Five to Twelve: Chapter Four is out!
“So, did this qualify as another strange thing for your list then?” Draco asked lowly, as they were walking side by side.
They could have just apperated home straight from the restaurant, but neither of them had suggested it. Instead they were simply walking onwards, their knuckles occasionally brushing, lingering.
“Do you want to date me?” Potter blurted, inelegantly. It made Draco’s gaze snap to him in shock.
Potter coughed. “I mean, this- I don’t think this was strange at all. I was quite nice actually. So, would you-… would it be okay if, if we do this again? You know - regularly?”
Draco had deducted that Potter found him attractive, maybe attractive enough to forgot their sordid past for an evening.
He had even hoped that Potter might want to accompany him home for a furtive shag, but this suggestion of a longer arrangement was simply ludicrous. They hadn't even seen each other in four years.
“I wouldn’t want to be you secret. I am trying to move on from- I wouldn’t want that.” Draco said, shaking his head. He felt enough shame on his own, even cut off from the real world. There was no need to invite a constant reminder of Draco’s failings into his life, no matter how green his eyes were.

Draco hates his job at the Prophet. He hates it even more when he’s assigned to write an article on Harry Potter, who left the country three years ago after their falling out. Draco doesn’t want to face the truth about himself, but he’s stuck between Harry and his duty, and he’s out of options.
The theme here is probably missing people, magical disappearance, or losing sight of someone important. But I think the stories in this Set are really centered around finding something, about rediscovering each other, and about coming home.
'Running On Air' is an absolute classic, which you have very likely already read, but it may be due for a re-read. I found it calm and decelerated, embodying the feeling of a cold case. I adored the magical elements in 'Like the Son Holds the Moon' and the way that Harry's seemingly desaturated life comes into sharp focus with Draco back in it. 'All Roads' doesn't linger on the missing person part, though their reunion causes Draco to realize he has been missing out. Rekindling their relationship feels gentle yet loaded.
Overall, these stories have a slow-paced and intimate tonality. Funnily enough, they all begin with a job assignment but ultimately deal with characters realizing that they are unhappy in their current circumstances. Something wasn't right, something was missing ... and so Harry and Draco find their way to each other.

'If Memory Serves' has a very dysfunctional but also captivating enemies with benefits scenario, as well as memory loss done deliciously well. 'It'll Come Back' is dark, sad and gritty - but a great read, if you want to feel like you have been kicked in the teeth! 'Lusimeles' includes angsty intimacy, a competent Draco and a Harry that doesn't handle his emotions (or memories) well. 'The Four Doors' presents a intriguing, fun, sexy and generally charged dynamic between Draco and Harry - even though Harry really only understands half of it ...
All of these wonderful stories are written super well, execute their premise with care and include fervent explicit scenes and angsty relationships. So, enjoy!

Five to Twelve: Second Chapter!
The second chapter of my fic Five to Twelve is now up :) here is a little sneak peak:
“You had no right!” Draco hadn’t realised that he had jumped up from his seat before Potter stood up as well, unsuccessfully trying to match his height.
“There was a box full of letters and I saw my name on them. But when I touched-“ Potter continued talking.
“Fuck you”, Draco said feeling hollow and frozen. His rage a distant thing, as if coming from someone else. “I don’t have to take this.”
He was halfway to the door, before Potter stepped infront of him.
“You do actually." He said. "I got that warrant, remember? So sit down.”
Draco stared at him. At his ugly glasses, his messy hair, his stupid scar and he hated him. Draco was sure he had never hated anyone more in his life. He sat back down and crossed his arms against his chest. Potter may have the power to keep him here and to humiliate him as he pleased, but he couldn’t force Draco to talk.
“So, I’m guessing you knew the box was there?” Potter asked, sitting back down as well. Draco remained silent.
“Did you plant it there for me to find?”
Draco crossed his arms harder, twisting. Finding comfort in the strain.

Each of these stories begins with Harry Potter encountering Draco Malfoy in an unexpected place. A library on an American campus, a gay muggle nightclub, a tv repair shop.
Themes for this Set are: navigating young adulthood, exploring sexuality, becoming someone new and seeing an old enemy with fresh eyes.
'Faint Indirections' has some hilarious banter and gives a rich environment to new and old characters, as well as a library meet cute (of sorts). 'I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor' is fun and sexy - it viscerally reminded me of my own experiences as a young queer person, which made it very personal and nostalgic. 'Open For Repairs' is very soft, but also hilarious. Harry breaking a tv with a hammer just to talk to Draco, yet somehow being in complete denial. That is peak humor to me. All of these stories are wonderfully written, witty and romantic. So, enjoy!

Drarry Fic: Five To Twelve
Something peculiar is happing to Harry Potter, what else is new? This has nothing to do with Draco anyway, he is busy enjoying his perfectly ordinary day.
This fic has been a while in the making and I am really excited to finally share it! The premise is a bit of a mystery, but I can promise lots of angry tea cups and confused boys.

If you want, here is a sneak peek into the prologue:
Potter laughed, slightly hysterically. “I’m sorry. I know you think you haven’t seen me in years. I just- I can’t, I couldn’t wait - I …”
He looked up, as if searching for wisdom written on the low ceiling and then he crowded Draco against the nearest wall instead.
“Potter!” Draco squeaked, halfheartedly attempting to push him of, as Potter started to mouthing along his jaw. Between shaky breaths, Draco frantically tried to reason with him: “I think- … either you have been hit by ah- some sort of curse. Or I am actively- ah, stop - oh Merlin, I am actively suffering from a breakdown and this a hallucination. Either way, we need to … oh- .. I mean- get to Mungos.”
“Yeah, alright”, Potter breathed but kept kissing along his neck, hands crawling under Draco’s shirt. “Whatever you want. But lets go back to bed first, yeah? I just- lets just- go back for a few hours and I’ll explain later and you don’t have to ... I can just- I-… I just need …”
Before Potter could put his lips on Dracos exposed collarbone and muddle his thoughts any further, Draco pushed him away.
This time harshly, with an outstretched arm holding Potter in place.
“No.” He said, fixing Potter with an authoritative look. “I am going to need that explanation now.”

‘Kill Albus Dumbledore’ is less a challenging task and more a suicide mission, so when Draco Malfoy is presented with the option to either dispatch his Headmaster or suffer an excruciating and most ignominious death of his own, along with his parents, he reaches deep into his black little Slytherin heart and manages to scrape together enough courage to go with option C instead: Spend Sixth Year secretly studying Animagecraft in the hopes he’ll turn into something sufficiently imposing even the Dark Lord himself won’t be able to keep Draco under his thumb. But just his luck, his Animagus form turns out to be a dragon, and a rather randy juvenile at that, intent on finding its mate: one Harry James Potter.

A wizard craved a dragon’s enormous trove of treasure, and so he hid behind a tree and cast a powerful sleeping spell on the great beast — In which Harry goes on special assignment.
The theme for this Set is rather obvious: Dentist AU's. I'm just kidding. Its dragons. Big lizards, scaly cats, fire belching beasts. So, here are some of the most wonderful stories I have ever read (that also happen to include a dragon).
Firstly 'Such Great Heights' has a very special place in my heart. It is not only beautifully written and includes hilarious, witty, mean, soft and livelike characters - but it also has one of the most realistically flawed and yet somehow stupidly romantic love stories between Draco and Harry ever. Its just so ... just read it, and then re-read it. You have to! Fine, I will as well.
'Men Who Love Dragons Too Much' is honestly a great and unique retelling of book seven. It has Draco joining the trio on the horcrux-hunt and just makes its strange premise work perfectly. The characterizations are on point, the relationships are completly realistic and the love story fits very organically into the just slightly altered canon.
Finally, 'Draconem dormientem nunquam excitat' is a marvellous, enjoyable read from start to finish. Its sharply written and delivers on a fitting dynamic between middle aged Draco and Harry. Also - if you would sponteanously transform into a dragon in the middle of a street, woudn't you have some fun? Well, Draco doesn't, but I did, while reading about his struggle. So, Enjoy!

Finally a Set with no angst, just sweetness and the taste of spring. These stories all take place in eighth year and feature mainly friends to lovers plots - or sometimes, friendly to in love. The theme here is two boys moving towards gentle convergence and the calm after the storm and the the start of a normal life.
'Nice Things' is incredibly soft and has a careful, tactile dynamic between a touch-starved Harry and an affactionate Draco. 'Good Company' is very well written, dialogue focused and sweet.
'A Place on Earth' is funny, cute and feels like a story someone tells you about how they got together with their husband twenty or so years ago. 'Tent(ative)' just made me grin the whole way through, it will make you all warm and tingly.
Really, just treat yourself! Read these stories and I promise you will feel good and smile. So, Enjoy!

So, this Set includes a bunch of stories of Harry and Draco working through the aftershock of the war and their own antagonistic relationship by sleeping with each other and talking way too little.
All of them are set in eighth year or at Hogwarts shortly after the events of the books. 'Two Hours Later' takes place literally two hours after the books have ended and is one of the most delecious, vunerable and emotionally confused smut one-shots I have ever read. 'Feel You In These Walls' also has emotionally stunted boys, trying to repair a wall and somehow falling all over each other in the process. 'Twist and Pull' is one of my favorite Tepre stories, it has a very visceral tone and a wonderful balance of angst and healing. 'Half Awake' has the boys avoiding talking like normal people by mashing the lips together and 'Alive' has them avoiding to talk also by collision - but its their fists at first and other things later.
100 Difficult Conversations in the Rain by FeelsForBreakfast

Hogwarts is in a sour mood, Draco and Harry won’t stop getting into fist fights, and no one knows what exactly it is they’re supposed to be doing. There’s a rose garden, friendship, and no plot. Absolutely not one single plot.
'100 Difficult Conversations in the Rain' is unfinished and will very likely remain so, but it ends on a good point in the story and is a wonderful read. It follows a similar premise as the rest of the stories in this Set, but it's longer, and there is a lot of talking going on, only the things said are not very helpful in clearing anything up. Enjoy!

You guessed it: this set features magical houses. All of these stories include very mild horror and scary old homes filled to the brink with ghosts, bloody roses or creeping shadows — but also with Draco and Harry, trying to save each other and falling in love in the meantime.
'Find a new place to be from’ is hilarous and soft and just a tiny bit spooky. 'House Proud' is gorgeous and catches that old magic feeling; something creaking on the stairway, something breathing on your neck. 'Stately Homes of Wiltshire' features grumpy ghost and a grumpier Draco. Whats not to love?

'Love Spells', 'Obsessive (Compulsive)' and 'On open wounds' all include a not-quite-love affair between Harry and Draco during the events of the sixth book, with all the mistrust and antagonism such a relationship encapsulates. 'Denude' and 'Hurt for The Right Reasons' are deliciously intimate, hard and smutty one-shots, that are enriched by the canon dilemma.
'Love Spells‘ is just pure poetry. Every sentence is a punch to the gut, which you’ll take with gratitude. The phrase "love is a closed fist" still haunts me. 'Obsessive (Compulsive)’ is also beautiful, but cruel and perfectly encapsulates Harry’s fixation on Draco. His struggle between righteousness and surrender to carnal desire is visceral here. ’On open wounds‘ deals with their mutual inability to leave it (the other) alone. They just keep clawing at each other until it becomes a caress.
'Denude’ has some wonderful bargaining with intimacy. I love how Harry basically considers "having" Draco a struggle between himself and Voldemort, even though their hold on him couldn’t be more different. With 'Hurt for the Right Reasons‘ this Set also includes a story from Draco’s POV. It has lovely abandon, taunts and rough sex, but it leaves you with a hopeful feeling.

Harry and Draco become friends with benefits, and Harry thinks it's more complicated than it actually is.
Nothing in which Draco and Harry coexist in the same room could ever be described as casual, but these stories all revolve around two people sleeping together while trying not to label it as love.
Each of them features a slightly muddled and self-doubting Harry, who isn't in touch with his own feelings after the war, and a softer, redeemed yet distant Draco, who doesn't call Harry out on all his nonsense. I matched this set because these stories all possess a calm tone and a slightly melancholic vibe.
'Still Life' is beautiful and sad; it portrays a Harry who struggles to comprehend his own feelings and fails to reconcile the horrible Draco of the past with the one he has grown close to in the present. 'Fine, I'll Hold My Breath / 'Til I Forget' captures the domestic tranquility after the war and depicts a - not really complicated, yet poorly communicated - relationship of two people striving to adapt to their new lives. The same applies to 'Show Me How to Be Your Boy', which is one of my favorites. It feels deeply personal, somehow managing to be angsty yet impossibly soft.

I finally finished this little story :)

Obviously this isn't a rec list, but I had fun writing it and getting back into the HP fandom with my own content. So, I hope some of you might have fun reading it as well!
WIP Snippet: Draco Malfoy is writing letters of apology (to everyone but Harry)
“That tosser.” Ron said, grabbing the letter from Hermione’s hands to reread it for himself.
“I think it’s kind of sweet.” Luna said, feeding her new yellow-spotted Flubberling with bacon.
“I thought we agreed that thing wasn’t allowed on the table anymore, you know- after the great diarrhea disaster.” Neville said, warily eying the Flubberling.
“Let’s not change the topic from Draco sodding Malfoy writing letters to my girlfriend just yet, shall we!” Ron exclaimed and brandished the letter at Harry, with air of someone handing over condemning evidence in a murder case.
Harry stared down at the elegant, curling letters. He remembered Draco at eleven, getting fitted for his Hogwarts uniform at Madam Malkins. The effortless superiority in his tone, bragging about new brooms his father was going to buy for him and calling Hagrid an oaf. The writing in the letter looked as if it had been penned by a victorian maiden - poncy and delicate - just as Draco had been then. Still, Harry had struggled to hear the apologetic words in Draco’s snotty eleven year old voice.
“I honestly didn’t expect him to be so candid”, Hermione said finally.
“You’re not buying this crap are you? He’s just trying to slime his way into your good graces. As is Malfoy tradition after a war.” Ron accused.
“Yes, he probably wants to make friends with you, now that there is a political advantage of being connected with muggleborns.” Neville added.
“Maybe he is secretly in love with her,” Ginny grinned and then laughed as Ron flipped her off.
