imo if the creator is actually doing shitty things I would leave them out...but maybe also make a list of like. things you will not accept characters from, if you do that, so people know not to submit them?

I think it really depends on who the creator is and what makes them a POS. If it's something like they're rich enough to sway politics like Joanne Rowling, or if they've been outed for being a major creep like yandev, or they have enough of a platform that they can sway their fans into behaving certain ways, then it'd be best not to include their characters if possible.
If it's something as petty as fandom level drama of "this creator ships X ship and that's gross" or "this creator ships Y ships and that makes them racist", then it's up to you if you include them or not.
Yeah it's one of the former, where the creator is actually doing shitty things instead of having certain opinions.

So, y'all. I got a submission for a character whose creator is, well. I don't wanna name names, but has a track record for being a bigoted POS.
I know people like to reclaim these characters and a good majority of folks like these characters without supporting the creator bullshit, but I also know a lot of people are hurt by the things creators like this one do.
