After sailing the world in search of the finest ingredients, young Willy Wonka hopes to sell his chocolate among the best of the best and share it with the world. He quickly finds himself the victim of conmen and corrupt business owners and police set against letting him achieve his dream. But he makes wonderful friends as well, determined to help him make his vision a reality.
I didn’t even know this was a musical when I walked into the theater, but the songs are delightful. It’s a magical and sweet adventure with a lovely cast. Great for all ages and Wonka himself is more lovable and altruistic and less callous than in the original films, though he maintains his mischievous streak.

In your heart lies your deepest wish, which drives and defines you. To live in the beautiful kingdom of Rosas, you must give that wish to the king sorcerer to protect and defend and perhaps one day make come true. Teen Asha and friends dare to question and defy the wish-hoarding king.
The best part of this movie was the trailer. While it has strong vocals, a decent story, and a couple adorable, magical sidekicks, I was disappointed with the wordy, uninspired songs and incohesive, unfinished looking combination of 2D and 3D art styles. Frankly the film felt rushed, like a taped together first draft.
