gemstone-themed magical girls? heck yeah

They’re a team of four right now. They get their powers from special objects that take the form of whatever piece of jewelry the user wants. I’m thinking of calling them Regalia Jewels.

The first to get her powers is a girl named Zahira Khatri, aka Obsidian Regalia. Her Regalia Jewel is a ring with an obsidian crystal set in it. It gives her the power to open wormholes and see into the future. Since she’s fairly new to the magical girl scene, both of these powers are fairly limited. She also has much better reflexes than any normal human. For a weapon, she uses a chakram.

Next is Meilin Bai, aka Jadeite Regalia. She’s Zahira’s best friend. Her Regalia Jewel is a pair of jadeite drop earrings. With it, she can control anything with a life force. Since she doesn’t like controlling people or animals, she mostly limits herself to plants. She also has telepathy and is faster than the average human. Her weapon is a sword, specifically a Chinese jian.

Third is Quinn Brennan, aka Turquoise Regalia. She’s a butch lesbian whose Regalia Jewel is a turquoise bracelet. She can control the weather and create impenetrable force fields. With her magic spear and super-strength, she’s a force to be reckoned with.

Last is Layla Soliman, aka Carnelian Regalia. A soft-spoken but passionate girl, her Regalia Jewel, a carnelian amulet, grants her the power of fire. Along with her ability to bend light into various constructs, Layla has almost supernatural agility. Plus, she has a magical bow and infinite fiery arrows at her disposal.

I might do more with these guys, but given my track record, who knows tbh
