Taylor Swift has written us her own version of grim fairy tales. Throughout the album are references to other fairy tales. It's a theme that shows up through TTPD and in the Anthology. She turns them to reflect her own twisted love stories and has re-written them as a collection in her own storybook. They are chaotic, confusing, and tragically romantic. She has written us a story to not only sing us to sleep but also to put to bed the history that went into the story. And all that's left is the Manuscript.

The Mighty Nein are so funny because Matt’s just there like, “Lorenzo was supposed to get away. You were not supposed to keep the Happy Fun Ball. You were NOT meat to go to Xhorhas. Trent was supposed to escape—” Mighty Nein just steamrolling their way through their own campaign. They do what they want. The DM’s long-term plans have no authority over this party

rewatching the mighty nein and rewitnessing their amount of paranoia is so good. they walk into a 5 star hotel after a battle with the followers of the god of death and a total of 10 hit points and 3 spell slots between all of them and they're still casing their rooms. uv lights out, flipping beds and checking smoke detectors for cameras. they insight check every person they meet. they want to cast a truth spell on the oldest, most powerful and crustiest wizard in all of exandria. theyd rather impale themselves instead of giving up their weapons. theyd rather send a cat with 2 hit points that's determined to roll nat 1s on its perception rolls to check out evil lairs rather than going in themselves. they hate people scrying on them but they get annoyed when they fail doing it to others. they lie to most people they meet yet they're still 'trusted' by the two out of the three great powers on wildemount. no one's doing it like them.

I do desperately need to see Allura scream at Ashton for like five minutes straight at the top of the next episode, for the comedy, and also so that Matt can truly use his self-insert NPC to the fullest.

Something I love about the Mighty Nein is that they almost never get the dice rolls they want but they always get the ones they NEED. Despite Matt’s best efforts this chaotic group is just determined to keep getting back up and fight for nothing more than the protection of their own found family. That’s it. They aren’t really fighting for the greater good. They’re fighting for each other. And the dice know that because they aren’t only meeting adversity and difficulty they are crushing it. There is no reason last nights battle should have been as easy as it was but the Nein are always just full of surprises and they fight dirty.
