Hi! I don't know if you remember me but I'm back! I was struggling *a lot* with my mental health and economic situation. I dropped out of uni and got 2 jobs to help my dad, I went through hell but with luck, everything will be back to normal and I'll be active here. Cheers 💕
Ps: my art style has changed and WELP,, I thought of deleting all my art posts, I don't draw like that nowadays and I don't feel comfortable with people seeing... Old stuff. I'm still short in time so I'll share stuff that's far from perfect and catch up with Fallen hero whenever I can : )

okay so this was just supposed to be a doodle alkdfjadskf but have my sidestep Cipher past and present
Back in his sidestep days he was very trusting, foolhardy, and innocent. Seven years and a lot of trauma later and he’s not only more powerful but willing to do whatever’s necessary to win or strike fear into people
i fucking love how this turned out i loosely based the fool side of the card after the actual card, but the death side is based on the fact that O!Cipher blew up the museum and caused a massacre

Thanks for finding the masterpost Drin!
I have most of these, I'll recommend you to check out The art of animal drawing by Ken Hulligren, Color and Light by James Gurney, Figure Drawing for all it's worth by Andrew Loomis aaaand... Basically the rest hehe. Please be sure that books with 8499291 pages of theory are your jam before buying, some of them are expensive but that doesn't matter if you're going to learn something from this.

I'm glad to see original artists like you on my dash. Not like some cheap ass copy-paste artists of pheberoni's style 😌
1. I don't know who Pheberoni is or the rest of the artists you're talking about.
2. What do you accomplish with this call-out??? To spread hate??? I'm not seeing a compliment in here Anon just a coward move from your part. I'm not going to get deep in these situations because I don't know who these people are, be mature enough to talk with whoever your issues are.
3. Nothing is original nowadays, and no one is going to kick your ass if you get inspired by their art. You're going to develop your own style no matter what, let years past and you'll see, rule of nature.
4. Please don't start drama, the world has enough of it, let people enjoy their art with others on social media, many of us use them as a happy corner to escape negativity/real life for a minute, no need for drama.
Teach yourself to be humble and not make a show at other's cost. And please don't bark more than you know, every artist does their own thing and their own form of grinding to get better.

Tell us more about your artistic career. how did you get so good at drawing?
Career... I wished anon... I appreciate the thought tho <3
I'm self-taught, not by the internet, but by books! I was quite angery in my teenage years, everything is here and there for the hearing world. I found an alternative: books. I studied them from head to toe and improved a lot in 3 years.
I bought my first tablet for 30€, a Wacom Bamboo tablet (model CTH 670) a year ago. I can't take art more serious than a hobby because I don't have the courage to live of that in my country sooo... Yeah. And don't expect much of my digital side, I know how to block layers and paint lineart in other colors, that's literally it.
Oh! I don't want you to read this and don't get some "Dani gets honest" hour.
Please don't feel overwhelmed with your art, it's normal, you want to improve and everyone is telling you to "practice" or you always compare your art online, there's no need.
Look, just enjoy what you are doing, we are on the same boat, is difficult to get rid of "oh, but what would people think of this?" "Is this cool enough?" This mentality needs to begone friend, think of what you are doing as a little kid, you draw out of pure joy, with a grain of salt depending of how you want your art to be viewed to the masses, I know it's difficult but nothing is impossible.
And if you want a little boost/improvement in your art? Go for figure drawing, get 20 minutes of your time and practice a bit! You don't know where to find classes for figure drawing? I've got you covered! There's a site called Croquis Cafe (warning +18 NSFW, there's nudity) This site has MANY resources + they automatically timed their videos so you don't need to adjust it (or cheat hehe)
But why figure drawing you may ask? Because that's the heartbeat of your art, when you do this little practices you are improving as a unit, no need for studying things separately. Your brain learns shapes, dimensions, flow, etc. I didn't bother studying hands or feet at all, but I think they came of (weird) really good for not studying these in my life, and that's all thanks to figure drawing.
