Hey everyone!

As some of you may know, “Ghost on the Roof” made its debut on Webtoon Canvas a year and a half ago, and last year they reached out to me to become a Webtoon Originals!

Since then, the comic went on preproduction for a relaunch and it will be making its return on Webtoon, March 10th at 5 pm PST !

Sadly, that means this version on Tumblr will be deleted. I wanted to thank all of my faithful tumblr readers since this is the platform I started posting Ghost on the Roof on, and none of this would have been possible without your support. From the bottom of my heart : Thank you!!!!

Oh. My. Word! I absolutely adore A Ghost on the Roof! It's incredible! The artwork (especially the way you portray singing), the plot (I'm so curious about what happened in the audition!), the characterisation (Erik in particular)... Everything! It's truly amazing. A Ghost on the Roof is actually my first lengthy comic, so I get to experiment a lot with it and I’m having much fun doing so! I’m always fond of looking back at earlier pages to see the ideas I had and the progress I made, and I’m glad I get to take all of you readers on this journey with me! These characters have kind of become my own now despite originating from Phantom of the Opera, and I’m very attached to their characterization, so it makes me happy to hear that you do like them!

For those who had the unfortunate experience of having your favorite webcomic not updated anymore, I can assure you I intend to keep going and finish this one. My plan is clear and we are already 6 (almost 7) chapters in. Only ten more to go!

Question about Ghost on the Roof: I’ve noticed in a lot of drawings, Christine has a little black domino logo on her clothes. Is that a little throwback to her masquerade costume in the book? Or is there different significance that we will learn about in due time? (I’m loving the comic so far!)

It was at first just a reference to her black domino outfit in the book and then...

I'm loving your webcomic so far! I only have one thought: could you add in links to the beginning, the previous, and next page? For continuity, I'm one of those people who like to bookmark the pages on my web browser, and it adds a bit of functionality for any new readers coming into it (no diving into archives!) Wonderful work otherwise!

I dreaded this day would come :’) I was going to do it from the beginning and then got very lazy... I guess that’s what I get from procrastinating 🤷‍♀️

Sure I’ll do that! Now that we’re 2 chapters into it, it’s about time before I get drowned into it. Sorry new readers, but don’t worry, it’ll be fixed during this week!

Your Erik is already a fave. Some portrayals make him too soft or too i n t e n s e and yours seems like he has a balance of both already. I AM EXCITE

I’m glad that you’re excited about my Erik!

I hope you will not be disappointed with him in the future, because one thing must be taken into account with this version of the character (that i know can become a heated debate lol) : he’s significantly younger than his other versions, and this has an impact on his characterisation, as well as the transposition in the modern world.

I wanted to explore an Erik that was a little different from the usual and this is what I came up with, I hope that you will still find him somewhat interesting ! (That applies to all my main characters haha)

Erik's headcanons - Raoul headcanons

Hi !! Just wanted to say that I your comics ! I'm also new to the story and the world of opera. Started from discovering the game from MazM as one of their works is all about the Phantom ! It's a nice experience to see a lot of different versions from the work of Gaston Leroux! 💗

Aaaah thank you so much that's amazing!!!! (I need to play this game so bad)

I think that's what is so great about Leroux's book, there are so many adaptations possible! From high romance to slasher, make it period accurate or not, so many possibilities and it still works
