The hypocrisy when a certain group of anti reylo who are kylux shippers, ship at the same time gravebone. You realize how rotten is this site and the people who fetishize and sexualize m/m relationship Even more proof that the top 20 most popular ships in tumblr are most of them m/m, while in top 10 is only reylo as a f/m ship.

As a Kylo centric Reylo shipper I come across Kylux a lot and it's quite obvious they have nothing that could make it canon. The TFA movie, novelizations, tie-ins, script, etc all hint that Reylo is meant to be endgame and that is without including Pablo Hidalgo's we'll see comments to Reylo shippers which seems to be a cast and crew in-joke, and we both know the cast are positive towards Reylo. Kylux on the other hand is a result of migratory slash fandom latching onto new Two White Men to use.

The interoggation scene was a torture scene and only this. Reylo is not abusive. They are in relationship, so Kylo Ren can ‘abuse’ her. As for the 'rape’, if this is true, then it means that a female to be a lead and strong 'has’ to be raped and 'abused’ and be a victim, which is disregarding, disgusting misogynistic and sexist for the writer and what messages show to viewers. If you follow and agree with this train of thought I’m sorry for you. Also this mean with this logic that you also shouldn’t ship Kylo Ren with anyobe since he is an 'abusive’ character and a 'rapist’. I’m also sorry for you for interpreting so false assumptions about people and put all of them in a category, because you wouldn’t start comparing other ships which have nothing to do with Reylo and Star Wars. It’s actually really offending for meand many other people who ship the and for the SW characters. If you read my reply you would know that I don’t ship because they are 'sexy’ or 'hot’(although I see most Kylux shippers shippers ship for exactly the same reasons and 'angry hot hate sex'n hypocritic much?) Also, most of the shippers never said that Rey has 'heart eyes’ and is love with him in canon, for now at least, which come s in contrast when you see Kylo’s expression around her and Kylo’s heavily more than platonic subtext. You don’t need words yo describe what you feel when see how different his expression between Finn and Rey and Poe and Rey, when yhe earth literally splits between them. That’s some heavy subtext. If you don’t see the fixation and awe in Kylo’s face when she grabs, the your loss. I see something epic and full of symbolisms dynamic with these two, while exploring both the darkness and the light inside them and sharing the same fears. They are intriquing. They represent yin & yang which I can’t ignore. So before start criticizing a ship, explore why people ship something, read some metas on why people see potential with these two and a small faction of them. Also what are you trying to prove with sharing me a meta about ao3? What I said stands still. Although, even if it wasn’t the second most polular ship with not so much gorgeous art, fanvids and well writing long fics I would ship, because I see the potential for something and refreshingly new to f/m dynamic. As for the gif, ver mature of you, congratulations.

So the sneak peek of the new game Trials of Tatooine has Kylo Ren being handed Anakin/Luke’s lightsaber. Kylo Ren was the last (known) person in possession of the lightsaber, meaning Kylo Ren’s lighstaber called to Rey.

When you learn what the word “abuse” and “rape” stands for come and talk to me.
You really don’t know if Kylo Ren shares the same beliefs with Hux. The movie hinted heavily that he disagrees with the ways he handling things, not to mention he despises him and hates him.
Of course I’m going to ship Reylo, because it’s the one that makes more sense (along with Finrrey) and heir dynamic was heavily hinted to be the heart of the trilogy, and not in a “Rey is getting stronger to kill the bad Kylo Ren, and the balance will return”. Their connection is meant to grow in something deeper, no matter if they will end up together or not. They are the heart of the story. These two are meant to balance together the Force. Kylo Ren has finally found his equal, an even stronger force sensitive from him, who can challenge and connect with him. She share the same loneliness he has.
Rey literally grabbed from his hands the lightsaber that “belongs to him” and they only thing he did was staring at her with such awe and admiration. “It is you” he said to her. He had seen her too “in a dream, in a nightmare” just like Rey saw him too.
Yeah how can I not ship the most complex, fascinating, with potential unique dynamic that I usually meet in the m/m ships, instead of the crack Kylux ship? The film itself ships them. lol
It’s sad that you disregard Reylo’s dynamic (and not in shippy way exclusively) an the amazing storytelling and fairytale undertones of these, and focus on a nonexistant rape fantasy some haters created, when a beautiful fairytale. Really sad.
Oh and I wasn’t talking about a fanfic site (although the third or second fanfic after Stormpilot is a Reylo one), about their popularity. Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Tumblr, The Jedi Council forums is enough proof for me that Reylo much, much popular and fascinates people than Kylux will ever be (and even Stormpilot based on Instagram and Youtube.
But if it makes you feel good that is popular in a single fanfic site, ok, whatever floats in your boat.
thank god reylo is the second most popular after stormpilot, instead of kylux. people have taste.

Okay, this whole argument has been irritating me like crazy, so much so that I shouldn't even probably write this post. But I guess I'm too blunt for my own good, so here goes.
First off, I think that a huge amount of moral guilt-tripping has been infused into this thread by an "appeal to authority" argument that insinuates people wanting to see a compelling story of a morally ambiguous, or dare I say "problematic" couple that doesn't meet the current utopian message ideal, on the big screen, worldwide, are actually supporting something that will worsen the human rights conditions of oppressed people around the world. It's a passive-aggressive, manipulative technique and I personally find it an extremely low argumentative tactic. Also, to intimate that artists have to meet some kind of approved standard of morality determined by some nebulous, just-so-enlightened elite is also abhorrent. You know what all those repressive regimes that continuously and severely violate people's human rights all have in common? They *all* tightly control the artistic expression, all of them. All going through some kind of censorship process to make sure the work doesn't violate the pre-determined morality norms of those in power.
Secondly, you have to look at the character of Rey. If you truly believe that she is some pure, precious desert angel, like she's Jennifer Jones in The Song of Bernadette, then no way, no how should she ever be with Kylo Ren, even a totally redeemed 99% Ben Solo, because she would just be too precious, and the writers never would have built enough of a common bridge for her to get to be with Ren. Even if she was only as "nice" as Padme, she shouldn't be with even a redeemed Kylo Ren/Ben Solo hybrid, because though both Padme-ish Rey and Angel-ish Rey would have mercy for him and would be kind to him, they could never understand him well enough to connect with him to the level needed to create a real relationship. There would just not be enough foundation or any in-story logic for such a result.
And yes, Padme loved Anakin/Vader, but she first knew him when he was innocent and she was innocent. But even more importantly, IMO, one of the reasons that couple came off so badly was because the relationship started from a desperate, needy "I'm going to imprint on you like you're my new mother" thing from Anakin, and for whatever weird reason, Padme thought that was attractive. Or maybe her life was so prim and proper, she just liked Anakin's "crazy". Who knows? IMO, those two never really knew who the other one was, particularly Padme in understanding the emotional cauldron that was Anakin. And so even with the bad writing and bad acting, the whole thing fell on its face because there was really no good point of connection between them beyond that weird "mother imprinting" thing. However, IMO, though that relationship had a lot more red flags than Ren and Rey do, that's what GL's vision was, and he had an absolute right to do it. And frankly, though I don't much care for a lot for the PT, that strange relationship did help create the faulty foundation upon which Anakin fell and Vader was created. So it served the story.
OTOH, even fighting like they do, Rey and Ren seem to already have a clearer understanding and commonality between each other after only three scenes than Padme and Anakin had throughout all those movies.  And you know why I think that? Because I don't think Rey is precious at all. I think she's got a good soul overall, but I think she can be a nasty piece of work when she wants to be.  I mean she takes down Finn like a growling gang enforcer because of a jacket.  Her display of skills shows that she's had lots of fights before.  Her skills also imply that she has hurt people and maybe even abused them before.  She's also as trigger-happy as he**. And as soon as she force-powered up, she took down Ren like the female version of Darth Maul, and I believe that she would have finished him off had the earth not split.  She was in the dark side zone until then. Just like Ren frequently is because he's had the evil Snoke whisperer in his head his whole life.
Where's Rey's childhood dark side seducer when she shoots at the stormtrooper who isn't even looking at her? Where's her evil imaginary friend when she slices Kylo's face? Oh wait, she doesn't have one.  And you know what, she doesn't need to have one.  Because she's got plenty of dark in her already without any help from Kylo. Her life was terrible and @Slyvia Snow was right on the money when she said that Rey probably has to believe that her parents will come back or the hate will really start to get to her. I personally get the impression that it took a while for Kylo to get where he is at the beginning of TFA. Based on how quickly dark Rey became at times in TFA, I don't think her trajectory would have been much different than Ben Solo's had she had a Snoke in her life.  If anything she might have turned faster.  And because I interpret her as a woman with her own set of issues, I don't think it's a stretch that she could be with some hybrid Kylo Ren/Ben Solo who was "working the steps" of redemption. To me, they're both cut from the same cloth.  They're both damaged people.  He's just had a lot harder push on the force seduction end of things than she has up to now. Further, she can handle herself quite nicely. Actually she can handle herself better than him because she beats him both times. So I don't feel that Rey needs to be protected in the slightest. I think it's actually sexist in a way how people want to turn her into a victim all the time when she is definitely not.
Next, the whole, "he caused her pain while she was restrained." OMG! What do you want? He's a bad dude! He's well into the dark side.  He does nasty s*** to people on a daily basis.  That's part of him being the SW force sensitive villain! And as those villains go, he's the most conflicted one there ever was onscreen! And he's at war.  He's got a job to do.  Not a nice job, but a realistic job in wartime.  He's the ace interrogator/mind reader for enemy combatants.  More importantly, because of the war, he's the ace interrogator/mind reader of people who would see him dead the first chance they got!  Which of course brings me to trigger-happy Rey ... who shoots at him repeatedly on sight without him even saying a word to her.  If he wasn't skilled in the force, she would have blown his head off.  So let's think about that too when we start talking about abuse.  In the woods he says, "You would kill me without knowing me," and she doesn't deny it. His FO status and his fearful presence in her vision is all she needs to know.  Then back at the base, when she's in the interrogation chair, she wakes up and after he actually tries to give her assurance that her "traitor friends" might still be alive, he feels from her and says aloud, "You still want to kill me."
In the junior novelization it reads as follows: Relief was the last emotion Rey could've felt. How could she believe anything he said. She seethed with anger at him, desperate to tear the man's mask off and hammer it into his skull."
Oh yeah, let's take the restraints off of her! That won't lead to the street fight of the century! Goodness, no!!!
Ren had to have seen this in her head. He wouldn't be a Skywalker Force Sensitive if he didn't. Yet, what's funny is that he actually takes off her restraints in the book, which means that must have happened in the script at some point. Therefore, JJ decided to change that at some point.  Why do you think he made that decision? I have a theory.
Daisy played Rey like such a low-growling, ready-to-pounce junkyard dog in those scenes that it actually would have looked incredibly stupid had she been so overwhelming mad at Ren and *not* tried to attack him. And I bet something else too ... JJ liked those scenes of Daisy being so tough, liked how well it meshed with Adam Driver's increasing vulnerability, so he decided to keep Daisy as "Tough Rey" with the restraints on because (1) Kylo Ren would be a total idiot to unrestrain her when she is so overwhelmingly hostile, (2) had they kept "Tough Rey" and played it logically she would have jumped Kylo and then you would have had Kylo have to touch her to subdue her *and they did not want that* ... I don't think he ever physically touched her until she had him on the ground in the Snow Fight and was disarming him, and most importantly, (3), that Daisy comes across so tough so fast in those scenes and Adam shrinks so quickly that you barely remember she has restraints, and (4) the restraints serve as a plot device to allow Rey and Ren to realistically talk without a fist fight and to allow him to show his burgeoning "compassion" for her, for them to form the force bond which reveals his greatest fear, and for her to start downloading his skills via the force bond, (5) to give her a deeper understanding and connection to him later in the TFA and next films, because whether they go romantic or not, these two are tied like crazy in this story, and (6) it's a plot device to create the big reveal of the Jedi Mind Trick which shows that he has helped opened a door and now she is a conscious force user.  Someone was asking earlier why JJ went this route. The list above is why he went this route.  He kills a lot of birds with one stone in a scene that is less than 5 minutes. That's one of the reasons why the scene is so incredible.  It does a million crucial things with just a few words.
Fourth, we've been over this a million times, but there is no Geneva Convention in the galaxy. Every single one of our major characters would be deemed a violent felon under Western laws. People should not be shamed for being drawn into fictional universes with their own moral codes or be called out as defective for feeling compassion for or having imaginative aspirations for compromised characters, even if those visions don't perfectly fall in line with somebody's idea of a moral code. Moreover, nor should artists be shamed into making their works bow to this nebulous code. Art is human expression, warts and all. It's not Hollywood's job to change the world.  It's every individual's job to change the world via the ballot box, lobbying legislators and policy makers, and using the power of the pocketbook. Because it will be a scary day when works have to start meeting this "non-problematic" vision for the "greater good", because that's the day when works like Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Girls, The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, Gladiator, The Departed and both Star Wars trilogies start getting thrown out of the canon because every single one of these works show "problematic" romantic relationships.
Finally, as for Ren, everybody needs to come to their own conclusions. JJ and company purposely instigated all this angst of "Is he really that bad?" stuff as a brilliant, buzz-making, marketing scheme. The reason I root for Ren is because to me he seems like he has been insidiously abused for his entire life by a supernatural evil child predator and his family completely dropped the ball, thus leaving him to cope alone and without any tools. I also think that is mental stability is very poor due to this abuse, his isolation, his guilt over past deeds, his confusion over his destiny, his juggling efforts to manage some unique agenda and his very apparent dark side immersion. As a result, this overall instability and overwhelming dark energy is going to lead him to do all kinds of bad things including to people he cares about. To me that's just the way it is with the dark side in SW, because to me big dark side immersion always did bad physical and mental changes to the person who fell too far into it. The fall largely seems to instigate all the evil that follows, so if you can't get past crucial error in the fall with these characters, then you can never get behind a redemption IMO, because they can never be forgiven for that crucial first, mind-addling decision. But what is fascinating about Ren, despite an almost 30 year seduction process full of dark energy and seducing voices and increasingly bad deeds he gets no pleasure from his darkness, unlike Anakin and the Emperor who were orgasmic at times. Instead, Ren, after 30 years is still feeling the light. After being fully turned for at least probably 6 years, Han comes *this close* to bringing him back. That actually tells me that there is something very strongly decent and light about his soul, because even after Han the darkness doesn't grab him ... it actually loses him to some extent.  I don't think he is fully possessed at all times, but at the same time, I don't believe his mind, his thinking or his decisions are completely his own either.  As a result, a lot of his bad behavior is mitigated to some extent in my eyes and I hope for redemption and some modicum of happiness for his character.  I actually think if he could break from Snoke's hold he would be quite similar to my vision of Rey, both being quite capable of being nasty, of being abusive, as they both were to each other from the very beginning of their interactions where *she shot first*. My hope is that he actually breaks from Snoke when he sees Rey falling to the dark because he is so disgusted in himself and cares about her so much that he can't bare to see her like that and would rather die than see her fall. Needless to say, I don't think a pairing of Rey and a broken-from-the-darkness and redeeming Ren would be all sweetness and light, but it's shouldn't be. They're both intense, emotional and extremely powerful.  Neither one would be the other's victim. They would always be the other's challenging mate in a romantic situation, and that is very compelling, and IMO, not "harmful" at all.
So we'll just have to see where all this goes. If Rian Johnson decides to throw all the wonderful Adam Driver-acted conflict away in favor of a force sensitive version of the conscience-less Hux, then Reylo is a no go. Not because it shouldn't be allowed to be done or because it would be "wrong" to show such a pairing onscreen, but because it would be stupid and completely illogical and unearned. However, if they continue to build on the "You Need a Teacher" and "I'm So in Awe of You that I Want to Marry You even though You've Taken my Life Down to my Lightsaber and even though You're Kicking my A** like Miss Darth Maul" Ren, then there is plenty of story logic for them to get together, messy and uncutesy and imperfect though it might be, and plenty of potential for it to be an awesomely acted, original, fierce romance between too of the most intense and supernaturally powerful characters you'll ever see. Yeah, watching a reforming, good-souled Darksider in Recovery and a good-souled Sometimes Nasty Streetfighter Force Girl get together would kicka** and be empowering as s***, and not just to women, but everyone, because both would have had to overcome huge mountains of obstacles to get to that point. And it would powerful because it was the organic result of logic and foundational elements in the story, not because it met some artificially imposed, predetermined rules. [source]
