somewhere, in an alternate universe, the year is 2000. L has been hired to investigate a rich second son of an American lawyer family. but he's bored, none of his cases seem to challenge, nothing is new anymore. so, he decides to do something New. so he finds himself a fake family, he goes to college, and spends careful years crafting his persona, all in order to get close to the mark. he's good at it, almost too good. and then senior year—the unthinkable happens. Warner Huntington III announces in one fell swoop that he is moving on to Harvard Law School before the investigation is over, necessitating L (alias Elle Woods)'s transfer to law.

Musical & Theatre Reverse Bang Signups Officially Open!

It was a close call on our interest check, but after counting up all the votes, the Good Omens Musical & Theatre Bang will be running a reverse bang. In other words, authors will write based on their artist's art. We'll be looking for at least one completed piece from artists, and for a word count of at least 3k from authors.

Cannot Stress Enough how important it is to read Howl’s Moving Castle written by Diana Wynn Jones immediately after watching Howl’s Moving Castle directed by Hayao Miyazaki. When he made the movie he was of course upset with war and thus included it in the film, but you gotta understand. You really Gotta Understand. Every time in the movie where Howl turns the door dial black to travel to an absolutely hellish warscape? You know where that same dial takes him in the book? The Real World Country Of Wales

something about knowing you're doomed by the narrative but still struggling against it in the hopes of a happy ending. it makes it all the more devastating when it doesn't come true. and really, for all his existence, Crowley has been doomed by the narrative. he knows this, and for the most part, he accepts it. to ask questions is treason, to help others is to betray. he knows this. but he can't help it, can't help but kiss Aziraphale, to beg him to please, stay, they can leave the narrative together.

except Aziraphale still leaves. and it's not the narrative he's left.

so instead of two halves of a whole, now they're both broken apart. separate.

and it is a tragedy, because Crowley knew what would happen if he didn't do anything. he knew where he'd be left again, heartbroken and lonely. and then he was left there anyways.
