my kind of delulu <3
Michael babygirl, I apologize now for the close-up screenshots of your mouth I am going to put on the internet. Call Neil if you have issues with it, it's his fault.

Honey, why are you chewing on a ball bearing? I was going to be lenient and say it's a glint off of some saliva but nah she's suckin on a damn pie weight. I didn't see her take a bite of any dippin dots, did you? Who let her near my stash of Buckyballs that I was hiding from the Consumer Product Safety Commission? Just because you are bbgurl doesn't mean you get to eat bbpellets.

People are like “it’s so beautiful no clouds at all” it could use a little clouds if I had to be honest.

they/them-ification of the world begins with 1 (one) man
My elderly father started talking about how frustrating he finds “the pronouns thing” and I was like. Oh no. He had such a good stand on this, he’s been they/them-ing his cishet siblings for god’s sake! Is he regressing?? And he was talking about how difficult it is to remember, and how onerous it feels to expect strangers to keep track of it, and I’m like oh no oh no.
Then he says, “I mean, the problem isn’t the gender thing. The problem is four words: she, her, he, and him. We got rid of stewardess and turned it into flight attendant. It doesn’t matter if the flight attendant is a man or woman, so we got rid of it. We just need to get rid of those. I don’t need to know.”
“You don’t need to know… people’s gender?”
“No. I don’t care, I don’t need to know, and I don’t want to remember it.”
So we can relax. It’s just a continuation of his crusade to they/them the world. He doesn’t want to remember anyone’s gender. He’s abolishing the genders.

Do you ever think about how a single misguided study on wolves in captivity has resulted in both the most widespread toxic pseudoscientific theory in the manosphere and what is arguably the weirdest genre of graphic kinky gay fanfiction and depending on who you are and what you've seen you'll hear the word Alpha and either think of the platonic ideal of a cis het man or one feral mediocre middle aged actor's dick knot impregnating another's slick-drenched hole. Isn't the internet a wondrous place.

Reasons to play Palia:
Cozy, gentle farming/village sim a bit like a combination of Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing, but online.
Most of the villagers are romanceable if you're into that. Either way they all have backstories that you learn by befriending them.
One time I went fishing and pulled up a charcuterie.
There's robots. One of them is romanceable because the fanbase demanded it in alpha.
You can't pet the dog but you can talk to him:
Tumblr media
The fishing and bug catching systems are unique and fun.
When people find a rare/special resource like a Flow tree or palium ore, they'll call over zone chat to tell people where it is because everyone that hits a resource node will get the same reward no matter how many people are on it.
Crabs count as bugs so you can catch them!
Tumblr media
Sifuu sent me a brick in the mail.
Cat people come from the moon, allegedly. Which moon? Probably the one that isn't on fire.
Concerned about too many people stripping the resources? The game is instanced and each instance only has a handful of players at a time. Even if they're all mining, or chopping trees, the nodes respawn fast enough to compensate. Plants and other things on the ground are not shared, so grab all those you want.
You can hunt for meat and leather, and there are a variety of animals that require different methods. Some of them teleport or clone themselves.
Speaking of hunting, you do so with a bow, and there's no blood or dead body. Bagged animals literally disappear and leave behind a bag which you loot.
You can climb and glide kind of like Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The housing system is pretty robust, almost like WildStar. You start with a tent and then get a house which you can add rooms to. You can find, buy, and craft furnishing and sometimes villagers will gift them to you.
There's no HP and no penalty for falling, so feel free to yeet yourself from high places in order to explore!

ok listen i can’t find this one specific piece of media and i’m going crazy so i’m posting here in the intense hope someone will know it PLEASE
ok so the main thing i remember was that
a. the main love interest used to go to a super stuck up school, but couldn’t handle it and left, coming to the place the plot is at now
b. there’s someone from the super stuck up school that they were best friends growing up, despite character b being younger, they tried so hard to catch up and be at the school with their bestie
c. when character a left, he did so without telling anyone, and entirely ghosted character b out of shame for “failing them”m this made character b worry, she couldn’t get in touch, so she tried for months and finally made it to the school, thinking it’s be fine, on,h to find character a dropped out entirely, months ago
d. there’s like this big confrontation, where the main character tries to stick up for character a, but character (having gotten confidence back after being around protag) tells them he will handle it, and to give them space and time
e. both character a and b feel they are in the right, though character a knows he fucked up majorly by ghosting, and also knows there’s nothing he can do to fix it, that their friendship is irreparably ruined, and it’s all his fault
f. they both walk away with closure, but it’s bittersweet nonetheless
g. i’m pretty sure character a had blue hair.
i have no idea if it was a comic, book, or if of that helps!

I had never seen this and now I have.
it occurs to me that many fans have never experienced the illuminated-capital illustrations in early Good Omens books.

so i’ve heard some people asking (both to me and online) why trans people have to change our bodies, why we can’t be happy with what we were born with. it’s usually followed by “it’s what god gave you” or “since genitals aren’t gender according to you”, and i wanna take a wee moment to talk about my side of it.
i was happy with my body. i enjoyed wearing outfits that emphasised my chest and waist, i thought i looked hot as and i was comfortable with that. at the same time, i kept being misgendered. strangers would refer to me as “lady” taking one look at me, even people i had introduced myself as using they/he would use she pronouns for me. it was never anyone’s first guess that i might not be a girl.
i was asking why? i do my masculine makeup everyday, i wear my pronoun pins, i know they’ll asssume i’m a girl from my chest but why is there never a split second of hesitation? even from the people i’ve told?
whenever i asked this question i was told multiple times over. no one would see me as nonbinary if i still looked like a girl. no one would view me as who i am unless i conformed to what they expected me to be. and that was when i started hating my body. buying binders and wearing them for 10+ hours because i couldn’t go to university without it. wearing clothes purely from the male section so i could maybe hide my curves. cutting my hair down to a masculine style instead of the shoulder length one i loved to play with and style. i haven’t put makeup on in months, when taking that time to do some eyeliner, or draw some stars next to my eyes, was what gave me the confidence to leave the house.
the outfits that i used to love wearing, that brought me joy and confidence, sit in my cupboard gathering dust. i keep them, hoping one day i can wear them again, but can’t help but reach for the same “masculine” fits every time i need.
it wasn’t that i wanted to change every part of my body. i was learning to love who i was. i was using my confidence in my gender identity to build a confidence in my appearance i never had when i was using she/her. but when everyone is telling you the only way to be seen as the person you are, the person you love, you have to change lego you are” to fit with who they think you should be.
tldr; you can’t demand nonbinary and trans people conform to your ideas of what gender should look like, then ask why we’re changing our bodies so “dangerously”.

tumblr is to reddit what league of legends is to world of warcraft.
(both made fun of, both deemed as toxic both by users and outsiders, but one considerably more so, i’ll let you decide which)
(it’s world of warcraft the game devs SUCK)

ive been through it far too many times before to have people call good omens queerbaiting, when they canonically love each other romantically to the ends of the earth and then some
I don't think people know what "queerbaiting" means anymore. it's not "these queer characters didn't end up together in the way I wanted them to."
it's "the show fails to ever definitively confirm character sexuality/interest, which both placates homophobic audiences and lets desperate queer fans fill in the gaps." nothing about good omens falls into this category.
