As a queer Gen Z, I constantly think about how there’s such a huge chunk of the queer community that’s simply… missing. So much of the queer community died during AIDS that almost an entire generation of us is simply not there anymore.

Those queer people were supposed to be our teachers, our mentors, maybe even our parents or grandparents. Those queer people were supposed to be there for us. They were supposed to be at pride events, welcoming all the young queers. They were supposed to be representation in our careers. Those people were supposed to be there to help us navigate life as queer people, and it’s devastating for both us and them that they never got to do it.

Hello, Lovelies.

I want to be upfront with y'all: I'm struggling: physically, mentally, and financially. My mental health has been a flaming pile of garbage these past few months and my physical health isn't doing much better. I'm truly struggling to do what is expected of me: work, chores, personal care, and the like. I'm missing work because of chronic pain, fatigue, and newly discovered health issues, like carpal tunnel in both hands. I'm not keeping my apartment as tidy as I would like it to be. And I just got a letter from my apartment that I have until Monday, 12/11/23, to clean it to their standards or eviction could follow. And I am truly trying to stay on top of finances. I even made a budget... just to have it fall apart because of unexpected medical bills and getting my husband much needed health insurance. Between myself and my husband, we owe around 3k in medical expenses.

I hate begging for help, but I am on my knees begging y'all to help in any way you can. If you are in a financial spot to do so, please consider buying a reading, a spell, a sigil, or a devotional.
