Let's talk about Charlotte and Cordelia.

Our beloved lesbians from next door. They are both so underappreciated and easily overlooked as characters in Falsettos.

Charlotte is such an important character. Her role in the story as Marvin's friend, Cordelia's girlfriend and a doctor is essential to the story. A great quote from her is "for the first time in years, nobody died" because after that, Charlotte is surrounded by the death of Whizzer.

Cordelia is also such an important character who is overlooked and boiled down to a lesbian from next door. She is an aspiring chef and she loves Charlotte. Her food improves throughout the second act but everything else seems to be going downhill.

This is actually mainly about Edward the more I realise it but half way through I was like “yeah this sounds like a couple other characters too”
