This is my piece for the @yoisoulmatezine!
His fingers drop from his hair and slide over the skin above his left hipbone. On the previously unmarked expanse of skin, there is a web of dark lines, connecting to form a geometric outline of a bear.
A soulmark. Yuri furrows his brow. He has a fucking soulmark, and it sure as hell wasn’t there when he showered before work. Which means the person the universe considers predestined for Yuri was at the venue tonight, prompting the emergence of the mark.
Yuri frowns at the bear adorning his hip. He doesn’t subscribe to the concept of soulmates. It’s complete bullshit that someone else gets to decide who Yuri should be with.

It’s here! My @yoisoulmatezine piece! At last!
Summary:
Victor, Yuuri thinks, has a face made for kissing.
It’s the little moments: the times when Victor licks cream off his fingers, opting to send Yuuri a saucy wink rather than save the rest of his frozen treat even as it continues to melt and drip onto the pavement. It’s when he allows Yuuri’s mother to ramble on and on in a language he hardly understands, nodding intently as though he’s hanging on every word. It’s when he holds a hand to the small of Yuuri’s back and just… lets it stay there.
Yuuri would like to be like that: a hand forgotten, allowed to just be.
Then, perhaps, he wouldn’t be so terrified of the end.
(Or: In which all Yuuri wants to do is kiss Victor, but the universe itself stands in the way.)

This is my piece for @yoisoulmatezine! I collaborated with @skitschell for an amazing story, and I’m so happy to be able to post this for you. Please enjoy!
Viktor has heard prayers all his life, but never did he imagine that they belonged to Yuuri.
He tells Yuuri to pray to him every night, and Viktor will listen. Every night when Viktor goes to sleep, he hears Yuuri’s prayer for Viktor to be healthy, for the war to end quickly, and for Viktor to love him.
Oh, does Viktor love him. He tells Yuuri so every day, and each time, Yuuri looks at him with such a gaze that Viktor is left breathless. Who is he meant for, if not for Yuuri?
Viktor does not like to think of the war. He does his duty, and when he returns, he escapes to his garden where Yuuri waits. Often after a battle, Viktor will come and rest beside Yuuri in the soft earth, content to listen to Yuuri’s gentle humming as he takes care of Viktor’s roses.
