If the MC hadn't made things worse for themselves, would it have even made a difference? Sounds like it was a pretty open and shut case.
If the MC hadn’t dug themselves in the rabbit hole that they did? Yes, I think it definitely would have made a difference when in regards to the Guardians. As the actions afterwords were the final nails in all of your coffins; even then the Guardians protected the MC for as long as they could.
The city wanted answers. You were the only logical conclusion. Adding to everything else? It didn’t matter that you were a hero. You fell into the trap that the people who actually committed the acts laid out for you.

How would ROs in relationship stage react to someone telling them all these badass stories about MC's time as a Guardian while RO sees MC just being a giant dork in the background?
Callan: His brow raises in a silent question, hazel eyes slowly slipping past the interloper towards you. Gaze narrowing in silent disbelief that you could be anything but a dumbass. “Them?” He asks with thinly veiled amusement. “I know what the stories say but my own eyes say something else.”
Eirene: “The stories may exaggerate a small bit,” she replies with a gentle smile quirking her lips. Eyes shimmering with soft adoration as she watches you try to do gymnastics in the background. “Not to say that they aren’t bad ass. I just think it’s important to realize there was also the rest of us there too.”
Drake: Shaking his head, he crosses his arms over his chest. “I’ve heard all of these stories before,” he grumbles, leaning back against the wall. “And every time I hear them something shifts. It wasn’t ten robots it was twenty. I have a hard time believing anything that comes out of your mouth. I know that they’re bad ass but I learn from sight. Not from stories derived from gossip.”
Natasha: Listening to the stories with apt attention, legs crossed and head cocked to the side, she grins widely at the depictions. Blue eyes glinting with the telltale signs of her mischievous personality. “Really now?” She purrs with a slight upturn of her lips. “If they can do all of that I might have to start getting rougher with them. To keep things balanced and fun.”

You mention that you might one or two more ROs? Can you share any info about who they might be?
I might, yes 😄. Currently I have three characters that could potentially fill that spot— I just don’t know who will fill that spot. Or even if it will be filled.
Scarlett Lavigne: Think Poison Ivy when in regards to Scarlett. With shimmering pale green eyes, that seem almost poisonous, and a saccharine smile that promises so much more than you know; Scarlett definitely has an appeal that not many can withstand. With dark auburn hair falling to just above her shoulder blades.
Grey Cassidy: He’s an enigma wrapped up in a cinnamon roll package. He doesn’t speak about his past often but everything he does share only brings more questions. Like his namesake, Grey has silver eyes (mainly due to his heritage) and silvery blonde hair. His tanned skin causing both to stand out.
And the last is Redacted… as I realized it could be potential spoilers for various things if said characters name is revealed. It’s a fun one though.

Halloween 🎃 ask how would the ROs react if they went to a haunted house with MC and they got so scared they latched themselves in to the RO arm
Callan: “It’s a volleyball tied to a string,” he sighs with a soft shake of his head. Though he begrudges your hold on his arm. Making sure that you were tucked into his side as the journey continues. “God forbid it’s a basketball next time.”
Eirene: Smiling gently, she bumps her hip against yours. Warmth exuding from her green eyes as she glances at you. “Everything all right?” She tilts her head. “Do we need to turn back?”
Drake: Knowing what was about to happen, he easily pulls you against his side and shifts. Making sure that his body was in front of whatever it was that was about to scare you. “You know we can turn back, right? No one will think any less of you if we do.”
Natasha: Stiffening, almost on instinct at the smell of your fear, she turns her razor sharp eyes to the darkened surroundings. A warning growl rumbling up from deep within her chest. One arm securely wrapping around you. “Don’t worry, pumpkin, I’ll keep ya safe.”

So how are the Ro's like when they're jealous? How would they handle someone putting the moves on the MC when they're present? Really excited for this WIP I'm so happy you've decided to share it with us^^
Callan: He gets really catty about it. Will act like it doesn’t bother him but will stay closer to you than he normally does. Eyes fixed in a hard glare as he stares at the person that thinks they can take you from him. Will definitely be more affectionate than he normally is in public. Anything to keep your attention on him.
Eirene: She gets petulant. Pouting as she watches your attention slip from her to someone else. If she notices that said person is trying to put the moves on you? You’ll suddenly notice the way the air in the room seems to shift. Or how the person that is flirting with you lands on their ass from some unseen force. With Eirene appearing beside you with a gentle smile.
Drake: Will immediately steer clear of anyone he knows will start flirting on you. As he knows their intentions before they even say one word. And he doesn’t have to read their minds to know what they’d like to do to you. It’s not something he can stomach thinking about so he’ll always stay by your side. No matter what.
Natasha: The person flirting with you really wants to sign their life away, huh? It will take everything within Natasha not to throttle the person that thinks they can take you from her. A possessive heat slowly scorching across her body as she sidles closer and closer to you. Very much a predator scoping out her prey. If the person gets too close? Natasha will be there with an acidic smile and venomous words. The glint of metal in her hands, just partially out of view, telling them all that they need to know. Back the fuck up.
All of them would be all right with innocent flirting though. Meaning the person is just being kind and it could come across as flirting. They also know that the MC can be seen as attractive by other people— they’re not dumb, but they definitely want people to know the MC is off the market.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how resistant the ROs are to a MC giving them puppy dog eyes
Callan: 10/10— you gotta do more than that to make him bend. He’ll find the effort amusing though and quite adorable in his own way. Though he wouldn’t admit as such to you.
Eirene: 2/10— she’s one of the most powerful people in the world. Who is done in by your puppy eyes being directed at her. Though she isn’t as susceptible as she used to be.
Drake: 6/10— sometimes it works with him and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s just a toss up depending on what it is you’re actually asking him for.
Natasha 0/10 or 11/10— depending on her mood that day she’ll either be super susceptible or not even bat an eye. Just one of the many unpredictable aspects of her personality. She’ll find you cute all the same though.

angsty ask: how would the RO’s react if MC took a fatal hit for them?
Callan: His entire body stills at the sight of your crumpled form laying before him. A normally sharp kind not being able to process what exactly he was seeing, because it couldn’t possibly be true. You couldn’t possibly be gone.
Torn from him like all the others. Another nameless face in his sea of misery. A constant pressure on his heart; the only mantra echoing with each dull thud being you failed.
Dropping to his knees, forgetting about the battle waging around him, he cradles your head on his lap. Pulling you to him as if he could still protect you. He knew that you were gone. He knew that it was because of him.
He just didn’t want to believe it.
Eirene: A wordless scream escapes her mouth at the sight of you following. Only her powers keep you from crashing harshly into the ground. The wind picks up speed as she collapses next to you. Dry sobs erupting from her lips.
“No, no, no,” she cries while her tears mix with the pelting rain. “This can’t be happening. I’ve already lost you once. I can’t lose you again.”
Lowering her head, she tries desperately to ignore how still you were. How pale you have already gotten as each second ticked by. She knew that you were gone; knows that you were dead before you hit the ground.
But that doesn’t stop her wails from mixing perfectly with the thunderous cries of the storm tearing through the battlefield.
Drake: He knew what was going to happen before it did. Knows that he was about to lose the most precious thing in his life. He tries to cry out, tries to stop you, but there was nothing he could do. For all his foresight he couldn’t save you.
Wordlessly he has to watch as you crumple to the ground. Blood dripping onto the ground from a wound that was meant for him. A wound that he knew was going to get before you decided to intercept.
Lowering himself to the ground, he gently wraps his arms around your form. His head lowering to nuzzle into your neck. Trying to inhale as much of your scent as he could before it was gone. Memorizing what it felt like to have you in his arms once last time.
He knew the moment the bullet left its chamber that you were going to die.
He just wishes he had been faster.
Natasha: An animalistic howl erupts from her lips at the sight of your still form. She focuses entirely on you as she slides across the ground to get to you. Frantic blue eyes searching for any sign of life as she clutches at your slack face.
“Baby?” She murmurs with tears slowly sliding down her face. Blood and dead bodies were old friends at this point, but yours? She’d do anything to unsee the pallid complexion to your skin. Lifeless eyes staring up towards the sky. Crimson liquid slowly makes a halo around your body.
Lifting her head, she locks eyes with the person who took you from her. Her fingers flexed in preparation for what she was about to do.
Her malicious smile is straight out of a nightmare. Voice dropping to a deep-set growl. “You better run, you piece of shit. Because when I catch you I’m going to rip you limb from fucking limb.”

So for Nat is "sugar" something she calls everyone she meets or is it just a MC thing. Also is it more of a sugar (derogatory) until its sugar (affectionate).
It’s definitely an MC thing. She’s more of a fuckface type of person with everyone else 😂.
When she uses sugar earlier on it’s not necessarily derogatory but it’s also not used in the kindest way. She’ll use your name but it’s also her way of keeping her distance (by using sugar). It’ll slowly transform into an affectionate name though.
Sort of like Callan with dumbass.

Callan: A teasing smile appears on his lips at the sight of your struggle. Hazel eyes glinting with good humor as he dips his head towards you. "Need help?"
Eirene: "Just ask," she huffs with an exasperated smile pulling at her lips. Her head already dipping down so her lips could get reacquainted with yours. "That's all you have to do but you'd rather suffer in silence."
Drake: Tilting his head to the side for a moment, Drake smiles softly down at you. His body stooping lower to make it a more comfortable position for you. "There you go, love."
Natasha: "Oh! Aren't you just the cutest?" She coos as she easily picks you up with her hands clutching your thighs. Pressing you up against a nearby wall as she grins at you. "Do I get a reward, pumpkin?"

I had a RO ask: How would the ROs react to MC holding their face in their hands and saying "I can hold my whole world in my hands"? This would probably work out best if the ROs and the MC were in an established relationship😅. Though it is upto you.
Callan: “Is this how we’re doing things now?” He asks with a raised brow. Though not even he could help the small quirk in his lips. Or the softening of his gaze as he stares at you. “I suppose I can get used to it.”
Eirene: “So I’m the whole world, huh?” She asks with a warm smile quirking her lips. Green eyes flashing with complete adoration as she practically melts into your hands. “Does that make you the universe then?”
Drake: His eyes narrow for a brief moment as he tries to figure out what you’re getting at. A smile appearing on his face once it clicks in his mind. “I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve that but I’ll cherish the title always.”
Natasha: Throwing her head back, Natasha allows a warm laugh to fall from her lips. Bright blue eyes sparkling with amusement as she meets your gaze once more. “That was absolutely horrible, sugar.” Shaking her head, she practically bounces closer to you. Framing your face with her own hands. “Let me think of one.”

Sooooooooo what's MC's powers?
I am actually still deciding that… I’m trying to make a central power that the player can adapt with. (Sort of like Fallen Hero.) I have a few in mind that I know can work for the story… I just need to figure them out.
In case you’re wondering the ROs powers:
Callan: Can make himself invisible for short instances of time. He can also make himself mist like; making it easy for him to slip through objects. (Becoming fully invisible exhausts him.)
Eirene: She’s very much like Storm— hence her name Tempest. She can conjure powerful storms that bend to her will. Sort of like if she was the child of Poseidon.
Drake: He can read people’s minds but he doesn’t do so often. As he thinks it’s an invasion of their privacy. So, because of his power, he can just predict things that are about to happen. Making him a crucial aspect in a fight.
Natasha: Her powers give her a boost to strength, agility, and stamina. (Hence why she’s called Huntress.) She has heightened senses but she mainly relies on her agility and reflexes. Especially when she’s going in for a kill.

Saw the tag and now I have to ask, how would the RO group respond to some criminal calling them a group of derps and MC responding "Hey! They may be derps, but they're MY derps!"? Let go with MC being good friends with the group.
Callan: Being a criminal himself, he simply raises a brow completely unimpressed. “Is this the showmanship now? What I’ve been anticipating seeing once more?” Turning towards you with a thinly veiled scoff. “I think I’d like to go back to prison now.”
Eirene: Her eyes crackle, almost turning white due to the power coursing through her veins, but at your retort a soft chuckle escapes her. Softening her countenance completely. “I wasn’t aware we were anything of the sort, Anon.”
Drake: “What the hell does that even mean?” Shaking his head, he’s almost inclined to peak inside of the criminals mind to understand what exactly they were getting at. However, his conditioning and morals halt him from doing so. “Why out of all the insults would you call us derps? And why would you agree with them?”
Natasha: Fingers twitching at her side, envisioning one of her knives finding a home between their eyes, Natasha scoffs sharply at your response. Though an amused look etched itself across her features. “I don’t know what the hell you’re getting at bud,” she hisses waving one her of knives. “But if I wasn’t on a leash, that depends on good behavior, you’d be six feet under.”
