Cloth Simulation in Blender
After finishing the modelling of the armchairs and sofa I spent some time revisiting ways of simulating cloth in Blender. Having already made curtains, I was fairly confident in making a draped blanket for the sofa. With so slight sculpting adjustments I was happy with the result and moved onto creating pillows.
For the pillows I followed this quick tutorial:
youtube
As shown in the clip, I made the pillows by creating a subdivided plane and extruded it. After applying the cloth modifier to it I turned the pressure up to 5.0 and disabled gravity to prevent the pillow from falling through my scene.
Here are the blanket and pillow results:

After creating the pillows I also sculpted them a bit for added realism by squishing them into the seating to indicate that someone would have been leaning against them.
For now I am happy enough with how these came out and will be using them as placeholders, but I still want to try using Marvelous Designer for cloth assets to see if I can achieve better results.

Have pretty much finished the model for my girlfriends. Its fully rigged up, though the texturing is just flat colors everywhere because I could not figure out a way to do shading that I liked.
Also it features several eye colors, and a posable cape! Here's just some random poses featuring an old buster sword and a Halo gun I did ages ago when trying out blender for the first time.
The coloring is a bit off though in the poses with the gun and sword, trying to figure out how to get them to look less dull color wise.

I’ve been out of the TTRPG community for some time now. I’m slowly getting back into it.
But I will say that @capacle sure does know how to write amazing games and supplements!!!
An oracle zine with 60+ results per page for any solo RPG
My Zine Month project is up! 🎲🎲
Tumblr media
Introducing 'Random Realities', an oracle zine for all your solo RPG needs!
Roll a d66, flip a page, or roll the dice inside the PDF (yup, that's right) and get 60+ oracle results on every page!
Here's a sample page of the zine.
Tumblr media
Envision worlds, quests, people, scenes, creatures, items, and more on a glance!
If you're familiar with oracle decks, it's the same principle, but in a convenient zine format.
The PDF comes with a function that allows you to click on the dice (or on the title of any category) and it takes you to another random page!
It's pretty magical!
If you are using the physical version, you can simply flip to a random page, or roll d66 and go to the corresponding page, following the dice results in the bottom right corner.
And it's all there, no need to flip through to find the right table for the right scenario.
Tumblr media
The results vary from more abstract words and terms open to interpretation, to more direct and guided results, combined with evocative icons to spark your imagination.
I drew from the 30+ games I've made to collect the most practical and evocative oracles I could devise.
My hope is that you can grab this zine and your favorite system, and jump to an adventure in no time.
If that's your jam, check out the campaign and spread the word! 💗

Red Rocks (simple Cel Shading) I learned (and still learning) how to use Blender and at least get comfortable with it by creating rocks and stones. I watched various tutorials on how to create low poly rocks and created them each way those videos taught. I learned how to use the overwhelming list of tools just from making rocks. If you're new to Blender or have always wanted to give Blender a shot but you just get so overwhelmed from all the icons and options, that's normal. Just create rocks. You will eventually feel comfortable with the tools and move on to bigger and better creations!
