KasaTaka where Takao accidently confesses like it's nothing and Kasamatsu gets pissed?
//Takao really comes at you from outta left field huh? Hope this satisfies your imagination nonny~ I couldn’t see this going anywhere else but Fluff-ville~//
December 22nd, the last day most clubs get to practice at school clubs, before the week vacation. Shuutoku usually practices early in the day and gets out before dinner, Kaijou practices until late. So Takao decided to hop on a train to Kanagawa after practice, he had to drop by a relative’s place anyway to pick up something for his sister.
Stretching as he climbed off his train he headed over to Kaijo, waiting at the entrance originally was his plan. But Kise caught sight of him as he was leaving and brought him back to the gym, Kasamatsu was still practicing. It was still strange that he’d been able to get along with Kise, so it felt weird being caught by the model and dragged back to the gym “Senpai!”
Takao felt himself flinch as Kise’s loud voice cut across the otherwise silent gym, and he saw Kasamatsu’s form slip and the ball ricocheted off the rim. The brunette shook his head glancing at the sparkling blonde beside him, mentally counting down until the kick. 30 seconds maybe? 1s Kasamatsu was tense... 5s he turned his head towards the entry of the gym... 10s he realized that Kise was there, probably didn’t register the brunette with him at all... 15s Kise called out again waving dramatically... 20s Kaijo’s captain ran over towards them... 35s A jump kick to the side brought Kise to his knees and he ended up pulling Takao down with him.
Takao who had been more or less expecting it, tried to free his arm, but the rainbow crew were all a lot more muscular than they looked. So realizing there was little chance of escape he braced himself so he wouldn’t fall. So he was awkwardly standing leaning to the left with Kise clinging to his arm. Despite that he offered a sheepish smile and greeted “Yo Kasamatsu-senpai~ Sorry~ I came to visit” He offered his own smile and sparkle to keep the captain from abusing the ace anymore.
Kasamatsu felt his anger wane a bit as he finally took notice of the hawk, who was linked to the kitten whimpering on the ground. Takao petted Kise’s hair comforting the teary model with a soft “There, there. Thank you Kicchan, sorry you got kicked because of me” He helped the model up and was hugged tightly which earned a wince and Kasamatsu asked exasperatedly “...Right... So why are you here Takao...?”
The point guard who was trying to placate the model and have a conversation with his crush simultaneously was not doing a good job focusing on Kise, Kasamatsu and not being suffocated at once so he answered in his usual playful tone something he hadn’t said yet despite their random dates “Hm... Is it wrong of me to visit someone I like before they go away for Christmas?” Takao managed to escape Kise’s embrace and tried to catch his breath. Kise smiled and whispered to Takao “Have a good date Takacchi, tell me all about it later. You owe me dinner for letting me get kicked~” He headed out leaving a very confused hawk.
Takao’s eyes went wide as he turned from watching Kise disappear down the steps and found Kasamatsu was red from his ears to his neck. “Idiot... That’s how you chose to confess?!” Blinking a few times he tilted his head and grinned “Hmmmm? But Yuki-chan~ I’ve told you before that I like you. Remember back when we first met? You didn’t believe me at all~” The hawk hummed and walked over to his senpai putting his hand on Kasa’s cheek. The captain was trying to cover his face, his eyes narrowed in a glare at Takao “Tsk...Don’t get so cocky.. That was you trying to set Kise and Midorima up, that wasn’t a confession.”
“Mah, mah~ Sure I wanted to make things fun, but I really was confessing to you~ I did want to spend more time with you, but Shin-chan is super needy~ Be-sides~ You were going to turn down the food I made you anyway because you said you were full.” Takao pouted a bit and turned his eyes away “So... How could I tell you again? You avoid it every time Yuki-chan...” Takao might always be smiling and radiating happiness like Kise, but he was also actually fragile in a way that the model was not.
Still the captain sighed angrily “Tsk... Don’t get so upset over that. You made waaaay too much food. Besides you always confess like it’s a joke. Do you not trust me? How long have we been dating? Next time you better say it properly. And not in front of Kise or I won’t forgive you” His face was red and he was glaring straight into the hawk’s eyes but Kasamatsu was both happy and pissed that he got to hear those words as an early Christmas gift.
He was going to be too happy to focus on the movie or the cake they lined up for tonight.

Omega! Hanamiya X Alpha! Imayoshi AU?? :) Do anything you want with it! Thank you, love! I love your blog!
//Hmm~ Well I’m not sure if this ended up getting resubmitted or if another nonny appeared since this is at the top of my inbox now~ But I have a few ideas for a different one so shall we dance nonny?// [NSFW]
Fate was cruel, destiny was twisted and love was cruel. In a world where three classes are inescapable from the moment your body reaches puberty, however early that might be; your fate is sealed. Alphas the ultimate ‘rulers’ of the world, Betas the normal working class and Omegas the ‘breeders’ or the world. Two treasures and one trash in the eyes of the realists. Omegas were rare and treated like commodities. Alphas were trained in specialized locations, they rarely crossed paths.
However destiny likes to play jokes, for an Alpha family to produce a high classed Omega was rarer than a Beta. Even rarer still for the child to produce Omega hormones when they were a toddler then show Alpha traits. Such was the life of Hanamiya Makato, from the time he was born until he was about five or so he was pampered as an Omega. Though he was also neglected for being an Omega in an Alpha household, when he turned six although his ‘gender’ hadn’t changed he was no longer producing hormones and his physical prowess grew akin to an Alpha. With the force of his father behind him, his records were ‘sealed’ and he was sent to an Alpha training school. Growing surrounded by their hormones and not producing his own
Years passed, the school changed from Elementry to a combined middle and high school. At the ripe age of sixteen, as a ‘high school freshman’ Hanamiya the ‘alpha’ took a leave of absence for a few weeks. One of the most popular and most twisted students was obviously noticed when that happened. However on the other side of the school there was a second year who had also been forced to take a two week leave. The cards were out of their hands.
Imayoshi Shouichi, hearing that name was enough to make the blood drain from Hanamiya’s face on a good day. Yet seeing him sitting in a domineering way in the head position in his own home made his blood turn cold. Makato felt himself swallow, although he was used to being surrounded by Alpha charms, and he’d come to terms with their influence, he was not prepared to face what was to come here; every nerve in his body was on high alert; half screaming in desire and the other half trying for control wanting to run. Imayoshi was one year Makato’s senior, they played on the same sports team; they shared several electives coming from two very high pedigrees. Both being groomed to succeed their family companies. Now across from each other in a house unfamiliar to Imayoshi, but the fox felt his lips curl and his eye lids lifted slightly watching the ‘flower’ before him.
“Ara? Makato, ‘s there a reason that they sent ya here? Weren’t cha supposed to be goin’ home for some event?” Imayoshi was no fool, his eyes were practically undressing Hanamiya as he watched the point guard squirm uneasily before him, taking a breath Makato crossed over taking a spot on one of the sofas neither close nor far from Imayoshi, not answering him. His skin was pale, but his cheeks were flushed. Imayoshi ignored the silence and continued “I wonder what’cha would be here for? It sounded like the owner of this house was planning ta ask me to take their Omega child as my partner; For tha future of both families. Yet Makoto-yo aren’t ya an only child? How could two Alphas be considered prosperous?”
Hanamiya felt his head aching, he knew that his father had been wanting to set him up as a ‘stepping-stone’ if they combined two families of a high pedigree; even if he was an Omega with another high pedigree Alpha around no one would complain over inheritance rights. The junior was clearly not pleased with the teasing tone and he went defensive “It’s not like I want to be here either... I didn’t have a clue they’d pick you of all people...” Hanamiya glared slightly, though with his face flushed from the hormones in the air it was far from intimidating and much more alluring. Even Imayoshi who was a master of not reacting outwardly felt himself succumb a bit, he wanted to give into the canal desires he felt.
Thankfully Makato’s father chose that timing to arrive, he was all smiles and business. “Ah wonderful, you’ve both arrived. Imayoshi Shoichi-dono thank you for coming all this way. I’m certain you’ve heard from your father already, as you requested this meeting. It seems you two are already acquainted though. I’m Hanamiya Shouto, Makato’s father. As surprising as it may be, considering he’s enrolled in your Alpha Academy, Makato is a pureblood Omega. Although he was born in this household, and he has higher athletic capabilities he is the Omega we wished to ask you to marry.”
Imayoshi’s eyes swept over Hanamiya’s father, appraising him. Indeed the reason he came to this marriage interview was merely curiosity; A high noble Alpha family with a pureblood reputation, offering an Omega? He was of course familiar with his cute little junior from school, did that mean his junior had a sibling? That was unlikely he was registered as an only child and was as spoiled as one would be. So then, how could the Hanamiya family propose a marriage? Unless Makato was at school with a file built of lies. “Hmm” The fox smirked a bit his eyes sweeping back to Makato, closing so it wasn’t clear whom he was looking at once more. He leaned forward his elbows on the armrests hands linking under his chin he half purred “I see. Hanamiya-sama is wise; Ya wish ta preserve you’re company, and unit our two prefectures with a political marriage. Ta prevent rumors ya waited until Makato was old enough ta not be a liability and proposed this. My father trusts my judgement which is why I’m here alone, and I wonder then what’cha were plannin’ if I were to refuse?”
Makato felt his hands ball up in his lap, he chanced a glance at the senior. His heard was sounding like thunder a moment ago... Now it felt like it was going to shatter in silence. It wasn’t like he wanted to mate with Imayoshi, it wasn’t as if he’d started to fantisize about him. Of course not. So why did it feel like he was going to cry, hearing the words that sounded like rejection. His shoulders shook, but he didn’t speak.
Of course Hanamiya’s father didn’t notice Makato’s mood, nor the fact that Imayoshi’s amusement was coming from tormenting his son. Hanamiya frowned “Is it... Did Makato end up offending you at some point Imayoshi-dono? If you wished to refuse there would be nothing I could do accept it and request you to keep this a secret. Otherwise I’d have to withdraw Makato from the academy for obvious reasons. An Omega can’t be left alone in Alpha territory with their identity known after all.”
Silence. The only sounds were the clock ticking, breathing and Makato’s thundering heart. He prayed that no one else could hear that though. Biting his lip Makato just stared at Imayoshi who seemed to be in deliberation. Five minutes. Ten. Thirty. One hour. Finally the tension was too high for Hanamiya’s father “Imayoshi-dono it is getting late, would you like to take your time contemplating here? We can prepare a room for you.” Makato was clearly prepared to protest but was silenced by a glare from his father “Of course, Makato would tend to your every need, as well as our staff.” The spider could only stare at his balled fists, biting the inside of his lip to keep it from trembling. Who would accept such a proposition, Hanamiya knew that Imayoshi was notorious for messing around, why would he take a proposal with someone as far away from his ideal like him...
Of course, Makato didn’t realize at first he was starting to produce hormones as his thoughts ran dark. Imayoshi’s lips curled “Hmm... Well then I’ll thank ya for ya hospitality Hanamiya-sama. I wasn’t able ta rest on the way over, I doubt Makato-chan is in much better position than I am. Perhaps the two of us can deliberate t’night.” Hanamiya flinched and reluctantly looked at Imayoshi sighing to himself as he stood “As if I have much choice. Shall I show you to the guest room then?” Chuckling Imayoshi smirked and lifted an eyebrow “Why don’t we visit your room first Makato-chan?” Hanamiya’s father clapped his hands happily and bowed his head “I’ll have the staff prepare anything you wish Imayoshi-dono, so don’t hesitate to call for anything. I’ll leave you in Makato’s capable hands.” After properly bidding a good bye the adult simply left the room and Imayoshi stood up walking over to Makato, whispering against his ear “Ya know... It’s almost cruel ta think you’re releasing ya hormones now isn’t it? Did my contemplatin’ scare ya that badly?”
Hanamiya took a step back and covered his ear, the sensation of the hot air against it made his heart race. He could feel his body responding and he frowned, confusion appearing; He’d been taking very strong heat suppression medication to be able to attend the Alpha academy, so why... How was this happening? And why did it seem like Imayoshi who should be taking a potent drug was influenced? Swallowing his saliva and thoughts he hissed “I’m not scared of anything to do with you. I’ll show you to the guest room, it’s a bad idea to come to mine, since our medicines seem to be ineffective?”
As soon as those words left his mouth he felt a shiver run down his spine, his body was starting to crave Imayoshi. There was really only one time that both Omega and Alpha drugs were ineffective; if they met their fated partner. The stimuli from being exposed to the pheromones of the one meant to be your life partner was overwhelming, even though science tried to help make stronger drugs, it was impossible to deny ‘fate’ and it was almost cruel. Makato didn’t hesitate to drag Imayoshi upstairs. There was a nameplate on one of the rooms that indicated his room a bit further towards the end of the hall where he was less likely to be ignored. He stopped in front of a room a few doors away and on the opposite side of the hall “T-this room should suit you...” His fingers were stiff as he let go of the others wrist, swallowing he backed away towards his room “Y-you should get some rest... It’s a long trip to come here...”
Imayoshi felt like electricity was running through his veins when Makato touched him, that was outside of his predictions; Makato was actually something so important to him? Since Imayoshi knew a bit more of the side-affects he could only chuckle. Either a fated pair, or very strong personal feelings would cause this. His tongue brushed over his lips, he could hear Makato stammering trying to escape, but the fox chose to ignore it and followed him back to his room. When he tried to block Shoichi from entering he used some of his own pheromones to weaken the resistance. He did not expect that Makato would actually be so weak to them he was forced to use him to support himself. Imayoshi chuckled and pushed the door to Makato’s room open, wrapping his arms around him and lifting him easily enough. Although he wasn’t light, an Alpha’s strength shouldn’t be underestimated, with a gentle kick the door shut and he tapped the lock for good measure. Originally he wanted to browse the spider’s room and tease him about things, but there were bigger issues at hand.
With a glance the captain spotted the bed and tossed Hanamiya onto it loosening his tie he bound Makato’s hands before ripping open his shirt and running a hand down his chest. His cold steely eyes were burning with desire as he saw his cute kohai trembling under him. Imayoshi climbed onto the bed smirking as he loosened Makato’s belt. Hanamiya seemed to find his voice, but not his strength, meekly he tugged at the tie on his wrists and squirmed trying to back away from the senior “I-Imayoshi... d-don’t” Smirking the captain rubbed his hand over the crotch of Hanamiya’s pants slowly from front to back “Ya say that, but ya know your body is much more honest. You’re already so wet Makato-chan it must be uncomfortable.” To relieve the tension he slipped off the other’s pants and couldn’t help whistling in attempt to degrade the other “Well, I could feel your desire through your pants, but I didn’t expect ya to be this wet~ D’ya want me that badly? Heh~ Ya can be too cute Makato~” He didn’t slip the drenched boxers off just yet, he wrapped his hand around his length over the moist fabric and began moving his hand, as expected the desires of an Omega in heat were nothing to laugh at. Hanamiya’s hips moved towards Imayoshi’s hand and his lips trembled as he reluctantly moaned in desire “Nn, mm d-don’t” His face was already flushed and his breathing was bated, although the room was chilly he didn’t notice it at all. Hanamiya felt like his skin was on fire.
Every where Imayoshi touched was on fire, how could he want such an awful sadist this much? The captain shivered, loosening his own belt, the bulge in his pants was intimidating to the little omega, but he wanted it so badly. The desire perfumed the room, taking a deep breath Imayoshi shuddered “Ara... You’re not even tryin’ ta hold back your pheromones now? Such a dishonest and slutty little omega. I think I’ll have ta punish ya, so ya realize what cha need ta say next time” His fingers clenched around the moist fabric and he tore the boxers away with so much force it left red streaks running down his skin. Makato yelped and splurted a bit of cum he held his breath for a moment to try to keep from making sounds. But that wasn’t going to be allowed.
The fox pushed Hanamiya’s legs open wide smirking “You’re so lusty Mako-chan, it doesn’t even look like you need much preparation.” He licked his lips and leaned forward thrusting two fingers into Hanamiya’s twitching entrance before biting down on a nipple at the same moment pinching the other. Makato spasmed under the rough sensation, his voice betrayed him and he practically screamed out; of course he would have been thankful his room was sound proofed if he could think rationally. “A-ah~ I-Imayoshi” his body writhed against the feelings. The pain was so intense but it sent waves of pleasure through him as his nipples were abused, one being pulled, rolled and pinched; the other being bitten and sucked so strongly it was causing his head to get fuzzy “S-senpai” The fingers stretching his behind were so dexterous and strong he felt chills, his eyes squeezed shut “N-no... P-please... d-don’t.” His hips rolled and the curious fingers found the perfect spot making Makato scream out again and sputter, he wouldn’t last long.
Imayoshi winced in pain, seeing his little flower so lewd was sending waves of lust he couldn’t begin to explain. All at once he removed his mouth and hands and watched Makato’s body arch after him then collapse as he freed his own length he smirked “Now then Mako-chan~ Won’t ya tell me what’cha want?”
Makato slowly opened his eyes when the other had drawn away the desire in his eyes was manifesting as tears. He swallowed seeing Imayoshi between his legs, his heart started hammering harder. Against his pride he hissed “Y-ou...” Smirking Imayoshi licked his lips “Sorry Mako-chan didn’t catch that” Hanamiya glared at him, looking cute with his face flushed he hissed “I... want you... I-inside me”
“Good boy.” With a surprisingly diligent moment he slipped the tip in giving Hanamiya a chance to adjust the entrance, after that he thrust deeply all at once. Hanamiya’s voice cracked as he cried out, but he was silenced by the lips crashing down on his. Imayoshi was truly a sadistic lover, his movements were cruel, he was making certain to ‘miss’ his pleasure point until the very last moment when they came together. It was hard to resist the urge to bite the nape of his neck to steal his future. But it was even more cruel of him to resist.
The two were truly exhausted from the day and ended up passing out still connected after their second round. When Makato woke up, Imayoshi was possessively wrapped around him. He felt chills when he tried to move and felt something leaking out of him and worse that the was still something inside him, he moaned against his wishes and covered his mouth before shaking Imayoshi with his free hand. Imayoshi wasn’t a happy one to be woken so forcefully, he glared at Hanamiya and simply pinned him to the bed “That’s a horrible way ta try’n wake someone ya know Mako-chan~ Did ya forget? Everythin’ ya put me through?”
Imayoshi really wasn’t up for it, but he did have to punish such an annoying little Omega, so after one round he pulled out before allowing Hanamiya to come and laid back down yawning “Nn.. Mako-chan... C’mere a sec” Hanamiya had gotten up unsteadily to go to the bathroom, he’d have to wash up and take a morning after which would destroy his body for a bit. The spider reluctantly walked over to Imayoshi who grabbed his arm and pulled him down forcefully turning his face away he bit the nape of his neck with more force than necessary causing his knees to give out he plopped to the floor beside the bed and stared at Imayoshi holding the back of his neck.
“Ya can never escape me, I’ll be havin’ ya stay by my side whether ya want ta or not. So just give in.” Chuckling he put a hand on the spider’s cheek his shocked deer in the headlights expression was too much, he turned his face away and Imayoshi asked “Aw are ya that happy I didn’t ditch ya?” Makato hissed like a cat on the defense “Who’d be happy to stay with such a sadist? The hell....  How am I going to hide this at school...?”
Imayoshi chuckled and smirked “I’ll just say I marked ya as mine, no one will question a thing ya know.”

Whee so it’s been a while~
So I’m finally slowly working through my final requests... I got them down from the upper 50s, I’m attempting to jump around, because I don’t want to bleed character muses completely dry ;u;  Feel free to keep tossing me requests/prompts, I’ll probably have more frequent activity starting next week, I’ve been crunching to finish my cosplays for Anime Boston ( ;-; Sorry!)
Also I opened up a multi-fandom blog over at @fictionalfantasy (By ‘opened’ I mean converted an old writing blog from one fandom to multiple because it’s easier that way :D) So if there’s anything that’s not KnB or a KnB crossover you’d like me to write feel free to toss a request over there <3 (I forgot I never mentioned this, so figured tossing it out there now would be a good idea)
Thanks for sticking with me all this time, I hope I get to keep writing for you all for a long time to come ^-^

(( Now it’s a happy belated birthday @kurobasu-writings! I present you AkaMura Fluff~))
There weren’t many people that can make Murasakibara extend effort, he enjoyed going at his pace… Anything that took too much effort just wasn’t worth it, like a new cake shop that was too far away couldn’t be good enough to coax him to go. Or an event that required length travelling just didn’t have any appeal, nothing could be that fun… However his former captain was always one exception, he’d compromise on his ideals. Akachin was the only one that Mukkun could consistently bend to, the level of respect and affection was different.
Kuroko had called Murasakibara and invited him to an event in Kyoto, he was about to deny until the shadow mentioned it was for Akashi-kun. Hesitation took over, and reluctantly the gentle giant agreed. It had been too long since he saw his former captain, and it might not be so bad to visit since there was nothing to do anyway… Not long after he agreed Murasakibara found himself on a train down to Kyoto. He was satisfied he could have some different sweets and a nap on the long ride.
It took quite a while to get from Akita to Kyoto, and despite taking a nap he was still sleepy when he arrived. Following the masses out of the train he saw a familiar small yet elegant figure waiting for him, but no one besides Akashi. Still he greeted tiredly “Akachin?” Akashi smiled a bit and nodded “It’s been a while Atsushi. Tetsuya told me you were coming, so I made certain to come to meet you.” Atushi’s head cocked slightly to one side, wasn’t Kuroko the one who planned this, shouldn’t he be the one showing up? Answering the unasked question Akashi shook his head “If anyone else was planning to come, they have yet to arrive, or inform me of such.” As Murasakibara walked over to Akashi he mumbled something about crushing Kurochin under his breath, and smiled a bit “I missed you Akachin.”
Akashi’s eyes widened for a moment, before he smiled softly. It was a nice change, not having the tension from their Teiko days between them anymore. Perhaps their current relationship was thanks to Kuroko beating their respective teams, he nodded “I missed you as well Atsushi… You must be tired from your long trip, shall we head somewhere to rest? I made preparations when I heard you were coming down.” Murasakibara smiled at his former captain and nodded “Mm… That sounds nice… I wanna spend time with you Akachin. We don’t get to hang out much” Akashi started to lead the way, but with the vast height difference Murasakibara took his hand before they got separated, considering how many people were travelling around, it was too much of a pain.
Of course the size of Murasakibara’s hand eclipsed Akashi’s but at least this time it wasn’t crumby, he’d probably finished his snacks on the train. Akashi was surprised to find Murasakibara not eating his snacks, and also taking hold of his hand. Although it might not be pleasant normally… Perhaps once and a while dropping appearances was fine. Akashi didn’t pull his hand away, and lead the other out to a car that was waiting for them, it was tall enough that Murasakibara wouldn’t be cramped or hit his head, unlike the small sleek models that Akashi usually traveled in. Seeing his companion Akashi’s driver understood why the request was made and smiled a bit seeing how happy the young master looked.
It wasn’t a long trip from the train station to the hotel that Akashi had booked a suite at, the two didn’t talk much during the travel there wasn’t much need it was comfortable to just sit together peacefully for now. They could talk more tonight. Once they arrived at their room Akashi lead Murasakibara to the dining area, and chuckled seeing the childish delight on his partner’s face. The entire table was covered in various pastries, sweets, candies and other snacks for him to enjoy. Of course Akashi had some custom made cakes that incorporated vegetables in an unnoticeable way so that he wouldn’t be malnourished while he was here. The purple hair male was waiting as he admired the layout, it was making his mouth water and Akashi laughed “You don’t need to hold back Atsushi, I had this brought up for you. I know how fast your metabolism is, so we are well equipped for your trip.” Murasakibara smiled a bit and instead went into the sitting room. He sat down before pulling Akashi down with him, there was enough space to comfortably sit like this on the sofa, but that didn’t prevent the red head’s surprise at being pulled into his lap. Muasakibara snuggled into his hair first “Akachin, you really are the best. I wanna recharge with you first, you’re the sweetest thing here.”
Akashi sighed, his cheeks red hearing such innocent words, he’d indulge the other’s whims. After all he came down from Akita just to spend time together… How could anyone deny something so cute? For now it was fine if Atsushi was a bit spoiled… It’s not like Akashi wasn’t enjoying it secretly. He leaned back against the other’s chest and sighed softly, this was quite enjoyable. Akashi murmured “This will be bad for your back if you end up falling asleep though.” Murasakibara shrugged “I don’t mind… I just wanna be with Akachin right now. So this is closest.” Really there was no winning against this giant, the captain accepted his fate and cuddled up to him, gently pressing his lips against the other’s when he managed to move enough he murmured “Alright Atsushi, whatever you want… Thanks for coming to visit me.” Atsushi smiled and cuddled Akashi, it didn’t matter if this were a sofa, right now all that mattered was being as close as possible, because it was too cold in Akita without having Akashi there to snuggle.
Happy Early birthday!! >.> May I ask what your favorite pairing is? :3
it is officially my birthday now! 🎉🎉 thank you!
my favorite pairing is probably either akamura, aoaka, or mibuaka. yes i’m biased towards akashi.

Could you do a hana/taka?
//Why do I feel like a dark Kirisaki AU coming on… Hope this satisfies anon~//
Takao wasn’t from a prestigious family, and he wasn’t someone to be underestimated. Out of everyone in his middle school, only he didn’t give up on basketball and he didn’t entirely come to hate it. He hated the team that degraded what they had worked hard on, after their final match, that no one would remember. Just another team losing to Teiko, they didn’t even make an impression, the five of them didn’t notice… The sixth man had a deadened look of pity. He’d bitten into his lip and had blood trailing down as he bowed that day. He hit the lockers with his fist so hard he broke skin, Takao really was bleeding a good bit that day. His steel eyes were blazing with anger, he wanted that rainbow squad to recognize others, to acknowledge that the kids who broke their asses weren’t just playthings for them… But he couldn’t do it alone. He might have a special talent, but he wasn’t overly intelligent or memorable.
So he was surprised to find two high schools he applied to accepted him, and he had a choice to make Shuutoku High or Kirisaki Daiichi. One was bright orange, and a total powerhouse, logically one of the Miracles would choose to attend such a school… So he decided to check out Kirisaki first, it wouldn’t hurt anything. The school was venomous to say the least, the coach had quit by this point in the year so no one denied the curious hawk to check out the club, one of the teaching aides brought him out and let him in. Hanamiya was surprised that a first year was the one calling the shots and smirked when he saw that Takao was watching from the overhead walkway. Giving his orders he left the others to their drills, a scrimmage for now, practicing their underhanded tactics, and went upstairs.
Takao’s eyes were strong enough to pick up on what should be fouls, and his eyebrows raised, but he also understood this was an amazing talent. Although he loved honest basketball…. With the hatred burning in him at the moment he couldn’t even argue with himself that this would be a bad team, he was torn already. Hanamiya walked up leaning against the rail next to him a smirk on his lips “Takao Kazunari wasn’t it? You’re thinking of enrolling in Kirisaki?” Takao blinked turning his face slightly to look at the other nodding “I wasn’t sure which school to attend, so I wanted to see what the team here was like…” Hanamiya chuckled, Takao felt a chill run up his spine feeling that this teen was dangerous and also amazing being able to lead a team like this as a freshman. “Well you can see what it’s like here. Unless you wanna get up close” There was sort of an unspoken challenge in that and Takao being as cocky as he was simply shrugged “Wouldn’t want to interrupt your practice.”
Hanamiya cocked a brow and smirked “It wouldn’t be interrupting, it’d be a good test to see if you can manage, wouldn’t it moron? After all, why would someone here for basketball join if they wouldn’t even be useful during a practice? You’d have more fun being buried in some school’s cheer squad instead.” The spider knew what keys to press, after all playing any instrument was easy if you knew which strings to pluck. Takao’s eyes darkened a bit, their steely grey met the other’s smirking inky black ones and he glared before laughing. “Fine~ Fine~ It wouldn’t hurt to kill time, I’d love to scrimmage with you senpai. I’d love to know if you think I’d be beneficial~ Or maybe you’ll just try to break me if I’m not so I can’t go anywhere else regardless?” He hummed smiling almost sweetly, but the dark challenge in his own eyes only made Hanamiya smirk more as he lead the other down to the court.
There were a lot of raised brows when the whistle came, Hanamiya tossed out five colored jerseys and instructed a few idle members to get a scoreboard out and mop the floor. Scurrying around they did. Hanamiya stretched a bit before instructing his four teammates and four former regulars to get ready. The eight looked among themselves then to Hanamiya and the middleschooler he’d brought down. There were traces of pity in their eyes as Hanamiya and Takao were having an unspoken challenge. No one really knew who the middle schooler was but they didn’t think someone who was smiling as calmly as he was could fit in here. Hanamiya shrugged and looked at the small point guard “You can go discuss with your team what you’ll do or whatever. Let’s see if you actually have the guts to stand on this court.”
Takao hummed and took the jersey he was being offered shrugging it on he laughed “You really think I’ll break that easily Hanamiya-senpai? I’m not that easy to catch~” The second and third years who were playing with Takao sort of exchanged glances, what sort of cocky little thing were they supporting. There was an air of uneasiness that followed him over to their ‘bench.’ Instead of asking questions he looked at his four teammates tilting his head before pulling a binder out of his bag and flipping through. Nodding he mumbled different things, and each of the four realized that the things he was reading were articles or observations that had been recorded about their play styles from the matches they had played. They were all wondering just who this troublesome kid was more and more, why did they have to get involved in this dispute? Takao introduced himself and was just as polite as he was playful. He said he was counting on them and that he’d be playing point guard, such a mismatched team that  he’d never played with before… How exactly was he going to do anything?
Well that’d be decided soon, hopefully this hopeful kid can at least leave with everything intact. Hanamiya assigned a ref some score keepers and called the line up. A spider facing a hawk, two different types of predators, two different personalities, two mismatched teams. At least Hanamiya had played with the others for part of a year, Takao only had paper knowledge. Still no one in that gym had expected their dance to be so graceful. It wasn’t like Takao could escape the predictions, but it was like he could see what was going to happen. The two of them managed to reach a stalemate before dragging the others in. Takao lost, but it wasn’t a crushing defeat like the others expected, and he wasn’t injured. As if he was dancing on the court he managed to avoid the feet stepping towards him, the elbows targeting his ribs, it was more of a ance than a game to him. When the time ran out and Hanamiya was only four points ahead no one knew how to react to the middleschool brat. Except of course for the agitated Hanamiya.
Takao grinned as he took off the jersey “I told ya that I wouldn’t break that easily~ I can see everything you were trying to do~” Hanamiya sighed, really this type was troublesome but it wasn’t like he couldn’t be used in the spiderweb. The captain drummed his fingers in agitation as he thought before shrugging “If a moron like you does enroll, it’s not like it would hurt to have you on the team. You could be useful as a target” Still hearing the ascent made everyone even more startled, the hawk had passed the test. And Takao made his decision he laughed and smiled “Aww~ You’re a bit of a tsundere aren’t you? You just think I could be helpful~ I think that it could work both ways~ I really want to see what happens when the rainbow breaks” There were some echos of surprise around the room, some cleaning up the balls had dropped them, mops had fallen, a bubble had popped. Such a happy-go-lucky sadist? No one expected that, they expected even less when Makato laughed. He didn’t say anything he just looked at Takao and the two understood how this would play out. “Get lost kid, before I change my mind. Lets see if you can qualify in the spring.”
Takao did as he was told, laughing as he scampered away, he heard the captain yelling about slackers. The hawk didn’t return until that spring, humming happily, looking forward to the chance to break the rainbow had made everything more cheerful. Even more so when he found out he would have been teammates with the shooting guard if he went to Shuutoku. The hawk wasn’t careless though, he knew he’d be heading into battle on day one. As expected the harassment began when he passed the gates, he easily hopped over the foot trying to trip him and leaned back to avoid an elbow to the ribs. Glancing over it was Hara and Yamazaki, there was still the entrance ceremony so it wasn’t like he could skip. He scratched his cheek and asked “What do I owe the honor of being greeted by two senpai? I’ve got to go to that boring opening ceremony now you know~” Hara peeled away his gum shrugging “Hanamiya wanted us to test you, if you dodged he said to go to the gym office after the ceremony to fill out the application.” Yamazaki sighed “He of course didn’t say it in such a friendly tone.” The hawk nodded and went on his way, he remembered seeing said office when the teacher aide brought him out so he didn’t fret over that.
What felt like hours later they were free, they had their class assignments and could leave. So the hawk obediently slipped away to the office, apparently no one used this part of the school during the day. Once the door opened the hawk was pulled in by his tie and the door shut and locked behind him. Takao couldn’t help but wince as his back hit a desk, he was looking up at Hanamiya, although he was slightly surprised he didn’t freak out just propped himself up and asked “What is it Hana-senpai?” The aggravation that rose from those words was clear on Makato’s face he hissed “Do not call me that birdbrain.”
Takao grinned “Hmmm how about Mako-chan then?” Innocently he pressed forward, he really was a brazen first year wasn’t he? Hanamiya had to break him in quickly if he didn’t intend to lose face in front of the team, he glared down at the freshman before him dragging him forward by the tie again. He hissed “You can either call me senpai, or you can not speak. How hard is it for the idea of respect to enter your damn brain?” The hawk’s disarming smile surfaced “Fine~ Fine~ Hana-senpai~ Why did you call me here? Still trying to scare me away?” Sighing Hanamiya relented at least he got the senpai, he yanked the tie causing Takao to feel uncomfortable as it tightened and pulled him forward in unison, as he was about to make a snarky comment Hanamiya crashed his lips against the hawks with bruising force, and bit down drawing blood at one corner, making sure it stung he kissed the hawk deeply enough for him to have to push the other away in the end to catch his breath. Takao’s head was spinning, and he had a feeling he wouldn’t be able to stand properly right away so he quietly looked at the coach who was wiping blood off his lips “Listen birdbrain. On the court and off you’re going to be obedient, and I will let you have a hand in breaking the rainbow, defy me. And I will break you in ways you didn’t know were possible.”
Swallowing his breath Takao realized he could still taste the other, his lips curled as he shakily stood up and wrapped his arms around the captain muttering “Got it captain. But if you wanted to play, you could have just said so~ I don’t mind being broken in~ As long as I can still play.” It was the beginning of a devious tale.
Hanamiya never took shit from anyone, and Takao was the king of sass, he’d break people’s spirits when they crossed the flower. Takao ended up getting a piercing at the corner of his lip under the scar Hanamiya left with that first kiss, it was a spider mark. Together they were almost unstoppable on or off the court. Takao found after a couple months he was definitely more flexible and more numb to pain.

Hey~ Do you have a rules list? I wanted to make sure before sending in a request.
Hi nonny~ I actually never made a rules list :) One day soon I’ll probably try to do that, but I write almost anything. Some requests take longer than others for me to put out, but so far I haven’t come across anything I won’t write so far.
You can request anything! I’ll do my best with whatever requests come my way :)

Would you possibly do a HQ crossover with Kenma and Takao?
It was strange going on college tours, that was always true. Takao had been chatting with Midorima for a while, but the reverse carrot had gone off to talk to some instructors. Pouting a bit to himself he started to wander, trying to avoid the recruiting tables. He heard all the voices blurring together, join this club or take the pamphlet for this one. Shaking his head he tried to clear the noise pollution away, unfortunately when he opened his eyes he was about to crash into someone walking with their head down also having a similar problem who was clearly trying to focus on a game instead. Uh-oh, this is going to suck. Although he could see it coming, there were too many people to dodge and he didn’t want to make this pudding pop drop his game.
Takao knew how expensive those systems were, and even a phone would be something best not to drop. Taking a breath he decided to take a risk to keep them both from getting hurt and from having the system break. The hawk was used to falling anyway, so upon the impact he fell backwards, this caused the startled cat to fall with him, the game system sandwiched between them.Thankfully this red clad kid didn’t weigh much, Takao still coughed hitting the paving stones, they were harder than the wood floors.
Kenma’s eyes widened and his thoughts were racing as he fell, it was a jumble Oh no, I wasn’t paying attention… I must have lost Kuro… Ack… I just got this system if it breaks I’m gong to have issues getting a new one… Wait? This guy… He’s falling to make sure that this doesn’t fall? Of course the system had slipped out of Kenma’s hands on impact, but it was caught by Takao’s chest. Wincing he tried to catch himself to avoid crushing this guy, he looked very uncomfortable to land on in the first place with those muscles. Unfortunately Kenma failed to catch himself and landed entirely against the point guard. Sighing he pushed himself up, tucking the system in his pocket seeing it wasn’t damaged and the GAME OVER screen was showing. “Er… Sorry… I wasn’t paying attention…” He slowly got up and offered a hand to the other wanting to escape the eyes that turned to them as soon as possible.
Takao blinked seeing the fact this kid wanted to escape he got up. Smiling he nodded and laughed lightly “It’s fine, it’s fine~” He chuckled ignoring the stinging pain on the back of his arm and draped it over the kid’s shoulder to hide him from the views of others and lead him off to a fountain he saw on his ventures, it was out of the way of people and wouldn’t hinder either of them. Once clear of the people watching and squawking at them Takao let go and rolled up his sleeve “Sorry if I made you uncomfortable~ You just seemed to want to get out of there as soon as possible~ Being so small you would have been harassed more given that game you were playing right in front of the gaming clubs.” The hawk laughed checking out the reflection of his elbow and splashing some of the fountain water on it, a fabric burn stung like heck but at least it wasn’t bleeding.
Kenma was startled again, he sort of froze when Takao wrapped his arm around him and didn’t have a clue where they were going, stumbling along beside him he had no real choice but to follow confused. When he was released he exhaled and realized he was trembling, he fidgeted with his hands a bit before sitting on the ledge of the fountain watching the other. He mumbled “Er… Thank you… And again… For helping me twice…” This guy was similar to the current Kuro… He was really out going and very courteous, and perhaps deviously smart… Kenma tilted his head “Erm… How did you react so fast…” Takao looked up seeing the other had actually responded to him his eyes widened slightly he smiled He’s cute and honest and curious, unlike Shin-chan~ This is surprising. The point guard rubbed the back of his neck giving an awkward laugh “I wish I could have had a better reaction~ I have really good vision so when I saw we were gonna crash I knew that your system would fall… They’re way to expensive to fix or replace so I just did what would save it… I play basketball so I’m used to hitting the ground a lot… I was surprised though you’re also dressed up in sports gear~ What do you play?”
The cat blinked a couple times listening to Takao’s explanation and tilting his head “Really good vision?” He hesitated and nodded “Mm… I play volleyball…” Takao laughed again and nodded “Yeah~ I basically have crazy strong eye sight, I can see everything around me about the distance of a court when I’m playing ball, about half of that normally… It’s super crazy and I used to get a ton of headaches from it.” Takao whistled softly “Volleyball huh? I never actually tried that one~ The rules were really annoying to keep up with” He smiled sheepishly  and Kenma blinked hesitating before muttering “Oh… I can understand that… That’s why I keep my bangs in my face… I see or hear too much otherwise… It’s really distracting…”
Shock filled Takao’s steel eyes as he nodded totally understanding, it was rare for him to find others who understood the pain of sensory overload like this he nodded again and grinned “I’m Takao Kazunari, nice ta meet you~” Kenma smiled very, very slightly, maybe he wouldn’t be a bad person to befriend “I’m Kenma Kozume… Sorry about before.” Takao grinned brightly and plopped down on the fountain beside him stretching a bit as he did, leaning so far it looked like he’d fall into the fountain if he moved back anymore. The cat’s golden eyes widened as he muttered “You’ll fall in…” Takao sat forward before he did fall thankfully and smiled “Nn I would have deserved it if I did~ Aren’t the sports teams recruiting in the gym? Wanna go check them out? Since I’m guessing you got dumped by your friend too?” The ravenette seemed as if he’d be foolish, but he really was intuitive.
More hesitating Kenma finally nodded and murmured “I probably should… My friend was headed there…”  It was obvious they got split up by the crowd, and with the pudding cup being so short it probably wasn’t obvious right away for someone with normal vision, even if they were talking, which Takao assumed it was one sided. Getting up the two headed to the gym, the volleyball team and basketball teams were using half courts to try to recruit, there was a net in the middle but if anyone used power a ball would fly straight through, and the sidelines were always a risk naturally. As if to prove the thought right a volleyball from the court in front was hurdling towards the two who just walked in and were adjusting to the lighting change.
A startled voice had called out “Watch out!” Both of the two were blinking when Kenma sighed putting his hands up quickly despite his lazy movements from before he was entirely different. He set the ball back easily, the game system was falling out of his pocket from the movement though, since sports jersey’s weren’t meant to hold such large things. Takao had recovered enough to see that and catch it with an “Utto. Not again” There were some surprised gasps from the volleyball side seeing the nimbleness of the two freshman who had just walked in to observe. Kenma put the system back in his bag almost petrified it’d break on the third incident. Takao laughed before Kenma could thank him and grinned “You’re like a different person when you play~ So serious, thanks… Even though they’re softer I don’t doubt that would have hurt.” Kenma gave another rare small smile and nodded before shifting behind the hawk not liking the attention again, earning another chuckle from the hawk as he lead the way over to the net to watch.
Humming softly Takao acknowledged the people watching them, and saw a curious tall black haired player watching with a sheepish smile give a slight nod. Clearly that player was Kenma’s friend, also the one who yelled. From the other side there was another yell. Takao flinched shaking his head self deprecatingly Just who did I piss off to be targeted for pain today? Taking a breath the hawk adjusted himself his shifting caused Kenma to step back instinctively to not interfere, the hawk caught the ball flying toward the spectators clustered here. The normal hollow sound seemed a bit louder as it impacted at such high speed, having been swatted away during the scrimmage. The hawk sighed and threw it back to the guy chasing it shaking his hands afterwards for a moment to get rid of the tingling. The hawk sighed and shook his head muttering to the setter behind him “Maybe it would have been better if we didn’t come… It seems everything is targeting us at this point huh?”
Even Kenma couldn’t help but shrug wanting nothing more than to turn invisible… This might have been a mistake, he could even see Kuro smirking from the court. Takao might not mind attention, but even he couldn’t help run his hand through his hair and quietly laugh to himself I wish Shin-chan were here, at least carrying that damn globe he’d steal the attention away, this is so awkward… Clearly not caring the two were loathing the limelight there were managers with clipboards from both sides who scurried over chirping their recruitment pitches. The hawk and the cat sighed in unison, Takao chuckled and was trying to charm the two into calming down, which seemed to take a while. While Kenma apathetically nodded just signing the form to make her go away, making it clear he didn’t want to say much. The girl pouted and joined the group bugging Takao. Kenma retreated to the wall to avoid getting dragged in again.
What seemed like ages later a slightly tired but still smiling hawk escaped and joined the blonde who was fiddling with his phone. Takao handed him a scrap of paper and sighed “The guy I came with messaged me while I was dealing with that, he wants me to deliver him home so I gotta go… Sorry about that Ken-chan~ That’s my contact info and game tag, add me if you need any help clearing anything.” He grinned and headed out. Disappearing like a storm that he came in as.
Kenma smiled a bit watching the other leave he saved the contact info adding it to the maybe ten contacts he had saved and recorded the gamer tag to add him later when he got home. He wouldn’t mind meeting that bubbly hawk again.

Momoi/Haizaki: Things are never allowed to just be easy. (from anon)
Teikou had a ton of managers, after all who wouldn’t want to be around the glorious members of the team, especially the eye candy on the first string. Sometimes though the girls would skip, or go scouting. The only one who never skipped was Momoi, she had to look after Aomine and help out after all. Though there were days when she should slack off, muttering to herself she picked up the basket of clean towels walking down the hall he face flushed “Things can’t ever be easy… Where is everyone…?”
The pinkette was unsteady on her feet and seemed ready to keel over, she thought she had when she realized the ground under her was gone and there was no impact, nor was there pressure in her hands anymore. She felt some warmth over her waist. Haizaki had picked her up like a sack of flower, holding the basket under his other arm he walked into the gym putting down the basket. Momoi could faintly hear a muffled “Oi Niji I’m taking the manager to the nurse” There were some arguments and a concerned sounding voice calling ‘Satsuki’ but they were already fading. She felt your body move a bit as he kicked off his shoes in the main hall, he changed how he was carrying Momoi, from flour to princess. Inside it was less embarrassing and she wouldn’t get hurt if she fought back.
Slowly her eyes fluttered open curious what was going on she asked confused “Haizaki-san?” The silver haired boy chuckled “You awake? I’m bringing you to the nurse, jeez really how much of an airhead are you? Trying to work with a fever like this? Your whole body is crazy hot.” He kicked the door to the nurse’s open with his socked foot and ignoring the nurse’s scolding put the pinkette down arguing that she had a fever and it shouldn’t matter how a damn door was opened. He walked out leaving a confused nurse and pinkette saying “I’ll be back, forgot something.”
Neither of them actually thought he’d come back, but the nurse got called over to a different wing so she told Momoi to just rest. Haizaki did however come back, asking where the hag went, as he gave the manager a sports drink. He had his basketball shoes tied over his shoulder, despite everything he didnt just want to leave them sitting in the front after all no one was really trustworthy in a school like this, so competitive. Momoi’s fingers curled around the drink sitting up to sip at it with a cool compress on her forehead, the nurse had removed her hoodie and she was in just the button up shirt. Sweating a fair bit.
Haizaki sighed and patted the top of her head “Tsk… Don’t do such stupid things. How can you help anyone like this? It might be annoying and difficult but it won’t be easy if a manager overworks herself.” Momoi giggled into the bottle, smiling a bit taking a few more sips before laying down again cuddling the cold drink. She mumbled her thanks, not sure if he heard her. Of course he did, but he didn’t say anything back. He ended up passing out in the chair leaning back with his arms crossed.
The nurse was surprised but didn’t wake him, she let the two sleep until the school was getting ready to close. Both of them were kind of groggy as they headed back to the gym, Haizaki was supporting Momoi who was at least steady on her feet now. He patted her head as she walked over to Aomine who’d be bringing her home, and started walking away. Plugging his ear with his pinkie while he got chewed out by Nijimura the entire walk.
After that Momoi made it a habit to drag Haizaki to practice even if it was a hassle, she looked after both blue and silver. And sometimes when they were alone they’d spend time bonding, after all it wasn’t like they could complain to just anyone about the headaches from Nijimura, Akashi or Aomine. It wasn’t easy to keep balanced, but at least they could keep secrets with each other, and he’d skip sometimes to force her to take a break when she wasn’t feeling well. And she’d drag him off when he was about to snap, it was a delicate game, but neither of them were against it.
Rough kisses, gentle touches, secret stories, bitter laughs, broken tears. Things they didn’t show anyone else laid between the silver and pink outliers.

Omega! Hanamiya X Alpha! Imayoshi AU?? :) Do anything you want with it! Thank you, love! I love your blog!
//Oof I wasn’t expecting this one~ Hope you like it Anon! This was rather fun~//
In this world there were plenty of people who didn’t necessarily show which side of the coin they were on; Alphas and Omegas were the only ones who were cared about. Sometimes if someone didn’t show signs before puberty they were called a Beta just to be able to classify them as an unknown… It was like a slap to the face to be called a beta, and unfortunately among youths it was pretty common to grow up not knowing which side of the fence they fell on. So everyone in school would try Alpha things and Omega things and learn both unless they knew for sure.
Hanamiya Makato was already a second year in middle school, he was bright and alluring. Alphas and Omegas wanted to be around him, and even now he was stuck as a Beta, he didn’t really care about those around him much. At home since he wasn’t ‘awakened’ yet his life wasn’t rainbows and sunshine and that warped his personality. He challenged whatever he felt like and he would aim to be at the top of what he did; grades, cards, athletics. Whatever came his way, he wasn’t particularly skilled at home ec topics, so people started assuming he was an Alpha. Most students and teachers anyway.
Always the exception Imayoshi Shoichi, the third year took an interest in the flower of their school and decided to challenge him. A fox facing a flower, Imayoshi was one of the top in their school, he could easily challenge Hanamiya without losing too often. His goal for the last year at the school was to make the flower bloom, he didn’t for one second think that Makato was an Alpha, it was just something about him. At first Hanamiya resisted Imayoshi, but after losing a handful of times he agreed to join the basketball team he ran. It seemed normal that since he joined so late he would be pushed harder, no one found it strange that the two ravenettes stayed after practice, until the school was closing.
One night after a week or so Makato was finally showing fatigue from aiming to catch up physically, there seemed to be a barrier, as he threw a shot a bit more femininely than he intended he found it easier. Instead of brawn it was grace, Imayoshi of course didn’t miss this and chuckled, and decided that night he’d make his move. After they changed up and locked up the fox turned Hanamiya’s face to him, a sly smirk on his lips as he gently stroked the other’s chin, letting his thumb caress his cheek “Ara, ara. Mako-chan your face is rather flushed, I wonder why that is? Are ya feeling well?”  The captain wasn’t restraining his charms like he normally would, after all he was curious if he was right to think that his cute little kohai was an Omega, he wouldn’t mind pursuing him, unlike the other boring omegas who fawned over him, Makato wasn’t the type, he was far to proud and tsundere. It’d be fun to break him in.
Hanamiya shivered feeling cold fingers brush against his face, he was feeling rather feverish and the cool feeling felt nice. Not that he’d say that out loud, he swatted the other’s hand away frowning “Tsk. Don’t touch me… I’m fine idiot…” He grit his teeth, truly he wasn’t fine and they both knew it. Makato was starting to produce pheromones that were unique to an Omega, and being so close to an Alpha who seemed unable to control his charm was causing his heart to race, he bit the inside of his cheek hard enough to draw blood. Hissing under his breath he glared at Imayoshi and commented “You need to hurry up and graduate already, so I won’t see you again.”
Chuckling Imayoshi pushed him against the gym wall and whispered against his ear “If ya can beat me at any game twice in a row before I leave I’ll accept that, other wise Mako-chan, come to the same high school as me. I’ll make ya mine at that time.” As he pulled back Imayoshi’s lips crashed against the other’s lips, there was a power there that made the sensation almost painful. He was forceful and didn’t hold back, Imayoshi slipped his tongue in the other’s slightly parted lips and kissed him hard, with a very clear purpose. Despite being shocked Hanamiya wasn’t entirely in control at the moment, he couldn’t bring himself to fight back, the kiss was dizzying. The sensation of their tongues intertwining, the fox’s tongue brushing against the cut his teeth made on his cheek made him inhale sharply it was intoxicating. Before he could gain enough strength to push him away the fox pulled away, darting out of range. Tossing the key in the air he made it clear he was off to return the key, Hanamiya watched him with a glare, his face was burning as he touched his lips that were now swollen and sore. Shakily he headed home, not remembering how he got home that night. He skipped school for a couple of days to get the medicine to control his pheromones and learn how to do so.
His family wasn’t overly thrilled having an Omega child, and thus Makato was tired and cranky when he returned. A bruise on his cheek lingered and he was harassed almost all day by morons threatening to beat the perp up. Thinking he’d be free at practice he left as soon as he could, sighing to find out it wasn’t going to be any better. There was a long practice the night Makato returned, in preparation for a competition, if they lost the seniors would graduate. The team was curious to see that their genius rookie and the captain seemed to be coordinating better than ever, but had an aura of don’t mess with me the entire time. None of the team realized that Makato was no longer a Beta, or that he’d laid the stakes against the school’s strongest Alpha. The tension between the two was so thick it was suffocating. Challenge after challenge, bet after bet, they were going back and forth win for loss. The only thing they didn’t play games with was the competition, which they ended up losing due to careless plays.
After his awakening his moodiness reached it’s peak and Hanamiya was considered a sadist second only to the gentleman sadist captain he was so close to. His gracefulness and grades in certain home ec skills also improved, probably considering his free time on the days of his absence. Despite their games Hanamiya wasn’t able to win twice against Imayoshi, and the fox graduated before the score was settled. So despite his hesitation he turned down scouts the following year, keeping true to his word. After all it wasn’t like he had actually started to miss the fox in that one year. He didn’t whip the team into shape and beat down the competition to attempt to surpass that damn fox. No way. He was agitated when another school came to scout him and only reluctantly accepted it when Imayoshi himself tagged along to pick him up. “Ready to keep your promise Mako-chan?”
The coach didn’t linger letting Imayoshi give Hanamiya a tour of their facilities, which happened until they ended up touring the locker rooms, there was an abandoned one in the back that was used to store towels and such. Hanamiya rolled his eyes and reached for the door planning to go back out “You really are thorough. Was there any point in bringing me here?” Chuckling Imayoshi leaned against the door pinning him to the wall once again, leaving him space to turn and face him, Hanamiya’s fluffy eyebrows pulled together annoyed “What are you–” Before he could finish a familiar feeling overcame him. Their lips crashed together, and the weakness he felt that day along with the heat he was missing pulsed. Hanamiya half groaned into the forceful kiss, the back of his head pressing into the door wanting to pull back, but not being able to. The doorknob in his back wasn’t comfortable, but he didn’t notice after a moment. His body moved on it’s own arms wrapping around the other’s back twining in his hair enjoying the kiss for a moment before yanking Imayoshi’s hair and glaring. The fox smirked before pulling away he bit the flower’s lips enough to drawn blood and pulled away licking his lips.
Drawling he spoke “Ya know Mako-chan, I will make ya mine~ I just wanted ta remind ya, just who it is will own your everything.” Neither of them moved, their bodies pressed together in that back room for a while, until they heard the ‘campus is closing’ announcement.

Could you do a furu/taka?
“People who enjoy life are winners~ Even if you just go with the flow~”
Takao hummed and skipped along the roadside, he didn’t mind they were a perfect mismatch when they were together; he was excited to see his boyfriend. The basket of pears and flower seeds hang in his hand as he impatiently came to a stop waiting for the light to change. The hawk couldn’t always see Furuhashi because Hanamiya was surprisingly strict over Kirisaki’s practices, they might not be as murderous as Shuutoku’s but they were very strenuous. Today was special so Takao was going to ambush the other, since the hawk was off practice.
He leaned against the gate of Kirisaki Daiichi and waited, there were plenty of whispers since there was a first year, in a bright orange jacket just waiting, but no one tried to chase him away, though when the basketball crew was coming out Hanamiya got a slightly unhappy face. He was about to say something when he noticed Furu waved at the freshman and made to approach him. It might not be discernible to the students that didn’t play regularly, but he seemed a bit more happy. Granted that didn’t show on his face, but the exhaustion from practice that had just had him hunched over was no where to be seen. The other core four sort of stopped walking and were just staring confused.
Takao beamed ignoring the rest of the team as he happily handed the other the basket, and began chatting. Then he seemed to notice the team and asked Furu something that they couldn’t hear, and he nodded and waved before leading the hawk away. After they turned the corner from the school Takao wrapped his arms around one of Furu’s and cuddled up to him humming happily “I’m glad you’re letting me come over today Koji~” Furu sighed softly, he might never get used to that pet name, but he leaned his head slightly so it rested against the top of Takao’s head as they walked toward his house. He muttered “Hn… I don’t mind you came all the way here after all… I’m pretty sure my team is following us though.”
Takao blinked and laughed “You’re not wrong~ I think my showing up confused them a bit; but you being happy threw them off even more.” The small forward quirked an eyebrow, was it that noticeable? His boyfriend hummed affirming the question he hadn’t asked “It’s really adorable, I’m kinda jealous you spend enough time together that they noticed though… I guess it goes with the territory of playing a sport though… I mean I noticed when things are wrong with Shin-chan or my seniors too~” Furu frowned a bit, he could understand the jealousy his boyfriend felt, but did he really need to share it?
The point guard snuggled up to him again as they walked and crossed to his house. Once they were inside they peeked out at Kazunari’s insistence to see what the rest of Kirisaki was going to do. They appeared to be having an argument of some sort across the street, from what they could make out it sounded like they were confused over Takao’s appearance and were debating on asking Furu or going home. The hawk couldn’t help it he laughed and smiled before kissing the other, drawing attention as the door closed again. The last thing his hawk eye saw was bubblegum senpai’s face get covered with a bubble as he was startled.
Tomorrow Furuhashi was going to have explaining to do, but tonight he had to punish his little mischievous hawk, he wondered how well the freshman could keep his voice down so his little sister didn’t interrupt them.

Burlesque No Basket
Burlesque Show AU //I got the inspiration for this at random-- sue me -w-;; //
//Fanfiction Mirror Here//
There was a new dance lounge that opened up on Hollywood Ave, and the owner was a foreigner with a taste for beautiful men, it was rare to have a male burlesque. Though that was part of the appeal probably, all of the talent had to pass a few rounds of interviews from personality to dance and service. There were two 'voices' among the crew who could sing instead of lip sync to the songs. They were the top stars in the business, Kise and Himuro. There were plenty of talents hidden in the back, like one of the stagehands, Ryou, who knew all the dances and where to stand behind the set to hear if anything went wrong, or the audio wizard who was generally flawless. Even the band who played during the dance breaks were all gorgeous and unbelievable.
Takao was a new hire who was buried in the kick line, see when they auditioned they didn't get the chance to prove they could sing or not, so it didn't matter. Though Takao had proven himself to Alex by having amazing perception, that itself had gotten him off training and onto the stage must faster than the others he was hired with. He was able to see the stage from above, and actually most of the club as well so he could easily re-balance things if someone overstepped or point out something like a lighting wire that got pulled. Granted that made him a target for jealousy, but he was used to that by now with his personality people were drawn to him, but never stayed close. He'd been working the stage for a couple weeks now and knew that Alex punished people appropriately if they overstepped their bounds, after all she ran a club not a circus, that Ryou was the most reliable and yet timid when not working or if he had to relay a message, and the audio tech Imayoshi was reliable when working but sly and almost cruel when the night was done. Kise was absolutely a doll, everyone loved him, but he was pretty sure that the same loneliness that he himself faced was something Kise was no stranger to; and Himuro was mysterious and seductive both on and off the stage, he wanted people close to him but held them at arms length. There was also a rule of thumb at the club that the dancers could rotate if needed, but the singers could never sing back to back songs; for two reasons, the biggest being that it was a dance club not a singing club, and the second Alex didn't want to hurt the boys throats with the air being so full of the perfumes, glitters, smokes or whatnot.
That said colds do happen, and one night had to lip sync, they still had mic packs clipped to them in case something went wrong, but mostly because they had been put on before everyone found out that Kise wasn't live singing that night. It was Kise and four background dancers, Takao being in the lead spot for the backup, he had to give signals to the other three through the show to keep in rhythm with Kise. For whatever cursed reason that night while they were in the middle of 'S.L.U.T' the audio cut out. Takao cringed he saw what happened when he scanned. Biting his lip he saw Kise ready to start singing, he signed to the boys not to stop moving and swallowed his hesitation. Fanning out toward the back he did a drastic flip which caught the attention of the audience earning a cheer. A harsh whisper cut through the black screen separating the stage from where Ryou would be "Kill me later Ryou~ There’s a wire in the back by table eighteen that got pulled. Tell Alex, and also apologize telling her I accept my punishment later. The show must go on without hurting Kicchan~" Backstage Ryou who was holding a metal clipboard dropped it and it bounced, he ran to Alex apologizing relaying the message.
Alex was about to drop the curtain when she heard a mic pack flip on, followed by another. Kise had forced himself and his voice wasn't that bad, just a bit huskier than normal. 'I--- Love my ass I wanna shake it~ You can thank my momma cuz she made it. Don't you waste your breath tryin' ta change it.' Finally Takao had gotten back to his spot after cuing Hayama and the band to pick up the sound by having the outside man on the otherside move forward with him to cover the movement. So Kise was center stage, Takao to his right barely behind him, Mayuzumi to the far left wanted to kill Takao for this he didn't mind  being in the back but being dragged forward could be embarrassing though he kept smiling like he had to. The two in the back almost tripped when Takao sync'd with Kise, to spare his voice. Kise's eyes widened and he smiled nodding 'Just mind your own and we'll keep owning it.' The subtle change was the acknowledgement that things were going well. Imayoshi was trying to find the wire that got pulled almost had a heart attack when the band started playing he peered over and saw Kise and Takao and waved to lighting telling them to put lights on them while he dealt with the mess of sound or lack of it.
Kise made a large move with his next  right movement and dragged Takao forward.  Takao tinged slight red, and was thankful for Mibuchi's rule of always wear a bit of blush coming in handy. This whole number was completely different from the norm. Mayuzumi retreated to the back and the trio spread out covering the back. Two main acts and the back up, it was easy for them to change, they couldn't help but wonder if Takao could handle being dragged up front. Takao almost whimpered, but he knew the choreography for both the background and the leads for every number that was performed so far at the club, he didn't want to be accused of being favorited so he studied until his feet bled in the beginning. Kise was obviously aware of that considering he didn't bat an eye when Takao easily managed to sync his movements. Kise was a known copycat and could easily mimic a style once he saw it, so he mimicked the little subtle extras that Takao didn't realize he'd added during his practice easily making the dance more fun. And since there were the two of them they got playful with it, they alternated the main pieces and Kise mostly took the chorus instead of the full thing to save his throat 'We've gotta learn to stick together-- Love your color, gender or whatever' The audience cheered and laughed when Takao had jokingly gestured to Kise's blonde hair and Kise retaliated by making a gesture at the brunette for gender. Ryou offstage looked like he might faint from worry, but Alex who would normally be seething by now actually was smiling into the hand covering her lips backstage. She looked like she had found another diamond in the rough.
'Cause your happiness don't need a censor. Just mind your own, and we'll keep owning it' The two of them together was actually risking bringing down the house, there were so many fans of Kise personally from his stint as a teen model that him being paired up with someone just as playful had them in awe. The two of them were perfectly in sync adding little flamboyant touches to the dance, facing each other and glancing at the audience like they got caught doing something risque. Like with their hands on each other's hips or leaning in a bit close, just not close enough for the mics to feedback. 'I'ma do just what I like on the regular, and it's really not my fault if you're scared of a Sweet. Little. Unforgettable Thing.'  The background trio seemed to remember they had mics because they clicked them on in time to fill the background 'Unforgettable' Kise and Takao were practically flirting at this point, which was almost amusing to any of their coworkers considering they'd never said more than two words to each other the two weeks the hawk had worked their. A caress of the cheek on sweet by Takao, trailing a finger up the torso on little by Kise, leaning in like a fake kiss on unforgettable and then resuming the set of thing. 'Sweet. Little. Unforgettable. Thing.' 'So incredible' Ryou and Imayoshi were almost certain the background dancers were dying given the changes to the dance, but nothing up front threw them off at least.
Imayoshi had fixed the wiring issue and was taping down the plug on the floor by the table to a waiter couldn't pull it out again, he was clearly annoyed with the new waiter who had tripped and not realized she pulled the plug. He'd give an earful to her later, thankfully Kise and that new dancer had managed something, after all Imayoshi could hear that Kise didn't feel well, and was letting the newbie do the heavy lifting, but clearly that wasn't the original plan. Takao grinned seductively in sync with Kise as they turned from each other to the audience 'Know that I'm not sorry. I'm just loving my body. I don't care if you're scared of a Sweet. Little. Unforgettable. Thing.' Kise's voice was giving out so Takao who noticed gave a wink to the fangirls watching closely and pressed a finger to Kise's lips as part of the next verse, both to spare him and bring the girls satisfaction knowing that their eye-candy was obedient or at least make it seem that way. 'Shame, shame, shame. Shame, shame, shame.' There were quite a few background shames as well for this section, which made it all the more stunning for the moment to hush the blonde at least to the fangirls who were starting to develop ideas about the two, and Himuro who was watching from the bar, who was trying his damnedest not to laugh. Takao had started directed the lyrics to both Kise and the audience to keep their illusions alive, since that's what this club is for, an amazing view and a trip down fantasy lane 'Shame on me baby, I ain't gonna change. Shame, shame, shame on me. Shame on me, baby' Finally the song was wrapping up and the backup crew was more involved 'I ain't gonna change. No, no, no. Sweet. Little. Unforgettable. Thing. Unforgettable. Sweet. Little. Unforgettable. Thing. So Incredible.'  Kise really hates losing out when it comes down to popularity and put a hand on Takao's shoulder joining back in with the vocals for the end 'Know that I'm not sorry, I'm just lovin' my body. I don't care if you're scared of a Sweet. Little. Unforgettable. Thing.' 'Shame, shame, shame on me. Shame, shame shame.' Finally the music was dying out and they were getting ready to drop the curtain when Kise seemed to stage kiss Takao, killing his mic pack just before feedback.
The curtain fell, Takao was stunned for more than one reason. That wasn't just a stage kiss, not that anyone who wasn't close could tell probably. The band, the crew and the backup ran over praising Takao and Kise for their quick thinking. The blonde refused to take credit though saying that Takao had coordinated it and actually saved him, Ryou ran over to Kise with a warm drink with honey in it to soothe his throat, Mayuzumi got Takao in a headlock as one of the backups switched off the mic pack for safety sake. And then everyone froze and turned to Alex, with Takao still in a headlock he smiled sheepishly "I'm sorry Alex... I didn't want Kic-- Kise to end up hurting his throat or losing his voice from the cold... I didn't really know what else to do, and fixing the wiring wasn't going to be quick..." Kise was curious as to what he was going to be called and murmured to Ryou softly so no one else would hear the question "Kic?" Ryou smiled and nodded keeping the same quietness he answered "Oh Takao-kun has nicknames for people he's close to or respects. Yours is Kicchan apparently... I'm sorry" Kise smiled and patted the techie's head, that was interesting. So was he liked or respected, now he had to find out.
As if to reinforce the issue with sound Imayoshi was coming back half carrying one of the waitresses by the back of her uniform "He isn't wrong, this one managed to trip over the wire so hard it yanked out of both the soundboard and the wall. I didn't know what ta do I almost thought it was going to be damaged."  Momoi was apologizing profusely, she had gotten distracted by the dancers. Takao patted Mayuzumi's arm calling uncle while Alex was looking over at her sound manager and the waitress. She ignored them for the moment turning back to Takao a slight frown as she looked him over and shook her head "You didn't mention you could sing" Takao rubbed the back of his neck, about to say something, but this time it was Himuro coming up  from the bar that commented "I was their for his interview day Alex, you sent someone home for mentioning that they could sing... They had an awful voice, but you probably startled the whole batch of newbies that day." Alex glanced at her apprentice and then raised an eye at the rookie who chuckled and nodded "It's true... I couldn't sing for you on the spot that day even if I wanted to, my allergies were killing me and I didn't want to miss my chance working here..." He held his hand at the back of his neck to try to hide his shaking, he really hoped he wasn't losing his job over this.
Their make up artist who was taller than most of the dancers saw Takao's nails looked like they were going to dig into his neck and lightly swatted his hand tossing a towel over his neck without saying more, then giving the back up dancers their towels before wrapping Kise's neck with a warm compress. Takao was still trembling a bit from the adrenaline of everything, after all he wasn't used to being the center of attention anywhere really and currently everything was on the floor. His mind was a mess and he was giddy, he just performed for the first time since high school, with a lead he super respected, who had kissed him, been praised and noticed by the other lead, saved the sound crew, and basically overturned the owners expectations. The hawk was truly soaring to cloud nine, but he was more or less being grounded as he tried to figure out what to do, what was going to happen. Everyone's cheery chattering died down for a bit as they watched Alex, wondering what she would say. She stared at Takao who didn't look away, he held her gaze even though he felt like his knees would give out, she smiled almost a smug smirk and asked "Well, honestly I'm floored. Kazunari do you have any plans Monday?" The hawk blinked and shook his head, Monday was normally a rest or rehersal day, they didn't open normally. Alex chuckled and turned to the band "Work with him Monday, I'll give you some of the songs, we're adding a third lead to the show." Glancing and Himuro and Kise she smiled and raised an eyebrow "Assuming you two don't have any arguments, I'll consider adding in duets or trios as well if you're up for the challenge?" Kise and Himuro had an air of competition as they nodded assent. Unable to hold back anymore Hayama, the band's drummer was so excited he hugged Takao, who was so startled he fell. Which earned concern and laughter as everyone resumed their praises.
Mibuchi was still standing by Kise when he noticed the glint in the blonde's eye, he chuckled "Honestly... I don't know to call you a masochist, or a sadist darling. You're going to make a move on him after today? You could end up breaking him." Kise smiled and after a few sips of his drink shook his head "I refuse to believe he'll break that easily.... What concerns me though... Is how his pheromones have influenced this place." The blonde sipped, and Mibuchi tilted his head then let his eyes roam, Himuro was watching Hayama rub his cheek against Takao's with a slight glint in his eye, Mayuzumi who was know for not getting involved was attempting to help Takao to his feet again despite Hayama, even Ryou who was normally withdrawn or Imayoshi who didn't play nicely with others had come to his defense. Mibuchi's eyebrows raised, just how many people did this rookie actually move? Even he himself wanted to pamper him, but that at least wasn't a rare thing he had an allure to beautiful people. Mibuchi wondered whom here would end up with who now, since there was no policy against dating as long as it didn't affect the show negatively.

Prompt. If you are taking requests, if you please. If not, just ignore this. ^^" Ima/Niji: In which the two meet during middle school and Imayoshi tries to make Nijimura open up to him.
// No worries Nonny~ I am still taking requests! Sorry it took so long to get this done after my hiatus though~ I’ve been working through this one for a couple days because I came up with a few ideas how this could go~  Feel free to request again especially if this doesn’t meet what you expected ;u; //
Thwack. Crash. Crunch.
Well that wasn’t a pleasant sound Imayoshi was glad he sent his team away take the bus home, he’d talked to the coaches and said he wanted to stay behind and coordinate a few practice matches, since they had the team meeting already there was no objections. Despite it being their last year in middle school fighting like this wasn’t where he expected to find the former captain of Teiko. A few minutes passed and the fox was waiting almost dutifully by the entrance at the side of the building. Once it was quiet he pushed himself off the wall and turned  into the alley walking over his normal smirk on his lips “Ara? Ya know most athletes try’n avoid fights like this so they don’t lose their reputation Nijimura.”
The power forward sighed and glanced at who it was, he knew of Imayoshi having played him a few times over the years before the first years took over. Nijimura wiped his hands off and shrugged “I have one kohai who stirs up trouble like crazy, he had to leave the team… So I don’t want to deal with the headache of this trash trying to pick on the team… So I took on garbage duty, pretty sure that our captain knows and just doesn’t care…” He smiled bitterly despite himself, honestly being a pawn was not something he got warm and fuzzy from thinking about.
Chuckling the captain shook his head “I can understand that, ya wanna make sure to keep the team from turnin’ on that kohai. Still don’t get hurt over this.” Pulling out a handkerchief the fox blotted the corner of Nijimura’s mouth dabbing away the blood there. The former captain batted his hand away, not trusting the other’s motives, there was no way this fox had waited for him just to talk about this and he walked over to scoop up his gym bag.
Sensing those thoughts the smirk grew a bit and he said “Let’s get something to eat from the food stall and chat a bit. I really hate seeing one of my favorite rivals in such a rut~ And ya can’t for a minute make me believe that it’s all from ya kohai. After all you’re the type ta put on airs for the team, but never let go unless something in the back was breakin’.”
Nijimura frowned a bit, but didn’t reject the offer… Maybe talking to someone would be a good change of pace… Even if that someone was this sly fox. Who knows maybe by the end of the chat they can arrange for Teiko’s second string to play against Imayoshi’s school as their final practice match.

Hanataka
//I really needed to do something cutesy~ Hope you enjoy anon~//
Some days there was a chill in the air that didn’t deal with the weather, Takao was used to dealing with tsunderes and Hanamiya was used to dealing with people who hide their emotions. Still that didn’t mean they were perfect, but that’s what made them perfect for each other.
It was chilly and dark when Takao slipped away from his training camp, and he could see a rather grumpy Hanamiya waiting for him under a street light. Takao was late and Hanamiya was cold “You’re late dumbass” He chided, and Takao couldn’t resist lunging forward and hugging him “You still waited for me Mako-chan!” Sighing Hanamiya shoved him away “I obviously wanted to see you. As if I’d say something like that. You’d probably find me even if I left”
Takao winced when he was shoved back, his whole body was sore from practice today, they went super hard on him and he was pretty sure he had a bruise in the shape of a pineapple on his spine. Still he grinned like a big goofy dog, he was ecstatic to see Hanamiya, knowing that even if he denied it he planned a training camp nearby just to see him. The first year hummed and nodded “You’re right I would have come looking to apologize for disappointing you~”
“Hah?! Who would be disappointed?!” Hanamiya’s face flushed red and he turned away, starting to walk away. Knowing that the hawk would follow him instinctively he didn’t slow his pace to check. Sure enough Takao followed behind chirping joking quips about how he was a tsundere. Having been fed up and gotten close to the inn where he was staying he turned around and kissed the noisy point guard with a crushing heat. At first Takao had been trying to say something, but he stopped when he felt the bruising impact and the grip of Hana’s hand on the front of his jacket. After a moment Hanamiya pulled away and muttered “Just shut up already moron….”
Dragging him inside he forced him to take a hot bath and stretch. Granted the assistance with stretching just added a new layer of pain, although he could be gentle why would Hanamiya baby Takao in a way that could hurt him. His muscles needed to relax properly after being stretched, so he brought him back to his room to relax and secretly to cuddle.
Takao followed Hanamiya inside and they ended up falling asleep together, Takao hugging his boyfriend snugly from behind as the big spoon and the exhausted captain curled up against him. He looked so docile while sleeping his teammates couldn’t disturb them, they didn’t want to die a horrible death by their coach’s hand. So they deflected Shuutoku’s team members who came to collect the hawk. It seemed like the two of them were so tired they wouldn’t wake up before noon.

Could you uhm do a Takao/Izuki thing where they promised to grow old together but Izuki ends up getting alzheimers?
// -Gulp- Alright… It seems like an angsty day today. I’ll do it anon; I haven’t even written anything yet and I’m tearing up//
((Fanfiction net mirror: Here))
Izuki and Takao had been together for years, it was sort of an accident that they ended up together. Back when Takao graduated because his grades weren’t the greatest he pushed himself as hard as he could to get enrolled in a Tokyo Sports College, little did he know that Izuki from Seirin had also enrolled there. He found out about a semester in when he took an extra elective because it opened up. The two of them were in different years, but that didn’t stop some of the classes they took from being available across the levels. They had been stunned by the irony, after all no one expected two of the bird trio to end up in college together, especially because having the two on the same basketball team would open up a surprising amount of options if the first year enrolled. Takao hadn’t done that yet because he needed to stabilize with everything at first. Of course as soon as Izuki realized he had a familiar face he dragged him to the club to apply, and the chaos that lead to them dating ended up ensuing.
After Takao had enrolled with the club there was a mandatory party where the freshmen were integrated and accepted through various games or challenges. Things like the King’s game, truth or dare, or whatever else the seniors could think of. Given Takao’s outgoing personality he had no trouble easing his way in among the team, he was surprised by this method of introduction having come from Shuutoku, but he kept an open mind. Well unfortunately for Takao he got roped into a King’s game with some of the fourth years who were teasing all of the lower levels that Izuki and quite a few of the managers were part of. The senior was slightly drunk since it was an off night no one really complained, the instruction given was ’Number 10 must kiss number 5 on the lips without exception’ When they called number ‘5’ Izuki had raised his hand and ‘10’ was Takao, out of approximately 30 players, there were only about six girls so it was to be expected that it would be two guys, and since there were only a few fourth years in this group they weren’t worried about slighting their friends. Takao sighed softly getting up stretching “Utto~ You’re a rather demanding king-sama senpai.” Some of the third years thought that Takao would run away, but instead he walked over and knelt down in front of Izuki.
The fourth year had been prepared to stop the freshman from running away, the group sort of stared at the two in surprise considering they were both calm. Izuki had a reputation for being good with puns, but bad with girls because of the jokes, he was also known for being good looking as long as he was quiet he was eye-candy. The freshman drew attention because he fit in so easily that no one really knew how to handle him, he was already know for being personable and attractive, he’d apparently broken a few hearts in his few weeks at the school. Seeing the two of them so close caused the group to be unsure how to respond considering the instruction from the king and the calmness they shared. Normally the guys freaked out until they were threatened with a punishment. Takao smiled as he leaned on knee against the floor to properly get close to Izuki, he murmured “I’ll have to ask you to forgive me Izuki-san~” Then without hesitating the hawk leaned in, tilting the older male’s chin with one hand and kissed the eagle who was partially surprised. After a moment and several squeals from the managers Takao pulled back and returned to his spot chuckling at the dumb-struck king.
After the party was over Takao had caught up to Izuki to apologize properly, he laughed it off. It was a couple months later that they started dating, after training together constantly and getting closer the bird pair had become inseparable so it was natural they started dating. Of course they were met with quite a bit of trouble, although it wasn’t uncommon, it was still disturbing to some people, so they kept it quiet on campus pointing out they were just good friends since they knew each other from high school. They moved into an apartment near campus together to enjoy their time together by the end of Takao’s first year and they nested themselves in nicely.
~~Five Years After Takao’s Graduation~~
Since same sex marriage still wasn’t really a thing they held a small ceremony and got the certificate which was offered, they listed each other as family so that if any issue arose they would be able to step in without needing to involve one of their sisters unless it was super needed. They had a small party with their friends who didn’t critique them over their life choices. They both had graduated from college, Izuki had gotten a job with a marketing company, his attention to detail left him as an irreplaceable member of the team. Takao got a job as a photographer, his awareness of his surroundings and attention to the most minuscule details earned him recognition even as a rookie.
Some nights they were exhausted if they had late nights or super early mornings one of them would leave dinner or breakfast with a cute or punny note to encourage the other. They slept in each other’s arms each night even if it was only a couple hours, their relationship was made of cuteness, bleary sleepy kisses and cuddles. Their weekends were devoted to each other, at least one of the two days they would have some form of date and enjoy life.
~~Fifteen Years Later~~ //So they’re about 42 and 43 here respectively//
Around Shun’s birthday they had a small party like always and celebrated his birthday, 43 it was hardly old in the slightest. They could still play basketball, maybe not super high intensity like they used to, but hey they never were monsters like the rainbow squad. Though Takao felt his heart stop when they went to the doctor for their annual physicals. They would get their results together since they were for better or for worse together until the end. Thankfully Takao was a natural at hiding his emotions, although his heart was in his stomach his face didn’t show it. After all it had to be a million times harder for Izuki hearing that they wanted to run a few more tests, they suspected he was in the third stage of Alzheimer’s. The third stage was really the first point when it starts to become noticeable, and there’s a chance if it’s caught they can slow the progress with medication.
Takao held Izuki’s hand in his and rubbed his finger over the other’s knuckles as they went to sit in the waiting room of the neurology department. The hawk smiled and kissed the back of Izuki’s hand and squeezed it lightly. “Birds of a feather, we’ll always be together.” Izuki was rather pale but smiled and nodded “Always, we can’t fly the coop.” It was clear this was unnerving to him, but he was glad to have his lover at his side. Still 43… It was really young for something like this. Swallowing Izuki squeezed Takao’s hand more tightly, he didn’t realize his grip was hurting the other and Takao didn’t say anything, he just continued to soothingly rub his thumb over the top of Izuki’s knuckles.
After a half hour of waiting the two of them went in for Izuki’s tests, they did brain scans, memory testing, cognitive tests. Takao’s breath caught in his throat as he saw what the doctor’s could see, maybe it was because they were always together but he hadn’t realized the subtle differences until he was forced to keep an eye out for it. Slowly memories surfaced in Takao’s mind, at the business parties Izuki couldn’t remember the newbie names until someone jogged his memory. There were times that he forgot where he put things, so they had gotten a hall tree to keep their keys, scarves, wallets and such unlike before when they kept them at their bedside. Izuki who had always been a master with words had struggled from time to time in finding the correct word and got frustrated before picking a different word, his puns had become simpler and he read over his old ones more often than he made a newer one. Quietly Takao took a deep breath grounding himself again, right here was not the place for him to break down. He needed to keep his composure for his lover, even if he was kicking himself for missing the signs… With this disease every minute was vital or so he heard… Takao would have to do research on this soon, so he could be prepared. Izuki sat on the metal table staring at the images of his brain scan. The hawk wasn’t sure if Izuki could actually hear what the doctor was saying, the shock was clear on his face, so Takao asked for a print out of the results for them to review later as well.
After the doctor left to get the printout Takao helped Izuki back into his shirt and jacket before hugging him, stroking his hair and letting him calm down. He could feel Shun’s nails digging into the back of his neck, but he didn’t complain at all. These little injuries were nothing in comparison to the shock this was.
That year they didn’t celebrate Takao’s birthday, they just ate some cake to keep the routine.
~~The flow of time is never kind; Ten years passed in the blink of an eye~~
Takao had taken over all the finances by this point, unfortunately the trial prescriptions weren’t helping anything, and some of the newer drugs were too risky so the birds refused. They had moved from their little apartment to the house where Takao’s parents used to live, and Takao’s younger sister took the apartment since it was more convenient for her, since they moved there they took in Izuki’s sister’s dog. It was a puppy from Izuki’s old dog. Takao also made a studio for his photography shoots in one of the rooms at his house so he could work from home when it came down to it, and he got that signed off by the agencies he did shoots for. Izuki had finally gotten laid off this year because his memory was starting to affect his work. Considering their savings it wasn’t a blow financially, but the excess free time made things complicated. Idle minds dissolve faster than active ones, so Takao bought a lot of games, puzzles and similar hobby things. They spend more time together being close and playing one-on-one in the backyard.
The fact that Izuki’s number one subject was now becoming impossible for him to keep up with, and he was relying on his 108 joke books again was concerning. Takao was taking tons of photos of them now, he’d started scrap booking lately. After all, just because Izuki won’t remember doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. They had tons of memories from their travels, their life together all the way back from high school. Takao had hunted down the old magazines, newspaper articles from their teams in high school. He had gotten photos from Izuki’s siblings and his own, they had a table in the backroom that was littered with photos and photo books it was actually quite amazing to look at.
Takao had finally started seeing a therapist when Izuki had forgotten their anniversary, he knew he needed an outlet and that he couldn’t break down in front of the man he loved the most in the world. Alzheimer’s is an evil disease, it causes pain for those surrounded by it, but the ones suffering often get abused by their loved ones trying to force memories onto them. The scrap booking idea was something that his therapist had suggested, since they can work on it together, and even if Izuki doesn’t realize he was in the photo, Takao can still tell the stories about where they were taken. The hawk’s memory was improving from how much he had to deal with, he kept a pda now which he never did before. He needed to have something to ping him about the bills, the doctors, the photoshoots, heck he was close to hiring a personal assistant just to be able to manage everything. He wouldn’t give in though, he didn’t want an extra face. After all his eagle wouldn’t remember who that person was and he didn’t want to stress Izuki out at all. Stage Four was hell, but it was only a kiddie ride so far.
On Izuki’s birthday this year Takao threw a big party, he invited Seirin’s old team, which was fun to get in contact with at first. He had to use his connection to Kise to get Momoi to call Kuroko and help coordinate the mess of a party. Thankfully not that many of them had gone abroad, so getting them all together was relatively easy, Izuki’s sisters came as well and it was a big party. Takao was surprised when the rainbow crew dropped by at the request of the little shadow, he was still as invisible as he was in the past, which made the party lively since almost no one was used to the disappearing act anymore a lot of people got startled often. Their dog had to stay in the yard because she didn’t do well with new people, the only person it took to quickly was Takao.
Izuki had a good time reminiscing with Hyuuga, Riko and Kiyoshi especially. Midorima, Momoi and Kise each were worrying over Takao in their own way practically spoiling him while Izuki was being passed around. Akashi finally asked Takao “It must be difficult on you Takao, are you going to keep going like this?” Takao glanced at the happy back of the eagle across the room and nodded “Of course… I gave my life to him over thirty years ago… It’s my turn to take on the headaches, and the challenges…. It won’t get any easier, but I won’t give up Sei-chan” Even at 52 Takao grinned and had the face of mischief, though it had mellowed from the obvious stress line appearing on his face. He was starting to resemble Shuutoku’s former coach. Momoi swiped Takao’s phone and started programming their numbers into the phone “Kazu-kun you can rely on your friends a bit more you know. Midorin was practically glued to the library to research what Izuki-san is going through once I told him, so he can support you. The world might be harsh, but you’re not all by yourself you know.” Midorima was trying to argue the point, but was startled when Takao sidestepped behind him using his height to hide the fact he had started to tear up from that comment. He couldn’t vocalize a response so he nodded. Kuroko came over with a box of tissues and smiled a bit “Takao-kun, thank you for always being with Izuki-san. But don’t forget to care for yourself as well.”
Izuki’s sisters Aya (The older one) and Mai (the younger one) took that moment to bring out a giant cake, to celebrate the two birthdays. Izuki grinned at his sisters and shook his head “The cake is so happy about this, it’s in tiers.” As the normal straight man Hyuuga commented “Shut up Izuki” Though it lacked the normal bite, quite a few people actually chuckled at that joke, but like Takao there were a few who were actually fighting back tears, like Riko who slipped away to the bathroom or Mai who had her eyes closed at the moment holding a pile of plates. For a few minutes Izuki hadn’t been able to identify her, her husband had managed to calm her down, but he ended up leaving because his brother-in-law had no real idea who he was. That might be normal since they didn’t really spend any time together, but that just made things harder for Mai, so he went to stay at a nearby restaurant with some of the other significant others who didn’t want to be in the way.
Izuki and Takao had their hands intertwined as they blew out the candles that day. It was Takao’s little sister who was taking the photos of the party since Kazu-nii was part of the festivities. The smile that her brother saw in the photos later was the brightest he had seen in years, so he agreed to keep in contact more with everyone who attended the party.
About a week after the party Takao had to explain why there were traces of confetti around the house. Apparently he had missed them when cleaning up.
~~Seven Years Later~~
Seven was a lucky number normally, but it wasn’t forgiving this year. Shun was turning the big 60, but he had also been flirting the line of stage five and six. Takao’s hair was now a constant patient for Hyuuga’s hairdresser, he hated the grays that were growing in frequently, his level of stress had nearly tripled. Despite the fact that every year Takao had a party and some of their friends and family showed up, things were getting complicated. After all they had their families, careers and what not to handle. So it was lucky if one or two old faces showed up, there was also the passing of some of their friends…. Which Izuki couldn’t remember, sometimes he’d ask about why so-and-so wasn’t there and they’d skirt around the topic. After all, it’s best not to try to force him to remember things or push things.
Izuki’s nieces and nephews were confused when their uncle started treating them like strangers, and one of the little girls actually started crying because he forgot who she was. He’d given her candy to cheer her up, and her mother had to explain to a ten year old what her uncle was going through. Takao had been sleeping less because Izuki had started having night terrors, and wandering around at night. Each time it happened, Takao would help calm his eagle down and cuddle him or stroke his hair until he was calm.
One morning Takao felt like he couldn’t breathe, he hadn’t noticed Izuki had left. He snuck out of the house, it was the middle of winter and it didn’t look like he took a jacket. Kazunari didn’t even close the front door as he ran out of the house, calling friends that lived in the area to ask them to keep an eye out or house sit. Considering the dog was gone it was safe to assume she had followed Izuki which was slightly reassuring. The hawk might be just under sixty but he was still able to run when push came to shove, and although he would certainly feel it later he was full on running as he searched. There were about ten people out hunting for the eagle who flew off, and it was starting to snow at a pretty good clip. Neither of the bird pair were particularly warmblooded on a good day, and neither of them were dressed for the weather. Takao refused to stop moving, he checked dozens of places Izuki liked going to both now and in the past. Just as he was about to have an anxiety attack he got a phone call from Midorima, he found Izuki by chance. The hawk’s knees buckled and he collapsed on the spot when he heard that. Takao stayed in that spot sending messages and calling the search crew from that spot, he was shaking too badly to head home just yet. Midorima was bringing Izuki and the dog home by taxi. Kise who had a photoshoot with Takao today ran over startled seeing the shaking Takao sitting in the middle of the sidewalk, he helped him up and walked with him to a coffee shop to warm up a bit before they went back to meet with Midorima, Izuki and the lighting crew. The shoot was delayed for about ten minutes while Takao hugged Izuki and made sure he was okay. Apparently he remembered the old days of Seirin training and went out running along the course, since the hawk was sleeping so well he didn’t want to wake him. He was confused as to why Takao was hugging him so tightly, and the hawk played it off that he was cold.
Kise couldn’t help but pity Takao, who was doing the shoot despite the fact he had silent tears on his cheeks. Somehow even as a 'silver fox’ Kise was still radiant and didn’t have any lack of modelling work, his company almost solely relied on Takao at this point since they worked so well together. During the photo shoot Izuki was flipping through the photo books with Midorima, and the tsundere squeezed his lucky item a cat-shaped stress ball tightly as he realized the eagle couldn’t remember a few of his good friends. Mitobe, Koganei even Kiyoshi wasn’t safe… Midorima couldn’t help but feel ice in his veins, he wondered how Takao was managing this. Then again the fact that he had lost a bit of weight answered that he wasn’t coping well, Izuki still looked healthy and happy. However one question that Izuki asked almost made Midorima drop his lucky item ’I wonder why Takao is so nice to me… He always stays by my side, I’m not used to so much kindness… It feels really nice…. Hey Midorima, could you tell me why? Did I forget something again…? Hyuuga says I’m forgetting a lot…’ The rule of thumb is don’t force someone to remember something, and even if he answered there was a chance of denial, the tsundere was not a very skilled liar though so he just smiled “You’re very important to Takao, he’ll never let anything happen to you. That’s all, you’ve been living together for ages.” Izuki hummed he accepted that, it sounded like they were roommates or something. Takao and Kise had finished their shoot and had overheard that. Kise dragged the hawk back to the studio to help him calm down before facing his lover again. Through his tears the hawk smiled deprecatingly to himself “I have to be stronger than this… I already knew this could happen… It doesn’t matter if he forgets, I won’t forget him…. I know that… I do, but it still hurts…. Kicchan… what should I do?” The tears wouldn’t stop and Kise had to hug the trembling little hawk, there weren’t enough words to describe the conflict in that house. Even the lighting crew and the stylists who were cleaning up seemed to pity Takao who seemed to be having his heart torn apart today.
The very next day Takao barely caught Izuki again, he just hugged him from behind to catch him before he wandered out in the snow alone. The hawk smiled and shook his head “If you’re going out you need to bundle up Shun~ Here” He helped his lover into his coat, scarf and hat before bundling up himself and walking with him. While they walked Izuki asked the same question he had asked Midorima the day before, even though he was prepared it still stung. Takao smiled and poked Izuki’s cheek with his free hand, they still naturally had their hands linked together after all “Obviously you’re suuuuuper close to me, I won’t let you out of my sight~ You’ve always been super nice to me too you know~ I’ll always be by your side, no matter what, I won’t be sidelined” Izuki chuckled and smiled warmly, he didn’t really understand why those few words made his heart skip a beat, but he was ecstatic. Despite the snow the two of you walked a full circut before returning home with fresh donuts from the bakery in town. That became a new daily ritual.
~~Two years later~~
Alzheimer’s isn’t a disease that can be completely predicted, some people are affected very differently. The flow of time is naturally unforgiving, but for the birds the way it was flying had them caged in a dance like marionettes getting tangled within their own strings. By this point Izuki was now wearing adult diapers, because he couldn’t always make it to the restroom. And sometimes he forgot where he was going when he started to head to the restroom, his favorite foods changed. He no longer liked coffee jelly, and instead preferred more tart treats. Takao had learned the Heimlich as an emergency procedure, and had gotten Izuki a wristband with a tracker in it so he could find him, since he was sleeping less and wandering a lot more. Takao didn’t bring Hyuuga around anymore, because his constant aggravation caused stress for Izuki and ended up upsetting him quite a bit. So Riko would come over to dye Takao’s hair and check in on Izuki now.
Takao refused to let the birthday party be solemn, and was constantly being the voice of cheer which caused more worry for those around him. Not even a week later Izuki got startled by Takao’s intimacy and shoved him away, he fell down a flight of stairs from the poor angle and ended up with a fracture. Still the hawk smiled and apologized, it was his fault. The doctors tried to force Takao to give sleeping pills or sedatives to Izuki and he yelled at them, causing Izuki who was in the waiting room to panic. Once Takao shrugged  off the doctor he used his crutch and hobbled out to Izuki apologizing and calming him down.
He was glaring daggers at the doctor. “I am not sedating him because of my clumsiness. It wasn’t his fault. I don’t want to kill him because you don’t know how to treat him. I highly doubt you’d ever consider doping your own family just because of a little fight. Just because he’s sick doesn’t mean I can force him to take something like that. I am not turning my best friend into a zombie to fit your ideals. You can go fuck yourself. Thanks for the consideration, but no way in hell.” Since Takao almost never got mad, the fact that his voice muffled as anything had resounded in the waiting room made Izuki think he did something wrong. When the hawk had come out and hugged him and soothed him he calmed down. Really he was like a little child, he needed constant recognition, he’d constantly need to be changed or cleaned up, he would forget things or be distracted, he might not remember things and get scared by intimacy sometimes…. But the fear mostly came from the fact that it was comforting, and although it was comforting, he didn’t know why and because he didn’t understand that it was scary.
It didn’t take long from then…. It was only a few months into the next year when Takao was down graded from friend to roommate…. Izuki was having trouble remembering Takao’s name sometimes and he was forgetting to eat even when he was sitting with food. He started having trouble swallowing. The eagle wasn’t happy, he was constantly agitated, he was constantly trying to remember things that were outside of his memory. There were a few more incidents where Takao got hurt, he asked Momoi to help him find replicas of glassware in his house with plastic after he fell into a vase and cut up his hands. That made his photography session a few hours later a bit difficult. Still he managed.
Weeks passed and summer arrived…. But although the sun rose, the eagle wasn’t moving…. He had forgotten how to breathe in the middle of the night. The hawk sunk to the floor at the bedside, he was too numb to even cry at the moment. His hand moved like he was a puppet making all the arrangements for the burial, the coroner, the funeral home. Phone call after phone call, delayed only by an hour when Takao had to work, he was completely numb… He couldn’t process it, he lost his other half… Even though Izuki had vanished months ago… He finally no longer had breath, it was sort of surreal, it was harder to accept than the slue of injuries that came from the confusion. The photographs that Takao took that day had a sophisticated and solemn air, the editor was surprised but didn’t say anything negative. Kise cancelled the rest of his day to stay and help Takao organize things.
Everything passed in a blur, it wasn’t even a week later when the funeral procession began. The final viewing, Takao and Mai stood faithfully greeting guests. The hawk was still pretty battered from his last fight with Shun. When it came time to give a speech the hawk reluctantly stepped forward, his eyes had a hurt that was incomprehensible in them, his heart was finally starting to move… This was it the final stage…. “Shun was a wonderful person, he was loved by family, friends, former teammates, coworkers, his husband and even those random people lucky enough to make his acquaintance, but unlucky enough to become targets of his puns. To him it was punishing to be unable to come up with a new pun, he was proud when he beat his 100 pun record, and he managed to continue to fly above it all with his eagle eye… Although toward the middle of everything he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s that doesn’t mean we lost anything… After all, those memories lived on in his heart, even if his brain forced him to forget… Every day was a struggle for him as we reached the end, he was upset that he couldn’t remember his friends, family, lover or pet… So… Although it is heartbreaking…” Takao coughed as his tears swallowed his voice for a moment before he could continue “Although it’s heartbreaking… Remember he is happy now… Sickness does not follow us in death, so he is free… So cherish the memories of those dozens of puns, the games and the smiles. The happy and the sad… Because no matter what way, everyone present knew Shun… And he wouldn’t want you to be sad… He’d probably say that this was a rather grave situation and that he was dying to liven it up a bit, but he’s drop dead tired.” Despite his best efforts the tears were falling and his smile was forced, he was trying to give the best he could. A few scattered voices chirped in 'Amen’ and then the rest of the room did.
Takao finally sat down and started crying silently while the preacher gave his sermon, the burial would be a few hours later. The final moment was too much. Takao couldn’t stop the tears, and no one knew how to comfort him, they could only be there patting his shoulders or rubbing his back….

Takao makes sure to lose touch with Midorima after high school because he was in love and it hurt. He had tried confessing once but Midorima shut him down. But it was clear that Midorima knew what Takao wanted to do but wanted things to remain the same. But Midorima found himself full of regret and longing since Takao left. 6 years after high school, at Aomine and Momoi's wedding Kagami lets slip to Midorima that Takao is now with Izuki and that Mr & Mrs Aomine will be their new neighbours...
//Oooh why do I feel like this one might hurt a bit? Lets go~Phew this got rather long so I’m using the usual read more tag. //
((With Takao sick and unable to attend the wedding, the oblivious ace of Seirin returned from America encouraged by the new bride the tsundere and the hawk meet again… But can six years of distance and pain really be overcome over one night?))
~.:.~Flashback to Team Graduation Day~.:.~Following Shuutoku’s tradition after the final game the seniors had to leave the team, and take the remaining time to study and prepare for school. There were quite a few seniors who had remained even though they didn’t get much play time, thanks to the talented rookies only one or two players in the same year as Midorima and Takao got to even be on the bench normally. There was a small party to see off the seniors, then a spartan drill lead by the third year regulars before they were freed. Everyone had split up, and as normal the former ace and point guard were together. There wasn’t really anyone around so he built up the resolve and stopped walking. Takao’s intent wasn’t missed by Midorima who was concerned at the moment the hawk faced him.
Midorima had looked at Takao with eyes full of confusion and disdain, he hadn’t been attracted to anyone that he was aware of, basketball was the thing that took all his time so he recoiled from Takao saying “Shin-chan… Since we’re going to be graduating soon I wanted to tell you something. After all, I don’t want to regret anything after we leave. So hear me out.” His smile was more fragile than normal, but that probably escaped the ace at that moment. The ravenette had taken a breath and looked up at him “I like you, I fell for you pretty hard somewhere along the line… We spent so much time together I didn’t even realize at first… But I can’t ignore it since I noticed… I really like you a lot.” The unchanging expression of shock changed to something similar to hurt and very similar to disgust, Midorima shook his head “…Takao… I…. That’s not something I can do…”
He refused to cry in front of him, and waved it off. The hawk had smiled and nodded “Of course… It’s not fitting for someone from a lineage like yours to be with a guy… I get it~ I just had to say it.” He had glanced at the clock on the wall and smiled wryly to himself “Right… I was supposed to meet my sister soon, I gotta run Shin-chan. See you around.” Turning on his heel he left Midorima reaching toward him hesitating, he could tell something was wrong, but he didn’t know what to say… Things between them had been so precious to him, to both of them he thought, and he wanted to protect that.
Takao might not have been a track star, but when he needed to he could run. And right that moment all he needed to do was run, so he did, leaving his bike at school he bolted off campus heading to a park no one went to anymore. He couldn’t get Midorima’s disappointed and disgusted looks out of his head. Tears were burning in his eyes by the time he got to the park, he threw himself at the ground back to a fence separating the weeded park from a decrepit basketball court.
              ~~A few weeks later~~ Shuutoku Graduation day~~
Graduation day at Shuutoku was always a grand affair, there were so many students and so many athletes continuing on to greatness. The hawk and the tsundere would have probably been standing together if things hadn’t cracked… Takao built up his resolve and after they graduated from the team, confessed to the former ace, who hadn’t taken it well. Takao knew that Midorima was bad with expressing his emotions to begin with, but the disgust that had seeped out made the forgiving hawks heart shatter.
Midorima was surrounded by people trying to recruit him last minute, family and team members who were congratulating him. That day Takao was glad to be part of the shadow family, he slipped out of the press of people after he got his diploma and a couple photos for his family. He avoided the buzz and slipped off campus for the last time like a shadow in the night. He’d lost weight from pushing himself to study, he enrolled in a nearby school knowing that Midorima wouldn’t be going someplace so small he was relieved. As he was aimlessly walking the street a familiar voice had called out to him with a bad joke “Ah! It seems birds of a feather do flock together! An eyesore has appeared!” Perhaps it was the memories from playing Seirin over the years, or maybe it was because he did feel a kinship to the eagle, maybe he just finally lost it… But the tears started falling again and Takao had tried to escape. Izuki had noticed something was wrong and caught him without meaning to at first, and brought him somewhere to talk.
~~ 6 years later ~~
Takao was bundled up in fluffy pajamas decorated with little eagles, he had a facemask on eyes red from lack of sleep and fever. Still he managed to joke “Jeez Shun… Everything will be untied if you stay like this.” With his trembling hands he fixed Izuki’s tie smiling under his mask. Gently he leaned his forhead to the other’s shoulder when he finished “You have to go for both of us… Momoi would kill me otherwise, especially since they’re moving into the apartment across the hall… We can’t just be flighty neighbors” Izuki couldn’t help but laugh at the bad joke and gently kissed Takao’s cheek before helping him back to the bed, his fever was insane. Honestly Izuki wanted to stay and look after him, but Takao would force himself to go if he’d attempted to do that, so there was an impasse. Takao’s little sister was going to drop by around dinner to make sure her brother ate some porridge, since she was attending university nearby she stopped in sometimes.
Reluctantly after tucking his little hawk into bed and putting a cool cloth on his head the eagle headed out with a sunset colored gift bag in hand. The pink and the blue colors had been so perfect for Aomine and Momoi’s wedding gift that the two birds had picked it before they decided on the gift itself. As Izuki headed to the reception hall to drop it off he crashed into Kagami. They chatted and walked to the venue for the wedding together, it’d been a while since Kagami left for America, he came back since Momoi made sure to invite him. After all who would skip inviting on of her husband’s best friends and rivals to their special day. Izuki caught Kagami up on everything he knew about, how Akashi was sponsoring different basketball events as he took over for his family. About how Midorima and Takao hadn’t talked since school, and how he didn’t know what the green miracle was up to but that he was seeing Takao. About how Kuroko became one of the most diligent preschool teachers around, despite his disappearing act. About Murasakibara opening a sweet shop, Kise was staring in films and on television now. Most of them still played ball in their free time as well, Kiyoshi had gone to America to get the best treatment for his leg. The coach and Hyuuga finally got together, they took over the sports gym and barber shop so they alternate what needs to get done. Kagami filled him in of what it was like abroad, how Alex was doing, about having met Nijimura the former captain of the miracles and such. After they arrived and took their seats they settled in to watch the wedding unfold, it was stunning how gorgeous Satsuki had gotten, she was glowing. With Kuroko and Kise standing behind Aomine and Riko behind Momoi everything was radiant. No one believed Daiki could be so gentle as he lifted the veil over his new wife’s face, there were plenty of cheers and tears as the two promised their lives to each other.
Hours later at the reception Izuki was apologizing to the Ao couple for Takao’s absence, he offered to help them move their gifts back to the apartment from the hall as well so they wouldn’t be late for their flight. While they chatted Kagami spotted a rather miserable looking Midorima, it seemed like he had taken the road of being a doctor. Midorima’s eyes had swept over the crowd a few times, appearing rather sad, drawing Kagami over to him without knowing it. They chatted about their professions, since Midorima over exerted himself in high school he had damaged some of the muscles in his arm. To help younger athletes avoid similar injuries he took the path of medicine, he heard a lot about Kagami playing pro overseas. They chatted a bit about the past and Kagami realized how much he was missing Takao, since Izuki-san hadn’t mentioned that Takao didn’t want to see the carrot he didn’t see any harm in telling him how the hawk was doing. Midorima’s hand curled around the small plush bird in his hand and he trembled slightly thanking him, then he dipped out to take a call from his job. Kagami wandered off to catch up with the others and congratulate the couple. Kagami was stunned to learn that the cake was made by Murasakibara, and the catering was done by Mitobe and Kogenai who now ran a catering company.
As the night was winding down Midorima saw Izuki helping Daiki and Satsuki and offered to help, since he had driven down in case he had to leave for the hospital. The blue-pink pair smiled and left Midorin and Izuri to handle the gifts so they could go on their short trip since it was only a few days. Satsuki handed Midorima the key smiling saying “If you could set things up Midorin I’d appreciate it~ You can leave the key with Izurin afterwards” She hugged the two and dragged Aomine away. It was her consideration, even Izuki couldn’t help but sigh. Good intentions pave the road to hell they say, her intentions were so pure no one could argue. Maybe her name should have been Shiroki instead of Momoi. Even Midorima was surprised by the obviousness of her intentions and looked somewhat apologetically at Izuki. After everything was loaded into the car he drove to the parking lot designated for the building and helped carry the gifts upstairs, between the two of them it took about three trips to get everything inside up to the third floor and into the apartment. It would take Midorima a few hours to sort everything and unpack it for them. He was probably going to be house sitting for the newlyweds for the night, Izuki couldn’t help but pity the awkward doctor. Midorima had taken out his phone and was searching for nearby restaurants, after all he’d have to eat something and probably buy toiletries or something. Granted being a doctor he likely had a stash in his car incase he had to stay out overnight.
Taking pity on him Izuki steeled himself and smiled “Why don’t you come over and eat dinner with us… Takao might be sleeping though, he caught a pretty bad cold when he was out doing his last photography exhibition shoot, he was trying to get the perfect photo for Aomine and Momoi’s wedding gift and he fell head first into the ice cold ocean… He’s been recovering for about a week now… I don’t know how he’ll take to it though, after all when you’re sick it’s hard to hold anything together…” Midorima hesitated and Izuki could see the internal struggle, he clearly regretted hurting Takao back then and missed him… Izuki couldn’t help but wonder just how much.
After a bit of coaxing and deliberation Midorima followed Izuki across the hall to the apartment the bird pair shared, they took their shoes off at the entrance of Aomine’s and Midorima just used slippers to cross over since he had to come back to unpack anyway. His little bird plushie was snuggled into his breast pocket since he’d needed both hands to carry that insane amount of gifts. Izuki was startled to see Takao sitting curled up in a ball hugging a deco pillow on the sofa sound asleep. It seems his sister had come and helped him eat, but then had to leave. She left a note on the coffee table ’Sorry Shun-nii, Kazu refused to lay back down and I have a lecture tonight for astronomy so I couldn’t argue! so I bundled him up before I left. He seems to be doing a bit better, his temperature is coming down! Good luck!’  Midorima had frozen in place seeing the hawk, although he had clearly aged, with that mask on and the flush from fever he looked nearly identical to how he was in high school. Izuki stroked Takao’s hair and murmured quietly so Midorima wouldn’t hear “Kazu, wake up love, we have a visitor if you’re up for it… An old friend of yours.” Takao’s eyes fluttered open tiredly and even with the mask his overjoyed smile was obvious on his face as he released the pillow and wrapped his arms around Izuki’s neck pressing his forehead to the eagle’s much cooler one mumbling tiredly “Shun you’re home… I missed you…” He affectionately cuddled for a moment and Izuki stroked his hair smiling, he was really cute like this. A few moments after he finally woke up he froze his steel eyes showed something that startled Izuki, they were full of fear when he noticed Midorima. He returned to hugging the pillow causing Izuki to almost lose his balance as he caught himself of the sofa, stroking his hair he said “Kazu, Midorima is unpacking for Momoi… I invited him over to eat so he doesn’t have to go to a restaurant… Is that okay?” The eagle was concerned seeing his lover so startled, he regretted his choice more seeing him visibly tremble. Midorima was about to say he’d go out after all when Takao’s voice finally responded “I-it’s fine…. Shin-chan probably still hates eating out… Especially alone… He finds people too noisy… And he got teased a lot back then…”
Both Midorima and Izuki were surprised by the answer, but the hawk wasn’t looking at his former teammate he was staring at the tie he fixed for Izuki earlier. Izuki kissed Takao’s forehead and nodded “Alright love, would you like some ice cream to eat with us? Your throat sounds sore.” Takao nodded and looked at his lover clearly nervous. Izuki whispered to him again “It’s okay Kazu, I’m not going anywhere… If you can’t take it anymore just call for me.” Reluctantly he nodded as he watched Izuki pull back and stretch glancing at Midorima smiling “Sit down for a bit, relax I’ll make us something light since it’s late.” Izuki the headed into the kitchen which was separated by an island toward the back of the large room.
Midorima sat in the chair closest to the exit, he smiled almost tearfully at Takao as he was the first to break the silence that spread between them “It’s been six years… Have you been doing well?” Takao was startled that Midorima took the initiative to break the silence and nodded. “I graduated from the same school as Shun with a business degree and a photography certificate… I’ve been doing photography for a few years and playing ball with a local team…. I’ve been together with Shun for about five years now…” Squeezing the pillow tighter to his chest he almost whimpered out “How have you been Shin-chan… I haven’t seen you since graduation…” Midorima blinked smiling kindly nodded “I finally finished my doctorate, I’ve been practicing progressive medicine since I hurt myself a bit in our last year from over exertion. I’ve been busy with my family as well, my father wants my assistance frequently. At the last alumni team meeting the senpai were asking about you, they asked me to pass their contact information to you if I got the chance as your number changed from back then…. I’ll be sure to leave it with Izuki-san for you so you have it when you’re feeling better… You know Miyaji-san has always been a worrier, and he was concerned that you were missing.” A small warmth took the edge of fear out of the hawk’s eyes hearing about their former seniors. The eagle in the kitchen making them fried rice relaxed a bit, this was going better than expected… Though they were rather formal with each other, clearly those two ex-best-friends didn’t know what level of distance to have anymore…
The two had small conversations, about the seniors, photography, their little sisters, their old friends, nothing substantial. This continued over the meal, they ate at the coffee table since Takao probably shouldn’t sit in a dining chair trembling as he was. Izuki sat beside Takao with a cushion between them at the hawk insisting that he might still be contagious. Slowly the eagle was dragged into reminiscing about Seirin and Shuutoku in the past, how him and Takao had hooked up and so on. The pace changed slightly when Izuki went to take the dishes into the kitchen after turning down Midorima’s offer to wash them. Swallowing his pride Midorima gave Takao the little bird plushie that had been his lucky item and said “I’m glad you’re doing well with Izuki-san Takao… Since you left back then I was worried… I didn’t want things between us to change… I loved you…. But you were like a brother to me, I didn’t know how I should respond… I couldn’t handle thinking I might lose you… But because of that, my selfishly believing that nothing would change… I did lose you… I won’t stop by anymore since it’s obvious you don’t want to see me anymore… Thank you for being my best friend and partner in the past… Stay well Takao” After that Midorima had thanked Izuki once again for inviting him and disappeared across the hall, locking the door and unpacking for the newlyweds. Before dawn Midorima had already left, leaving an envelope with the senior’s contact information with the key the the Aomine apartment in Izuki and Takao’s mailbox.
Takao was in shock for a few days and ended up getting more sick from stress, it took Izuki a few days to calm the hawk down and soothe him back to being himself. True to his word they didn’t see Midorima again, but Momoi promised he was doing well. Aomine accidently let it slip that the tsundere had gone on a vacation to recover from a heartbreak. That was the end for them. It was just as jagged as their start… A perfect ending for an imperfect pair, maybe once the hurt was gone once the nightmares of disgust and distance stopped plaguing them they’d be able to attend one of the alumni meets together, instead of one going by day and the other by night… A true light and shadow story. The hawk plushie sits in the bottom of a shoe box in the box with Takao’s Shuutoku things that Izuki refuses to throw away, knowing one day his lover might really regret it.
