Art card update: I got some good news last week! The printer's estimate for the greeting cards I'm making is less than expected. I'm combining orders with another artist, and our combined order put us at a less expensive cost per card. Yay!! On my Ko-fi page, I set a goal to help cover printing costs. This print is decked out with intricate paper picado, streamers, lots of flowers, and lovingly depicted portraits of the dearly departed. Mariposa and a host of friends pose for their portrait while monarchs alight and jellybean bears nose about. It seems someone went nuts with the confettii again. Oops! I lavished this one with detail, I hope you’ll love it at least half as much as I enjoyed painting it. It’s deep layered blues and greens make me want to revisit that color palette sometime soon…hopefully. Also! My show “Awkward Amalgamation” is on display through July 17th!
