Screenshots are pillaged and this is real-time action. Deity difficulty and no cheat mods, I promise! This is real-life Civilization V action. In order to keep things speedy, Catherine begins in the future. Don't want to spoil it but I can say the initial army does its best to find required resources that will bring Russia good luck.

Disclaimer: OP Human Players mod is active - it's what Wu would've wanted. There is one chunk of land up for grabs and China has her eye set on taking it all. The enemies basically have little to no chance as long as Wu plays her cards right - and she does! The Chu Ko Nu are able to shoot twice at those who dare threaten the Chinese empire. The lands will become emerald while other colours are slowly removed from the map! There's also the Paper Maker - China's unique Library replacement, which grants a bit of gold along with the beakers - yay Science!

But we are transfering units to City-States where they’ll fight for new commanders

Vatican city takes some Crossbowmen and knows how to use ‘em

They are adept at razing their conquests!

Units are purchased each turn and sent over to City-States

It’s good to know there is no peace for the other continents

There’s problems in the Latvian City-State

We’ll create a situation up north - yay two-front war!

Great War Infantry are distributed around the world

Freedom means a Foreign Legion - they’ll all be shipped to foreign lands

Trying to flood the City-States with units

They can handle the dirty-work

It’s a viable strategy

Going to Settle down south of the eastern landmass

This place is strictly for unit distribution

It’s quite efficient

Instant Gifting is better than waiting for them to travel

The Great War Infantry travel well

It seems like a lot of money - but no

But none of the military stick around for long

Seems our cities are doing a good job at being amazing

Rocket Artillery are great gifts for any time of year

And we're back... with (an OP Human Players mod) Alexander the Great. He's pretty great - at least in the eyes of the City-States. You can't go wrong (even an accidental nuking) when you are Alexander! Early on, the immediate surroundings are quickly acquired by the Greeks. England attempts to stand its ground against an overwhelming empire while the rest of the world quietly progresses beyond the cloudy fog - whoever they are, the City-States won't let 'em live for long. Strap-in with the Companion Cavalry and close your eyes when cities fall to the soldiers. The world will never be the same after Alex figures out what he wants to do with it!

And we’re back… let’s attempt some aggression as the Danes - Archipeli-Denmark - there will be lots of WAR - with Germany - and Kurt Wagner - and Iron Man - and Butters

Set sail with captain Harald Bluetooth and head into the sunset while fighting off the enemy navy, army, and air forces of the future. The early days of Denmark are rich with history. The constant threat of invasion from the high seas leaves little to do but train and manage a military worthy of world conquest! It's so much easier to type that than to actually do it - even when you have Norwegian Ski Infantry! There's no OP Human Players mod to help us out, so Harald is left to his own devices (mostly aquatic in nature) in order to face threats of defeat.

Reach for the good stuff, Maya! And add the OP human players mod in hopes of preventing other Civs from getting the top-spot.

Historically, the Maya was a "tall" empire - several concentrated areas of population made-up the civilizations boundaries and at no point did they try to take over the entire planet - that changes in this game, where Pacal stops at nothing to ensure all viable land is claimed. The Mayan civ ensures all cities can have a Pyramid, and remember, once Theology is researched, free Great People appear every 394 years - Great People mean great other stuff!

Then the Assyrians attacked!

Sejong is back and he's just as annoying as ever - science from this, science from that, Korea is the Civ DLC meant for research. You'll get beakers from Great People tile improvements and Specialists and boosts when science buildings and wonders are built - cool, huh? Trying to play against Korea can be next-to-impossible, especially if they are able to grow to high populations: so much science! Science is great for any type of victory in Civ - Dominating with advanced weaponry is highly recommended.

Happy New Year? More like "BalanceGoldPrime++" - it is the word-of-the-day - and the name of the mod that changes everything you know and love about the Civ leaders.

The values are multiplied and things get complicated when certain wonders are completed (Borobudur's many Missionaries and the Hagia Sophia's plentiful Prophets come to mind, but there are more!). The difficulty is set to Deity but the AI was hand-picked to ensure the game would be a good time (read: I tried to make it easier for myself!). The other Civs get beefed-up as well, because when every Civ is OP, none are.

Attila and his Huns get insane pasture production and nothing is quite like a tile full of Cows pumping out hammers.

Brandenburg Gate brought a bunch of Great Generals, Broadway will raise some curtains

The Guided Missile strategy allows for minimal frustration while committing crimes against humanity

The Nuclear Missile strategy allows for one XCOM to march in and ruin everyone’s day

It's almost Christmas, but Santa's here now. He comes with a slight edge the A.I. might find troubling - more troubling than being put on a naughty list - elves. Elves are unique Worker replacements. Quicker than the unit they replace, the Elves will improve tiles faster than they build toys. The toys exist as unique luxuries that come from founding the first few cities, and the Workshop is upgraded to provide Happiness meaning Santa's empire can and will grow beyond the North Pole.

The North Pole led by Santa, a mod by calcul8or:

Unique Ability: 50% reduction in unhappiness from cities and citizens

Unique Unit: Elves:

Replaces the Worker - has 3 movement, and builds much more quickly than the standard worker

Uniquie Building: Santa's Workshop:

Replaces the Workshop. +15% production, and each one provides two copies of Presents! (+6 Happiness)

Unique Improvement: Elf House:

Can be built on Tundra or Snow tiles (making up for Santa's tundra start bias) and adds +3 Food and +1 Production.
