I'm very sorry if you've sent a request between now and late February/early march, but burn out is a bitch right now and making it very difficult for me to write anything that I don't absolutely hate.

I honestly don't know very much about it :,)

From the clips I've seen, I'll definitely be watching some of the vods. It honestly looks hilarious.

However, I do find the thing with dream making the "first" multilingual Minecraft server stupid, albeit hilarious. Personally, I don't support dream, though I try not to judge those who do. However, this screenshot from after dream released his new SMP made my fucking day.

To you, your birthday was always your business - nobody else's.

You celebrated with your family and your friends in real life

You'd never revealed your birthday to the public

You liked your privacy and it felt a little too risky for your taste

You were showing one of your favourite gifts you'd received today, having forgotten they didn't know your birthday.

It takes Ranboo a second to realise that he didn't know your birthday in the first place. He thought he'd been told and just forgot about it, so he sat there apologising for forgetting about your birthday for a good five minutes.

Tommy is about shouty, tbh. He's in shock that you told him your birthday by showing him the fucking cow print trousers that your mum got you.

Tubbo kind of forgets he didn't already know your birthday. He's just going with it, like he knew all along. He tries not to make a big deal out of it.

Niki is quite honoured that you've told her. She doesn't know a lot about you, since privacy is very important to you, so she's glad you're letting her into that part of your life.

Jack finds it quite funny that this is how he's finding out it's your birthday. Yes, he's glad you trust him with that information, but that doesn't mean it's not quite funny. He'll probably forget you don't share your birthday online though, and he might let it slip.

Wilbur is quite annoyed that you only just told him. Not because he feels entitled to know, but he's annoyed that he hasn't had time to get you anything, so he sends something to your house to arrive tomorrow with Amazon prime.

Schlatt half-thinks it's a joke - a way to throw him off and make him think it's your birthday, when it's actually not. He's quite confused when you laugh at him for thinking that.

C!Techno, though he doesn't act like it, is glad you told him. To everyone else on the SMP, you were a mystery. Nobody knew where you were from or when you were born, so he was quite honoured to know. He tries to throw something together as a small gift, though.

Phil is in disbelief that you've told him with no issues - so casually. He's glad you told him, it proves that your relationship really has changed over the time you've known each other.

You just had that effect on people, I suppose

Lots of weird jokes came out of your unlikely friendship

A very bad influence on you

Likes to call you when you're at school, especially if you live in a different timezone

Would pay for trains, flights, whatever it took

Would even drive or fly to you himself if you couldn't

Always tells you to stay in school and not drop out

He wants you to have a backup plan if things don't go to plan, and I honestly rate that

Doesn't mean he won't call your teachers stupid and say your work is pointless, but you win some, you lose some

But if you're genuinely not getting anything from it and it's a waste of your time, he'll just tell you to do what you think is best

Goes feral when you get weird people in your chat

Doesn't matter if you legally become an adult, you're still a child

You two have a joke where you call him old and he calls you an infant

Since I'm at home today due to teachers going on strike, I want to remind people that more often than not, going on strike is justified, but the media likes to make it out that these people are toddlers throwing their toys out of the pram.

In terms of teachers, they're greatly underpaid and overworked. Actual teaching from 9am-3pm is around a quarter of the job, not even including marking, lesson planning, arranging rooms and finding sources. When calculating their hourly wages, teachers found they made less than minimum wage. One found that they were making £4 an hour. This is not a living wage, especially with the cost of living crisis.

That's not even mentioning that when teachers are given a pay rise, it comes out of the budget for student's equipment. To gain a living wage, teachers have to take money that would ordinarily be spent on what we need to learn.

And what is the government doing about this? Well I'm glad you asked, absolutely fuck all. Inflation will happen anyway, but poverty is only going to increase if the value of things is going up and wages are staying where they are. Teachers can't survive if they're making £4/hr and living in a flat with £1000 rent pcm (this is the rent of a flat in my city, which is a less than 300,000 population). It takes 250 hours to make enough money to live for a month. The average teacher hours are 12 hours, including work that is done in school hours, meaning a teacher works four hours longer than the average, which is 8 hours. This means in one working day, a teacher that makes £4/hr is making £32. In a working month, which is 19-22 working days, said teacher will make, at the maximum, £704 per month. Do we see the issue here? With a rent pcm of £1000, and a monthly salary of £704, a teacher can't pay rent, let alone buy food, medicine or hygiene products (shampoo, soap, feminine products, etc).

TL;DR: cost of living is rising, wages aren't and teachers literally can't live.
