Question: what does Finn and Marceline do for their birthdays?

People either celebrate their birthdays differently or not at all.

For Finn in his early ones, since he and Marceline lived alone and was homeschooled. So, they celebrated alone, playing some party games. Content and simple.

After BMO came along, there were more party games... and video games.

In his teens after Jake had been reformed, there was that certain birthday with a certain train. Events played out the same except the three bailed before the train flew off the rails and crashed. (Don't worry, no one got hurt) Then, they were all in an agreement that Marceline should plan her son's birthdays instead of Jake.

Finn's birthday after that was a party outside the Treefort. People having fun as normal as any outdoor party could be. Even Ice King was invited.

On his 17th birthday, Finn's party would be peaceful with Gumbald without a champion. Ice King still pops out of the cake.

For Marceline, she didn't really celebrate hers due to living over 1000 years. Even though she didn't, that didn't stop Finn from planning one for his mom.

With help and months of planning, Finn had Bonnie hang out with her as a distraction while Jake and Ice King went off to get decorations as Finn got cake. Though he got a strange look from the baker after he called Jake and said he got the red cake, but Finn shrugged it off.

When Marcy came back, she got quite the surprise when she opened to see the party in the house. After Jake told her Finn planned all this for her, she was touched, happy with tears that her son did all that for her.

They were having a great time, except for the part with LSP crashing the party, trying to make it all about her before Finn got angry and kicked her out.

She was given new clothes and some basses as presents.

When Finn brought out the cake, Marceline reminded Finn that she can only eat red. Finn insisted that it was red, but everyone else said otherwise, revealing that it was actually green, finding out Finn was colorblind.

Finn was emotionally beating himself up for his mistake and apologized, but Marceline hugged him saying it was okay, it was the thought that counted and that she was touched for everything he did for her.

Finally, she told her son that she loves him as he said it back, sharing a wholesome moment.

After 1000 years, it was the best birthday she ever had.

Finn has used many swords. Each unique in origin and power. Some are epic, some are bland.

Regal Sword: Just a regular sword Finn used after buying it before sneaking off into a dungeon. The gray bulb was originally red until his mom ate the color.

Ice Sword: A Christmas present from Grandpa Simon. Ice King made it, adding a defending spell from the crown. This sword was unfortunately destroyed by Scorcher after accidently hiring him and the spell flew back into the crown. So, Finn went back to using the Regal Sword before getting the next one.

Abadeer Demon Sword: Finn gets it during the second time meeting Grandfather Hunson. (The first time, Hunson tried to bond with him by trying to suck all the souls in Ooo) Hunson gives it to the little "prince" before making the offer to Marcy in taking over the Nightosphere. Events go down normally, even Finn wearing the amulet. So, Finn gets a new sword and trauma that day. This dark blade is infused with Hunson's magic, giving it power to suck up souls, chop ghosts and overpower even the strongest of foes. Marceline, however, destroys this one after finding out that the Demon Sword was corrupting her son to do evil, finding out Finn's been sneaking out dungeon crawling even before he got the sword. Though the effect was taking way slower than Hunson expected for some reason. (*cough* Comet *cough*)

Candy Cane Sword: With the Evil Sword Curse still lingering on Finn, Marceline banned her son from going into dungeons. He went to the Candy Kingdom to look for any thrill, but not too extreme as he's still a good-hearted hero. He went to Princess Bubblegum to see if there's anything he could do. As Hero of Ooo, she saw an opportunity and gave him a job as a knight, giving him a new sword. Though he had a breakdown and quits after enduring trauma from the second zombie incident, but he still kept the sword.

Celestial Light: Seeing the curse becoming worse for Finn, Marcy feared she was going to lose her son like she lost her father-figure. She looked through the Enchiridion and the library to find at least something to help him, even a little. (Now, I didn't think of a full story here, but they end up in another dimension, earns the orb and it lifts his curse) Made of purifying light, Finn could shape it into any tool he willed it to with a proud shout of its name. Celestial Light was destroyed when it stabbed into the Lich's heart, erasing him and the blade from existence.

Biotech Sword: Finn gets this sword from when he, his mom and BMO somehow ended up in space... on the Drift. At first look, it's a cool looking sword, but it can adjust its effectiveness from able to block attacks to slicing anything like hot butter. It can also create arcs of energy with every slash Finn makes in close combat or ranged and release shockwaves with every hit if he wants to. If the sword has been knocked away or just out of reach in general, it will fly back to him with just a thought.

Soul Sword: Created by Peppermint Bulter before the Lich War, a soul trapper. Finn used it on the PepperLich to end to war and dumped it in the same volcano where Magic Man threw Patience St Pim after she used him as an elemental spell battery, but not before turning her into an avocado.

Biotech Arm Sword: Shortly after losing his arm, the Biotech Sword merged with the severed appendage and immediately reattached itself onto him, giving him a hard light blade with the same features as before. At one point after, he discovered it could customize its appearance, giving himself claws.

There was that one sword he made with the Sister of Flame (Flame Princess), but he never used it and gave it to her after she overthrew her father.

And that's all the sword MMAU Finn has used.

Read this before reading below.

We know Jake was a thief for some time before deciding to stop. In this AU, he was still a thief until he was caught by Finn.

For Jake, he stole for the thrill, never thinking about the consequences for the places he stole from, which irritated Jermaine.

After his parents' passing, he tried to cope by doing more heists with his crew, leaving Jermaine alone with their father's artifacts.

He continued his heists, but they were never able to fill the void in his heart.

One day, in the Candy Kingdom, in his final heist, Marceline and Finn were having a normal mother-son outing. Finn noticed the thief running out of the bank with a bag of money and decide to stop him.

The two fought, Finn witnessing Jake's powers for the first time after hearing about it. Still, Finn held his own, eventually beating him, using Jake's strength against him.

After beating him, Finn went on how stealing is wrong and aggressively asked him if he thought about the people he stole from. The lives of families he would be ruining.

Jake felt regret and remorse for never once considering that, letting the Banana Guards cuff him.

When PB and Lady arrived, Lady wondered why her boyfriend doesn't escape. Not that she wants him to keep breaking the law.

Jake assured her that it's fine and that it's better this way.

After being imprisoned, he'd get visits from Lady, flirting and talking a lot. His old gang tried to break him out, but told them he's staying, serving his time as his days as a criminal are to be over. When they didn't accept it (Mostly Tiffany), Jake threatened to call the guards. This happened a bunch of times and Jake would sometimes do as he threatened to.

Over time he would be let out for community service. When he gets back, he'd had dream conversations with Jermaine. When Jake finally got released as a new dog, the first thing he did was visit Jermaine.

Of course, he'd be mad for every stupid thing Jake did, even after he apologized.

Jermaine goes venting as he did in Canon, leading to the house burning down.

With Jermaine calmed and Bryce free, they walk off into the woods. Jake wanted to come along, but Jermaine said it's okay and convinces him to live his own life as he will. Jake reluctantly agreed and promise to at least keep in touch.

So, Jake ends up living with Lady and goes around dungeon crawling, running into Finn. The two work together to defeat the dungeon and talk about doing it more often, becoming friends and fist bumping for the first time, ready for some Adventure Time.

(I know the comic above doesn't fit the timeline lore here, but I thought it'd be cool for Finn and Jake to become friends before being taken away. Also, I made it before thinking about the story here.)

Does Finn use a sword or the bass axe as a weapon?

With Finn being raised by Marceline, she wouldn't want any dangerous weapon near him, but he would get his hands on a toy sword as a kid.

Though, she would also pass down the axe and give him bass lessons in his teen years after installing blade covers.

Later on, she would eventually let him have weapons and remove the covers from the axe.

From then on, Finn would mostly use swords, but on occasion, he would use the axe.

He would try not to use the bass too much since he considers it a family heirloom. He's not wrong though.

So, to answer your question, Finn would use both swords and the axe bass, but he would mostly use swords

Do Finn and Marceline celebrate holidays and new years and how do they do it?

Also happy holiday and happy New year

In the first few years, Marceline told Finn the stories of Santa Claus and his elves and reindeers. Down the chimney and sneaks in the presents, those kinds of stories.

Every Christmas, she'd put a tree and decorate it inside the tree house, which Finn found a little funny as she flies him up so he could put up the star.

They would spend those years alone, singing Christmas songs and giving each other boxed or badly wrapped presents.

When Bmo came along, Christmas became a little more fun and less lonely with his party games, even though that wasn't typically meant for the holiday, but Marcy and Finn had fun.

In some of Finn's early teenage years, they'd spend their Christmas in the Ice Kingdom with Ice King and the penguins, bringing homemade Christmas pudding. They had fun with karaoke, playing in the snow and giving out presents.

Sometimes, Ice King would make it a party and kidnap some princesses to join him, which Finn and Marcy would always tell him not to and scold him for it. Though LSP would crash the party and try to make it about her before Gunter kicked her out.

When Marcy and Bonnie started talking again, she'd get invited to the party, but declined because: 1. she would have to go to the Ice Kingdom 2. she had work to do managing the Candy Kingdom even though she got extra help from the Businessmen.

So, one time they spent the holiday in the Candy Kingdom and Marceline sang All I want for Christmas to her.

Another time, when Jake was digging up Ice King's suitcase, Finn told him to make it quick and that he needs to get home to help his mom make pudding for Christmas.

Jake asked who Christmas was and, of course, Finn explained that it's a holiday and the stuff about it.

After Jake dug up the tapes, Finn recognized them and said it was none of their business and told him to leave them alone. Jake ignored him and told him he would come to the tree house for the Christmas thing (so he could watch the tapes behind his back with Bmo, thinking there might be some evil secrets on it).

That was the one year Ice King decided to come to the house to have the pudding.

Jake gets into some shenanigans keeping them distracted, but eventually they find out and fight for the tapes.

And that's when Bmo put in the last tape. Jake found out about Simon Petrikov, giving back the tapes and apologizing.

He asks if he could still party with them and because Ice King forgave him so easily, they let him.

Later on, some of the people of Ooo start celebrating the holidays their heroes celebrate.

Now, for New Years... I didn't really think of that much. (Sheepish shrug) Since they don't have a New Years countdown clock, they'd either spend it at home or go celebrate it out in the kingdoms.

Mama Marcy AU info here before you read below.

With Marceline as a mother, she would at first be a bit overprotective of Finn as he grows up.

With Ash, after hearing a rumor about his ex-girlfriend having a kid, he would spend a lot of time stalking the two.

Of course, when she finds out about this, she was originally planning on ending Ash right then and there, but she didn't want Finn to be traumatized and see her as a monster. She didn't want to leave him unsupervised in the house so she could deal with Ash either.

So, she flies to PB with Finn, telling her about her situation. Of course, PB would ask why she couldn't handle it herself.

Still, she would try to file a restraining order against Ash for stalking.

When that didn't work, Marceline, knowing that the restraining order was never going to work, would decide to confront Ash personally. She would apologize for dumping her Ash problem to PB and asks her to protect Finn while she's gone.

When Marcy confronts Ash outside the kingdom, she would ask "What are you even doing here, Ash?"

Ash would tell her about hearing the rumors about her having a kid, a mortal.

He would tell her, "I just don't get why you would tie yourself down to something that's not going to live like we do."

She would, of course get aggravated when he called Finn a thing. Ash would insult Finn some more until Marcy starts a fight with him.

She would then transform into something horrific, "Haven't you ruined my life enough already?!"

Before she could attack again, Ash would desperately use the sleep spell on her and fly to the castle to take Finn.

PB's weapons would surprise him, but Ash would be able to get him and fly off with a spell.

She and Pep But would find Marcy and wake her up and tell her what happened. At first, she would get angry of PB's inability to protect him, but she would remember Finn being her main priority. She would know Ash would take her son to his shack and flies off in a hurry alone.

Ash, not knowing what to do with the boy, would have him tied to a chair.

He would pace around the room, internally scolding himself for not thinking this through.

Finn would taunt him, saying his mom won't be happy. This would provoke his captor, asking "What would you know?! You're just some mortal she keeps around for kicks!"

This would go on for a little bit more before Marceline kicks down the door, throws Ash across the room and untying Finn, who was crying for her.

She would hug her son, comforting him before carrying him out of the shack.

Ash, recovering, would run out to stop her, but he ends up receiving a mother's scary face, which accidentally scares Finn too.

She would firmly demand that he'll leave them alone and stay out of their lives, promising that she'll do what it takes to protect him.

And then they never saw him again.

Mama Marcy AU

An AU where Marceline was the one who found Baby Finn decided to adopt and raise him as her son like how Simon raised her.

She would sing Everything Stays to him, go on adventures with him, even let him borrow her bass and give him lessons.

It would be hard and stressful for her to raise him, but it would be worth it with help from thinking about what Simon would do and baby books she got from the library.

She would grow to love him as a loving mother, often calling him "Sweetie" or "Beautiful Baby Boy" as Finn would always call her "Mom" (which she loves to hear).

Finn would sometimes ask to be a vampire like his mom, but she would always refuse since she herself never wanted to be a vampire in the first place and she didn't want him to lose his humanity.

Jake would, of course, be Finn's bestie instead of his brother in this AU. Jake would still be a thief until Finn catches him and tell him how wrong stealing is before PB locks him up.

Because of Finn, Jake would reform himself into a better person and would often do community service for the Candy Kingdom. Even when his old team would try to break him out, he would refuse and threaten to call the guards. And sometimes, he did.

Also, Finn wouldn't have that crush on PB like in canon. Instead, he would kind of see her as his aunt or something due to knowing about her being his mom's ex.

Ice King would still be napping princesses, but Finn would always get them out and hang out to bond with "Grampa Simon" afterwards.

(Now, I thought about just giving Finn red clothes, but then I thought it'd just be a basic, lazy recolour. So, I gave him a hoodie, pants and boots.)

(For Marcy, I gave her short Marshall Lee hair to make her look motherly and responsible. Also, I mostly thought about how frustrating long hair can be when raising a kid.)
