I find comfort in knowing that people who I’ve cut out of my life are left with this version of me that simply doesn’t exist anymore. The memory and image of me that they have isnt who I am, and I’m happy that it’s that way. I’ve changed and grown and they wont ever get the chance to know the better version of myself that I’ve become during their absence.

I find myself getting less and less ambitious the older I get.
When I was graduating high school I wanted to do great things and be super famous and change the world.  Now I just want to hang out and not bother anybody.

Sometimes our unhealed wounds make us believe that we are worthless, that we don’t deserve love and happiness, that we don’t have the right to have a specific person in our lives; they are still so raw so we push people away who are just trying to help.
Believe me when I say, no matter how much hurt you are, or how much your heart is wounded, you are still you, you are still the same person who is very much worthy of love and warmth. You deserve to heal from the pain which has snatched away your sense of reality.
Please don’t be hard on your innocent heart. It just needs time. Don’t deprive it of comfort. Listen to it.

That myth about how the face you wear in this life is the face of the person you loved most in your last life. What a beautiful concept.
To be remade in the image of your love. To love someone so much you become them.
I can love the girl staring back in the mirror much more easily, knowing that I did it once before. And that I loved her so fiercely I became her.

“I am afraid of this man, as if in him I had to face all the realities which terrify me. His sensual being affects me. His ferocity, enveloped in tenderness, his sudden seriousness, the heavy, rich mind. I am a bit hypnotized.”
