cool if you look at the actual research, teenagers who strongly identify as trans continue to identify as trans for the rest of their lives. changes in that tend to be changing the exact labels they use. the majority of adult detransitioners do so because of external pressure like family or discrimination, not them realizing it 'was a phase'. Your attitude is harmful and misinformation. You're not making people mad, you're hurting them. Take some fucking accountability

You can go and get a full body tattoo at 18, you can join the military to kill people for your country at 18, you can vote to influence the lives of other people at 18, but transitioning is a bridge too far for you? sorry mate. I don’t want to get people mad. I’m basing the estimation off the fact that the prefrontal cortex (the part of the brain that makes decisions) isn’t fully developed until 25. I would probably limit everything to 25 if I could choose tho XD

I’ve known people that have transitioned as a child and have not been able to go back after realising they were just in a phase. I know everyone’s experience will be different tho so no offence to you or anyone else.

I think that children can identify as other genders but not make anything finalised until they have completely understood themselves. Children should be more concerned about making memories and having fun than worrying about surgery.

people don't need to physically be a girl to be a girl or a boy. You can be a boy that identifies as a girl but you don’t need to physically change until your brain is fully developed. Children don’t need to worry about puberty blockers and such, they need to be themselves.

many people who have thought they were a different gender go through the blockers and surgery only to realise that they made a mistake. Many can’t go back after that and it makes me really sad.
