Werewolf Subspecies: Greece/Golden Jackal

Ortho has since lost his original body to his death on the Island of Woe and, because of that, his ability to transform and access his werewolf abilities were also lost. At least, that was the original thought, until after Ortho's body and soul were returned to the physical plane along with his status as a werewolf. However, he still uses his old, robotic parts as support since his muscles have atrophied and his immune system isn't what it used to be. Even though his wolf form is far sturdier than his human body, he still needs regular breaks and lots of rest.

Despite this, Ortho finds the most freedom and feels the most alive when he's running around on four legs. To him, it feels far more natural compared to the metal and wires that make up his dorm in Ignihyde. Although it's probably not the healthiest coping mechanism, he tries his best to live as his wolfish alter-ego as often as he can. He regularly does physical therapy to build up and restore his muscles to how they used to be as he hates being the weakest of the group, even though the Ramshackle Pack has expressed they don't mind taking things slower in order to accomodate their friend. Despite, probably, being older than he looks, the First Years have designated Ortho as the "puppy" of their pack.

Azurido but they're written by yana toboso where azul falls asleep on riddle's shoulder after a battle and riddle smiles softly and Azul keeps wanting to prove himself to riddle as an academic rival and often tries to get close to riddle... and they open up to each other about their pasts a bit and encourage each-other teehee imagine how crazy that would be

I feel like Azul would be the type to see someone flirt with Riddle once and it would stay stuck in his head until it turns into a big deal. And Riddle would be the more reactive type. Jokingly, I've thought of drawing Riddle with Jamil as "I saw you talking to my boyfriend/Your boyfriend was talking to ME." kind of.

azurido mutually jealous. if you want to stretch it we can add in a sprinkle of more uhhh (I forgor the word IM SORRY 💀) stuff in there...Hell. maybe only the beastmen notice Azul keeps giving him things like his hat. So he smells like him or whatever.

Also, at dorm leader meetings. Leona is stuck between them. Hell, I say.

I do like the idea of them being a rather messy relationship (especially in the beginning) because this is AZUL, who calls his friends business partners and RIDDLE, who's still figuring out what healthy relationships are. Spats, and jealousy mostly stems from a lack of trust in your partner... and NRC... well...

yeah, maybe we should look into that 'therapy' you mentioned... whatever that is...

I thought Deuce was making those cauldrons out of magic. You're telling me that everytime he summons a cauldron, he's being stealing cauldrons from random people?! Does he summon the closest one? Does Deuce resummon the same one or does he get a new one every time? Has he ever taken one in use? Has a Potionology student ever just had their cauldron just vanish in the middle of a lesson? Does Crewel ever see one disappear and go "Oh there he goes again."? Do the cauldrons just stay where he left them and never return to their original owners? This is his go-to spell. Is Deuce single-handedly causing a cauldron shortage in Twisted Wonderland? Does he just have all the cauldrons now? This is why Azul took his Cauldron spell, he could short the cauldron market and create a cauldron monopoly!

Now all I can think about is all the people missing their cauldrons now. Cauldron Deuce INDEED!

And the electrified pool incident continues (ik electric eels are of fresh water and not the ocean, but I already drew it. So. I have no canonical explanation for that I did it for the joke)

Taking a second look I'm starting to think their outfits are too simple, but first and foremost I wanted to do something fun for the looks of their primary features. I took inspiration from Luca (probably one of my favorite movies ever so I couldn't help but reference it here too lol) for the eye catching merform designs! Considering they're canonically sea monsters anyway, I didn't want to just insert their og designs here, so in this au they're more like in between their og merforms and human forms, also with their color pallettes are more similar to what flotsam and jetsam looked like in the little mermaid movie imo I wanted them to essentially wear the same thing despite the contrasting personalities, and technically most of the time they're walking around the school they're simultaneously working for Azul, looking for students to make deals with happens in this universe too (fortunately for them and unfortunatelyfor others), so an outfit more inclined to formal would be ideal to cause a good impression on their business, or as good as they can make it anyway. Nobody can contain Floyd though, if he has to wear an uniform he is going to stylize it.

Keeping it short this time, I don't wanna keep it on my drafts to add more notes later and postpone this more than I already have 💀 if I remember more facts about the AU twins I'll share them later!

Also, I was thinking of making a tag for asks related to this AU and I think I'll name it #.phantom asks to follow the AU theme lol but now I have to edit previous asks to insert this tag so wish me luck
