Headcanon:
Emmett watched the ‘What we do in the Shadows’ tv show and was super invested in the episode where the vamps get drunk and high off of drinking the blood of people that were drunk and high. He doesn’t want to purposely stray from the ‘vegan’ lifestyle, but, he so badly wants to be able to experience being drunk again. So, both he Alice and Bella (the only two he could trust would go along with his hijinks) force fed some bears and mountain lions some alcohol and drugs before they drank their blood in the hopes that it would have the same affect as those in the show.
Really it does somewhat work, and mainly leads to all of their respective spouses having to babysit the trio as they let the blood go through their system for the next week.
Emmett has no regrets and would absolutely do it again.
You know whats really fucked? We never got drunk Bella. Do better Stephanie.

What if Edward wasn’t a vampire and just had the flu??
Like I know in the book he was, but what if Bella just created this whole thing in her head when Edward just had really bad flu for a week and came back to school feeling much better?
When she walks into class for the first time He looks like he is about to throw up and is glaring at the table clenching his fists. Well maybe he had something he didn’t like at lunch and its made him feel like he’s holding in vomit all lesson. But, because he cares about his education he felt like he didn’t want to get up and leave class.
Then he sprints out of the class as soon as the bell chimes, well that’s because he needs to rush to the bathroom to throw up.
So then he takes the week off school because his dad is a doctor and knows that Edward shouldn’t go back to school until he is no longer contagious to others. Obviously when he comes back to school the next week he feels way better and is totally recovered, hence the change of attitude and the willingness to work with Bella.
He talks to her and asks her name and seems genuinely more interested in her... because he’s no longer sick so he has the energy to put into conversation making with her.
She mentions how the circles under his eyes don’t look as dark and he seems to have more energy, yeah because he just got over the flu and is no longer tired and throwing up everywhere.
Then it comes to the change in eye colour. Maybe last time she saw him his eyes were extremely dark and bloodshot from lack of sleep and general sickness so they looked shocking to see at first, but now that he’s feeling better they are far clearer and he looks just generally healthier.
I think it shows a lot about Bella’s character where her first assumption is ‘woah this guy seemed angry when I walked into class and then took a week off of school, must be about me.’ (I’m ignoring the scene where he asks to move class I know I know) But in any normal situation I think most people would kind of assume its a coincidence that he was away and would have realised, hey this guy looked really sick then took a week off school, so he’s probably sick.

What are some date nights you envision for some of the couples in Twilight?
Date night for couples in Twilight would be like:
Bella and Edward:
Edward has a passion for music and Bella has a passion for literature, but these two interests overlap in how they both enjoy being cultured. I feel that for the two a date night would be an intimate performance of a strings quartet. There are candlelit quartet performances in my city and I could totally envisage Edward and Bella going to one together. They would sit with each other listening deeply and feeling connected to one another, then they would go out walking together in the city for the night and reflect on the performance to one another.
Alice and Jasper:
Jasper struggles around most people but always finds complete peace with Alice and is enamoured with her constant chit chat and understanding eyes. For them a date night involves lying side by side on a secluded grassy hilltop as they stare at the stars. Alice points at stars and asks questions about them even though she already understands everything about them, and they laugh to each other about how none of the constellations look like what they supposedly are. For them just being in each others company is enough for the night.
Rosalie and Emmett
For Emmett any good date night is one where he can succefully get her to unwind and feel more free, even if just for the night. So, this usually involves them running through the forest and winding their way through the trees while playing childish games that Emmett makes up along the way. They talk about random things as they jump from branch to branch and Rosalie stares lovingly at Emmett as he tells her every detail of his day at school, as if she wasn't there for half of it.
Esme and Carlisle
The two love to indulge in the more human aspects of their life. So, a date night for them involves going to a community salsa class together. They use their agile nature and precision to excel in a class while having fun together with the music and laughing with one another. Afterwards they go home and continue to do all sorts of dances with one another al night long where they just move together with the music and smile back at each other.

With the announcement of HBO buying the rights to one of my absolute favourite TV shows and the further announcement of it getting a reboot next year, I have decided to do a mashup post.
SO , I want to give my thoughts on Twilight Characters and their Degrassi counterparts. Please feel free to tell me if you disagree or agree or have anything to add.
Bella:
Clare Edwards. Clare is a character that is shown time and time again to be passionate about her interests (journalism and writing) and is loyal to her friends when they are in need. She also is seen by some of her friends to have a strong affect on boys (queue ‘I will never understand the affect Clare Edwards has on Men’) like How Bella shows up and miraculously all the men are attracted to her. She finds herself caught in multiple love stories where she learns to stick up for herself and must make decisions about what she truly wants.
Edward:
Craig Manning. Craig shows up and instantly has girls frothing at the mouth for him. He’s dramatic and broody and doesn’t really give up when it comes to finding what he wants. He is talented with Music similar to Edward and also like Edward will often come off as very intense when expressing his feelings towards others. He also leaves his girlfriend at the time (Manny) at the drop of a hat just like Edward does to Bella in New Moon.
Jacob :
Zig Novak. He goes after the same girl many times, and most of the times he decides to make a move is while shes in a relationship, thus creating romantic tension and a love triangle. He is also a lot of muscle and uses his knowledge of the world around him to protect himself and others on many occasions, such as Jake using his knowledge of the Wolves and the forest.
Alice:
Imogen Moreno. She knows who she wants to be friends with and knows what she has to do to become close to them. Often she will drop into conversations randomly with cryptic messages. She also has a very eclectic fashion sense. All of these are pretty much identical to Alice IMO.
Jasper :
Sean Cameron, He has a dark past that he isn’t proud of and often will have time controlling his anger, but all in all he wants to be better and often will lean on his significant other to see what he should be doing morally.
Emmett :
Spinner Mason, The epitome of a himbo, just as Emmett is. Sure in the beginning of the series Spinner was often problematic, but he wanted to learn and once he did he became a reliable source of support for all his friends. He is also super tough and does ‘whatever it takes’ to look after people on many occasions.
Rosalie:
Paige Michalchuk. Paige is queen B at Degrassi for many years. She is gorgeous and confident while still wanting to be there for those she cares about. Much like Rosalie, Paige has also had an unfortunate history with men and it gave her a fire to fight back and look out for others in the future.
Carlisle:
Marco Del Rossi. Marco is the dad friend. He is super smart and wants to put his skills to good uses such as running a blood drive for the school. He always looks out for others (except in a few random episodes) and does his best to make sure that his friends voices are heard.
Esme :
Holly J Sinclair. I’ll be honest it took me a while to think of who matched Esme and the best I could come to was Holly J in her later seasons. In the beginning holly J is definitely nt kind or caring, but I feel that these parts of herself come out more in her later seasons, especially in the Fiona storylines where she is so caring and helpful in trying to help Fiona with working out her sexuality.
Charlie :
Principal Archie Simpson. He is an absolute angel that is not getting paid enough for the amount he has to deal with from these kids. He constantly has to try and hand out advice to children that often aren’t listening and will stand there dumbfounded while still being supportive of their decisions.
Seth :
Adam Torres. Adam is the best, he is the best boy and I love him. When Adam is on screen I have the same fun filled reaction to when I see Seth. Adam is young but he just wants to fit in with his friends and be able to do all the cool things that his brother does even if it gets him into trouble. He wants everyone to get along while still making sure to stand up for himself.
Leah :
Many Santos, She is a bad-ss. Manny has had a few failed romances but she never lets it hold her back, she uses that as a fire to go and get what she wants get it while scaring you half to death.
