I want to draw Ed and Stede in different universes, and I love the anime Soul Eater and think the weapon/meister concept is so cool to play around with. But I'm having trouble deciding who should be what. I'm thinking Ed and Stede would be partners, but I don't know who would be the weapon and who the meister. Or maybe they could both be meisters, but then who would Stede's weapon be? Here are my ideas:
So if Stede is the meister and Ed is the weapon, maybe Izzy is Ed's meister but then Stede comes along and wins Ed's heart so Stede becomes Ed's meister instead. Which angers Izzy obviously. And Stede would probably be terrible at fighting but Ed teaches him how to wield his weapon form and the two grow closer, etc etc. Or Izzy could help train Stede. (I'm leaning towards this configuration the most)
And if Stede is a weapon, Izzy would be Ed's weapon but then Stede comes along and also steals Ed away 😆 Izzy is again angry and feels like Stede took his partner, so we get the mad Izzy side of things lol. So Ed would teach Stede how to be a better weapon, you could also have Izzy begrudgingly teaching Stede about how to be Ed's partner.
And then if Ed and Stede are both meisters, Ed would be Izzy's partner and Stede would have one of the crew as his weapon. Maybe Buttons? First mate idea, and all that. Or Lucius? Idk honestly

I think the thing I was looking forward to the most about Season 3 was just seeing Ed and Stede be a couple. Uninterrupted. No torture, no regretful nights, no running off to be a fisherman. I just wanted to see them be left alone. Even if it was just for a single episode! And we would have gotten that, I think. I wanted to see casual PDA and loving looks, things that we got in both seasons but they would be different because Stede and Ed are actually, really, officially together. They're boyfriends! I'll miss that just as much as seeing their proposal and wedding. Just feeling sad today.
I really hope we'll be able to see all this in the future. I'm willing to be patient for the right time 😊

What can I say crew, other than this sucks. I still have a sliver of hope that David will be able to bring the pirates back in one form or another someday, but until then, I'm feeling pretty down about what happened. I just wanted some domestic Ed and Stede and a Gentlebeard wedding, man. That's it 😭
With all that said, would anyone still be interested in OFMD enamel pins? I have a few designs that I thought would be cute besides my little mermen. It would be nice to know if anyone would still want to buy even though the show is over.
Also rest assured, I'm not going to stop drawing my boys for a long while! I may even dip into the Taika/Rhysiverse and draw some of the other pairings (Vianton, Freemanji, etc 😆)

I keep seeing people saying that "Altruist" is Alastor's canon last name. Since in Episode 8 he sang "Alastor Altruist died for his friends, sorry but that's not where this ends" (paraphrasing).
An altruist is someone who thinks of others before themselves, who puts others' well-being before their own. Alastor, in my opinion based on context and how English works, wasn't saying that "Altruist" was his last name, he was naming himself sarcastically, giving himself a title, so to speak. He meant that Alastor "Altruist" would be the one who died protecting his friends, the one that would be remembered in stories and whatnot. He's saying this line incredulously (like it's unbelieveable, a joke). Alastor is so annoyed and frustrated when he says this because he's never cared about others like that before and he thinks he had a bit of a lapse in judgement, hence why him calling himself "Altruist" is supposed to be taken as IRONIC. He's not an altruist by nature, but he acted like one fighting Adam. Our asexual cannibal deer boy is a lot of things, but an altruist isn't one of them. At least not yet!
Also, think about it for just a second, why in the world would "Altruist" be his last name? If he has a last name that'll be revealed, it wouldn't be that.
The wiki was even changed to say Altruist is his last name. It's NOT. Or at least I don't think it was meant to be. Some of the confusion is from "Altruist" being capitalized. But that's just what you do when you're saying a formal title, whether or not the title comes before or after the person's name. It's a moniker meant to be said together, which is why both Alastor's name and the "descriptor" he uses is capitalized. Take Alexander the Great, for example. Same sort of thing! I get how it can be confusing, but that's why! I definitely think that Amazon should have changed the subtitles to be "Great Alastor, altruist" to eliminate confusion!
I really hope Vivzie or a voice actor clears this up one way or the other lol. People just take things at face value sometimes, or they are confused and don't quite understand what things mean, which is fine. I mean I could be wrong about the whole thing, but context and my understanding of the English language tells me I'm not. What do you all think?

The only reason I'm hesitant to think that there won't be an actual death is because of that damn door clip man 😭 What is the context of that?? I'm scared for Thursday tbh
So I've been seeing the possibility floating around that one of the main six is going to die (apparently Vivzie said so in a livestream or something?). So who does everyone think it'll be? I'm thinking either Angel or Vaggie. Not that I want anyone to die, but I feel like these two are the most likely?
So let's start with Angel. I feel like he's had the most death omens so far, with his "where would I go? Double Hell?" line from the pilot (not really necessarily canon but interesting to include), his Poison song, and the fact that he's the one who is actually changing, meaning he's the closest to redemption and therefore he has a target on his back. Then we have the shot of Charlie touching Angel's door in the trailer (we can also see her crying right after but I can't say for certain if the two shots are in the same location, so she could be crying for a completely unrelated reason). He will probably be the exterminators' main target in the next 2 episodes, which doesn't bode well for him. But my throy is that if he does die, it'll be in a sacrificial sort of way, like jumping in front of Husk or Charlie. Maybe this last selfless act, paired with his previous character development, will mean he is reborn as an angel after he dies, wings and all. Would be cool to see Angel become an actual angel! And maybe he could stay in Hell to help the crew with the hotel, since he would be real, tangible proof a sinner can be redeemed. Or maybe despite his angelic status he is forced to stay in Hell because of his contract with Val? The rebirth could also potentially break the contract, too. Idk how anything works I'm just spitballing lol
And then Vaggie of course has the baggage of being a former exterminator and she's said she'll be Charlie's armor, which points to a sacrificial death for her, as well.
But to be clear I don't want anyone to die permanently! I think if anyone is going to die that Vivzie really likes/is a super main character, they won't stay dead. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself. Leave your thoughts and theories in the coments/hashtags!

Oh yeah very possible! But I know that Huskerdust will be a thing, and they can't really be a couple if one of them is dead? So I don't know if Husk will stay gone. Or maybe they become a couple right before he dies (which would be really rushed and kinda messed up lol 😂)

Why are people being so nasty to the ofmd fandom over our renewal efforts? I just blocked a guy who reblogged a post about the Times Square billboard who said that he hopes every single member of the fandom gets SHOT??? Who the actual fuck says that? And he's supposed to be advocating AGAINST genocide?? You know telling thousands of innocent people just trying to keep something they love that they deserve to be murdered isn't really against the whole genocide idea... right?
I've seen tons of posts similar to this, too, especially regarding the billboard. And, look, I get it, there is a genocide going on right now. No one in this fandom is denying or downplaying that. The fandom itself has raised money for Palestine, and the leftover money from the Hoist the Ads campaign is going to various charities. I didn't personally donate any money to the billboard, but I'm not going to bash the people who did. We are allowed to care about multiple things at once. And we are allowed to be excited about trying to get a show renewed that brings us immense joy without being told we're idiots or we should die. People are allowed to put money into things that they think are "fun." I really hope no one writing any of these posts has bought anything other than necessities since the attacks started, because that would be pretty hypocritical. And all these posts about how the fandom sucks aren't really productive? They just make people block you. And, frankly, they make people sadder in an already sad time. How is that doing anyone any good, guys?
I know what my morals are. And I don't need a bunch of trolls making me feel like garbage for liking something. I wish people would take the time they put into writing nasty posts that target people who are just minding their business and put it into other things. We would all be better for it, I think.

Ok so what are the chances David Jenkins breaks all our hearts and ends Season 3 bittersweet like this:
Stede and Ed are both mortally wounded after the big final battle. They collapse against a wall next to each other.
Stede: "...Ed? Ed, I think..."
Ed: "Yeah, Stede. Yeah...me too."
Stede: "I'm not ready to go yet. I didnt... even get to say goodbye to the crew."
Ed: "I know. This...fuckin' sucks. But at least we showed that damn Ricky and the English what for, huh babe?"
Stede: "We sure did, darling."
Stede grabs Ed's hand and looks into his eyes. His eyes begin to well with tears and he chokes up.
Stede: "I'm gonna miss you, Ed. So much."
Ed's eyes become watery too. He squeezes Stede's hand.
Ed: "Yeah. I'll miss you too, Stede."
Stede sighs and coughs, a pained look on his face for a moment. He looks back at Ed.
Stede: "Do you think...we would find each other again? In the next life?"
Ed grins.
Ed: "Fuck yeah. Not a doubt in my mind. We'd find each other in every lifetime. Can't keep us apart. Not even in death."
Stede: "Not even in death."
They turn to each other and smile, slowly leaning in. They kiss one final time. Pulling apart, the two gaze into each other's eyes.
Stede: "I love you, Ed Teach."
Ed: "And I love you, Stede Bonnet. Until next time."
Stede and Ed lean against the wall again, hands still clasped. Stede smiles.
"Yeah. Until next time."
The crew finds them minutes later, having finished their own battles. Roach and Jim immediately kneel down to check for pulses, but are met with stillness. Fang carries Ed and Wee John carries Stede back to the Revenge. They sail to a cliff overlooking the sea and bury the captains. The last shot is of the graves with two makeshift headstones connected by Stede's black cravat. The graves overlook a lighthouse on a nearby shore, and the sun sets as the cravat blows in the wind. "High on a Rocky Ledge" by Moondog plays (as a parallel to Episode 1, also to reference that the graves are on an actual rocky ledge), and all fades to black.
The end credit scene would be Stede and Ed's meet-cute in modern times.
Soo yeah if the series ended this way I would NEVER RECOVER HAHA
I'm hoping that by putting this scenario out into the universe it won't happen like this and Stede and Ed will get the happy ending that they deserve 😤

INTEREST CHECK!
I'm thinking about making some ofmd merch of my own, and came up with some cute Mermaid Stede and Kraken Ed designs. Would anyone be interested in hard enamel pins of these guys? I'll probably make stickers too!
Stede would have gold metal and maybe a glittery tail and ears! And Ed would be silver metal.
The art isn't finalized but these are the rough ideas, plus the image is a bit grainy to try and avoid art theft lol, but if enough people seem interested I'll make a post later on with any updates!

Our Flag Means Death x Good Omens Crossover I did before Season 2 came out. What if Ed was a demon?
I imagine that Edward Teach's demon animal would be an octopus. I gave him octopus-like eyes and changed his tattoos. In this universe I imagine Ed used to be an angel named Esteriel, and after the Fall, he was sent up to Earth as its demon representative (the serpent of Eden does exist in this universe, but was replaced by Edward as Hell's represenative after the serpent failed their duties. Note that the serpent isn't Crowley, he doesn't exist in this universe. He's off being a notorious pirate in an alternate world. The angel of the eastern gate, who is not Aziraphale, and also not Stede, is the angel that Ed must "thwart." Ed finds it all monotonous after a while, though). Ed lives on a large house boat off the coast of New Zealand.
I haven't gotten around to drawing a Stede to go along with this piece, but I'll share some of his story for fun! I imagine he is an angel who hates his life in heaven and wants to live on Earth, see the world, have an adventure. So he sneaks away and is sort of "on the run" from Heaven. He meets Ed by chance one day and they form an unlikely bond.
