I cannot stress enough how excited I am for the upcoming FFXIV expansion, Dawntrail. With my free company of four years being disbanded next month, the move to Tural is a great opportunity for new starts across the board.

Managed to get to the adamantine forge in Baldur's Gate Honour Mode - and then got manhandled by the guardian. Second time's the charm!

Watching Sweet Tooth finally, and for some reason it's giving me a hankering for both The Walking Dead and Changeling: The Lost RPG stories.

With the arrival of the Fallout television series, some of my international players asked me to run a one-shot for them using the 2d20 Modiphius ruleset. This led to the creation of the infamous Briggs Brickston, Brahmin puncher extraordinaire, who, with a single line, forever changed how I view deathclaws:
GAMEMASTER: So your plan is to enter melee with a deathclaw, unarmed and unarmoured, and punch it?
"MISTER" BRIGGS BRICKSTON: Why not? It's just a big cow that's gotten uppity.

I love my family. I love my friends. I love those of you who are striving to leave the world in a better state than you found it in.
That is all.

The loss of a pet is devastating. They're every bit a member of the family, just as much as any human, and their absence and the pain it causes cannot be overstated.
R.I.P. Mr Monty. You lived a long, loved, and ballsy life - even in the absence of them. If you see my dog around in the afterlife, give him my best.
And don't bap his snoot. He's a good boy.

I really wish there was a GM screen available for Fabula Ultima. Ever since moving from play-by-post to face-to-face, I've made use of a screen, and now it feels awkward to run a game without one.
Here's hoping Need Games releases one before my Fabula Ultima chronicle begins in earnest...

Enjoyed running Dungeons & Dragons last night. One among the party, who had angered Asmodeus, found himself being hunted by a pair of orthons. Though his party tried to save him, a plane shift resulted in their polymorphed companion vanishing to the Nine Hells.
Time to venture into the depths of damnation to recover their companion...

I think D&D Beyond likes me. Rolling up my backup character for an upcoming campaign (just in case my Paladin dies), and this is what it gives me.

I am replaying Baldur's Gate 3 as I work on world-building notes for my next and future campaign.
Larian Studios placed a great focus on the people, the environments, and the smaller details, of the Faerûn they portrayed, and the results speak for itself.
BG3 is an incredible achievement in game design, and it's certainly inspired me to be a better Dungeon Master.

✨Decided to open the shop for 2 days! ✨
I close again this Easter Monday (April 1st). Life is kinda all over right now so I can only open the shop every few weeks.
Still have many bookmarks, and just a handful of enamel pins, as well as some cool cotton totes up for grabs.

I am super excited to see that the preorder bonuses for DAWNTRAIL are all FFIX related, and that it's suggested by a Yoshi P comment that there might be more FFIX stuff coming. It's one of my favourite games of the series, and I'd love to see more crossover content.
Also, yay for finally getting a release date for DAWNTRAIL early access: 28.06.2024. Cannot wait!

It's Dungeons & Dragons day! The events of the last session reminded me that we're approaching the final stretch of a four year campaign; it's time to see how actions and inactions bring things to a head, and inform the finale of this little tale.

In preparation for both of my future campaigns - Vampire: The Masquerade and Dungeons & Dragons - I'm reading through Niccolo Machiavelli's 'The Prince.'
