First College student with Down Syndrome!!!

Accepting those with a special needs is way better than not accepting them at all, they want to feel safe and know they love and accepted by everyone that’s around them , let’s show kindness to them and treat them like their your own siblings.

Don’t count them out because their different , Don’t treat them like their notting because their humans just like you . Treat them with respect just the way you treat someone that don’t have a disability. Those with Down Syndrome get look over a lot and talk bad about do to their disability but never get a chance to be the person they saw themselves been in this life .

What a perfect time to spend quality time with your kids and family is now, kids with Down Syndrome are like any kind of child feel down and alone when their families don’t have anytime to spend with them , doing this lockdown we all in , this is a wonderful time to be their for them even when they self esteem is not their best like it used too, hug them , play with them do whatever you could to make memerable memories of their childhood but don’t ever stop loving on them .

I work with delayed children.

I work with babies who aren’t “typical.”

I spend my day with babies who are on the autism spectrum, babies with Down syndrome, babies with cerebral palsy, and babies who are a year old but since they were born at 23 weeks they function as a 7 month-old.

I have babies on my caseload who were born at 23, 24, and 25 weeks gestation.

I have babies on my caseload whose parents grieved them when they were born because they are atypical.

I have seen it all in my field- all the disabilities, impairments, delays- and I have not ONCE met a child who is unhappy.

Stop saying it’s humane to abort atypical babies due to a condition discovered before birth. I am SICK of our ableist culture pretending to praise and admire people with disabilities who have successful lives while saying we should kill babies with the exact same disabilities to “spare them.”

I am so sick and angry with our world. Jesus, help us.

I’m tired of hearing people tearing down those with Down Syndrome like they have no feelings , bullying is real, if we keep letting people tear down and make fun of those with Down Syndrome then they will never get the respect they deserve in this life .

Down Syndrome is only a title and we must not let that title control how you or your kids define the person they are , you or they are not defind on that word, you are created to success , you was created to be who you see yourself been , their is destiny to fulfil and a purpose that look brighter than before .

Believe in your child never give up on them , when they feel like giving up show them that you believe in them .

Everybody need a cheerleader like this woman who believe in you and cheer you on , she must be their coach mom .

Stay away on calling a child with Down Syndrome and disability Retarded , please remember they have feelings as well , I hear people used that word all the time and don’t realize they have feelings and they get confused and upset when someone make fun of how they act or speak . Please show kindness and treat them with respect matter fact , bullying is wrong.
