This was much harder than I expected, but it was fun! I think mines kind of nonsensical but I tried!

Hello again!

It's that time of the week (overdue - I apologize), the time for a new poetry prompt! I once again had a lovely time reading your previous poems and greatly look forward to this new assignment.

This week's prompt: blackout poetry! Take an existing piece of text, and use the words available to create a poem. I recommend doing so with a book or a magazine to have a simpler time, though any long block of text could do the trick in theory. If you have no physical pieces that you can mark up, digitally blocking out words is allowed as well.

Here is my example poem from a Queen magazine - with a transcription provided in case you have any difficulty reading.

highlighted text reads: "real life vastly limits the vision of overindulgent efforts to create , master the distortion of beautiful emotion and taste the tradition abandoning reinvention . this person the public ignored was a star - though they refused to demand space"

Good luck, and now is a good time to note that any previous prompts are open to add to as well, submissions under past promps will NOT be voided and WILL be read.

surpriseee ur getting advice from admin!! ill be so entirely real, blackout poetry is a pain in the ass but the finished product is so worth it. my biggest piece of advice is to take a photo / scan / do whatever to ur text to get it down on a digital document, then go through and bold the words youre planning on using. this way u dont have to make any concrete word decisions until u have The Whole Poem. THEN u can go thru and start marking shit up.

also recommend choosing an author with a very wordy writing style, kinda tuff with like. simple??? texts

What is your opinion on giving flowers?

It's not really seen as a thing that boys should uhh- give to other boys, because I really have no interest of giving it to a girl, but I love them!!

I have a book on flower symbolism and meaning, and I try to leave flowers on Neil's bed meaning different things when I'm able to go to town.

I adore giving him tulips the most, they grow out in the fields outside Hellton at spring, and they match his blush perfectly :))

proud to say many rules at welton are because of me. i'm the reason they don't serve us hot drinks anymore (i "accidentally" knocked my hot cider onto cam's lap)

haha! Nice to know someone else is like me. I really got dealt a bad set of cards, with me being allergic to pollen, oranges, dog fur, peanuts and shrimp + my asthma! It's alright though, my seasonal allergies are clearing up.
