i wish more asexual characters & characters commonly headcanonned as asexual were more… mean lol, for lack of a better word. there’s a lot of characters who get hc’ed as asexual bc "they’re so innocent and sweet!" or "they’re awkward and shy" and even canon asexual characters are often kinda in the same vein.
i want more ace characters who are confident & serious & assertive & loud, who are proudly asexual. characters who are aroace and just sigh when someone tries to hit on them. characters who are asexual and sex repulsed, who clearly & definitively let their romantic interests know "we’re never gonna have sex, you have to decide if that’s a commitment you’re willing to make". asexual characters who are glad that they don’t feel sexual attraction, because it seems to make their friends do wild, ridiculous things. asexual characters who like going out and having fun and dressing for the occasion, and just aren’t interested in a hookup afterwards.
asexuality isn’t a personality trait. asexuality is not related to ideas of innocence or purity and honestly, it’s super fucking weird to act like it is. consider moving away from that very uncomfortable stereotype, thanks in advance.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

So here are the *not* Star Fleet people, Markus Dolly and Blazer
Markus is Mich’s adoptive son, and being housed on ship because the cardassians found out he was raised on earth— and want him *back*,
Blazer was taken as a prisoner by the Romulans after being the only survivor in an attack, they kept him alive because they knew that *destroyed* his sense of honor,
Luckily he met Dolly, a surprisingly kind child, and became a better father figure to her than her actual dad <3
Eventually things get dire and Dolly sends out a distress signal behind Blazer’s back, knowing he’d hate that— and they end up getting rescued by The Federation.
Next the lovely Bridge Officers,
Bajoran Commander Roberts Theo,
Human Captain Mich Teshome,
And Trill Chief of Security Baladin Nguyen
Theo wears his earring on the left, because he doesn’t practice Bajoran religion but still proudly considers xemself one of them
Funny thing: Markus is *terrified* of him (though it isn’t actually species related)
Theo makes an instant connection with Blazer and Dolly, being the one who trusts them the most at first and able to communicate the easiest (knowing sign language— as Blazer is still deaf)
Blazer asks him for advice on how to parent because as sweet as Dolly is, she gets herself into some serious shenanigans 😭
And then the other lovelies ❤️
Eddie is half Andorian, Elliot is human, Nestor is half Vulcan, and Payton is half Betazoid <3
Elliot is under Eddie, being in engineering, but Eddie gave him a whole new department (IT) because he cant do SHIT with a warp core
Also Payton BEGGED Mich to 1. Allow Eddie on board and 2. Let him wear his hat
