The aura that man gave off in this moment was pure darken lust. He stood leaning against the now locked door. ‘Damn! Must have forgotten to do that’ your brain rang out. Your eyes glanced over to Sevika who was using her body to shield yours. Her relationship with Silco was vastly different from your own. Silco had the current command of the room, only because Sevika gave it to him. The evilness and mischievousness flowing through you wouldn’t allow Silco to win in this instant.
Lowering your eyes, a wild grin formed on your face that only Silco could see. Granting you with a concerned, confused look as he watched you snake your naked body along the backside of his bodyguard. Your hand craned around her broad shoulder, grasping firmly around her throat. Lulling her head to the side, you sunk your teeth into her strong shoulder. Sevika let out a startled yelp of pure pleasure. A strained “Princess…” left her mouth as she grabbed at your body that was now pressed against her back.
Pulling your mouth away from the newly formed mark, you stared down Silco reminding him just who exactly you were. “Don’t you worry.” Your voice came out low, riddled with eeriness. “He is just jealous.” Your tongue glided over the fresh mark as you drew out the word ‘jeaLous.’ Silco’s cloudy, seafoam green eye narrowed at your words as the other bore back into your piercing glare.
Sevika let out a groan, closing her eyes tightly. She may have let her fists do most of her talking, but she was smart enough to understand what was going on in this moment. Your strong will was battling for command of the room over Silco’s. To her luck he was in a giving mood. An equally intimidating grin formed on the mans scarred face, all but exciting you to continue egging him on.
Lust clouded your vision as you watched Silco shed his matching jacket. Slowly his hands worked at his cufflinks, tossing them into a nearby pile of clothing. You stared at him intently, there was something so attractive to a man who slowly rolled the cuffs on their button up shirts. A warmth began to spread in your folds once more as you watched Silco unfasten the clasps, exposing his pale skin to the dim lighting of the storage closet.
Traveling south your eyes met the straining fabric of Silco’s pants against his excited manhood. Silco slowly strode over to where you had yourself wrapped around Sevika like a mischievous snake. Licking at your bottom lip, Silco’s eye followed your tongue. “Do I excite the great Eye of Zaun?” you taunted him, your voice was lowered and oozing with desire. A darkness darted across his eyes at your words, the mocking was not well excepted, but you were in no mood to play nice with the devil.
With a sudden swiftness Silco’s spindly, cold fingers wrapped around your throat. Gripping with just enough force to stop you from mocking him again. “Cat got your tongue, dear?” he whispered in your ear as he pried your small form from Sevika’s larger one. Thus, leaving you open to his complete needy gaze. Sevika let out an audible sigh, covering herself with her freed arm. She took several steps away from you and Silco, unsure of how to proceed.
Letting out a choked whine at the abrupt loss of warmth, Silco quickly dropped your body. You landed on the edge of the crate Sevika had just taken you on. “Are you always this angry when you get off?” you barked at the man who now stood over you. Silco didn’t reply, causing you to roll your eyes at him and look off to the darker parts of the room. A dull pain crept up on your side from the still weeping wound. You snapped your eyes back to the older man, “If your going to take me like you did last time, just get it over with already.” Anger seeped into your voice as you watched the memory hit Silco.
He leaned over you, inches away from your face. The smell of his cologne and cigar smoke was overwhelming, you began to lay back just to put any form of space between the two of you. Silco followed you down, a sadness, almost regretful look formed on his face. “That will never be happening again. No matter how you mock me. I don’t expect you to forgive me, but this, this is different.” The puffs of air that came from his mouth as he spoke, ghosted against your lips. The softness and kindness were surprising, had the year apart given him enough time to properly miss you? You thought to yourself before leaning up to capture his thin lips in a warm kiss.
Silco kissed you back with such passion and desire, the sun would have been jealous of the heat that the two of you were sharing. Pulling away from the kiss, a subtle smile crept over Silco’s face, “Welcome back, my dear.” The words felt sincere and welcoming, the first happy thing to happen in the last 24 hours. Lust filled your body again, as you looked over the toned form that was pinning you to the crate. “It is so good to be back.” You mouthed back before nipping at Silco’s bottom lip.
Silco stood as a metallic noise came from behind him, knocking against a liquor filled barrel. Sevika halted all her movements as she had been caught trying her best to sneak out of the room. “Where do you think you’re going?” the deep voice sent shivers down her spine. A mix of fear and excitement bolted to her core like lightning.
Still covering her chest, the rugged woman turned to face Silco and you. Her eyes were trained to the ground as you both looked her over. “Your choice on what to do with her.” He said turning back to you. An embarrassing amount of blush, flushed her face as you spoke, “She was trying to leave before she even had her dessert.” As you finished with your sentence, Sevika’s eyes shot up from the ground. She was welcomed to a sight of your entrance on display for her. One of your legs was propped up on the box with you as the other was parted and draped over the side.
She let out a strangled groan, trying to restrain her desire to dive straight in. “Well, you heard her, Sevika.” Silco spoke to his guard. That was all she needed to drop to her knees in front of you. Sevika placed small bites along the inside of your thighs as moans vibrated through your chest. As the rough woman ventured closer to your center your eyes darted over to Silco’s lurking presence. Closely watching him rub his clothed member as you groaned out in anticipation of what was to come.
Your entrance dripped with arousal, all of the attention was on you, and you were living for it. The warmth of Sevika’s tongue greeted your wet folds with a few kitten licks, she moaned against you relishing in your taste. The tip of her tongue continued to tease you, quickly swiping back and forth over your clit. Every time they would connect a jolt of pleasure would race to your stomach. Your fingers reached for her hair to gain more purchase. You desired to feel the full extent of her mouth against you. To grind yourself on her tongue until you came undone.
While your hands intertwined themselves in Sevika’s raven locks, she moaned hard against your clit. The vibrations gathered solely on your already sensitive nub, causing your head to throw back as you let out a carnal moan in response. Sevika finally took the hint to stop with the teasing and finally get to the good part. Diving her tongue deep into your entrance, she swirled it around as her hands curled around your trembling thighs. Holding onto her hair tightly as pleasure hit you in waves, you watched Silco study you out of hooded eyes.
Panting you finally spoke up, “Are you just going to watch or are you going to come join us?” a small smirk forming on your face. Silco had apparently been waiting for your permission to make his way over to your body. “Gladly” he replied as he leaned over you, cupping one of your breasts in his hand. Lightly he massaged it while gently pulling at your already erect nipple. Pawing at your chest Silco closed the distance between you, capturing your mewling mouth with his. Sevika continued to twirl her tongue, mixing up your insides, sending your moans vibrating into the needy, sloppy kiss with Silco.
Every thought in your mind faded, you focused on the overwhelming pleasure you were receiving from both of your partners. The lust filled man that hovered over your naked body released your breast, opting to cupping both sides of your face in his hands. He held his chest against yours the best he could, allowing you to feel the hard thumping of his heart. It felt as though he was drinking you in, with every clash of teeth and slip of your tongues.
Freeing one of your hands from Sevika’s hair, you slipped it in between you and Silco. Trailing your heated fingertips down his torso, they set to work on the still buttoned high waisted pants. After a few attempts at unclasping the man’s pants, they finally gave way. His manhood sprung free with excitement, Silco’s tense body seemed to ease at the sudden relief of his bindings. A small wet spot at the top of his boxers collected the beads of arousal, as your fingers ghosted over it.
Hearing his responding groans at the friction of your lazy strokes coaxed you to continue. As Sevika quickened her tongue movements you matched her pace with your stroking of his trapped member. Lifting his hips, Silco pulled his boxers lower ultimately releasing his weeping cock. The air hit his skin forcing a hiss from his busy mouth. You took that as a notice to wrap your warmed palm around him. “Ah Fuck.” Silco let out parting his mouth from yours.
Standing to his feet, Silco edged himself closer to your mouth. You took the hint of what he really wanted, parting your lips for him. With a pleased groan he brought the tip of his member up to your mouth. It was your turn to place kitten licks, lapping at the already pooling cum. He had a bitter taste, probably from his diet of cigars and hard liquor, but it didn’t deter you from snaking your tongue around his shaft.
Feeling ignored, Sevika pulled you further down the crate until your whole entrance was against her mouth. She held you tight in her arms, as your thighs rested on her strong shoulders. Your hips bucked at the newfound friction, showing her just how much you were truly enjoying yourself. Sevika’s metal hand gripped down tightly holding your lower half still, the rough metal edges bit into the soft parts of your trembling legs. “Tsk, bad dog.” Silco barked at Sevika as his member slipped from your mouth, abruptly stopping his pleasure. Sevika replied by humming into your clit sending vibrations to your core as you let out a cry.
Silco took this opportunity to slide himself back into your parted lips, nearly hitting the back of your throat. The sudden suffocating fullness brought tears to your eyes as the heavy scent of Silco filled your nose. Your hands found themselves back in Sevika’s hair, pulling to find any purchase to control either of your partners. Sevika took to sliding in one of her fingers while she sucked at your clit. She worked it around your quivering insides looking for your bundle of nerves once more. While Silco cradled your head as he ruthlessly fucked himself deep into your throat.
His fingers rubbed at the sides of your jaw, relaxing the muscles, and opening your mouth more for him. Tilting your head back allowed for Silco’s member to slip deeper into your throat. Tears streamed from your screwed shut eyes. You focused on feeling your own pleasure and breathing through your nose. Breathing was becoming more difficult as Silco’s cock grew with each thrust, he was close to coming undone. He was not alone in that regard, Sevika managed to locate your bundle sending you spiraling close to your own climax. The edge was so close for the both of you, you could hear the heavy pants of Silco as he watched his cock plunge deeper into your tight throat.
You were the first one to be sent over the edge, as Sevika’s humming mouth and fingers coaxed you over the ledge. The tightening and moaning of your throat had Silco spilling his cum into you with a shout. Your body tensed up at the overwhelming feelings of pleasure and pain. Your thighs quickly snapped shut nearly trapping Sevika as you came hard. The sudden jolting of your body tore at the stitching that hid your wound. The exhaustion and pain swarmed your mind as the pleasure was overrun. Your eyes clouded over, rolling back into your skull. Your body fell limp as everyone pulled away from you.
Panic flooding Silco as he quickly righted his pants watching you not join them in after sex bliss. He looked you over, noticing the once white bandage was now oozing and dripping with your crimson blood. Without a second thought he scooped up your lifeless body, barking at Sevika to gather their things and cover herself. She draped Silco’s long red coat over your naked body, before the man nearly kicked the door off of its hinges trying to open it.
Following close behind, Sevika glared at all of the on lookers as Silco parted the sea of people to the staircase. Ascending the stairs two at a time, the worried man carried you with ease. Only to be greeted by a sneering Finn at the top of them. “Oh, so this is where you decided to run off to during our meeting.” Silco was in no mood to deal with this useless man, he let out a snarl demanding Finn move. Pushing pass, the weaselly, snarky man added in his backhanded comments caused Sevika to halt and brandish her knife at his neck. Finn held his hands up in defeat knowing he would lose that battle, Sevika returned to following Silco’s heels.
“You there! Go fetch Singed NOW!” Silco yelled over the loud music at the guard who was watching over his room. “Yes sir.” The man replied before disappearing into the shadows of the hallway. Sevika opened the door for Silco as he burst into the room, gently laying you down on his bed. The black silk sheets surrounded your comatose body. The stark contrast of your pale skin against the void sheets sent Silco into another panic. “Please hold on my dear. I need you.” His voice trembled as he knelt down to hold your now chilled body against his.

The cold, metallic feeling of Sevika’s metal fingers gripping your wrists tightly. The solid steel was biting into your skin, those were going to leave marks. Her rough hands gripped your chin firmly, holding your gaze as her tongue fought for purchase in your mouth. You wiggled with excitement, your body craving any form of comfort. Running from the events on the surface was all your mind was focusing on. A sudden pain and taste of blood had your mind refocusing at the mission at hand. Sevika had bitten down on your lip, drawing a small bead of blood to the surface.
It felt as those she was trying to carve her way into your body, and you were at her mercy as you hung there. Another shiver coursed through your core as the pain faded into more pleasure. Her other hand was warm against your skin as she ran it across your midriff. The goosebumps chased after her fingertips.
Sevika’s fingers fell to your waistband, which housed a knife tightly to your skin. “Always need to be prepared, Princess?” her low, husky voice snaked into your ears as she pulled the knife free of your pants. Holding the razor, sharp blade up to your abdomen, you could feel the cold tip press against your skin lightly. Sevika’s gaze held locked with yours as she watched you begin to tremble with fear and excitement. She drank in your thrilled features, as if this is what she was getting off on.
The blade never dug into your skin, regardless of how close she was to cutting you. With ease the knife cut through the crop top you were wearing exposing your bound breasts. Your face formed into a pout “I don’t have any other clothes with me.” You whined at her. Sevika grinned before taking your bottom lip into her mouth. Pulling away as her teeth dragged along your lip “Don’t you worry about that right now.” She hummed to you gently while she tossed the knife into a nearby box. In a matter of seconds, she dropped your hands and focused both of hers on your chest. The still chilled metal snaked its way to your back, nearly crushing the clasp that held your bra close to your chest.
As the strands of fabric fell from your shoulders, they were caught in the jacket that still covered your arms. Sevika looked over the coat with annoyance, knowing she couldn’t just tear it apart on your body like she had been doing with the rest of your clothes. “tsk” Sevika’s irritation finally made a vocal appearance. Your eyes followed to were hers were trained, the jacket. A teasing smile spread over your mouth, “Oh no.” your tone came out heavily laced with mockery.
The taller woman released you, turning her back to your partly undressed, trembling form. Her shawl slipped off her shoulders collect on the floor, as her fingers worked at the buttons to her shirt. Slowly she stalked her way over to a sturdy crate that was covered with a fabric tarp. Sevika turned around sitting down with her legs spread with enough room just for you. Her shirt was parted, loosely hanging from her shoulders exposing her warm, tanned skin and the side of her breasts. “Why don’t you just take care of that jacket for me.” Her low voice lulled you into submission for her.
Once she knew she had your obedience a cocky smirk formed on her face causing you to advert your eyes. Dropping your eyes to the floor, you allowed the warm clothing to fall from your body. It pooled around your feet, unveiling your breasts to the cold air of the room and Sevika’s unwavering gaze. Her eyes took their time drinking in the view, “Silco is a lucky man” she whispered under her breath. Leaning back, Sevika made room for you in her lap as she motioned for you to come join her.
The way her eyes looked you over as if she was going to devour your very essence, had been such a change from the men in your life. Something about this woman was enticing, and not just because you were running from your own mind. Slowly you walked over to her, hiding behind your crossed arms, as if she hadn’t just cut your clothes straight from your body. Using the box under Sevika you kneeled, straddling yourself into her lap.
Her hands gripped your waist, pulling your cold form against her warmer one. Her chest was soft, aside from the rough scarring scattered around her body. The world had not been kind to her, but that was the life of a Zaunite. Slowly she parted your bodies so she could take in more of yours. “Your gorgeous Princess.” her words were gentle and kind as she placed small kisses all over your collarbone. You could feel the warmth begin to form in your core as your body opened up to her more.
You cupped her face in your hands, pulling her mouth onto yours. As your teeth clashed and tongues danced in harmony your fingers found themselves intertwined in her hair. Releasing her small ponytail, your fingers entangled themselves in her dark raven colored hair. Her steely, grey eyes peered into yours as she pulled away from you panting, “Raise your hips for me, princess.” She mumbled between breaths. You did as you were told with hesitation, curious as to what she was going to do to you next.
Her hand fell to your shorts button, popping it with ease as you squirmed to maintain your balance. Sevika wrapped her metal arm around your waist, resting it in the middle of your back. Your skin screamed at the sudden cold against, forcing you to arch yourself away. This thrusted your breasts into your partners face. With a subtle chuckle heard from her, you shot her a glare offering you a perfect view as Sevika’s mouth sucked one of your nipples in.
Her tongue swirled around your nipple as her other hand lowered itself into your shorts. Her fingers were greeted to your wetness beginning to breach your underwear. A small string of moans left your mouth as you pulled at her black locks. Sevika started out slow, rubbing small circles into your clothed clit. She was rewarded with more of your moaning and trembling as more of your wetness collected in your underwear.
Your hands had fallen to gripping tightly against Sevika’s back, nearly digging your nails into her to maintain your purchase. Her mouth had released your now swollen nipple and made its way to the other side. The dampness was growing increasingly uncomfortable eliciting you to grind down on Sevika’s digits for the friction you desired. The woman underneath you took the hint that your body craved more. She pushed your underwear out of the way, gliding her rough fingers along your wet folds. “Someone’s excited.” She stated before sinking her teeth into the side of your breast. A loud moan left your chest, in this moment you were grateful for the blaring club music playing in the other room.
Sevika used your wetness to cover her fingers, before taking the opportunity to slide one of them deep into your entrance. Your nails dug hard into your partners back, “Shit” Sevika moaned out before hooking her finger in search of something. The rubbing of her large finger inside of you, blurred your vision as the remaining pain of the day began to fade. Your mind was starting to play along and clear all of your thoughts that weren’t about this moment. A sudden jolt of electricity racked its way through your body, as her finger finally found what it had been looking for. The bundle of nerves was then assaulted with strong strokes, arching your back even further with the pleasure consuming you.
Your breasts nearly buried Sevika’s face as she enjoyed every moment of your undoing in the palm of her hand. After a while, your core grew needier, requesting more friction as your climax grew closer. With the amount of clothes, you still had remaining, it was becoming difficult to find the right position to slide more of her fingers into you. Sevika could read your body like an open book, she had just the right solution.
Swiftly she removed her fingers from your pants causing you to let out a noticeable whine. The strong woman scooped you up with the arm that had been holding you against her, as if you weighed nothing. Your brain swirled with emotions of annoyance and excitement as she laid you down on the crate she had been sitting on. The ceiling was nothing to write home about, just a simple low effort wooden panel with a covered vent. Sevika pinned you down with both of her arms on either side of your head, refocusing your eyes onto her.
Her pulled down hair gathered around her face as she looked down on you with such lust and amazement. Here you were chasing your own high and running from your demons, while she lusted and chased after you. A pang of guilt hit you hard, you may have been a monster to slaughter men and women around you, but you never enjoyed using people. A swift peppering of kisses riddled your face pulling you from your spiral. Sevika must have read your mind as she was relentlessly nipping and biting at your neck in hopes to draw you back in. You let her lead once more, wrapping your arms around her neck and arching yourself into her chest.
Her body was heated, and a small vibration could be felt as she kissed you all over. You took this opportunity to grab a handful of her exposed breast. Pawing at it she rewarded you with some soft pleased grunts and subtle moans. Your other hand that had remained on her neck, traveled down her back pushing her hanging shirt out of the way. With a small push on her lower back with your palm, you guided her chest to your face. A pleased hum left your chest, nuzzling your face between her breasts, nipping the skin gently. Her gasps egged you on, as you left behind a trail of small kisses and bite marks.
After a small amount of time, Sevika let out a chesty growl as she moved herself back down your body. Capturing your lips on the way down, her hands tried to push down the shorts that clung to your hips. Her mouth left yours on a journey down your neck and chest forcing you to arch your back into her. Sevika desired to have you completely unclothed and trembling underneath her already, and you wanted to give her exactly that. However, you were enjoying making her work for it after she had already been more then willing to destroy your only shirt.
A sudden shadowy shift from the vent in the ceiling captured your attention. “Hey Sevika?” you called out to her, much to her frustration. “What?” she replied clearly annoyed with your sudden questions. “Where does that vent lead to?” you stated pointing to the only vent in the room. “Princess I have no damned idea, now do me a favor and lift your hips.” She nearly purred in between your legs, sending a shiver up your spine. You did as you were told willingly, as your eyes fell to were Sevika was placing more open mouth kisses. Her teeth grazed against your now visible hip bone rewarding her with more of your surprised moans.
Sevika had done more exploring of your body then any of your previous partners had done in the total time you had been with them. It was as if she knew exactly where to look and where to touch to send you reeling with pleasure. You were insnared by everything she was doing to you. From every dark, lustful look to every confident, well-placed kiss. Out of everyone you could have chosen to spend tonight with, you were grateful it had been her. Now you really owe her a new arm, she was definitely earning it.
The chilled air lapped at your now exposed wet folds. Your body involuntarily shivered. Sevika took note of your shiver, swiftly she placed her warm fingers over your entrance. Letting out a gentle hum she took that as sign to begin her assault on your body. Her fingers found themselves back in your entrance, hooking and curling around in search of your bundle of nerves. Her quickness forced you to moan out her name as you gripped her metallic forearm to stabilize your body. You through your head back as the pleasure took over your senses, Sevika took this chance to sink her teeth into the side of your open neck.
The pain and pleasure mixed forcing the world around you to fade into darkness. Your mind solely was focused on Sevika and how good her fingers felt as they dove deeper into you. Letting out a loud gasp told your partner everything she needed to know, she had struck home. Her fingers rubbed and bounced against the nerves receiving your cries and pleas to not stop. Your climax was nearing its height forcing your hips to buck into her hand. With a firm grip of Sevika’s metal arm, your hips were pinned with ease to the crate under you.
This bound you to absorb the immense amounts of bliss and torment as your climax drew agonizingly close. With a few more rough thrusts of her fingers into you, your core tipped over the edge. Screwing your eyes shut, the white-hot feeling spread slowly from your core to every tip of your body. The chill of the room having long been forgotten, Sevika’s fingers continued moving helping you ride out your high for as long as possible.
It was obvious that the two of you were wrapped so deeply in chasing after your own pleasure to hear anything around you. The world had faded a long time ago, ignoring the fact that someone else had joined in the room with you. A low voice broke you out of your trance as you covered your chest and clamped your thighs tightly together. “Isn’t she just stunning when she comes undone.” The voice belonged to the one and only. Silco.

“Fuck!” You yelled, darting upright from the cold metal table that you had previously been bound to. A sharp pain ripped through your side, bouncing off each of your ribs forcing the air from your lungs. With a strong push, you took a deep breath straining your lungs to reinflate. After a few more crucial breaths, your vision cleared offering your first chance to look around the gloomy, dimly lit cave. Blinking your watery eyes, your reddened orbs finally grew accustomed to the darkness.
Taking in the silence, it was clear that no one was around. “Where did those two sneak off to?” you quietly voiced. Stretching your arms over your head, you could feel your body ache and cry out to return to its resting state. Now wasn’t the best time for that you urged your body to move, to shake off the stiffness. As you wiggled about the steel surface a gust of wind brushed against your exposed skin. The goosebumps emerged in seconds, with your eyes looking down to see all but your underwear having been stripped off.
Sliding off the metallic makeshift operating table, you collided with the solid stone flooring. Your knees buckled beneath you, causing your legs to give way under your own body weight. The ground was cool against your warm skin. Planting the palm of your hands onto the ground, you hoisted your trembling body upright. Braving yourself against the table, you waited as the pin and needles died down in your legs before trying to walk again. Having regained movement, you chose now would probably be the best time to find some clothing. You didn’t want to be caught dressed like this for everyone to see. Your sibling was one thing but Singed and possibly Silco was a whole other issue.
There amongst the darkness, on a distant desk laid your duffle bag, filled with yours and your fathers belongings. You chuckled to yourself, wondering how many times your father had been in this same situation. Wounded, hurt, and emotionally checked out, before he had met mom. Unzipping the rugged bag, you scoured through its contents. Uncovering, one pair of fishnet leggings, a short pair of black destressed jean shorts, a long sleeve black cropped sweater and a mismatched pair of thigh high stockings. Well at least in your moments of pain and delirium you still had good taste in clothing.
Shuffling through more of the bag, you searched for a jacket or your boots. “Damn!” letting out an annoyed gripe. You had forgotten Silco’s jacket and your fathers combat boots. At this time, they were lost to you, there was no going back to Piltover now. Not after that failure. Rubbing your temples, you were oblivious to the narrow, spindly hand reaching out from the darkness. In the silence the strong fingers wrapped around your shoulder, startling you. A yelp left your chest as your hand instinctually reached for the nearest weapon available. Whipping around, your hand grasped a knife that had been hiding in the bottom of the bag.
“My dear, I have some things from your sibling.” Singed’s raspy voice greeted your ears before your body reacted, thankfully. Adverting his eyes, Singed thrust a few clothing items into your arms. Quickly he turned around to retreat into the darkness of his lair, “Thank you Singed.” You chirped out. He hummed as the blackness swallowed around his frail frame, he was consumed in the shadows. Looking down, you examined the clothes your sibling had gathered for you.
A small note was pinned to a jacket that resembled the one you had left home without. “This will have to be the last one. I think Silco is catching on. -Love Jinx and Sib” A sudden laugh left your chest as a crimson red, corseted floor length jacket hung from your fingertips. The adorn golden buttons and silver cufflinks gave way that this was another one of Silco’s prized coats. Placing it on the desk nearby you observed the other few objects. One was a long pair of worn boots around your size and small silver necklace with the eye symbol hanging from it.
A small engraving caught your attention. Squinting your eyes, you were unable to read the tiny lettering written on the back of the pendent. Carefully you placed the thin necklace around your neck, making sure the clasps were together. The cold had been creeping up your toes as you stood there, gathering the energy to finish dressing. With a significant sigh you gingerly dressed yourself. The clean clothes felt good against your chilled skin. However, the jacket had been your favorite by far. Not only was it warm and perfect for your body. A faint smell lingered around your head, sending your mind into a blissful haze. It had been awhile since you had smelled Silco’s cologne.
It felt wrong to be enjoying someone other than Viktor's presence, except something in the back of your mind purred with happiness. More simply put, lust. With another deep inhale of the lingering scent, you bent over to lace up your ‘new’ boots. This had been rather difficult, as you could feel your skin pull at the new set of stitches holding your side together. With a struggle and lots of pained groaning you had finally finished.
Standing back up, you panted and continued to gather your belongings. Hiding weapons and important materials on your person was always the smartest thing to do in the Undercity. Spinning the final knife among your fingers, you stored it in the side of your boot. “Singed I’m leaving!” You called out to the spider like man hiding in the shadows of his cave. “Stay safe.” Could be heard from somewhere deep inside the obscurity.
Following the dim, green glowing candles you managed to find the backdoor exit to Singed’s cave. Slowly opening the door, you peered through the crack, finding no one nearby. You slunk into the shadowy parts of the lower floor of the Last Drop nightclub. Neon lights and rumbling techno club music welcomed you as you stepped out into the light. A disheveled looking Marcus sat at the bar, drowning his fears in a high-end whisky. From the looks of the people and crowds that have gathered in the club, the place had been open for some time now. Popping the collar on Silco’s jacket to obscure your features, you slinked your way through the crowded dance floor over to the bar.
Plopping down next to Marcus, the worn man didn’t even look up from his drink before he barked with slurred words. “That s….seat is tak..en.” Motioning to the bartender, who recognized you, he swiftly made you and Marcus another round of drinks. “Didn’t I just say that seat was taken, now scram.” The Enforcer ordered for you to leave him. “Yeah I think your waiting for me.” You replied to his demands. A cheeriness laced your tone; however, it had been overshadowed by the lifelessness the still filled your heart.
“Oh! Holy shit!” Marcus nearly lost his balance as he swiveled his bar stool in your direction. You couldn’t help let out a small chuckle as you watched his failed attempt at coordination. “What took you so long?” worry spread across his features as he questioned you. Softly you placed your hand on his shoulder, grateful for all Marcus had done for you tonight. “I was fighting death, sorry to keep you waiting. Something died on that table it just wasn’t me.” Rubbing his forehead, a small snicker left. A mix of relief and annoyance. As the tired looking Enforcer stood on his unsure feet, he lightly patted your shoulder. “I always thought you were death. See you around Shadow.” Marcus said his goodbye and swiftly disappeared into the crowd.
Eyeing the drink in your hand, in one action you downed the harsh tasting liquid before leaving the bar. As you turned, you watched the crowd part like a sea out of a fairytale. The metallic jaw and flashy outfit gave away just who demanded this show and attention. Finn. A desire to cause chaos to that man’s life always made you feel better, “Maybe playing with him would take away these feelings.” You voiced your thoughts to no one in particular.
Slowly you strode your small frame through the masses, arriving at the base of the stairs that led straight to Silco’s office. For most of the evening you had gone unnoticed, everyone too busy chasing their own dragons to notice your presence. Even by the mismatched eyes that where now trained on you. Your eyes narrowed as a wicked grin formed on your face, Silco stood looming over his nightclub. His face read shock and delight.
Leaning to his side, he whispered something to his right-hand bodyguard. Sevika quickly descended the stairs to greet you, “You have poor timing Shadow.” Her rough voice stirred something in your stomach. “Depends on who you are, for me it is great timing to start some shit.” You redirected your smug look at her. Her ridged exterior was apparent that she was mentally preparing to fight with you again. Darting forward, you grabbed at her loose-fitting shirt, pulling the larger woman towards your body.
Sevika’s face was close to yours, enough to feel her stunned gasps for air ghost against your lips. “I’m not here to fight you.” Quietly you whispered against her mouth, only loud enough for her to hear. Her eyes had dropped the ‘dear in the headlights’ look, opting for lust blown pupils. “Then what do you want?” Sevika tried her best to come off annoyed with you, clearly in vain. Lightly you brushed your lips against hers, your breath was hot laced with the liquid courage.
Silco watched your interaction with Sevika intently, there was something off about you tonight. Ignoring his chem-baron guests, the older man studied you. A darkness lurked behind your eyes that drew him to you. He noted your wicked smile and the glare you gave him as you kissed Sevika. Continuing to watch as his personal guard pushed you away and you advanced back at her. Irritation splashed across his features, better put as jealousy. He had been the one who wanted to see you, who demanded for your return to the Undercity. Silco was the one who had desired you.
Distancing yourself from Sevika you questioned her, “What? Don’t feel like dancing with the devil?” you chortled; your tone rang out with sarcasm. The rugged woman’s eyes where trained on your lips, even in a battle of desires she was loosing to you. “You know this isn’t a good idea.” Her words came out soft as if she was voicing her thoughts and not actually trying to warn you. A mischievous smile formed on your face as you bit your bottom lip suggestively. Placing your pointer finger in the air, you motioned for her to come closer.
As her non-metallic callused hand cupped the side of your face, you leaned into her. Her dry, rough lips crashed against your soft, pliable ones. As your tongues danced for dominance, your eyes locked with Silco’s. Evil and wickedness shot back at you as Silco watched on in anger. Slamming his fist down hard against the railing, he turned towards his meeting room. Humming out a moan as Sevika’s tongue caressed yours.
With your quiet moans and noises, Sevika was coming to an understanding of just how you always seemed to end up in Silco’s bed. Everything about you was becoming delightful, and a bit of a rush. Pulling away from her, she looked you over in confusion. Before either of you could say anything, a loud slamming of the double doors could be heard over the blaring music.
Sevika began to panic, as she knew what she had done was wrong. You on the other hand, only lived for the chaos and pandemonium that going further with this woman would bring to you. She tried her best to put distance between the two of you, “You might as well finish this, your going to get in trouble either way.” your words halted Sevika in her tracks. Everything you had just said was true, she might as well get some form of enjoyment out of this whole ordeal.
You offered her your hand, as if you were the devil on her shoulder offering her a deal she couldn’t refuse. Swiftly she took your hand and hauled you off to the nearest storage closet. Turning on the hanging light, Sevika dragged you into the dimly lit room. Shoving you against the now closed door, her mouth was on yours in mere moments. Her metallic arm gathered your wrists above your head, pinning you against the door in a tight grip. You wiggled about with excitement, as you kissed her back. Lapping at her bottom lip before sucking it in between your teeth.

Zaunite in a Piltover World
Chapter 27
Pairing: M/F

Tumblr media
Viktor pushed open the heavy front doors to the lab, limping through them with a purpose. Thirteen years to get to know you. He had thirteen of them, to study you and only you. You were there when he was brought up to the surface. When he needed a bed to sleep in, you forfeit yours for him. When Viktor needed someone to talk with about the atrocities of the Undercity that kept him up at night, there you were holding his favorite cookies and an extra pillow. When his projects were deemed impossible or unfit, there you stood with chalk fixing his equations making everything work.
Here he was hiding behind Jayce and the council to send you back to the Undercity that they all feared. Today he saw a new side to you, he didn’t think could even exist. How could the light that sparkled in your gorgeous eyes fade to lifelessness? When had you been able to terrify a whole room with your aura? He had been so blind to what you really could be capable of. Sure, the two of your origin points may have been nearly the same, but what had the world done to you to make you so dark and deadly?
The wind whipped around Viktor's frail and narrow body nearly knocking him on his ass. What frustrated Viktor the most was in his moments of fear he had become apart of that world that had turned you into some hidden monster. His mind was racked with fear, and it followed the mob mentality of branding you, his beloved, the enemy. Even if to the rest of the world you were some monster, to him you were the kindest, sweetest, most intelligent partner he could have asked for. That is what should have mattered in the moment, not what everyone else thought of you.
Gripping his temples, Viktor's vision blurred. Warm streaks of liquid charted a coarse down his thin face. Placing his fingertips in the wet streaks, peering down Viktor found himself crying. The last time he had cried over anything was for the creature named Rio. The scaleless, mutated Waverider that his mentor had experimented on had captivated Viktor when he was a young child. Since that time in his life, Viktor had truly closed his heart off to any of those endearing emotions. In science there was no room for emotions, it is what led to mistakes.
Even using his scientific mind to try and hide his desires for you, the two of you still ended up sharing a life together. It was as if something out of his control pushed the two of you together. Simply you were meant to be. So why had he pushed you away, so far and so fast? Possibly in the mix of high emotions, he was strung along with the fear of being left all alone again. However, in the process of him covering his own ass, he had offered you as a replacement for that loneliness.
Still hobbling over the cracked cobblestone streets, the rain had begun to fall. It felt as though the world was mourning your absence from it as well. With the rain coating the worn smooth stones, the ground became slick. Making it harder for Viktor to walk home, he roughly slipped a handful of times. His cane giving way to the loss of friction and small pools of water, Viktor collided with the stone ground. Hiding his face behind his hand, his body shuddered giving into the dark thoughts that creeped around the edges of his mind.
“Coward! Deserter! Shameful!” The words screamed in his mind as he tried his best to pick himself up off the wet ground. What good was he, sliding around amongst the wet street as if he was a fawn trying to make sense of their own legs. The longer he took getting home to you, the further you slipped away from him. With one last strong push, Viktor stood tall as the rain clung to his uniform. With more determination, Viktor rounded the corner placing your bricked home in his sights.
A bright mark, placed on the middle of the front door drew Viktor's attention immediately. The door had remained slightly ajar, but the center of the door was marked with your bloodied handprint. It was slowly being washed away as the rain pelted the door. Pushing the door ever so gently open, Viktor was greeted to his worst nightmare. Pitch blackness consumed the house, the only notable thing about the entrance was the overwhelming scent of iron.
Dried droplets guided his fearful steps up the stairwell. The carpet was deeply penetrated with the now rust colored blood pools. At the top of the landing, Viktor's trembling hand reached out for the light switch. The sight that laid before him, froze his heart in pure terror. The white painted walls were splattered with your handprints sliding your small frame down the long hallway. At the end, laid the splinters of the door to your bedroom and a large pool of what he assumed was more of your blood.
Shuffling his feet, Viktor walked down the horror scene gingerly. Avoiding the large pools of your spilled insides, he was greeted to the shattered door. The shards seemed to fall all around where you had laid. If only he had been here to help you, maybe then he wouldn’t feel this guilt. Where were you now? Was the only question that played on loop in his mind. Walking over to the floor lamp on his side of the bed, Viktor turned the dim light on. It filled the room with a golden glow, as more blood could be seen on the bed. Running his thin fingers over the now dry stain, the soft bed was cold. Wherever you were it wasn’t here. He had been too late.
Turning the light back off, Viktor left the room collapsing on to the top stair. He didn’t have the heart to see any more of the home. The house laid still and silent as the shaking man overlooked the bottom floor that was illuminated from the outside streetlight. The bright light poured into the darkness that filled everywhere. After a few moments, when the fear released its chokehold on his heart, Viktor rested his elbows on his knees. Allowing his hands to cover his face, as he sobbed. His broad shoulders heaved as the grief hit him in waves.
A shifting noise could be heard from the now dark bedroom that he had just been in. “(Y/N)” Viktor called out in hopes you had just been hiding from him. Silence. He stood up on his weak knees, stumbling over his own feet as he reached out for the darkness of the room. Clambering up once more, Viktor finally reached the room, turning on the main light this time. A shadowy figure leapt from the second story window, softly landing onto the bushes beneath them. Quickly they disappeared in the nightfall that enveloped the streets below.
A soft, destressed voice called out from the lower floor. Viktor limped over to the railing, seeing Sky’s lit silhouette standing in the front doorway. She panted as if she had run the whole way here. “What do you want?” Viktor's voice was cold and broken, reflecting his inner world. “Its about (Y/N)” Sky huffed out mid pant. The tall man hurried to where she stood, did she know where you were? “Where is she?” He barked at his assistant out of desperation. “Can we talk inside?” Sky replied meekly, a sadden expression adorned her face.
With a defeated eye roll, Viktor stood aside motioning for Sky to join him inside. As he limped to the main room, he turned on the lights. The bright lighting coated the clean and hardly used living room with piercing white light. Sky sat down on the edge of the couch, watching Viktor lifelessly stumble over to the electric fireplace. Viktor turned around, leaning against the now warming tiles watching his assistant gather her courage to tell him what had happened to you. She averted her eyes, collecting her limbs in a tight ball. She hid behind her knees that were now pressing against her chest. “Sky I am not mad at you” Viktor finally spoke, his tone frank and lethargic.
“I know, but it isn’t good news I have.” She responded holding back tears of her own. She had finally put the past behind her, she was ready to be friends again. She had missed her best friend. And now you were just gone, dead to not only Piltover, but to the people who remained here that still loved you. No matter how foolish and reckless you were, Sky still wanted you in her life. Along with how visibly distraught Viktor seemed to be he was also missing you dearly. “Can you please come sit?” Sky pleaded with Viktor, rewarding her with his irritated sigh.
Flopping down on the couch, a rush of your scent filled Viktor's lungs. Everything about this house reminded him of you, if he could, he never wanted to leave here again. Unless you were by his side. One deep breath later Sky’s words finally left her mouth. “After you left, I couldn’t stand to be around Jayce. I left for the bridge in hopes I’d catch her if you didn’t.” Sky drew in more air then continued to speak. “She was there with Marcus. Then she attacked me in a blink of an eye.” With Sky’s shaky words Viktor looked over his colleague for any visible wounds.
Waving her hands, Sky continued “I’m fine. She didn’t hurt me.” Viktor relaxed at her reassurance before urging her to go on. “When she saw it was me she backed off, but she didn’t look to good. Really pale and covered in blood.” Viktor's eyes fell to the floor, you had played off the pain too well. Were you saving face for his sake? Now that he knew it made the guilt hurt worse. As if another thorn was hammered into his heart. “Viktor she is gone. (Y/N), she chose exile. I don’t think she is coming back. She said not to go after her.” Tears spilled from her eyes like small waterfalls.
Cupping his own face, Viktor hid the look of terror and shock. All of the air had left his lungs when the words spilled from Sky’s mouth. “Exile.” He croaked out as tears flooded his tired eyes. Viktor stood weakly, body shuddering trying to hold back the sobs. Walking softly passed his apprentice, lightly he placed his hand on her shoulder in hopes it would offer any form of comfort. “I am going to lay down, today has been a nightmare enough.” The frail man murmured, toddling off to the destroyed stairwell.
Sky’s eyes followed Viktor with worry, he never cried in front of anyone before. No matter how rough life had been to him, she had never seen him shed a tear. The shell of a man tripped, landing hard on the stairs and Sky reached out in an effort to offer help from her place on the couch. “Leave me be.” Viktor snapped out in frustration and sadness. She pulled away, opting to curl back up on the couch while he disappeared into the darkness of the top floor.
Wrapping a blanket that was once draped over the couch around herself, Sky chose to stay there if Viktor needed anything. Your absence was haunting everyone. Silence filled the house, accompanied by soft broken sobs from both occupants. The rain and wind battered the house filling the silent void. The fire roared covering the living room in a warmth that lulled a worn Sky into a twilight sleep.
At first the knocking barely woke her. Mixing with the wind, Sky was unsure if the pounding at the front door was even real. It had become rhythmic and rapid, prying Sky from her sleep. Leaving the warmth of the couch she managed to reach the front door despite her body screaming for her to return to the warm, soft couch. The door handle on the front door was cold, as was the gust of wind that greeted the groggy assistant. In the now open doorway stood a drenched, Jayce.
He was the last person that Sky wanted to see right now. The large man barged into the open door, with little regard of Sky. “What are you doing here?” Jayce questioned her before she had the chance to ask him the same. “I’m here to help Viktor and my best friend. Why are you here?” she snipped at him, clearly annoyed. “When no one came back to the lab, I thought you all went home for the night.” Jayce voiced. Sky glared daggers in the ignorant man’s direction. “Where is Viktor?” Jayce directed more questions at his colleague.
Sky placed her body in between Jayce and the stairwell before she replied. “He is resting.” Her voice was blunt and direct. “Well can I see him? I mean this is his house isn’t it?” Jayce looked up over Sky’s shoulder, trying to find a path passed her. Rage now simmered in her core the more Jayce spoke. “Do you not really get the gravity of what happened tonight?” Sky nearly yelled at him. The brutish man threw his hands up in surrender, in hopes Sky would back off of him. “Sky, she lied to us, she is working for the enemy.”
“(Y/N) is exiled. You stabbed her! She could have died because of you!” Her voice raised the more she had to explain the severity of todays events. “Why don’t you go bother that council woman your so fond of, have her explain all of this to you.” Sky was in Jayce’s face now, backing him out the front door once more. “You have 365 days a year to be stupid, why don’t you take today off.” She huffed, it felt as if steam would come off her breath with how hot she felt her raging fury.
Jayce was back out in the raging storm without having learned anything. “Have a good night.” Before the words could finish leaving his mouth, the door slammed in his face. Locking the door, Sky slid to the floor as the adrenalin faded from her body followed by the anger. More tears filled her eyes, “why has the council branded you the enemy?” She spoke out between cries.

There it stood, in its once welcoming glory. The streetlamp, casting dancing shadows of moths mid nightly flight over its bricked exterior. It was an empty husk of a house that was once a home. Peering into the dimly lit entrance, the silence filled your ears. Only a faint ringing could be heard, along with the soft clicking of your shoes against the tile. Ascending the stairs was an effort, maybe from the blurring of tears or the sharp pain in your side. You would have gripped the railing if it weren’t for the blood coating your digits, making everything slick.
A pitiful and bitter chuckle left your chest as tears continued to fall around your manic smile. Jayce really took the cake this time. Nothing could ever be his fault, for the sake of his ever-growing ego. This took backstabbing to a whole knew level you thought, reaching out for the door handle to your room. Your trembling hand halted your progress, mind, and body both screaming out in pain. “Damn it!” you roared, sending your shaking fists into the shut door.
Flashes of Viktor's betrayed features haunted you. The door was freed from its hinges as your fists continued to collide with the wood. His glowing eyes, brimming with tears as though his heart was shattering when he looked you over. No amount of apologies or pleading could fix this. The splintering wood scattered about the floor beneath you.
Collapsing to the ground, you let out a wail of agony. The tears flowed freely, staining your face. Ignoring the obvious pain, you rubbed your eyes in hopes it would ease the waterfalls they had become. Doubling over, another anguished scream left your body as your head pounded into the floor. ‘Why didn’t I just tell him!,’ ‘He was too good for you anyways.’ The sobs wracked your crippled, small frame.
“Hey Shadow, you in there?” a soft, almost gentle voice called out to you. The hurt choked you, stopping any attempt in answering the tenderness that was reaching out to you. The lean Enforcer slowly pushed open the ajar front door, being greeted to the lingering smell of iron. A small trail of blood droplets led up the stairs. Drawing his weapon, Marcus descended into the darken home, following the tracks you had left behind. Stepping onto the landing of the stairs, the smell of blood grew stronger. The hallway swallowed any signs of life in the total darkness.
Pulling out a flashlight, Marcus switched on the torch. Much to his horror the trail grew more gruesome, as you had used your bloodied hands to prop yourself up to make it down the hall. Bloodied handprints were dragged across the white walls adding to the grisly scene. In a tight ball at the end of the pitch-black passage was your trembling form. Heart-wrenching cries seeped from your shaking body, as a small pool of your own blood sunk into the carpet.
In seconds Marcus scooped you up from the ground, carrying you to your bed. Placing you ever so gently down on the comforter, his panicked eyes scoured your body. The weeping wound on your lower abdomen, had gone much deeper then you had originally expected. Peeling back the layers of your clothes, Marcus exposed your cut to the chilled night air that was pouring into your home. The pain of everything was becoming too much. “Come on Shadow, you gotta tell me what to do.” Marcus pleaded with you to gather some of your mind. Groaning out, you pulled out the neon purple vial that hung from around your neck.
Marcus grabbed at the small vial, pulling it from the chain that dangled in your trembling grasp. His fingers fumbled with the small lid, eventually prying it open. With a look of determination, he gripped your stained hand, holding onto you tightly. Plunging the contents of the vial into your open cut. Glowing purple lightning charted streaks up your skin. The pain was that like being burned from the inside out. Arching your back, your chest heaved as you retched out in immense pain.
A light trace of a purple glow circled your eyes as they finally opened. Marcus stood over you, pure terror covered his features. This man had played tango with the devil of the Undercity and watched his wife birth a small human. Yet, in this moment he was the most terrified he had been since watching the slaughter of his old commander. The bleeding had stopped for now, as the energy coursed through your body. Jolting up right you wrapped your arms around Marcus’s neck, “Thanks.” With a small, awkward pat on your back the man finally let out a sigh of relief.
“Come on, we gotta get going.” The coldness flooded back into Marcus’s tone. You nodded, bolting out of the bed, and darting for your go bag in the closet. Grabbing your equipment, you tossed the duffle bag over your shoulder. Your body still shook, jittery from what felt like lightning in control of your movements. So, this is what Shimmer truly felt like. It was a rush.
Your heart pound, breathing hard as the night air filled your lungs. Marcus turned to close the door behind him as the two of you exited the house. Reaching your hand out, you stopped him. Searching your shattered heart and destroyed mind, a few tears managed to form. Spilling from your puffy, red eyes. Your life in Piltover was gone. This part of you died back in that lab.
Wiping up the last bit of damp blood that clung to your skin, you placed a bloody handprint on the front door. Marking this home, the final resting place of your Piltover life. Closing your eyes, you turned towards the waiting Enforcer. A lifeless expression veiled your face, “We better get going.” Marcus nodded, guiding the way to the bridge. Out of courtesy he tried to remain to the shadows of the night.
As the two of you journeyed in silence, you finally spoke. “Why did you save me? You would have been doing the council a favor.” You questioned him bluntly. Avoiding eye contact, Marcus continued to walk for some time in silence. “Because what they did to you was wrong. That and you didn’t throw me under the bus.” He replied with a faint grateful glance.
The bridge came into view, wrapped in a low hanging fog. The vile smell of the Undercity had begun to fill your lungs. Diving into the fog, you gave pause. Someone was close by, trying to follow you. Was it Zevi, here to do more of the council’s dirty work or someone else. “Psst” you chirped at Marcus. He whipped his head around in your direction, “Wha..” before he could finish his sentence you had placed your hand over his mouth. “I’ll meet you at Silco’s” you whispered, releasing him from your grasp.
As he faded deeper into the heavy fog, you doubled back. Hiding your equipment out of sight, you sprung up, climbing a nearby tension pillar. The shimmer pumped through your veins like adrenaline on steroids. The knife that was once buried into you was now brandished in your grasp. Using your height advantage you dove once more into the fog, crashing your body into whoever was following you. “Ow!.... (Y/N)?” Sky’s voice rang out.
“Why are you following me?” Your voice was low and venomous. “Is it true?” She looked you over, seeing the blood stains and tear tracks. A pang of guilt washed over you, you looked awful. You knew that. Removing the knife from Sky’s side, you sat back on the cobblestone road. “Is what true?” you asked her, sliding the knife back into its housing. Tears brimmed her eyes, “Are you being exiled?” Another broken heart. You softly laughed, “Yeah I guess you could say that.”
Sky palmed at her tears, putting on a brave face. “Is it true that you betrayed us?” she stood back to her feet. A fire sparked in your eyes as you stared her down, “Didn’t you hear Jayce? I’m pretty sure the whole world did.” Bitterness, rage, and animosity danced among your tone as you replied. “Well, he is an asshole!” she exclaimed reaching her hand out to help you up from the ground. Shock was all you could muster in that moment, as you stared up at her. “He is.” She said shrugging, gripping your hand.
Pulling you to your feet, a sharp pain wracked your body. “Shit!” you yelped out, holding tightly onto your reopened wound. Panic filled Sky’s face; her hands came up in surrender. The shimmer was never going to last forever, you were just unaware of how fast it would fade. Walking slowly over to your gear, you gathered it while holding yourself together. “I’ll see you later Sky, this isn’t goodbye forever.” Offering a small fleeting smile, you gave into the death of your Piltover.
Before you could completely cross the bridge, Sky called out, “What about Viktor?!” Silence. Hearing his name filled you with more pain then you were ready to deal with. Choking out you yelled back to her, “Take care of him for me. Don’t let him come after me! That (Y/N) is dead.” Gathering your remaining strength, you completed your walk across the bridge.
Your first destination, Singe’s lab. Hopefully, he would be in a willing mood to patch this wound up. As your feet carried you forward, you took in the neon lights glow and pungent mist that covered everything. The buildings that lined the broken cobble street were held together with a lot of hard work and a prayer. It wasn’t like the prefect streets of Piltover, far from it actually. Piltover shown so bright in the sunlight, it was blinded to everything else going on around it. Having left that world behind something inside your chest desired to make this one work even more.
Pressing your destroyed uniform button up harder into your cut, your feet caught on the rough sidewalk. Tumbling to the ground, you threw your head back laughing at just how far it seemed you had fallen. People who passed you by, tried their best to avoid making eye contact, this display was a typical Tuesday night for them. “Hey stranger.” A familiar voice chimed out from behind where you had planted yourself on the ground. “Piltover finally taking out it’s trash.” The owner of the playful tone danced just outside of your reach. Whipping your head around you were welcomed to a happy sight.
There stood your sibling, a couple years older. They had filled out their lanky small form, toned muscle laced their arms. Along with their facial features mirroring more of your mothers now. “I’m in no mood dear.” You tried to sound playful in return, but it only came out dry and lifeless. A wide smile was plastered over their face as they reached down to lend you a hand. “You never change, still just like dad.” They chortled lifting you back onto your unstable feet.
“Come on we should get you to Singe, he’ll patch you up. Can’t promise it’ll be as good as Piltover.” Their tone grew harsh at the mention of the upper city and it’s people. You nodded, allowing them to aid you the rest of the way. With a swift, strong kick your sibling popped the door to the mad man’s lab. The cave hadn’t changed since the last time you had visited to receive a dosage for your mother. “Look at you go” You commented on the strength your sibling had accrued over these couple years. “Yeah and look at you. Piltover did you dirty.” With the second prod at Piltover, you were beginning to understand just how much hatred towards that place was harbored here.
The tall, spindly man loomed in the shadows observing you shamble into the dimly lit center of the room. The faint green glow coming from the vats, containing his precious Rio, lit up your skin. With his lanky, thin arms grabbing at your body, Singed, emerged. The long black jacket that clung to his skeletal frame and the truly manic look in his eyes terrified you. He reminded you of a spider emerging from their hiding place to descend onto their prey.
Once his mind came to the understanding that it was you standing before him and not just some bottom feeder your sibling usually brought home. His features lightened, eyes softening when he saw the damage to your body and the total exhaustion plastered over your physiognomy. “Hey old man.” You croaked out, the tole of your journey finally setting into your bones. Looking over to your sibling, Singed barked orders, “Get her onto the table. We have to work quickly.” Dropping your duffle bag to the ground, you were guided to a cold metal table with restrains.
Laying you down, your sibling began to strap your arms down using the worn leather bindings. “I’m not gonna lie, this might hurt like a bitch.” They chirped out, moving down to your ankles. Something about your silence pulled at your sibling, it was unnerving. Glancing up to you they were welcomed with the cold death-like stare before you parted your mouth to speak. “It can’t hurt any worse then what I’ve gone through today.” Your eyes were glazed over with the memories of the surface. Pulling the bindings tighter, they reached out for your hand. “Well, your home now. No one is going to throw you away.”
“Welcome Home.” Singed’s voice hissed as he appeared over your bound body. Placing a gag into your mouth, he snaked around the table. Hooking up wires to your chest and forehead, a syringe plunged into exposed skin on your arm. Wincing at the suddenness of the sharp pain, you let out a muzzled gasp. Before the world faded you felt the cold air of the cave coat your skin as Singed cut away your clothes. The wound had healed poorly, trapping accelerated infection under layers of fresh skin. When the Shimmer came into contact with the unclean laceration, it had started the healing process of the skin nearby.
The infection was seeping into your blood stream, Jayce having managed to nick a major vein. “This is going to hurt, princess.” Singed spoke out before taking a scalpel to the new skin that had formed. He began skillfully slicing away the layers, exposing the hole that had refused to close from infection. Tainted, deep crimson pooled oozing slowly from the newly uncovered hole. Your body involuntarily strained against the straps that held you down. A warm, clean cloth washed away the infectious blood, being replaced by a medicated liquid. The burning and pain was so intense that your back arched away from the metallic table as you screamed into the gag.
The leather on your right wrist finally gave way as you continued to rage against its constraints. Your sibling dove for your freed appendage, using most of their newfound strength to hold you tight. “Almost done here. Hold her down!” The scientists growled, as he plunged another needle into your abdominal muscles. Your body fell limp as a warmth spread to the edges of your mind. You felt nothing after that last injection, finally able to drift off to an unconscious state.

Forgotten Library
Happy Valentine’s Day

His name was Viktor. Even his name sounded so good leaving your mouth. Hair was made up of long strands of the warmest chocolate, pushed back to frame his striking face. Viktor's face was narrow, with impressive sharp edges, from his cheek bones to his stunning jawline. The pale skin that covered his features was as white as fresh fallen snow. His saffron yellow eyes glowed, following your every movement.
Viktor had placed his book down on the table in front of him to watch you walk about the library. The two of you had met in this exact library just over a year ago. It was a small forgotten library, that mostly only staff used for research. There were only a handful of tables and chairs housed between cramped bookshelves. Every time the door to the room opened a small cyclone of dust would take to the air. This place house many books that had long since been forgotten or fallen out of print.
It was where the two of you spent most, if not all of your free time. Wandering the rows of outdated and well-loved books. Often Heimerdinger would accompany you, studying in silence as you and Viktor gave each other subtle glances. Had it really been over a year now, you thought to yourself as you pushed an old book back into its place on a wrecked shelf.
Your thoughts recalling a memory from about a month back, while sitting by yourself, you were growing attached to your reading partner. The door slid open with a thud, sending the dust flying into the air. Viktor stood in the doorway, panting. His cheeks were splashed with a soft shade of pink as if he had run the whole way here. Your eyes peaked over the other side of your book, taking in his disheveled presence. Bringing your eyes back down to the faded inked pages you hid your pleased smile, he hadn’t forgotten about you.
The tall man hobbled his way over to where you sat, surrounded by study material. “May I join you?” his breathless accented voice rang out over the silence of the Library. Shutting the book gently, you peered up to him, “I was waiting.” Your tone was playful and soft. The amber of his eyes lit up as he pulled the chair from underneath the table. A sigh left his thin lips as he sat down and turned to you. “I do apologize for keeping you, what do I owe you?” Viktor may have been apologizing, but a sly grin formed on his face.
Leaning forward you placed your head on your fist to prop it up and hum. “Let me think on that one.” You replied freely shooting him a matching grin. The two of you chuckled before Viktor pulled his notes out from his bag. He began to establish his workspace as you watched him meticulously place his materials all about him. His thin, frail hands reached for one of the books you had sat in a tower. Pulling it close, he studied the cover before looking over to you. In an instant you snapped out of your trance, adverting your eyes.
A small chuckle could be heard, before you reopened the book laying in front of you. The next few hours were filled with the faint scratching of a pen and paper. Along with the flipping of pages and closing of books. Gentle scraping of your chair captured Viktor's attention. Standing to your feet, you raised your hands into the air arching your back in a much-needed stretch. Your uniform shirt lifted exposing your skin to the warm, stuffy air. A shock of cold had your body recoiling from the touch, darting your eyes down to where Viktor's fingertips connected with your skin. The man seemed transfixed and curious at just how smooth and soft the skin pulled over your hip was.
Bright red roses would have been put to shame to be compared to how red Viktor's face became when he was caught. You had tried your best to cover your mouth, but a small squeak had escaped exposing your enjoyment. He retracted his hand at lightning speed, embarrassment flooded his features. You offered him a small smile before pulling your shirt down to where it was supposed to rest, grabbing at the book you set down. With a few delicate strides you were standing before the most rugged and sad excuse for a couch, however it was leagues more comforting then a wooden chair.
Sitting down, the couch let out a cry under the new added weight, but it held strong. The cushions smelled the same as the books, dusty. The fabric was velvet and a dark shade of green, it was incredibly soft and welcoming. Curling your legs under yourself, you nuzzled deep into the couch being blanketed in the dimming light of the setting sun. Propping the book in your lap, you returned to studying the page. No matter how many times you read and reread the passage it didn’t want to stick in your mind.
Only the feeling of Viktor's cold hands tracing your body, played on loop in your mind. ‘Had he really meant to touch you?’ you pondered. The thought was taking up so much space in your mind, making it impossible to get any reading done. “Viktor?” your pleasant tone beckoned for your partners attention. Lifting his warm honey orbs from his research, the man raised an eyebrow, humming out his curiosity. “What kept you today?” you questioned him, in your best attempt to make small talk. In hopes to free your mind of the consuming thoughts and subsequent feelings.
Viktor watched you fascinated with your features coated in the waning sunlight before answering. “I was helping the professor with an experiment.” He replied grabbing for his cane. As he had been studying you, you did the same. Noticing his waistline had thinned since the last time you had observed; he truly was a tall spindly man. The soft clinging noise of his metallic cane filled the small room as he limped his way over to you. Placing the cane on the armrest of the couch, he lightly plopped down onto the cushion next to you. Another whine from the elderly lounge as it willingly held your combined weight.
Bringing the book from your lap up to your face to hide the wide smile that was forming, you were pleased he had joined you. Crossing his legs, Viktor used the armrest to prop himself up and continue his reading. From behind your hiding place, you stole glances at the man while pretending to read. The setting sun had painted his pale skin like a high-end canvas. With shades of red and burnt orange, highlighting his prominent features with a pale bright yellow. He was a stunning work of art; you would never get sick of looking at.
After another hour had come and gone, the sun disappeared behind the taller buildings that surrounded the school. A large yawn erupted from your chest; your eyes watered as you took in the musty air. Concentrating had become difficult as the lines blurred and became unfocused with your tired eyes. Closing the book, you stole another quick glance. The book had fallen from Viktor's hands, landing at his feet as a puff of air left his lungs. You smiled freely, “Great minds think alike” you chirped out to no one in particular. Being Heimerdinger’s assistant must be hard work, as Viktor always seemed worn down.
With a deep breath you gathered your courage, placing your head on his narrow shoulder. He certainly was a boney man your thoughts rang out, as you cuddled closer to his resting form. Viktor shifted slightly, causing your body to rest against his chest instead. Blush warmed your face, releasing heat all the way to the tips of your ears. It had only taken a few rhythmic beats of his heart, coupled with the rise and fall of Viktor's breathing to send you drifting off to sleep.
A light snore startled Viktor awake, as his body attempted to lurch forward it halted under an unusual weight. He blinked the sleep away from his eyes, to be graced with the top of your head resting blissfully against his chest. The angle he had fallen asleep was very uncomfortable, his neck screamed out in pain, however in this moment it meant very little to him. You of all people were laying with him, happily sleeping the night away. His heart raced with joy that you had sought comfort in him. For you it may have taken a couple of months to fall for Viktor, but for him it had been love at first sight.
Now here you were, snuggled tightly in his lap. Sharing your warmth with him. Viktor couldn’t help but lean down and place a small kiss on the top of your head. Soon the pain of his position took over and he knew he was going to have to move if the two of you were going to stay like this any longer. Slowly he wrapped his lengthy arms around your small waist, gently lifting your hips allowing him to slide one of his legs underneath you. Inching his way down the couch, he inched you up until your head rested properly against his whole torso. This angle allowed him to lay his head down on the armrest and wrap his body around yours.
Staring up at the window that overlooked the small sofa Viktor observed the light rainfall that had begun. He was so grateful for this small, cramped, secluded Library. Even if it had been full of so-called undesirable literature, the most desirable thing was housed here for him and him alone. You. The two of you slept for another several hours, before a pair of scurrying feet stopped at the ledge of the couch. A tiny, fur-covered hand reached out, tapping your arm. With a jolt you arose, your hair clinging to the side of your face.
“My dear, you should rest in your own dorm. A library is no place for napping.” A kind chortle graced your ears. You rubbed your eyes clearing them, as they refocused you were greeted to a smiling Heimerdinger. With a sleepy smile you took his out reached hand, climbing out of Viktor's grasp. He led you to your things and out into the hall. Waving goodbye, you managed to walk down a few more hallways before arriving at your school assigned room. Cracking the door, you slipped into the dark room. Allowing your muscle memory to take over, your sluggish body collided with your feather comforter. Sinking in, you relaxed drifting back to sleep with ease.
Back in the library, Heimerdinger was nudging his sleeping assistant awake to do the same. “Viktor, my boy.” The elder professor called out as he tapped the thin man’s arm. Sitting upright, Viktor awoke to you missing and Heimerdinger calling for him. “Professor? Where is (Y/N)?” the groggy accented voice probed his superior. “She has left, I sent her to her room.” Heimerdinger responded quietly. A sadness filled him, as you had left without so much as a goodbye, maybe he had been overthinking your feelings. His tiredness often caused him to be quick to irritation. “I will take her lead, see you in the morning Sir.” Viktor voiced grabbing for his cane.
After that night, the two of you had been caught up in your personal studies. Rarely seeing each other, mostly during passing in crowded hallways. You had taken a chance, skipping your last class of the day. Sliding open the door, sent the dust bunnies running to the edges of the room. It was quiet and lifeless, except for the several lives written amongst the aged books. An audible sigh left your aching chest, it was surprising to you how much you absolutely missed Viktor's presence. Mindlessly you pulled books from their resting places on the shelves. Once a small tower formed you walked over to the table, placing them meekly on its sturdy wooden surface.
The scraping of the wooden chair filled the room, as you seated yourself behind your mountain of material. An hour passed by without disruption, the silence and solitude had been nice, but lonely without your study partner. A swift shuffle of the sliding door broke your concentration. You peered out from behind your book, remaining obstructed by the tower of books. A clinking noise of metal hitting the hardwood floors gave away the identity of who entered the room. “Viktor?” you squeaked out in happiness.
The man jumped as he heard his name being called out from a seemingly empty room. Rising to your feet you ducked out from behind the books. “Oh, it is you.” His tone was cold and straightforward. You took that as a hint, that he was in no mood to be friendly. Adverting your eyes, you sat back down. He placed his things down on the opposite end of the table, diagonal of your spot. This was unusual, as he preferred to share reading materials and study notes. You frowned as you watched him busy himself with his own note taking.
The sun began to set just like that night, you stood stretching exposing your midriff. The light danced along your skin, painting you in hues of bright oranges and yellows. Regardless of his current conflicting feelings, Viktor was drawn in by your beauty. Taking note, you ignored your raised shirt as you walked about the room to replace books. The burning orbs were trained on you as you floated about the room. His presence was suffocating, you desired for him to drop the annoyed act and go back to being your partner, but emotions weren’t that simple. As you reached high above your head, your shirt rose again. This time it exposed more of your elegant skin and the underlining of your bra. Viktor released a strangled groan as he watched you. Gathering himself he huffed and slammed both of his hands onto the table as he stood tall.
The sudden burst of noise made you recoil, nearly dropping the several books that were gathered in your arms. “I apologize I must be going.” He muttered in a harsh tone, collecting his belongings. Your hands trembled as tears threatened to fall, the fear of the unknown filled your pleading heart. As the man turned to leave you strode over to the table, scattering the contents of your grasp onto its surface. Nearly tripping over the pulled-out chair where Viktor once sat, your hand reached out as his fingers brushed against the door.
Thin, small fingers gripped the back of Viktor’s white uniform vest. Your knuckles turning white, as you held onto him failing to steady your shaking grip. “You owe me.” You blurted out, your voice quivering as the dam to your tears began to falter. Viktor remained turned away from you, standing in stunned silence. Those were the last words he thought you were going to say. “Ms. (L/N), please release me.” Viktor experimented with his angered tone, but it didn’t work. You snaked your arms around his narrow waist, pressing your warm chest against his well-toned back. “No, do you not remember? About a month ago, in this exact room you said you owe me.” Tears streamed down your face, making your voice waver with every new formed word. “I know what I want from you.”
Resting his cold, spindly hands around yours, he was greeted to your trembling, crying body. Sighing in defeat he pried himself free of your entanglement, turning about to see your weeping orbs. An annoyed face was falsely plastered on Viktor's face as he watched you intently. “And what could that be?” He spoke with little emotion as his heart too was breaking at the sight of your tears. “I know it is childish to ask this of you, but please be my Valentine.” You offered a destroyed smile, as the tears continued to fall.
This was all too much, Viktor finally gave in. “Why would you want such a thing?” pretending as if he hadn’t completely forgotten the day. Staring deeply into his golden eyes you gave him the reply he longed to hear, “Because I love you.” The bitter, misunderstanding that had hardened like a shell around Viktor's heart splintered, allowing your love to seep into the cracks. Grabbing you by the wrist he pulled you into a tight embrace. Your bodies melded together, in that cramped, dusty, forgotten Library.
Viktor secured your face in his hands as he parted your form from his, “I love you too.” The words stammered out of his mouth as he leaned down pressing his lips to yours.

A Zaunite in a Piltover World

With the crunching noise of the podium, all eyes fell on your trembling frame. Heimerdinger spoke not a word but sat there stuttering unsure of what would trigger you. It was clear that the boys knew very little about you and deserved to know. The small creature took a deep breath before collecting himself. He had brought you to the surface all those years ago and now it was his responsibility to set you free. He felt the need to tear the band aid off for everyone, you, the council, and your partners. “Boys, we the council employ a lot of people for the bettering of Piltover. From our Army to our Scholars.” He finally began in on his speech. Your gaze never left the man who once welcomed you to this world.
“Now, I don’t expect you to understand why we do what we do, however just know this is the last we will talk about this.” His voice was stern and unwavering as he spoke past you. Heimerdinger’s words were directed at the two stunned men behind you. “After recent events we have determined that the Undercity and its people needed more observing. We have employed several spies to relay information to us.” Heimerdinger cleared his throat before continuing. “There is a man who rules down there, (Y/N) is our connection to him.”
The silence from everyone was deafening, as Heimerdinger finished his explanation. “Only Ms. (Y/N) knows why the man is drawn to her, therefore we have very little trust in her loyalty. However, we need her, it is a necessary evil you see.” Rage filled your body, Heimerdinger made you out to be some evil, lying, cheating snake. Your face quivered fighting back the angry tears that threatened to fall. “We would love to talk with the two of you again after things have settled down. Take this time to find another engineer to spearhead your project and we will all do business.” His tone changed as if to dismiss them on a better note.
Jayce stood silently, motioning for Viktor to join him. Looking over to his partner all he saw was a shattered man. Everything in Jayce raged for him to tear you apart for your betrayal, but now was not the time to do so. He kneeled down and grasped Viktor's cold hand giving him a sympathetic look. “Come on Vik, we have to go.” Jayce’s voice was soft and caring, regardless of how he felt. Without another word Viktor stood grabbing his cane from Jayce’s hand and hobbled out the grand doors, leaving you behind.
Your heart shattered as you glared at each of the Council members. Mel spoke out admits the silence, “Please take a seat Ms. (Y/N).” her voice was cold. Your eyes fell to the floor as you knew what was about to happen. Your life here in Piltover was coming to an end, it was out of your control. “It has come to our attention that you are still doing dealings with the Undercity.” She informed you of her knowledge.
“And if I am?” you hissed out, curious as to what she knew that you didn’t. Sighing she continued, “We have our sources, they inform us your doing dealings with Silco’s men still. How much power do you actually have in the Undercity?” as she finished questioning you, you rolled your eyes at her. “Clearly your informants are lazy, if they really knew so would you.” Barking back at her, holding your information close to your chest. If they were going to banish you, then you were going to make it hard on them one way or another.
“Well, if you are more forth coming you may be able to remain here in Piltover.” She was trying to barter with you, by dangling a ruined life controlled by them over your head. You laughed “You just ruined my life here; you think I want to make a life here still? Do you really think Piltover is that good? You must truly be delusional.” Your venomous tone mocked her failed attempt to persuade you.
More silence filled the room, you could see them scrabbling for any way to make you talk. “Tell me who sold me out and I’ll tell you something of what I was doing?” you offered. All of them looked around, unsure of what you would do to the person who had betrayed you. Your info was worth the risk, they folded in a matter of minutes. “You can come out dear.” Heimerdinger chirped to a shadowed corner of the room. Their outfit disguised most of the defining features, but you knew who it was. The hair gave it away in a heartbeat, the shaved pink head strode to Heimerdinger’s side.
“I never would have guessed.” Your words staggered out of your mouth, hiding the pain that grew in your chest. “We all have our reasons.” The female voiced, dry and lifeless. You saw red, this was beyond betrayal. “I could only wonder what yours are……..Zevi.” your voice was wavering, the dam in your heart was breaking. Zevi just averted her eyes from yours, unable to withstand that pure hatred that was boring into her. Mel broke your stare as she cleared her throat, “Now it is your turn, Miss.”
You redirected your murderous gaze to her, sitting back in your chair. You let out a trapped sigh before explaining. “I have been working with a Chemist in the Undercity to find a cure for my mother. We have been using different formulas of his drug. You know it as Shimmer.” You put bluntly, weaving your information to leave out Marcus as your middleman. The room looked on you in horror, as you had been stringing your mother’s ‘life’ along this whole time. “That is inhumane!” Heimerdinger screeched. “I don’t expect you to understand.” You spit his words back at him with a vile tone.
Mel seemed unfazed, “How did it turn out?” she questioned you more. “She is still alive, after a year of your doctors doing very little for her.” You retorted. “So, you have access to the source of our drug problem? Anything else about Silco?” leaning forward, you clasped your hands in your lap and addressed her. “I haven’t seen him in a year. He has left me uninformed, knowing my mother was dying. He isn’t a monster.” She laughed at your comment of him. “It seems our definition of monster is different.” Now she was the one mocking you.
“What is it you want from me, oh great Council?” bitterness laced your words, as you through your hands into the air. Some of the council members flinched at your swift action, including Heimerdinger. “We want you to continue to use and spy on Silco for us. Simple as that.” You rolled your eyes at her input at the end. Nothing about your relationship with Silco was ‘simple’. “Fine, whatever. On one condition.”
Mel looked at you as if she was going to laugh, you weren’t really in a place to make demands, but she was going to humor you. “What is that?” she replied. You pointed over to Zevi with anger and hatred overflowing, “That, doesn’t come near me ever again.” As your words left your mouth Zevi’s distant demeaner changed. Hurt splashed over her features, what did she expect? Betrayal has a price to pay.
The members were all in agreement, as if they still held your destroyed leash. “As you understand whatever has been spoken about in this room, doesn’t leave.” The skittish male council member piped up, you chuckled at his attempt to sound put together. “Crystal clear.” Lunging in his direction as you stood from your chair. He cowered away from you, trying his hardest to curl in his chair to hide. Shaking your head, you turned to leave, you had to go explain to Viktor that this wasn’t your choice. You hadn’t intended to betray his trust in you.
Marcus stood outside of the door to the Council room. He jumped to attention as soon as he saw you exit the massive doors. “Hey Shadow? I have orders to escort you to the bridge.” He mumbled out. Your deadly glare met him, sending shivers down his spine. “Can you do me a solid Marcus?” the words left your mouth dryly. He nodded, willing to hear you out. “Give me some time to gather my stuff, I won’t be coming back for a while.” He understood, showing his hands in a sort of surrender. “I’ll meet you outside of your house in a few hours.” He saluted you and walked away, leaving you seemingly alone in the hallway.
A firm hand reached out, gripping your shoulder tight. Taking a deep breath, you glanced over your shoulder to see Zevi holding onto you. Fury and resentment flooded your mind, as the blade in jacket grazed your fingertips. Grasping the hilt hard, in seconds you were behind her with your blade pressed tight against her throat. Your other hand covered her mouth as you backed into the darkness of a pillars shadow. “I trusted you.” Your venom spit in her ear, “If I wouldn’t be surrounded and killed where I stood. I would drop your body right here.” As you finished with your threat, you flung her body to beside you and stormed off. She collided with the pillar that you had chosen to hide behind. Whatever she had to say, she could save it, you didn’t want to hear it.
This pass year had made you weaker, you had been happy and complacent. You could feel it as you sprinted to the shared lab of Jayce and Viktor. It was your only hope in finding and talking with Viktor, this had been a mistake. You had betrayed his trust again, but you were not the evil monster Heimerdinger, and the Council was trying to make you out to be. Rounding the corner the lab came within your line of sight, you forced your body to move faster.
Crashing into the front doors, you were welcomed to a locked set of doors. Looking into the building you could see the light was on in the lab, someone was here. Reaching for your hair, you pulled one of your strands loose. The bobby pin that had been holding it in place slid free. You pried it apart and began to work at the lock. Taking only moments, the doors popped open, and you were in. With quick strides you closed in on the lab’s door.
You could hear Jayce on the other side of the fogged glass window that the door housed. His silhouette pacing back and forth as he voiced his anger and pain. You paused before pushing the door the rest of the way open. The light from the room spilled out into the dark hallway, illuminating your small frame. Your eyes scanned the room for Viktor. Jayce was on you in seconds, the moment he realized it was you.
Anger burned in his eyes as he towered over you. You were trying your best to dodge and look past him to find Viktor. As you spotted your lovers frail frame, a large, rugged hand struck the side of your head. The connection made a loud smacking noise, Jayce had just hit you. It took a moment for your brain to catch up that he had actually found the balls to hit you. Viktor looked over to his lab partner shocked, dropping his eyes the moment they connected with yours.
Your eyes narrowed and darted up to Talis who loomed over you. In just as much shock as Viktor, Jayce looked down at you. His hand was trembling and beginning to redden from the force he used. “You shouldn’t be here!” He barked down at you after he collected his thoughts. Mania was flooding your thoughts and actions; you were at your breaking point with people who thought they had power over you. “Well, it’s a good thing I’m not here for you!” You bit back at him. “I came to speak with my partner.” You put plainly.
“We have nothing to say to you.” Jayce said backing away from you, walking over to where Viktor sat. “How could you keep this information from us anyways?” Jayce questioned you as if you were in the wrong. A manic laugh left your chest before you could suppress it, “You think I didn’t want to? You think I did all this to just hurt you?” You questioned the man back, as if he could really be this stupid. “I don’t know, you seem capable of killing people without a problem. You tell Viktor about all the men you’ve killed?” He through your secrets back at you, taking him to the Undercity was the biggest mistake you had made in the last year. “I thought you would understand, but I guess you’ll never really get it. Zaun is all about life or death.” You were hurt he still held that against you.
“That doesn’t mean you get to play god!” Jayce yelled, slamming his hands on Viktor's desk before looking back to you. You watched Viktor cower at his anger, something snapped in your mind. “If I hadn’t saved your dumb ass you’d be dead!” You yelled back, throwing the knife you had hidden up your sleave. It landed right next to Jayce’s head; it was only meant to scare him. Payback for scaring Viktor and yelling at you. No one was letting you explain yourself and you were running out of time.
“If you just let me explain you’d understand, but your too wrapped up in Mel to even listen to me!” You screamed at Jayce. The large man ripped the knife from the wall and held it in your direction. “We don’t need you. This was a mistake to even have you here.” Jayce was doing all of the talking, why wasn’t Viktor? Why wasn’t he at least trying to hear you out. “What did you do to him? Viktor why won’t you say anything?” You lunged at Jayce who was standing between the two of you now, brandishing your knife.
“Stop!” Viktor's accented voice rang out, halting you in your tracks. Your lover hid behind his tall counterpart, “You should leave.” As the words left his mouth a sharp pain tore your attention from him. You looked down, to see your knife buried into the side of your hip. Jayce released the knife as soon as he realized what he had done. Blood pooled around the new stab wound, as you looked Jayce’s face over. Regret and shock racked over his facial features. You pulled away from him, it would have been smart to leave the blade in, but the wound wasn’t deep enough to cause you to bleed out. You pulled the knife from your hip and applied pressure to the new flowing cut. Living and working with Zaun you had suffered worse.
“I get the hint.” Tears fell from your eyes, your window for explaining was closed. You turned to leave gripping the door handle with your blood covered hand. You pulled the door shut, slamming it hard sending the fogged glass flying around you. Jayce had collapsed to the floor, the adrenaline leaving him too weak to stand. As the glass scattered around you, Viktor looked at you for the first time since you had entered the room. The shimmer from the glass and the light catching on your tears, he finally saw you for what you were. A gorgeous shadow, that he was letting slip away from him.
You darted off, having rehidden the knife into your jacket. Leaving behind a destroyed door and a blood-stained handle. Viktor helped Jayce off the floor the best he could. “I am surprised she didn’t kill me.” Jayce muttered out quietly. The frail partner looked at Jayce confused. Viktor knew you weren’t ever going to actually kill him, hurt him maybe, but why would he think you would kill him? Jayce slowly raised his shaking hands.
Once his right hand met the light from the floor lamp Viktor understood why he feared you. The hand that had stabbed you was still dripping your blood. The brutish man’s face became pale as he quickly grabbed for a small waste bin, retching the contents of his stomach into the plastic lined container. As Jayce emptied himself into the trash, Viktor finally understood why his partner was afraid of you. “Did you hurt her?” Viktor questioned the ill man.
“Look it was an accident.” Jayce replied after wiping his hands and mouth. Viktor’s eyes grew wide in horror as he saw the traces of your blood all around the room. From Jayce’s hand to the drops on the floor and the handle of the damaged door. Viktor gripped the sides of his head as it raced and ached. He was so unsure of what to do, he loved you so deeply he was willing to risk everything. However, if this project hadn’t paid off he and Jayce were bound to be exiled again. Mel was one to hold her promises, now it was his turn to uphold their end of the deal.
As Viktor's mind raced with thoughts of you and your relationship, Sky peeked around the corner. Afraid to step into the piles of glass, she called out to Jayce to grab a broom. The large man was still gripping the trash bin for dear life, so instead Viktor tore himself from his thoughts and walked over to the door. Twisting the handle his fingers failed to grasp the doorknob. They had slipped on your still drying blood, “What have we done.” His soft tone spoke out as he finally pulled the door open.
“We didn’t do anything Viktor.” Jayce barked out from behind the bin. “She lied and hid things from us.” His words filled with malice. “Sure, she may have betrayed our trust. But we just threw her out, making us no better than the people we are trying to change. What if she wasn’t the one to blame?” the smaller man stood in the doorway, questioning everything he knew about both his partners. Jayce took a few steps towards Viktor to comfort him, “Viktor, come on. Stop being so biased. I get it you loved the girl, but you’ll find someone just as good or even better.” Sky braved the glass shards and stood before Viktor.
She glared daggers at Jayce, “She is and was the best thing that ever happened to everyone here! Don’t you dare throw her away that easy.” Sky gathered all her courage and looked Viktor in the eyes. “I have loved you since forever, but I don’t want you in my life without (Y/N) around.” She took a moment to look over Viktor before stepping aside to let him leave. With Sky’s words in mind, Viktor left. Limping down the hall after you. Back to the home you shared with him. He prayed he would make it in time.

A Zaunite in a Piltover World
Chapter 24: Just Say It!
Pairing: ViktorXReader M/F

The Hextech machine, better known as the Hexgate prototype, had already been delivered to the council members meeting room. It was an hour before your presentation, anxiety filled your stomach. While the men chatted idly, you had secluded yourself to a corner of the room. Having given hundreds of proposals before, this should have been easy, but this one felt different.
Maybe it was because this was your first demonstration to people of this caliber or maybe it was because you had people you cared about counting on you. Whatever the reason was, you had taken to isolating yourself. The boys were too involved with each other to take notice to you, but Sky noticed. She had been watching you for the last half hour slowly sink into your thoughts.
The two of you had hardly said a full sentence to each other in the past year. Your relationship with Viktor had cut both sides of your companionship with her. On some level you regretted letting your best friend go over some man. But you had tried for so long not to fall for Viktor, to the point of cutting him far out of your life. The whole situation was incredibly toxic and painful.
Despite how you felt towards her in the past, she had changed slowly over this year. Growing more into her own standing, not just in yours or Viktor's shadow. You really wanted to be proud of her, however bitterness still hindered your feelings.
Sky now stood over you, being greeted by your dull stare and apathetic response to her existence. She rolled her eyes at you and thrusted her hand into your face. Annoyance washed over your features before placing your hand in hers. She hoisted you to your feet and began leading you out of the room. Viktor noticed you were being dragged somewhere before Jayce caught on. The large man yelled after you, “Where the hell are you two going?” His barking only greeted with you raising your middle finger in the air.
“Um, Jayce.” Viktor's quieter tone drew Jayce’s attention. “What do you want Viktor?!” He snapped at his concerned partner. “The note says they will meet us there.” The frail man held up the sticky note Sky had left behind. Jayce just shrugged before sitting back down to finish his conversation with Viktor.
Being pulled along by your wrist like you were some toddler in trouble was not something just anyone could get away with. “Sky” you spoke out her name quietly at first, only to be welcomed with silence. “Sky!” your tone came out sterner, heavily laced with annoyance, still more silence. “SKY!” you finally yelled her name before she answered. “I heard you the first time.” She was cold but continued to pull you to a specific destination.
Relenting, you allowed her to just pull you through the streets of Piltover. After several minutes of guiding you, Sky paused and threw you forward. You played along with what she had imagined would happen, stumbling and looking back at her. Shutting her eyes, Sky took a deep breath before reopening them. Staring directly at you she finally spoke.
“I want you to know something.” She paused for a moment to make sure you were actually listening. When she saw you looking back at her, she continued. “This past year sucked without you. I will always have a love for Viktor, but I will always love you too.” Sky’s emotions began to simmer, and her eyes filled with tears.
“I have loved Viktor since I was a child. He used to hang out with a strange older man, in a lab all day. I would always watch him from a distance. I guess my fondness grew uncontrolled and uncontested for years.” Sky’s words spilled out from inside of her. “Then you came along. From somewhere so much worse then I could have ever imagined, yet you fought harder then I ever could.” She praised you. “I have watched you work with Viktor and the two of you belong with each other. You speak a different language; you can keep up with him when I can’t.” The tears threaten to fall from her eyes as she carried on with her confession.
“He chose you. And I would be a fool to keep interrupting that.” She muttered out. You adverted your eyes as they filled with irritation and anger. Throwing your hands into the air you spun around with rage. “Do you think I chose to ruin everything I had going for me? For some man?!” You barked at her. “I waited 12 years for you to make a move Sky! 12 fucking years! I didn’t even let myself be friends with him.” Your heart hurt at her words. “I wanted you to be there with me, I didn’t care about finding someone to date.” Your tone turning bitter. “Then jealousy and pettiness tore apart whatever we had. I fell in love with his mind and his kindness when my world was crumbling.” You swallowed hard, fighting back your own tears. “I love him so much, but it was never my goal to steal him from you, yet you treated me like it was all my fault.”
Sky finally realized what she had done. She held still and quiet listening to you voice all the pain being without her had been for you. You had always been a master at masking your real emotions, only opening up to someone when you absolutely wanted to. “I am so sorry I caused you all this pain too, you know.” You finished your rant catching Sky off guard with the statement. Tears spilled heavily from her eyes as she leapt at you. Wrapping her arms around you, you pulled her into a tight hug. The two of you stood in the middle of an alley, crying, and holding each other. All it had taken was an apology.
As the crying came to a halt, you pulled away first. Grabbing the end of your sleeve and wiped at Sky’s face. No matter how much, hatred and jealousy had happened, you still managed to baby her. She smiled, happy to know your friendship wasn’t at a complete loss. Sky collected herself before speaking again, “Now what is the matter with the council and this presentation?” her question returning to the problem at hand.
You let out a deep sigh explaining you couldn’t tell her, but your relationship with the Council was complicated at best. You feared that would ruin all you have worked for with the boys. It was all becoming too much. “Okay cryptic, have you told Viktor or Jayce?” she questioned you more, trying to find a way to help. “No, Jayce would have barked about something, and I don’t know what Viktor would think about it.” Fear seeped into your usually unwavering disposition, you had far more at stake then anyone else.
It was clear there wasn’t much help Sky could be in this moment, but she could rest easier knowing you had one less problem to deal with. In this moment you were grateful to Sky for breaking you out of your spiraling thoughts, and to have a chance to work on your relationship again. On the outside everything seemed to be going your way.
You pulled out your pocket watch, glancing at the time. Ten minutes remained until the presentation, shoving the watch back into your jacket. Sky jolted as you snatched her hand, tugging her in the direction of the Council Room. Once she finally caught on, she gripped your hand tighter and ran along side you. Blowing pass other students and staff, the two of you sprinted to the grand doors of the meeting room.
Jayce stood there pacing and sighing, worried you wouldn’t make it in time. He was growing more agitated by the second. Viktor nudged him when he saw you round the corner and run down the hallway towards them. Covering his mouth, Viktor tried to hide a laugh as you skidded to a stop in front of him. Jayce just rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. “What the hell took you so long?” He barked at you. You only narrowed your eyes and panted “I’m here and five minutes to spare, get over it.” Your response only made Jayce roll his eyes again.
Sky walked up to you, pulling at your clothes, and wiping your face down. You laughed at her grooming, as you felt a cold slender hand intertwine with yours. Viktor didn’t have to say anything, just gave your hand a tight squeeze. Your worries began to fade, this was going to work, it had to work. Sky moved to go fix Jayce’s distraught tie, as you shifted to look over to Viktor. You could see he was nervous too; a year of hard work was on the line. This project was huge for all of you. If felt like the final stone that needed to fall, to permanently free yourselves of the shadows of your professors.
Viktor pulled you in quickly, hugging you tightly. A slight tremble ran through his body, just strong enough for you to feel. The grand doors began to part, making way for your trio to enter. Swiftly Viktor placed a longing kiss on your forehead before Jayce cleared his throat. Notifying you that others could see. You pushed yourself away with a bright smile and took a deep breath in hopes it would steady your nerves.
Heimerdinger, may have been the oldest in the room, but his eyes had not failed him yet. He observed his young assistant embracing your small form. Ever since your reassignment, Heimerdinger had remained away from you, unsure of how to approach the topic. He had lost his faith in you, your work spoke volumes of your raw talent, but your heart never seemed to lie with Piltover. To him you were as gray and mystifying as the vile fog that covered Zaun. Out of respect for his assistant he withheld your background, knowing it was not his place to divulge that information. He frowned, unsure if the rest of the council would feel the same way about you now.
Your trio descended down the red carpet to where the council members all gathered. Three chairs had been placed in front of the semi-circle desk that housed the men and women of the council. All eyes were on you three now, along with the large machine that had been brought in earlier that morning. A large podium stood erect in the center of their circle, to give the main speaker everyone’s attention.
Arriving at the chairs stationed for you, the council motioned for you to take a seat. Doing so they went over the formalities and introductions of everyone in the room. Then Jayce stood, walking over to the podium. He placed down his paperwork and began in on his sales like speech. You had to give it to him, he was a talented speaker. Even you were surprised at how captivating he was. The emotion he had behind each statement was surprising.
Having worked with him over the last year, he had a lot to be desired when it came to well just about everything. Viktor had done most of the mathematical mapping and you had translated that over to the assembling and constructing the machines. You understood if anyone looked at your final designs and blueprints they would have no real idea what you meant by a good portion of it. In fact, if this was approved they wouldn’t be able to recreate the machine without you.
Jayce had the drive. He was usually the first one in the lab or the first to give you and Viktor a wakeup call. How he had that much energy that early in the morning would always be a mystery to you. It was clear this was his talent, and it was stunning to you. You stared at him in awe, watching as the others couldn’t take their eyes away from him either.
As Jayce’s speech came to an end, the nervousness in your chest was becoming more noticeable. Motioning back to where you sat, Jayce gestured for you to take over. Both of you knew Viktor would have been much better at explaining the math’s behind the Hexgate, but now it was up to you.
Gracefully you approached the podium, clearing your throat in attempts to suppress your uneasiness. The council stared you down, as if they were tearing you apart with their gaze. These people were nothing but cowards hiding behind their money and marble desk you reminded yourself. Your voice wavered as you started in on your explanation of the math’s behind the machine. As you described the math and how it pertained to the magical unit, your speaking relaxed. You had been right; without you this project wouldn’t have even taken off the ground.
Closing in on your big finish you waved at the men to start the demonstration of the machine. In a grand show you waved your arms in a sign for the council to watch the machine. It was a large golden pillar housing several Hexgem batteries and one stabilized Hexgem in the center. The Hexgate whirled to life as each of the Hextech batteries began to illuminate. A translucent stream began to form around the Hexgem in the center. Everything was going perfectly; the machine was 100% functional.
Viktor presented the next portion of the project. His accented voice carried barely over the noise of the contraption. Holding out a watermelon he motioned for the council to observe as he tossed it into the stream being created from the Hexgate. As it entered the bright blue stream the melon disappeared within second. Viktor explained there was a receiving machine back in their lab, that Sky was running.
As he described how the instant travel worked, a flash of light filled the room. For a brief moment, everyone shut their eyes, only opening when the brightness faded. There sitting in the middle of the stream was the watermelon. It had been cut into eatable slices and placed into a container. Viktor retrieved the container, opening it displaying it in the middle of the room for everyone to see. Smiles and subtle clapping filled the room, this was beyond anything that had ever been presented. It was clear that the council loved the idea and prototype of the Hexgate.
Jayce took to the stand once more. He conveyed all of the uses the Hexgate could bring to Piltover. It was a vast list, most of the council had a hand or two in the trading so they were head over heels for this project. You studied all of the members as they chattered in excitement, until one of the members caught your attention. Her name was Shoola.
Shoola was a gorgeous, proper council woman. Her skin was that of warm melted chocolate, dusted with golden makeup and accents. She wore a crimson vest, that was trimmed with more gold. What set her apart was her neckless, it was a mixture of gears overlapping that encompassed her neck. Her piercing maroon eyes bore holes into you, she was studying you back. The glare she was giving you was rather unnerving. She had always been on the side of Zaun and the undercity, but she was never aggressive enough to pose any threat to Piltover.
Jayce had returned to his seat next to Viktor, you were too busy staring at Shoola. Curious if she had been the council member Silco had met with when you had run into him. He was a charming man from the Undercity, you wouldn’t put it past her to fall for his scheming. A small, boney elbow poked into your ribs; it was Viktor breaking your staring contest. You offered him a small smile before turning to pay attention to Mel who was now speaking.
“Please allow us to discuss what you have presented to us today for a few minutes.” She offered for you three to wait out in the hallway until someone gestured for your return. Jayce was the first to stand and lead the way out of the large room. Viktor and you followed soon after. Waiting was the worst part, the time moved so slowly. Every minute that passed by was excruciatingly long, Jayce’s annoyance grew as he paced from one end to the other of the large doors. You feared that he was going to burst a blood vessel from sheer impatience.
Ten minutes went by, it had felt like an hour, the door opened a sliver. One of the servants was calling for all of you to return, the council had decided. The lights had been dimmed, for whatever effect they were trying to pull, you were unsure. Arriving to where the chairs had been placed, your trio stood waiting to hear the verdict of the Hexgate.
Mel was first to speak, “The Hexgates are approved, congratulations are in order.” The council all began to clap, as relief washed over Jayce. You could visually see his blood pressure fall. Heimerdinger finally spoke up, “I am proud of you all for using what you knew to make it this far.” He chirped out. The cheeriness faded from his tone. “However, it has been decided that you will need to find a new engineer.” His words had a hard time registering to you. “Not possible!” Jayce lashed out at Heimerdinger. “(Y/N), is the whole reason that thing is standing!” He fought with the councils choice.
Viktor sat down in silence; he was stunned. How could his mentor be saying such terrible things about you. Worry veiled your features and the whole room could see it. “I’m sorry my boy, it just won’t do. How much do you really know about your business partner?” Heimerdinger questioned Jayce. Jayce halted, shutting his mouth he knew that you had hidden a lot of your life away from everyone. He looked back at you; your small frame mostly hidden behind the larger chair. His gaze was full of fear and hatred, as he whipped around again. “We all know she is the best! We can’t do this without her!”
Jayce’s tone hurt, you wanted to disappear behind the chair. To leave the room and never return, your two worlds were colliding in the worst possible way. You peered over the seat to Viktor whose face was growing pale, here he was, having to choose between his two loves. Heimerdinger stood on his seat as he argued with Jayce, “There are plenty of talented engineers in all of Piltover, that would do anything to see the betterment of Piltover!” He kept reiterating Piltover and how important loyalty to Piltover was the issue. And it was.
A tear fell from your saddened orbs, your world was crumbling right before you. This past year going up in flames, over your loyalty to Piltover. Viktor watched you, as you looked on in horror. Seeing the tears fall from your eyes, he knew what Heimerdinger was saying was the truth, but was it just him who felt this way? As the screaming match came to a standstill, Viktor's quiet tone rang out. “Was this vote unanimous? Because over the past year (Y/N) has hardly left our side. She is loyal.” He was trying his best to speak for your character, in a small plea that you would be able to stay.
Heimerdinger’s eyes filled with sorrow as they fell to the floor, unable to look at his precious assistant. “Oh, my boy.” His words were soft and saddened. You shut your eyes in defeat, they had the right to know. They had every right to cut you off from their project now. “Say it..” Your words drew the attention of everyone in the room. You didn’t have to open your eyes to know everyone was looking at you.
Heimerdinger remained silent, you stretched your shoulders as you walked out from behind your hiding place. “Oh, come on now, don’t be shy. Say it!” venom spilled out from your voice. Jayce backed away from you as you made your way to the podium. He took his place next to Viktor as if to shield him from what was coming next. The humanity had left your once happy features, your stare could have given a polar bear a chill. A shadowy, death like aura flowed around you, as you took center stage. Pounding your fists down into the wood, a splintering noise frightened the council member. “Say it Heimerdinger, tell them what I am!”

Viktor groaned stretching his arms above his head, body heavy and screaming. Wincing at the soreness of his muscles a smile crept over his mouth, the pain from last night was worth it. A shadow shaded his eyes from the bright morning sun. Peaking his open, Viktor was greeted by the sight of you leaning over him. Quickly you pulled away and averted your gaze. “Good morning, Viktor.” your voice was soft and cheery. “Good morning, (y/n).” He exhaled, still trying to shake the debilitating soreness of his body.
Viktor watched you begin to turn away, you were fully dressed and ready for the day. He grabbed at your hand pulling you to him, nearly pulling you on top of him. Your hands planted themselves on either side of his head, as he craned his head up to kiss you. Happily, your mouth greeted his, parting to allow him access to explore it. Your tongues swirled in a delighted dance, mapping out every inch of each other.
You pulled away first, placing another small kiss on his forehead. “I wish I could stay longer, but I have breakfast plans with Arthur.” You explained, leaving the warm bed and your lover behind. Viktor nodded his head in understanding, content with watching you ready yourself for a breakfast with that large Enforcer man. Viktor had only met Arthur once, when you had introduced him at the hospital to the man and your ill mother. Much to your own torment, your mother had been barely holding on this past year. The doctors had been confused on her sudden longevity of life.
She was not being cured, as there was no cure for her dying body, however something had been sustaining her up to this point. You had been in luck, the doctors had all but written your mother off as just another dying Zaunite. This made sneaking in high dosages of Shimmer crafted by Singed, far too easy. Something in you wasn’t ready to lose your mom, but you knew deep in your heart that you couldn’t keep stringing her along like this.
A loud knock on your front door captured your attention. “That must be Arthur.” You chirped out to Viktor, who was still snuggled in your bed. “Don’t forget to get up soon, love. We have that meeting with the council later today.” You shouted out as you descended the stairs to answer the front door. In return Viktor let out a groan causing you to chuckle.
Swinging the front door open you were greeted by the large, bearded man. He was dressed in his Enforcer uniform with his hat removed, exposing his strikingly bald head. A wide smile spread across your face as you opened your arms for a hug.
He greeted you by pulling you into an enormous hug, wrapping you up tight and lifting you from the ground. As your feet dangled you laughed as he held you tight. Gently he placed you back down and righted his uniform. “Good morning Arthur!” Happily chiming out. “Good morning little sparrow.” His deep voice boomed out. This man had become family to you, close to a surrogate father. He often walked you home and checked in on you, to make sure you were eating and sleeping. Arthur was an incredibly kind and sympathetic older man, who had swiftly adopted you in your time of need.
He was one of the few people you whole-heartedly trusted to be in your corner if shit ever hit the fan. Locking the door behind you, you took the mans outstretched arm and began your walk to a local café. The two of you made idle chit chat about work and school.
Once you arrived a small hostess greeted you meekly, staring the vast man down. He was a rare sight, the Enforcers often stayed near the capital and school grounds. Arthur felt the need to be near you and your mother. He was even transferred to guarding the hospital near the bridge as a favor from Marcus. You had pulled a few strings, deciding to play nice with Marcus, not exposing his betrayal to the council. Arthur was happy with his position, which was all that mattered to you.
Arthur pulled out your chair, “Ever the gentleman.” You hummed, sitting, as he pushed you up to the small table. Taking his place across from you, he looked severely out of place in a chair that small. He seemed unbothered as he ordered a black coffee from the hostess and waited patiently for your order.
“Your mother seems to be a stubborn lady. I can’t lie I do enjoy seeing her, even if it is just a one-sided conversation over lunch.” Arthur spoke out, as a pang of guilt struck your stomach. He was the other reason you didn’t have the heart to let your mom go yet. You were unsure if Arthur would be this kind with you if he knew you were the one drugging your mom. “So how are your projects going?” he questioned you like a proud father catching up with a child.
You smiled once more, “Good actually today we have our big presentation with the Council about the future of Hextech.” Answering him as the hostess brought your breakfast up to the table. Everything was simple but delightful. Before you had the chance to stuff your face with the biscuits another person dressed in an Enforcers uniform arrived at your table.
“Ah, good morning Ms. (L/N).” Marcus’s voice hissed out, instantly souring your cheery mood. Arthur quickly stood at attention, knocking over the chair, and drawing attention to your table. Covering your face, you let out a groan of annoyance. “Good morning Captain!” The large mans voice roared through the quiet café. Marcus dismissed him stating he was here to have a “conversation” with you.
Rolling your eyes, you grabbed a few biscuits and took Marcus’s hand. Apologizing to Arthur that your breakfast date would have to wait. He waved you off, understanding you were a very busy person. Leaving behind your portion of the bill, you disappeared with Marcus in tow.
Once you were a reasonable distance away from the café you dropped the nice child act. The humanity leaving your once kind, bright orbs. The two of you walked through the alleyways, choosing to remain mostly unobserved from the public eye. “What do you want Marcus?” Venom laced your tone as you let your irritation show. He had also dropped his nice Captain act, to only be replaced by a nasty, lowlife snake.
“He is asking about you.” His voice was low and stern. “He wants to know when you would like to come and speak with him, it’s been a year already.” He began to bark at you. Your eyes narrowed as your fists began to ball. “I am not anyone’s property; you can’t move me around like some pawn.” Biting back at his bitterness.
Marcus threw his hands up in the air with aggravation, “I am the Captain of the Enforcers for heavens sake!” He yelled, nearly drawing the surrounding attention to himself. Grabbing the man off guard by his throat, you pushed him further into the shadows.
Elsewhere in the vast city of Piltover, your lover waddled his way into his now growing lab. Softly he pushed the door open to be greeted by Sky and Jayce who had been bickering. “Why are you two squabbling this early in the morning?” Viktor's voice broke the silence in the room. Two pairs of eyes darted over to the frail man standing in the doorway. “Where’s (Y/N)?” Jayce asked his partner.
“Good morning to you too, Jayce.” Viktor’s accented voice rang out. “We were arguing over whether or not to go out tonight to celebrate after the meeting with the Council.” Sky informed her superior. Placing his bag down at his desk, he staggered over to the couch that took over one of the walls behind the entrance. His body still screaming at him to rest off the stiffness of last nights events. “I don’t think (Y/N) will care. If this goes over well, I think a nice restaurant tomorrow evening would be better.” He took enjoyment in popping their excitement bubbles, reminding them that this presentation could still fail.
Jayce easily shook off Viktor's skepticism, his head always looking forward. It is what made him easy for everyone to follow his brilliant ideals. To most it came off as cockiness or over confidence, most being you, but Viktor understood his partners drive.
Sky spoke up, noticing that Viktor was moving slow and pained. “Viktor are you alright?” She questioned her mentor. “Just sore from my night last night, it was my anniversary with (Y/N).” he made her aware with out going into too much detail. Nodding her head, she offered to fetch some medicine to ease his pain. Viktor gratefully took her up on that offer, waiting for her footsteps to fade.
“Jayce.” The sickly man called out to his other. Jayce granted him his attention, setting aside his notes and speech. “I think I want to marry her.” Viktor spoke quietly at first. Jayce stared at him in stunned silence, “Are you sure?” The larger man finally summoned the words.
After a long and awkward stint of silence Viktor expressed how he felt, showing clear signs of nervousness. “Viktor! This is wonderful news! I am so proud of you.” Jayce was delighted, standing to go hug his partner. He easily lifted Viktor to his feet in a vast bear-like hug. After a few pats and coughs later, the large man freed his frail colleague. “When? Do you need help planning?” He had a million and two questions to ask Viktor.
The two men chatted, until Sky returned then the room fell silent. Sky handed over the medicine to Viktor and a small glass of water with a smile. “We should prepare for the presentation.” Jayce finally broke the quietness. Viktor quickly took the medicine and stood to retrieve his notes. “When can we expect (y/n) to join us?” the question directed at Viktor. He shrugged, unsure of anymore of your plans for the day. Jayce understood, it was time for his part of this partnership, the face, and he was going to do that part to the best of his abilities.
Marcus coughed hard, rubbing his neck after you released him. Swiftly you replaced your fist with a sharp knife. “Ah I see you never change, Shadow.” He spit out, anger and fear creeping into his eyes. Knowing full well if you were caught right now, there was no explaining yourself out of this. Adverting your eyes, you slid the knife deep into the innards of your uniform jacket. If violence wasn’t going to work, maybe threatening him would play out better. You felt gross at the options that flooded your mind.
Turning around, you noticed the people who saw him had chosen to move on, ‘smart idea.’ When your back faced Marcus you finally voiced your threat. “How is that newborn treating you? Getting enough sleep Captain.” Ice coated your inflection on the word ‘Captain’. You half expected him to lunge at you, apparently he was learning. Coming full circle with your turn, you were greeted to a horror-struck man. He had hardly told anyone about his child.
“You know I spend a lot of time in the hospital too. Dying is hard, even when its someone else who is doing it.” If your voice had been anymore lifeless you would have been a doll. “So, you’ll tell him, I will come when I please.” In this moment Marcus feared you far more then he had ever feared Silco. A nefarious grin spread across your once pleasant face, taking pleasure in his fear. “Once a coward, always a coward, don’t ever change good Captain.” Dropping your smile, you stepped out into the sunlit street.
“Well, come on you have to explain to the boys as to why I’m now late.” Barking back at the Enforcer. Steeling his nerves, he righted his tie and joined you in the bright sun. “Why do you do this?” he sputtered out, curious why you chose Piltover to study in. Looking him over, you noticed he was being sincere with his question. “It has always been my dream to study here, that was before I knew about the sun.” Your answer had only confused him more. “Growing up in Zaun you’re lucky to see it, you have to get good with what you are given. Yet it is always here and always intrusive in Piltover.” Sadness filled your features, remembering your father and siblings had always been buried in the gray underground of Zaun.
“Everyone is intrusive here, including the council. And now I can’t even study until late at night when the sun is already far gone.” Clinching your fists, you tried your best to hide the rising anger. “In the day, they can see everything so clear. But if you put them in the dark your free to move and go as you please.” Marcus took this opportunity to study you, how your mind worked. You were much like him, trying your hardest to save a dying dream. “If I wanted to study in the dark all the time, I would have stayed home in Zaun.” It was clear, working for the council and working for the school had jaded you to the surface of Piltover.
“Then quit, leave this place.” Marcus chimed into your rant. You dryly laughed at his simple reply. “Why don’t you just leave Silco.” You put plainly before shooting him an angered glare. “Yeah, I’m sorry.” His apology was quiet and full of regret on your behalf. “Don’t pity me, I will free myself from the shadows.” Your glare eased and a faint sad smile brushed over your lips. You elbowed him, “I’m not a coward.” You remarked, as he shot you a nasty look in return.
The rest of your walk was, quiet. Both of you had come to an understanding of each other, your hands were tied. The silence was broken by the labs receptionist greeting you and Marcus. You waved and smiled wide at her, walking into the narrow hallway towards Viktor and Jayce. Marcus sulked behind you, trying to come up with some lie to get himself away from this situation.
Opening the door, you dodged a flying chalkboard eraser as the boys bickered with each other. “Hello?” Their angry glares met your small frame, only to soften when they saw Marcus standing behind you. “I ran into Marcus on the way here, sorry we got distracted talking about improvements to the Enforcers equipment.” Lying on the spot was never your forte, however Marcus was grateful you had come up with anything. His mind had gone blank the moment he saw the two scientists. “Yes, I apologize for monopolizing her time. Good luck today.”
Marcus tipped his hat at you and turned quickly to flea the prying eyes. As he scurried down the hall you called out after him, “Don’t forget to tell him to wait just a little longer. And good luck with that kid.” He froze, then rose his hand to wave that he understood without turning to face you. “I know, I know I’m late, you can chew me out now or after we ace this presentation.” A charming grin made its way onto your mouth, as you directed your statement at Jayce.
“I get you have other priorities.” He dismissed your playfulness and went back to bickering with Viktor. “Why are you arguing now?” you asked walking in between both of them.
Viktor spoke first “He wants me to speak, in front of the council.” He was obviously distraught at the idea. “I mean you did most of the calculations for the project, they would probably want to hear your reasoning.” You offered your two sense before Jayce exploded with happiness. “Exactly! That is what I was trying to get through to him. Viktor listen to us; you can’t miss this chance.”  Jayce’s voice boomed.
“Jayce you have to understand, as well though. Public speaking isn’t for everyone.” A pout formed on his face, like a child being told no. “I don’t need to explain myself to anyone. It works and that’s final. Can’t they just be happy with that?” Viktor said sitting down and patting his lap for you to come join him. You shook your head and laughed before eyeing down your partner. “Not everyone is as smart as you Viktor.” A sweet softness filled your voice, he drew out all of your good qualities. Slowly you paced over to where he sat.
“Especially some members of the council, they can be so dense.” Your statement, meant as a jab to Mel. Sitting in Viktor's lap with a small wiggle. You sat there as if his lap was your throne, with Viktor's head resting against your spine. Wrapping his arms tightly around to your front, he inhaled your scent. “I’ll do it for him Jayce.” Jayce sighed at your offer, “Fine, then Viktor can run the machine. But one of these days I will get you on stage with me Viktor.” Jayce’s tone tried to come off threatening but fell short as his gaze met yours. Even a year later he was still terrified of you.

Steam swirled around your head as your eyes rolled back. So close, you were so close. Your hand darted down to intertwin in the long chocolate locks, gripping tightly. The tugging at his hair had Viktor moaning against your clit, sending vibrations straight to your core. Throwing your head back, a light thud against the foggy glass shower wall. Your moans and cries filled the air as Viktor swirled his tongue before sliding one of his long digits deep inside of your begging entrance.
No matter how many times Viktor touched you, your body always responded as if it was the first time. Fire raced from every place on your body that his mouth licked and kissed. The fire turned into electricity as his finger struck home. The bundle of nerves was being caressed as Viktor hummed into your sensitive nub, your core screamed for release.
As your legs began to shake uncontrollably, threatening to fall from underneath you, your partner withdrew himself from the floor. Slipping his finger from inside of you, eliciting a cry from your mouth. He stared up to you, watching you intently as you eyed him angerly back. You assisted him to his feet as he spun you around, pressing his warm body against yours. Your head lulled back and cradled in the crook of his neck as he lifted one of your legs. Slowly he guided his twitching member against your dripping folds.
Trying your best to balance against the slick wall of the shower as Viktor teased your pleading cunt. “Viktor, please.” You begged out. Only to be graced with a low chuckle and a sudden jerk of his hips. The tip brushing against your already abused clit, the stimulation was enough to send more sparks to your core. “Please what?” his low accented tired voice whispered against your ear. Looking back to see the evil grin that covered his mouth, you pleaded with him to fuck you.
The tall man continued to grind himself against your wet entrance, not wavering in his stance. “Viktor please fill me.” There it was, with no second thought he pulled his hips back and filled you in one swift movement. A soft string of profanities fell from your mouth at the sudden fullness. He adjusted your held leg as he waited for you to give him a sign you were ready for him to move.
When Viktor entered you, you could feel every inch of his throbbing member. Even after all this time he still stretched you when he bottomed out like he was now. Your body began to ache, ache for more than just being filled. You tried wiggling your hips to let the man know you were ready, but he didn’t budge. That wicked grin was still plastered on his face as he looked down on you, he loved to hear you beg him for what you desired.
You looked up to him with your lust filled eyes and begged “Please Viktor, fuck me until I can’t walk tomorrow?” a low groan left his chest as he jerked his hips back and started to pound himself into your greedy hole. “Oh, you are so tight.” He said with a slight wince as he continued to thrust himself into you. It had been a couple of weeks since the last time he had come over to spend some time with you.
All that could be heard in your ears was Viktor’s labored breathing and the wet sounds of your skins connecting. Groaning out his name, he responded in kind. Snaking his free hand around your hips and down your front. Slowly he felt his way to your clit and rubbed small circles, being rewarded with more of your cries. “Such a good girl.” He moaned out as your walls clinched around his member.
Waves of pleasure crashed over you with every forceful thrust Viktor gave you. “Vik…I am ..so close.” You pleaded with the man to let you cum this time. Your core tightening as the tip of his cock collided into your bundle of nerves. Arching your back you let out a cry of pleasure, Viktor took this time to place a few small kisses along side your jaw. “Almost there my love.” His hot breath ghosted the crest of your ear. Viktor's grip on your leg and waist tightened as he drew closer to his release.
His thrust grew sloppier and lacked all rhythm. The walls that surrounded his member were twitching and sucking him in deeper. Viktor panted hard and gripped your thigh tight as he released hot white ribbons inside of you. The sensation of Viktor's release and the build up all came crumbling down, as your climax struck you. The world around you turned white as your head spun, crying out Viktor's name. He thrusted a few more times to help ride through both of your highs, then released your leg gently.
Viktor planted his free hand against the shower wall, as he wrapped the other one that had been holding your leg, around your waist to support you. You slowly came to as your body was shaking, the water started to run cold. You reached out gingerly from underneath Viktor to turn the water off. Retreating back to where your body had been, the room was surprisingly cold, your naked form curled up against Viktor's larger one. He rested his tired body against yours, “That was amazing, you were amazing.” He sighed out. You hummed in response to his praise, your body was sore and tired now.
Before you could scurry away to a warm towel and the comfort of cuddles, Viktor lifted your face to peer into your eyes. “(Y/N), I love you.” His amber orbs burned into yours, his eyes housed so much passion and love. “I love you too, Viktor” you replied with a wide smile. This man always had a way to make butterflies dance in your stomach.
He pulled you into a deep kiss, wrapping you in his arms, holding you tightly. A small shiver ran through your spine as Viktor released you from his grasp. “We should get dressed before we catch a cold.” You voiced pulling at the shower door. He followed close behind you seeming to tremble too, but he would never admit that. You handed him a fluffy towel, turning back to nuzzle your face into yours. You would never take advantage of warm clean linen, especially with how many years you had spent in the Undercity.
As you were distracted by the comfort of your warm towel Viktor limped pass you, into the closet. He pulled over a loose, long black sleeve shirt and a fresh pair of underwear. You had finally convinced him to let you buy him some clothes for your home from when he stayed the night. He shifted through more of the closet before he found his favorite night gown you owned.
A small dark green satin dress hung from his fingers as he exited the attached room. “You tried hiding this didn’t you?” He let out a low chuckle. You poked your eyes out from your towel cocoon and rolled them. “Maybe I did, maybe it hid itself.” You giggled before hiding in the towel once more. Viktor gently hung the nightgown on the door handle of the bathroom before returning back into the closet to finish dressing.
You shuffled subtly over to the door and snatched the night gown off. Sighing you tossed it over your head and watched it fall gracefully down your body, hanging just above the knee. “Hey, you have any underwear in there for me oh great closet Troll?” You chirped, before hearing Viktor laugh at the name. “I just might” He retorted playfully. Viktor came limping out with two choices in his hands, both dangling out of your reach. You puffed your cheeks in disapproval at the display of your under things. One was a plain pair, your preferred choice, they were far more comfortable. The other pair matched the satin green dress that had adorn your body.
“Viktor please be nice.” You begged him to hand over your under things. A wide smile was ingrained on his face before he spoke, “There is no Viktor here, only the Great Closet Troll.” He announced waving your panties around. You leapt half heartily at the more preferred pair, as Viktor hoisted them higher in the air. His height advantage was unfair but not drastic enough for you to be unable to retrieve your underwear.
Resting your forearms against Viktor's chest you looked up to him, “Oh great and mighty troll can I please have some coverage for my womanhood.” You played along with this burst of childishness with an equally large smile. You truly loved this mad genius. He tossed the ones you had been hoping for behind him into the now darkness of the closet, your smile faltered only slightly. He bent down placing a small kiss on your lips, distracting you from him perching your underwear on your head.
He pulled away please with himself as he teetered his way out of the bathroom before you could react to what he had done. “Viktor.” You barked after him once you realized he had placed your panties on your head. You heard his wonderful deep laugh come from the dim bedroom as you tore them from wear they sat. Sliding them over each leg, you raced out to your bed to find Viktor laying in the middle. Diving on top of him, he let out a stifled laugh. You straddled his hips, now having the upper hand, you wiggled your hips.
His smile faded and a glimmer of mischievousness crossed his eyes. “Do you remember back when we first started dating?” He asked you as you rested your knees along his side. Tilting your head, you gave him a confused look before continuing to wiggle in Viktor's lap. He hissed at the soreness of his muscles and his rising arousal. “The time I got myself off to you in your old apartment.” He admitted blush flooding his face. “Ah I remember, are you finally going to tell me how you did it?” You mocked him, grinding down a little harder. Viktor groaned out as his member twitched to life again.
The shower had been amazing, but your body craved more. Your lust for this man had no limits, but you could tell there was something off with Viktor. “Is this too much for you?” Adjusting your hips once more, he gripped tightly onto your hips to hold you in place. “My body just can’t go like yours love.” Concern veiled your face as you tried to scramble off of him, afraid you were hurting him. Viktor picked up on your panic as he held you tighter. “You aren’t hurting me, I want you, I really do. But let me have this okay.” He released one of your hips and curled it around the back of your neck pulling you against his chest. “When I thought of you, I imagined you riding me until I came. Can you do that for me?”
Your body melted at his touch, but at his idea had you on edge. You had never been on top for anyone, your anxiety buzzed in your stomach. “I will try my best for you.” You lapped at his bottom lip, before it caught on your teeth. He shut his eyes and moaned into your mouth. Noticing his body was reacting to every little thing you did, you launched into an agonizingly slow pace of grinding your warm entrance against his clothed member.
Stripping the nightgown, you grabbed his hands from your sides and guided them up to your breasts. Viktor's eyes shot open when his fingers grabbed ahold of your soft mounds. You looked down at the man as you rolled your hips and bit your bottom lip. “Your so beautiful” he groaned out giving one of your nipples a sudden pinch. You released a small moan as you continued your slow pace. Viktor's member had come completely back to life at the sight of you grinding yourself on top of him. He would have come undone right then and there if this had been the first time.
But this wasn’t your first time, nor was it the first time tonight and he knew he wanted in you again. “Please baby.” His lust heavy accented voice whined out. It was his turn to beg you thought, as you paused your hips. A frown formed on his face at the loss of friction. You snickered out, before placing your hands over his giving your boobs a light squeeze. In that moment he understood what you wanted from him, Viktor leaned up and placed one of your nipples in his mouth. His expert tongue went to work as his other hand snaked around you grabbing a handful of your ass. Using the leverage of your ass he bucked his hips into yours, grinding the full length of his member against you.
Tilting your head back you let out a breathy moan, before placing your hands against his chest and giving him a push to lay back down. Doing as you commanded, Viktor watched as you leapt off of your partner and slid his favorite panties off. Flicking them at him, he let out a strangled laugh as they hit his face. Tearing them off his face he was met by a pleasing sight. A couple of your fingers danced in your mouth as your tongue swirled around them, coating them in a thick saliva.
Viktor stared intently at your mouth, as you pulled your fingers free sending them down your front. Once at your core you used your fingers to part yourself, showing Viktor just how bad you already wanted him. Your arousal covered your folds and began to drip down the inside of your thighs. He groaned palming himself as he watched you explore yourself. You were his stunning creature. His world.
Grabbing at your breast with your other hand, you caressed it lightly. Your head lulling back as you enjoyed putting on a show for your lover. “Viktor take them off.” Your voice was wavering yet commanding. Gladly he responded, by shoving his sweats and underwear down to his ankles. “Mmmm, good boy.” You praised him and walked over to the edge of the bed. Fingers coming to a halt, you crawled over to were your partner lay. His gaze was doing its best to devour every inch of your skin.
Straddling his hips once more, you hovered above his erect, twitching manhood. Reaching out the hand you touched yourself with, you placed it mere inches from his mouth. Viktor darted his tongue out, licking at the slickness that covered them still. He enjoyed the taste of you, mixed with himself, he moaned out around your fingertips. Gently you lowered your hips, so your wet entrance glided over the entirety of his member. The contact and heat made Viktor instinctually jerk his hips up. You shot him a glare as you held still, causing him to whine at the loss of friction.
Removing your hand from Viktor’s mouth, you place both of them on either side of his hip bones. This pinned the grown man under you, as you lifted your own hips. Lining his member up with your weeping hole, you sank back down onto it. Taking every inch of him in and bottoming out. Both of you released gasps as the sudden sensation.
Viktor’s cock twitched wildly inside of you as your hot walls surrounded him. He began to pant, trying his best to not cum right then and there. Your face was flushed as you held onto your breasts and looked down at Viktor threw lidded eyes. The man shut his eyes tight, trying to regain his control, this had been far better then anything he could have imagined on his own.
Viktor's trembling hands found your hips and gripped them tightly leaving behind red fingerprints. You watched the man closely before lifting your hips almost all the way off his cock and swiftly falling back down. “If you keep doing that I won’t last long love.” He choked out. Almost in a pained tone. You hummed a response before wiggling a little and slowly bouncing in his lap. He sighed at the slower pace, releasing your hips ever so much.
You continued to bounce as his eyes opened and watched you. Your breasts bounced and he could feel your ass jiggle when it connected with his thighs. His lust blown eyes watched you chase your own high on his hard shaft. After a while of watching, he began to thrust his hips up to meet yours, sending your mind reeling with pleasure. “You feel so good.” You breathed out between thrusts. His smirk was what sent you.
You held still as he looked at you confused, “Who is the one supposed to be in control here?” looking down at him with a wicked glare. Viktor placed his hands up in surrender as you grabbed his wrists. Fishing out the underwear he had tossed onto the bed, you tied his wrist together and pinned them above his head. Working your hips again, you let out a moan leaning forward allowing for his cock to hit you in your nerves.
Sliding up his shirt with your free hand, you exposed his chest. Peppering it with kisses then small hickeys and bite marks, Viktor's moans grew louder. With how much his member twitched inside of you, you knew he was getting close, as were you. Releasing him, you went back to bouncing forcefully on his rod, your timing failing you as your core grew tighter.
Viktor's tied hands came untied as he pulled them down to hold you in place. With a shout he released himself inside of you, feeling yourself come undone once more around him. Both of you panted out moans as you road out your highs. You slumped over onto his chest as his softening member slid out of you.
“I love you so much, Viktor.” You breathed out hard before he reciprocated the same. Shifting onto the soft bed under him, you whined as you noticed he was leaving the bed. Your puppy like eyes peered at him as he hurried to right his pants. He smiled softly at your saddened gaze before turning and disappearing into the bathroom.
Viktor returned moments later with a warm washcloth and something glowing behind his back. He leaned over the bed to hand you the cloth and then sat on the edge of the bed. You cleaned yourself as your partner continued his best to hide the glowing object. Once you were cleaned and clothed Viktor presented you with a small metallic rose.
The welding was very poor, and it looked like one of your first-year student projects, but Viktor beamed showing it to you. At the core of the metal rose was a refined splintered Hexgem, glowing bright. “I made this for you, I know its not great.” He mumbled on, before you tackled him. Placing kisses all over his face. Tears streamed down yours. “No one has given me anything like this before, I love it.” You cried out as he kissed you in return, happy you love it. “Happy One Year Anniversary, (Y/N). I love you.” He whispered against your mouth.
You pulled away and dove for your bedside table. Pulling out a small silver box, you came back and held it out. “I know this isn’t much, compared to your rose, but I want you to have this.” Viktor waited for you to finish, before he opened the box. Inside laid a small golden chain, he studied it then you. “It was my dad’s and he always wanted to give it to my brother, but you know how that goes. So, I thought he would want you to have it.” You replied happily, holding back tears. Viktor brought you in for a tight hug, knowing how much this meant to you. Pulling away he asked for your help to wear it.
Your hands trembled as they unclasped it, wrapping the frail chain against Viktor's thin neck. It hung barely visible underneath his shirt. Placing a small kiss against the metal and your lovers chest you fell back into the bed. The soft sheets surrounding you as Viktor curled around you. You balled up in the center of the mattress and Viktor's body shielded you from the outside world.
“We have a busy day tomorrow.” Viktor reminded you, you let out a long yawn before replying with a nod of your head. “Sleep well my love.” He said covering the both of you, “Ove..you.” You barely voiced before drifting off. “I love you too.” Viktor sighed out as he embraced sleep as well.

Carrying the large box wasn’t the issue, Jayce made it look far heavier than it actually was. The issue was seeing over it, carrying the box that dwarfed your torso, covering the ground view in front of you. Having to peek out from behind the large box just to make sure you didn’t run into anything or anyone, eventually you managed to make it to the front of the Mechanic Bay. A happy voice chirped at you as they held the door open.
“You finally decided to return to the land of promise.” Zevi’s tone was full of delight to see you. You smiled as a pair of metallic, long arms stole the box from you. Entering the hanger, you were greeted to several of your students happy to have you return. They swarmed you with questions and comments, that you joyfully answered. This place was your peace on earth, helping and inventing to better the world was what you had always wanted for yourself.
Now with the council’s involvement in your life, along with having a significant other, all life seemed to bring was drama. While you were busy with your independent study students and their questions, Zevi had delivered the materials to your workstation. “Ms. (L/N), I am so happy you are back. Your answers to our questions are so much better then Ms. Zevi.” A small female student added before disappearing back to her station.
Zevi overheard her comment and came running, scaring the rest of the remaining students off. You laughed as they all scattered like birds being chased by a mad dog. “So, favorite teacher, what are your plans for today?” Zevi asked playfully bitter. Lightly you tapped her shoulder, “Come on, they love you too. As for today, nothing much just classes and a new project.” A slight annoyance crossed your face at the mention of Jayce’s project.
“A new project, want to tell me about it? Was that box for it?” Zevi’s interest was piqued. The two of you walked over to your station as you explained the housing components to her, she offered to help. You declined, stating it was for another colleague to decide that. “I hope you don’t mean that Talis person.” She chimed out. Giving her a look that screamed she had some explaining to do, Zevi leaned into you before spilling her information.
“He is doing all of this ‘work’ for that council lady. Who do you think signed off on you going to the Undercity?” You stared at her in confusion, the words ‘signed off’ caused alarms to go off in your head. “Since when do I need permission to go to the Undercity?” you asked Zevi bluntly. “When you became their property, Chief Engineer.” She retorted. Another conflict of interest you thought. You were no one’s tool, in Zaun or Piltover.
Shaking your head in disapproval, you let out a defeated groan before looking back at Zevi. In desperation she tried her best to change the subject, “Have you eaten today? Maybe some lunch?” Looking at the clock on the wall you noticed it was closing in on later afternoon, time had pass rather quickly when you were answering to your students. “Sorry I can’t I have classes to teach in a half hour, I need to get ready for that. Maybe tomorrow okay?” you offered to buy her lunch and chat about the events of the Undercity with her. Readily she agreed before bouncing off to a nearby student requesting assistance.
You were a bit annoyed Viktor hadn’t tried to find you, pushing that to the back of the list of things to worry about, you decided to head to your classroom early. Grabbing papers off your station, you left the hanger to journey to the main campus building. The day was nice, sun shining and birds chirped. A few leaves began to fall, had it already started to become autumn? The idea of having festive dates with Viktor brought happiness to you.
Slowing your pace, your ears picked up on a familiar metallic clang. Before you could turn around, you were embraced with a strong pair of arms. “There you are.” The accented voice spoke into your ear, sending chills down your spine. Gently you leaned into the hug, not wanting to throw off his balance. “Um sir we are still at school.” A soft voice reminded the two of you, irritation veiled your face as he pulled away. The moment having been ruined by Sky, again! Jerking around, you were face to face with Viktor and Sky who followed closely behind him.
“What are you doing here?” You asked the frail man with a smile completely ignoring Sky. “We are about to go grab lunch; did you want to join us?” he chimed out. Sighing in aggravation, you shook your head before answering. “No, I have classes to teach. I thought I would have caught you sooner, but I guess the time slipped away from me.” You replied with a frown, shifting your eyes to the ground.
Viktor placed his cold hand under your chin, bringing your eyes to meet his. “Then how about dinner tonight?” His amber orbs were burning into yours with anticipation. You smiled wide, “It’s a date, I’ll meet back up with you later.” he placed a small kiss on your forehead before eagerly agreeing. All doubts and worry faded from you when the two of you broke apart.
You were the first to notice that Sky was nowhere to be seen, she had left at some point during your interaction with Viktor. “It seems I have been left behind.” Viktor stated before saying his goodbyes and limping after Sky. Giddy about tonight you practically floated to your classroom.
As much as you loved teaching and furthering the next generation of great minds, todays classes seemed to drone on for what felt like an eternity. It may have been only 2 classes; however, the next 2 hours were full of students asking the same few questions again and again. When you were finally free you bolted out of the classes as if you were one of the students. You raced to the Mechanic Bay to tell Zevi about your date tonight.
Arriving at the large hanger, you were greeted with a grumpy Zevi. Setting your paperwork off at your office, you made your way over to where Zevi worked angerly. When you had left she was in a far better mood, now she was downright foul. “What ruffled your feathers Zevi?” You questioned her. She nearly jumped out of her chair at your question, “I ran into that awful assistant of your friends. I think Sky was her name.” Her words intrigued you.
“Please go on, what happened?” You convinced her to go on.
“Well, I went to go grab some lunch. I spotted those two being all buddy-buddy in the café, so I decided to join them.” Fear rose in your chest, confused as to what went on during the lunch you missed. “When I sat down with them, Viktor was kind, however Sky nearly chewed my head off. Spouting something about a private conversation and date.” You looked at her horrified. “Did Viktor agree with her?” Zevi shrugged “He honestly didn’t say much, seemed too distracted with something on his mind. You know typical mad genius type.” You let out a small, restricted laugh at her joke.
You knew full well that you should talk with Viktor about this first, but Sky was getting too bold. Someone had to put her in her place. It slowly was becoming your issue, as Viktor was the type to refrain from confrontation. More often than not he just ignored people’s feelings, opting to focus more on his studies and research. One of the things you found in common with him. But she was taking this too far.
“Ah I feel a lot better, after getting that off my chest.” Zevi exclaimed throwing herself back in the chair. “Thank you for not hiding that from me, Zevi. I appreciate it.” You gratefully thanked her and headed back to your station. You tried your best to distract yourself from the feeling of jealousy, by diving headfirst in the housing unit. Only to grow more frustrated, by nothing working the way it should have. The materials were all wrong and you lacked the Hexgem to complete any real work.
Stabbing the pen, that you held on to, deep into the desk in pure frustration. You stood up from your desk, opting to go bother Viktor to leave work early. You wanted to get this terrible topic over with so you could focus on other things. Waving goodbye to Zevi and the rest of your students you headed in the direction of his lab.
Walking into the Science building you were welcomed by the kind receptionist. Offering her a small smile you sauntered into the hallway that connected to Viktor's lab. In a few strides you were standing on the outside of the door. Three voices could be heard on the other side, all bickering about minor differences in equations. You placed a few small knocks on the door, only to be met with silence then Viktor’s voice telling you to enter.
Poking your head in, all eyes were on you. Only one was happy to see you right away, adverting your eyes to the floor. You took in the gravity of the awkwardness all at once. With the Sky situation you had forgotten all about your argument with Jayce this morning. “Yikes this was a big mistake.” You said under your breath.
Jayce stood, breaking the silence. “Just the person we needed!” he exclaimed before pulling you into the room. “First I wanted to apologize about this morning, I shouldn’t have said what I said about the Undercity.” You looked up at him confused and shocked he would actually apologize to you. Viktor shot him a confused angered glare. Jayce continued to address only you, “We were having a discussion, about the new Hextech project. Maybe you could answer somethings for us.” You agreed before taking a seat on Viktor's desk.
“Okay ask away.” Jayce was the first to speak, he started to explain that in his mind magic was limitless and only require minimal Hexgems to power a larger scale project. You listened closely to his explanation, before Viktor spoke up. He disagreed with Jayce, stating that the Hexgems were to be used like a battery. The two men continued to argue back and forth before you could get a word in. Sky remained silent, refusing to even acknowledge you.
Finally, the two men stopped arguing, all you could do was laugh. “You fight like an old married couple, maybe you two should be the ones dating.” You snickered as Jayce darted between the two of his partners. “Are you two a thing?” He blurted out as you hid your blushing face. Not realizing what you had said, Viktor covered for you. “Yes, apparently we have been, however officially for a few days.” Your heart fluttered at his admission. You had thought he would have brushed it off or changed subjects, however he admitted it like it was no big deal. A smile hid itself behind your hand, turning to a frown when you heard a loud slam of fists behind you.
Sky stormed out of the room, you moved to go after her only to be stopped by both the men. “Leave her, she has been moody all day.” Jayce brushed off Sky’s outburst and Viktor agreed. Resting your back against the wall, the three of you continued to discuss Hextech.
“I think your both wrong and right about the Hexgem.” You stated, much to the confusion of the room. You went on to explain about how, yes the Hexgem could be refined and have its power amplified. However, with the material currently available to you and allowed in Piltover it was never going to be an endless source of energy at this time. “We were lucky enough to be allowed to use the Chasm gases.” You stated finishing your explanation to the men.
Both men were very pleased with your explanation of the situation and standing of the current project. “I am sorry again for the things I said this morning. It was in poor taste.” You waved off his attempt at another apology. “It’s all good now, no need to fear me.” You mocked him causing Jayce to narrow his eyes at you before bursting out laughing. Viktor just observed your interaction, curious as to what the two of you talked about, that had Jayce Talis scared of you.
“With that discussion over, how about we go to dinner?” Jayce offered before you looked over to Viktor, unsure how to tell Jayce no. Viktor spoke up “Uh, sorry Jayce but it seems we already have plans for tonight.” The tall man stood, pushing in his chair before heading to the door. “No harm in asking.” He stated in the doorway, you shouted after him. “You should ask Caitlyn, she would love to see you!” you focused back onto Viktor, unsure if Jayce even heard you.
Viktor slid his chair over to where your legs hung off the side of his desk. He parted your knees, sliding in between them. You wrapped your legs around his body, bringing your chest close to his face. “We really shouldn’t be doing this here.” You said softly, pulling Viktor into a tight hug. “You are probably correct.” He replied, nuzzling his face betwixt your breasts. “But this feels nice.” He mumbled holding on to you, breathing in your scent.
As you held each other, you felt as if nothing could break this moment, until a growl emerged from your stomach. Viktor pulled away addressing your abdomen. “How could I have forgotten; we should probably feed you.” You stared down at Viktor with a wide smile, his humor was subtle and rare, but still your favorite. Cupping his face, you lifted it to place small kisses all around. He smiled into the affection, before capturing your lips in a deep kiss.
Sighing happily, you parted “Can we go to dinner now?” Nodding he set you free of his grasp and grabbed his cane. Following you out of the building, the two of you headed towards the café. Traveling hand in hand, silently enjoying each other’s company Viktor broke the silence first. “Its starting to get cold.” You chuckled a bit before replying “Is the great Viktor trying to make small talk about the weather?” He puffed his chest in irritation, limping faster to place distance between you two. Giggling you caught up with him looping your arm around his.
“The weather is perfect in my opinion; summers are always too hot in the hanger.” Responding to his earlier statement. The way you freely talked with each other was relaxing. The relationship that had formed was ease to maintain, minus the bouts of jealousy from both sides.
Arriving at the café, a rough looking host greeted both of you, you recognized him as one of your students. He was a good student, however you had so many it wasn’t always reasonable to keep track of them all. This one you did remember; his name was Miles. He used to be friends with Jayce, before the whole exile and court stunt. Now it seemed he was working instead of hanging around Jayce.
“Good evening, Ms. (L/N). Welcome in where would you like to be seated?” he asked as if he was reciting lines in a school play. “Anywhere is fine Miles, just space for 2 please.” You acknowledged him with a small smile. Upon seeing your smile, his face turned red with blush as he stammered out a reply. Grabbing two menus he led the way to a secluded table and offered to grab your drinks.
Once he was out of ear shot Viktor spoke up, “It seems you have a way with everyone, don’t you?” Pouting your face you retorted, “Well if that is the case, maybe we could address the elephant in your room.” He looked at you confused, opening his mouth to reply before closing it unsure of how to. You stared at him shocked he didn’t understand. “I’m talking about Sky.” Concern dashed over his face, fearing what his assistant had done now. “I promise there is nothing between us. She is just my assistant.” Trying his best to reassure you.
“I understand that, however if you aren’t clear with your feelings and intentions she will continue to try our relationship.” Voicing your worry of what she was willing to overlook. “I am unsure of how to address the issue with her, without making both of our lives miserable.” Balling your fist, you dug your nails into your hand. Why was he so careful with her? “I guess it is my turn to be confused, why do you care what she does that much?” trying your best to swallow the venom in your question.
He adverted his eyes, before readjusting “I would be lying to say, when I was younger I didn’t have feelings for her. This was before I met you.” His words baffled you, hurt tugging at your heart. “I never returned her feelings because I was far too busy for a relationship of that caliber, however we were and are still friends to an extent.” Your expression changed to anger, “Well why don’t you go be with her now that you have all this free time.” Defeat and frustration veiled his face, Viktor reached for your hand. “All I am saying is I don’t want to lose a friend; it is why I am ignoring her advances.”
“She was my friend too, yet she used me and you’re okay with still wanting a friendship with someone like that?” retorting in a hushed yell, your temper was getting the better of you. He pulled his hand away from yours, eliciting you to roll your eyes in clear annoyance. “I just thought you cared more, Viktor.” The venom leaked out as your tone hissed out his name. “I do, (Y/N). I care about you and our relationship a lot. It is just hard to let go someone from my past.” He whimpered out; eyes trained on the table.
The waitress finally arrived to take your order; food was the only reason you had stayed. You were not making that mistake twice. Ordering, you placed a fake smile on your face handing over the menu and thanking the bubbly girl. Viktor remaining quiet after ordering, gently handing over his menu. Once she vanished, anger and annoyance coated your features once more. So much for a nice night with your “Boyfriend.”
Extended silence increased the tension of the table. Finally speaking up, Viktor flashed you his worried amber orbs, “I am not going to fight you on this, Sky is madly in love with you.” He was stunned as he watched you place an emotional wall between you both. “I came to this academy to learn and further humanity, not to be in a terrible menage a trois.” Staring the man down, you were firm in your stance. Reminding yourself that there was no room for romance in the Sciences, as much as it hurt.
Viktor's next words tore you from your thoughts. “Okay, I will talk with her about it. You are the one I chose.” His longing orbs bore into yours. “I don’t want to lose you.” A loving smile pulled at your heart strings. Smiling back, you replied “You’re one hell of a rollercoaster, Viktor.” He leaned across the table capturing your lips with his. Pulling apart he whispered, “You’re a bad conductor.”
Somehow, Viktor saved the night. You really did hope he would at least tell Sky to back off. Her constant intervening was taking a tole on your relationship from an outside point of view. Or maybe it was just Zevi’s comment of those two being on a ‘date,’ that was eating you up. You trusted him not to give into her, however Sky was a whole other beast. Dinner came and went without any further issues, conversation flowed with ease. Most of it was about Hextech and the advancement of humankind.
Leaving the café, you chose to walk Viktor home. You would have loved to spend another night with him; however, you had several meetings first thing in the morning. One being with the council, over how proceedings with Zaun should continue. Arriving at Viktor’s apartment, he tried his best to get you to stay with him. Almost giving in a few times, you opted for peppering his face with kisses. He hated you leaving but enjoyed the view of you walking away.

Hey, everyone! Due to the sudden influx of viewers on AO3, the site has had to modify some things, including the experience of guest users and how hits are counted on the site. This is not the fault of AO3 (they're doing their best to keep things up and running for all of us), but if you're a guest user following stories on AO3, PLEASE make sure to leave kudos for your authors to see. We understand it can be difficult to get an account on AO3 (probably more now with COVID-19 leaving people in their homes), but sudden drops in statistics can be inexplicable and disheartening.
Keep your heads up, people. We're gonna get through this.
