Meringue cookie, did Gingerbrave and his friends ever told you about an enraged version of cake witch
Tumblr media
I haven't faced off against one in its enraged state before, but that thing was powerful enough on its own...facing it while it's in a frenzy seems like a challenge I'd rather avoid.

Meri, ever wonder about the sugar flare being replicated
Tumblr media
I still feel bad about letting him get kidnapped the day she was baked, but I didn't think he'd accept it and start using all the research we accumulated for Dark Enchantress Cookie's purposes. He wasn't able to replicate the Sugar Flare, thank goodness, but he still turned over valuable info to our foe...because of me.

Y'all know I gotta add one more little snippet to really draw the story to a close. (Also I just wanted an excuse to whip out Meringue Cookie again, two days after her birthday!)
The short epilogue to this little side story consists of Meringue Cookie reading a letter from her daughters explaining the events at Cuckoo Town Square and the reactions from her party! And yes, we get a little more detail as to why she's thinking of retirement. Hopefully, I properly illustrated the moral of today's story: that big changes in family life aren't always bad!

WELP, that was over quick. But hey, at least we got some good character development in! We LIVE for the character development!
So here's the final part of Secret of the Sugar Flare: Marzi vs the Town Tart! When Marzipan Blossom Cookie mourns the consequences of her actions, she receives help from a Cookie in the shadows of the alley and learns how to put her delegative nature to work...by placing her trust in others.

Snuck in a few relationship headcanon easter eggs, so if you find out which one it is, congrats to you! But anyways, MORE DRAMA FOR ALL!
Sorry it took a bit, but here's the next part of Secret of the Sugar Flare: Marzi vs the Town Tart! While attempting to find Caramel Choux Cookie's weak point and failing, Marzipan Blossom Cookie gets a little too desperate and loses sight of her goal, to the point where she trusts the wrong crowd and turns the Cuckoo Town Square upside down.

APRIL FOOLS! I WAS planning a new side story for the new update all along! (No, I'm just kidding, actually, there's no April Fools joke, I just happened to finish the first part on the same day 😅. But hey, at least you guys got rewarded with new content instead of a prank on my end!)
Anyways, here's the all-new Secret of the Sugar Flare side story: Marzi vs the Town Tart! While Meringue Cookie is away on the expedition to Beast-Yeast, her daughters and students are left with the responsibility of helping manage her duties in her absence! However, on a delegation-disguised vacation to Cuckoo Town Square, trouble stirs in the shadows...
So yeah, with the release of the new Cookie, I noticed they had some particular character traits that could make for a really interesting story! (Of course, it includes some plot points that haven't been written into Book III yet, but if you read up on the wiki, you'll understand what's going on, if you don't mind the spoilers.) Also, you get sneak peeks of some new redesigns I've been working on! Win-win!

I can't find anything on the wiki or on your blog, but can Meringue see physical wounds on other Cookies?
And is the healing part of the Sugar Flare still an arcane, unknown type of magic or is it something like light magic (similar to PV)?
thx in advance
Tumblr media
Ah, an excellent question! Allow me to explain:
As Meri cannot see a Cookie's body, she can therefore not see the PHYSICAL damage of any inflicted wounds. However, she CAN see the damage it inflicts on their aura and is able to tell how severe it is in terms of permanent damage or even how likely it is to cause death. The same, however, does not go for illnesses and curses and whatnot, unless specifically channeled by the Sugar Flare.
And yes, the Sugar Flare's healing aura, while still an unknown type, shares similarities to PV's own white magic, plainly from a result of containing his genetics. The same goes for WL and her own magic. However, instead of simply inheriting their magic, it acts as a sort of booster or variant to the unknown magic within the Sugar Flare.

Where did you get the idea for meringue eyes just to be flowers?
I actually got the idea from Meri's second character reference: FlowerFell!Frisk, who as you all know, ALSO has flowers for eyes, but the only difference is that a flower grows on them every single time they die during a pacifist run, while Meri is born with hers.
Tumblr media
I felt like since FlowerFell!Frisk remains a pacifist despite suffering each time is what I wanted for Meri's character: someone who'd go to hell and back for everyone, including those who fear and even hate her for being born different, despite her getting knocked down by them over and over again, the reason being is because she wants to to represent Earthbread as a place worth living on in freedom for all creatures, no matter how far they differentiate from the norm.

Meringue cookie have you finally realized that White Lily cookie was not trying to gain power but to help earthbread and you
Tumblr media
There was never a final realization when this was what I knew from the start. I know I'm putting all my effort into standing against Dark Enchantress Cookie, but that doesn't mean I don't understand why she believed she had to do it.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come up with the Sugar Flare?
So you know how I mentioned here and there that Meringue Cookie's character was based off of the Pokémon, Shaymin? Well, as it turns out, the Sugar Flare was inspired by that particular Pokémon's main power move too. What a Shaymin does is absorb contaminated or polluted air into its body, purifies it, then expels it in a blast of light and water, typically called Seed Flare.
Tumblr media
Meringue Cookie pulls off a similar move as well, absorbing dark energy and purifying it by using the unidentified magic fueling her own body, and expelling it in a blast of light, sugar, and energy, the attack typically known as the Sugar Flare.
Tumblr media
However, the Sugar Flare has a gentler form that Meringue Cookie is still attempting to master, and even that's based off of another Shaymin move known as Aromatherapy. Here, the Pokemon emanates a healing aura that envelops the patient with purifying waves that heal any injuries or illnesses. Meringue Cookie essentially does the same thing, though it's merely considered another form of the Sugar Flare that's less violent and destructive and more healing.

What do cérem cheese cookie biological parents look like?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My friends, say hello to Pasteurized Cream Cookie and Domiati Cheese Cookie, the biological parents of Créme Cheese Cookie! (And no, that name's not a typo, I'll explain what that's all about when her redesign releases)
Domiati Cheese Cookie is the granddaughter of Golden Cheese Cookie and the only Cookie who managed to escape the destruction of the Golden Cheese Kingdom. She worked as a maid for House Mille-feuille and eventually baked a daughter of her own, who she left in the care of House Mille-feuille before her wounds from the Dark Flour War caught up with her.
Pasteurized Cream Cookie is the top researcher and writer of the magical tomes concerning Dessert Magic, and an independent traveling merchant who sells their own books. They were once running to be Headmaster of the Parfaedia Institute of Magic, but quit and had plans to return to their homeland before hearing of its apparent destruction and retreating to the Republic instead to start fresh.
Unfortunately, these two met their fate shortly after their child was born, with Domiati Cheese Cookie's injuries catching up with her and Pasteurized Cream Cookie getting murdered by the White Masks after discovering their daughter was in the hands of a cult, but not to worry! Their precious (and clever) baby girl lives on under the care of a promising emissary and a charming consul!

So, Meringue cookie, what was your reaction to finding out that the ancients weren't the first to have the soul jam and tell me how was meeting shadow milk cookie what do you think of him?
Tumblr media
Everyone says I'm lucky, because since I'm the first and only user of my Soul Jam, there's no Beast Cookie predecessor to manipulate me, but that just makes me worry...is it because I'm destined to be that same villain? Am I really to become the "White Beast" the St. Pastry Order prophesized all that time ago? As for the leader of them all, I wish I had all the words to describe what Shadow Milk Cookie was like, but there was just so much going on about that guy, too much to explain right away.
(Once again, can't say a lot due to spoilers, but trust me, Meri is taken for a RIDE.)

The beasts cookies are coming beware of them Meringue cookie for these cookies are basically like gods and this time the Ancients will be powerless to stop or maybe not if they can fight back against them but please be careful when you see them they are stronger than you can ever Imagine prepare yourself to fight them for this will not be You'll hear from them good luck in the war you going to need it
Tumblr media
Sorry if this one is vague, but the Beast-Yeast storyline is gonna show up in Book III, so I can't reveal too much about it in worries of spoilers, especially regarding the Beast Cookies.

I just gotta know. What was Meringue cookie reaction to seeing her mother, her real mother, in that coffin basically dead but not really
Tumblr media
So yeah, you guys finally get a semi-proper visual of the world through Meri's eyes! (flowers??) I might not have done the best job at making an artist's rendition of it, but anything inorganic shows up as black in her world and she can see the inner auras of all living things: plants, animals, magic, Cookies, all that.

meringue cookie, I'm going straight to the point. Can light and dark merge together.
Tumblr media
In short, as the moon has both a light and dark side, yes, it can be merged together, but one must have INCREDIBLE power to be able to wield both in harmony.
(Fun fact: the Sugar Flare doesn't fall into any of these arcane types of magic, which is what makes it so unpredictable and unidentifiable)
