that it looks very cute when it ends up a little lopsided :>

the type to always mention "the dogs missed you today!" if you don't have the time to go visit the strays with him. because he knows that when he says "i miss you", he speaks for everyone.

hearth and hugs. he holds you with all the care in the world. strong arms wrap around you. he's a warm weight against you. thoma likes to lightly squeeze you when he hugs. a little squeeze, just a little higher. conveys wholeheartedly that, "i'm here with you."

probably likes to playfully blow raspberries on your tummy. it doesn't matter when you push him away; the little smile on your face is worth it.

if you have your ears pierced, he'll give you one of his red studs to wear. in exchange, you can give him one of yours! even when you're apart, you're both still together.

purchases matching household goods for the both of you. matching black bowls you use for dinner. matching red chopsticks. yours always has a little extra something. sometimes a gold embellishment, sometimes an extra heart scratched into the side. he likes that you guys match, but he thinks you still deserve something extra special.

his voice is quiet and sleepy when you guys chatter amongst yourselves in the night. he's telling you about his day. the kamisato clan... the merchants he spoke to today... absentmindedly moves his hands when he speaks. his hands always find themselves inching towards yours, though. loves to gently play with your fingers as he speaks—subtle brushes against your knuckles and light touches that dance on your fingertips. it always ends up with your hands intertwined. together.
