Latest addition to my miniature obsession- Ruins!

They look complicated, but they were unbelievably easy to make. I pressed the brick texture into printmaking foam, carved out random chunks with an exacto and then pasted some craft foam shapes on.

Used the same black gessopodge mixture as my spelljammer crash model to coat the whole thing after it dried- really fills in all the holes and makes it super easy to drybrush.

Model of a crashed spelljammer I dropped on my party while they were minding their own business

The ship is a dice tower that can be removed so my parter can still use it- thinking about pasting a ufo or something in the empty spot eventually

I made the fields out of cardboard peices I ripped the top layer off of, then glued them to a board. I built the rest up with various acrylic mediums (pumice gel my beloved)

After it dried I gave it a layer of black gessopodge (gesso I mixed with modpodge, smells very.. interesting) and a layer of base paint/dry brushing. Then I just glued on some grass and voila!

Got some of those cheap craftwood bird houses and covered them in craft foam 💯 attempted one in paperclay that came out much heavier and lumpier. I'm pumped about the foam ones tho cus I've already dropped them a bunch of times and they're super resilient

First attempt at making terrain- used mostly modpodge for this on craft foam with a little pumice gel for the river bed. Was kind of an experiment but it dried flexible which is cool. Next time I wanna add more variation in textures and any future rivers will be way less blue lmao

been calling this one ice baby

It's not super done yet, but it's been too humid for krylon- (I learned my lesson lmao) but I wanna make the base and all the bloody bits shiny eventually. It also came out more blue than I intended, so I might go back in with some white before I spray it.

One day I'll get a camera that's good

Another before and after of the owlbear mini I painted for my brother. I was going for horned owl so I left a lot of black in the feathers- the wings looks kinda like a pine cones so I named him Pine Cone

It was Very Smooth so I took my dremel to it and epoxied some polymer clay rocks to the base. I wish my camera was better, but you get the gist
