i have been avoiding dctwt like the plague. mainly bc fandomtwt scared me when i WAS participating in it
one of the things i've learned after joining the DC side of tumblr is that everyone on DC tumblr is insanely chill (in comparison to my past tumblr fandom spaces)
like i have made so many posts about the batfam and ive either gotten all very nice, very sweet responses, or very nice corrections. no venom, no nothing.
like what take do i have to make for people to spew hatred like the good ol days?

that is the coolest thing ever. i learn something new every day!
ok i really need everyone to be honest rn; is it not common to be able to hear when the tv's on? or like, the fridge? are those appliances silent to everyone else???
i've always been able to hear when people pull into our driveway before my family can, but i also have said the fridge was out AND BEEN RIGHT when my family didn't know. when my dad asked, i told him the high pitched shriek stopped, and he was like ".....?"
i saw a tiktok today that said that most people can't hear that noise, and that autistic people are some of the people who can. i was like "no. wait. ?????". so then i turned off the new tv i have which has a MUCH louder shriek and i relaxed. my dad came in and was like "is that a melodramatic sigh?" and i had to explain my tv's pitch is so much louder than the living room tv's pitch, and i was still adjusting. he just stared at me like ":|" for a few seconds then left.

i am having the weirdest movie experience of my life right now.
for context: i take a ~special herbal remedy~ to go to sleep most nights (insomnia), but i also tend to watch tv while folding laundry or doing other miscellaneous cleaning.
so there i was, in my room folding and putting away laundry while watching POTC, happy as a clam. i sit still for a moment to watch this scene, and i watch keira knightly fall into the water. the doubloon(?) does its heartbeat thing, and I SWEAR my heart beats so loud at the SAME TIME. but i think "it's probably the bass tho, right?" so i move on. then, like 10-20 minutes later, good ol lizzy is hiding in her closet, and the pirates come in and scratch at the wardrobe door. i SWEAR i hear a scratch on my door, so i freak. anyways i am sitting so still rn because i REFUSE to be ANYTHING other than the final girl in this horror movie scenario.
