food for thought: our beloved kaeya teaching us how to ride a horse. chaos & typical kaeya flirtation ensues.
ive been thinking about kaeya a lot lately,,,,,
You never had a reason to learn how to ride a horse. Kaeya's supposed to lead a cavalry. It makes perfect sense for you to ask him to teach you how to ride as you watch him saddle up his horse. He'd promised to take you for a ride today and you didn't see why you couldn't be the one leading the horse around.
He thinks it'll be fun, smiling at you and helping you onto the horse. He was considering seeing if he could borrow another horse to take you with him but decides against it last minute. It'd be far more entertaining to be sitting behind you, arms around your waist as he tells you what he wants you to do.
You thought that it would be some light hearted fun with minor teasing from Kaeya. You understand that horses spook easily and you thought that he'd be nicer to you and actually focus on teaching you how to ride the horse safely. What you didn't know is that the horse Kaeya happened to care for was a very calm, unspookable creature. It wouldn't matter how much you squirmed - the mare was more than content to keep pace with whatever was being asked of her.
Kaeya fully takes advantage of this and leans into your back, resting his chin on your shoulder. Every time he asks you to do something he whispers into your ear, palm pressing against your stomach a little tighter to signal you to pay attention. You whine and keen, leaning into his touch but he doesn't care, secretly using his own legs to control the horse as yours are far too weak to be used properly.
When the two of you finally get back home you need his help to get off of the horse. Once you get off he keeps you in his arms, carrying you back home and teasing you for being so riled up that you didn't listen to a single one of his instructions. He promises that the two of you are going to spend more time working on your horse riding skills, giving you a smug smile at the way your cheeks heat up.

The two of them seem like a hot and cold combination but that's honestly a little refreshing. You know that if there are any conflicts between yourself and any other party that you can rely on the two of them to provide different opinions and points of view that help you develop your final decision on what to do. Splitting down the middle between their opinions tends to allow you to pick the most neutral option.
Al Haitham tends to be more solution oriented whereas Kaveh is more comfort oriented. Together, they're great at comforting you and helping you feel better but this also can lead to a lot of arguments at times. They'll never be any serious arguments - more just slight disagreements over how to approach a situation or about feeling slighted because of what the other person said. Usually, this is an issue between Kaveh and Al Haitham but you've gotten used to mediating for the two of them so you manage to help sort things out.
Their ideal partner would be someone who's able to see both their points of view and balance them out. The two of them can get kind of stuck in their own ways of thinking which is why having someone who stands in between helps even them out.
They both hate being in the middle when cuddling. Al Haitham doesn't like the way it feels like he's been compressed and Kaveh has a tendency to overheat which means you're always placed between the two of them at night or in cuddle piles. You don't mind though - they lay in such a way that you couldn't imagine being held in any other way.
Al Haitham has these moments where he gets really quiet watching you and Kaveh. Neither of you will ever notice but he's really just staring at you in muted disbelief. He never really thought he'd crave a romantic connection but seeing the two of you enjoying each other's company and knowing that somewhere, he fits into that puzzle with you makes him happier than he could ever voice.

Diluc/Al Haitham thought he was clear enough. He's made several comments about how he enjoys spending time with you and that he really enjoys your company. Hell, he spends half of his time at events when you're invited as well looking for you, then the other half staying with you.
It all comes to a head one day when he decides to ask you bluntly if there was a reason why you were ignoring him. He had no idea if it was because you simply were not interested in him or something else but when you start trying to evade the subject he realises that there's something else there. He's not sure how to broach the topic but considering how you try to avoid it he decides to just leave it.
It only takes you a few days to decide to try and talk to him again. You tell him what people have said and make an offhanded comment about how he wouldn't ever like someone like you which prompts him to immediately disagree and tell you that he is very much so interested in you. The shock on your face makes him rethink his words, worried that you misunderstood him. He confesses his feelings for you again, much more clearly this time and you still continue to look shocked.
When you tell him it's because you had no idea truly that he liked you he sighs. He tells you how he thought it was obvious with the way he acted, you having to tell him that you had no idea. He continues to tell you more, smiling a little at how you truly had no idea how he felt about you.
Childe decides to just go for it when he hears from someone else that you still didn't know that he's interested in you. You don't know what to do when one day, Childe simply appears in front of you and tells you point blank that he wants to ask you out, romantically. He's decided that since you haven't caught onto any other hints he's going to leave absolutely no room for you to doubt him.
This simply gives you even more room to simply raise your brow and ask him if he's thinking clearly. He tells you he is and that he wouldn't joke around like this and that he's dead serious. No matter how much you try to fight him on this matter he continues reiterating that he likes you and wants you to give him a chance. He only backs down if he thinks that he's making you uncomfortable, waiting for you to respond.
You decide that it would do you good to believe him, even if it seems too good to be true. To you, even the chance to be with him is better than nothing. He teases you further down the line when you confess that it took you several dates to actually believe that he did like you, holding you tightly and kissing your cheek affectionately.
Kaeya knows that a lot of people see him as just a flirt so he's not surprised when you behave in a way that makes it clear you don't see his intentions as they truly are. He wants to make you melt and call you his but he can't yet. He decides it'd be best to confess to you in private, wanting to do it in a way that perfectly encapsulates how he feels about you.
The confusion on your face just confuses him, Kaeya unsure if he just didn't make it clear enough. He tries again, telling you in other words how he feels and making it known that he really is trying to genuinely ask you out. You tell him that he must be joking and you're finding it difficult to believe, Kaeya telling you that no, he's serious and he really does want to be with you.
He decides to go all in, pulling you in and gently asking if you're okay with him kissing you to prove it. You nod dumbly, not expecting him to actually do it. When you feel him press his lips against yours gently, almost as though asking for permission again you simply melt into his arms. You feel him smile into the kiss, pulling you tighter against him as he whispers another confession into your mouth.
Kaveh loses his mind a little at how oblivious you are. He can't fathom how you haven't pieced it together yet, feeling as though he has been incredibly obvious about the way he feels about you. It ends with a slightly heated confrontation, you knowing that it's just because when Kaveh feels, he feels with all of him.
He asks you why you've been ignoring the clear signs that he wants to ask you out, not believing you when you tell him that you thought you simply were misreading his signs. He rolls his eyes at how silly that sounds, telling you that he wasn't trying to misguide you or anything. He means it right now when he tells you that he likes you and he was being very clear with his signs whenever he's around you.
This leads to you re-evaluating practically every interaction you've ever had with him, slowly figuring out that he's right - there's really no other way you could read them. He laughs a little, affectionately exhausted at all the metaphorical hoops he had to jump through to get you to understand. You're still a little lost, Kaveh continuing to explain that he's serious and this isn't a prank.

Genuine question, but what are we striking? What should I avoid doing on the 11th? Cus all the sources I looked up are telling me different things and I don't want to fuck it up. Does a total strike just mean, like everything? Should I avoid going online? I'm confused and you seem to understand it more than I do at least orz
The information I am about to relate is posted on instagram by esralshikh. Bisan shared her post on her story as well.
This is a very fast and furious strike and I personally only heard about it an hour ago so more information might come out later.
But, from what I understand, this strike is where we as citizens of the world do our best to grind the functions of the world to a halt in protest of what is going on in Gaza. Because the only thing that gets the attention of western world leaders is money.
Specific things listed to target during the strike are: the use of banks, trade, transportation or any kind, schools and universities.
But Esralshikh’s post also says “it is necessary to paralyze the movement of life and the economic wheel in all countries so that everyone feels that [they] are directly affected by the impact of the aggression in Gaza”
So with that in mind try to avoid everything you can that powers the economy. Skip school if you can, No buying, no streaming, no watching things with ad revenue, no transport or use of gas, nothing.
As far as staying offline, I will be using my online time to continue to learn about and spread awareness of what is happening with Palestine. I will refrain from using it in any other way that day. But we all need to stay informed about what is going on.
The reason I am not posting my own fic’s regular update on Monday is because Ao3 recently harassed a volunteer who out “from the river to the sea” on their Slack stats . They do not deserve any attention on a day we are focusing on striking for Palestine. So I will be withholding the next update for that reason. I would rather people be reading how how to help Palestine Monday rather than a fanfiction I created.

Childe wasn't expecting for you to want more than just something casual with him. The two of you were friends and that's all he thought he was willing to offer until you confessed your feelings for him and he decided to take a risk and say yes.
You made him happier than he thought someone could, knowing that he didn't exactly have a normal life but you never minded and loved him in spite of it. He knows that your friends are concerned for you, telling you that maybe you should find someone else to be with that won't be risking his life every time he goes outside and honestly, a part of him agrees. He loves you enough to know that he'd hate to see you sad because he was mia/kia but a more selfish part of him wants you to stay.
He overhears you telling them that none of that matters to you one day. You asked him to come meet you after you were hanging out with your friends and he happened to arrive a little early, handing off to the side as you tell them none of that matters to you and that you know he'd never do anything to hurt you on purpose. Your friends seem a little skeptical but you simply roll your eyes, looking for him and grinning when you see him standing there.
You ask him why he's holding you tightly, no malice in your voice and are promptly kept quiet with the press of his lips against yours. He doesn't say much before the two of you walk off, quietly replaying your interaction with your friends in his head and thanking you for loving him.
Kaeya knows that there are lots of rumors about him that fly around and he never lets them bother him because he knows that most of the time they aren't true. Some things are exaggerated from fact but ultimately, it's not the end of the world to him what people seem to think of him.
The only time it matters to him is when he's thinking about what you think of him. You've told him time and time again that you love him and that nothing anybody says could ever change your mind but he can't help but hesitate every once in a while. He wonders if there really is nothing he could do to change your mind but he doesn't want to test that either.
One day he asks you point blank if you really want to stay with him. He started hearing a lot more today for some reason and some of the comments were beginning to crawl under his skin. You reassure him again that there's nothing he could do that would change your mind, holding his face and kissing his forehead. You can't help but laugh a little at the fact that he looks like a kicked puppy, crawling into his lap to continue to give him some more reassurances.
It takes a while but when you're cuddled up in bed with his head on your chest you know that you've quelled his anxieties for now. Kaeya's favourite place to be is always in your arms, holding you tightly as he allows his walls to all come down so he can bathe in the warmth of your love.
Al Haitham doesn't ever mind what people say about him. He knows opinions are just opinions and they're not always based in fact so whatever people say about him is simply not important. You know he's also very secure in his self image so you've never felt the need to reassure him or worry about him being insecure.
Sometimes, you tell him what people are saying about him. Even though he doesn't care he can't help but be curious on occasion. He knows that objectively, being told that he probably doesn't care much for his partner and is only focused on his research.
You tell him you know that it's not true and he nods absently, running the words over and trying to think if there really is something that he should be doing something about it. When he looks up and sees you've left he tries to find you, seeing that you've simply gone to do whatever you normally would with your evening at home with him.
He's surprised you've managed to read his mind, feeling you put your hand on his chest and reminding him again that you know it's not true. You know he loves you and you love him, even if he doesn't like to say it much. You begin to add on all of the things that he's done for you to confirm his affections for you, Al Haitham giving you a soft smile as he realises he does show a side of himself that only you're allowed to see.
Dainsleif thought it was unfair of you to be constantly waiting for him to come visit you for just a few days before disappearing again, knowing that his lurking around the city at night lends him the ability to hear rumors that he normally wouldn't be able to hear.
He also knows that your friends hate him, some doubtful he even exists and the others telling you you deserve to be with someone who actually seems to want to be around you. Sometimes he tries to broach the subject himself, finding himself at the receiving end of you rolling your eyes and telling him that none of the bothers you. You knew what you were in for and you're not going to get mad at him for doing exactly what he warned you he would be doing.
One day he slips into your house unnoticed. He knows that you should be asleep and he doesn't want to wake you up by accident. Upon slipping into your room he sees a bundle of papers, recognising the one on top as the most recent letter he's written to you.
He realises that the entire stack is just all the letters he's written to you, smiling to himself as he sees just how carefully you've preserved all of his letters. He hears you shifting around on your bed, turning to face him as you call out his name as a question, responding to you in a voice just as soft as he gives you a hug and kiss to greet you.
