You hated yourself for doing it to the both of you. The constant insults and threats of leaving.
It was breaking the both of you apart and none of you knew how to fix it. He pulled you closer. Tears slipping from his eyes. They plead with you. Anything to make you stay.
“W-we can fix this y/n. Please don’t let us go.”
It hurt your heart to hear him beg, but you had no room left to fight for anything. To clouded with depression and overwhelming thoughts.
“I’m sorry. I can’t.” You said before slipping from his grasp.

I had this in my drafts for months. I was going through a lot of Postpartum from my first child (I still haven’t recovered.) Me and my partner got into alot of overwhelming arguments, we almost lost our home, and it’s just been a wild ride and none of it was his fault. We just haven’t been able to spend time together, he works all day and I didn’t have a car so I was stuck in the house pregnant everyday and it didn’t help with my PPD.
I’ve had thoughts of just getting up and leaving everything behind and everyday my mind filled up to the brim with everything wrong in my life and it consumed me. It’s like I had no room for good thoughts and scenarios. Even some that had gotten quite dark.
This post is just a reminder to please check on mothers, new and old. It’s a silent battle that nobody really talks about and how INTENSE it could be.
I’m starting to feel better after having my son and now I have my car back. I’m eating again and I get dressed and show up for myself the best I can. Luckily I have an amazing partner who pushed through for our family and it has allowed me to slightly take a step in healing!
