Hohes Diskussionspotenzial? Marburgs Konflikt-Filme kommen zurück!
Filme, die provozieren und ein Statement setzen: Bei der 12 ¾. Filmreihe »Konflikt und Film« setzen sich die Zuschauer:innen mit kritischen Themen auseinander. | (c) pixabay
(Marburg) Ein Gang ins Kino steckt immer mal wieder auch für Überraschungen. Man weiß ja schließlich nie, wie der Film letztlich wird. Wenn er gut ist, bietet er gute Unterhaltung. Ist er jedoch sehr gut, regt er sogar nachträglich noch zum Nachdenken an. So wie die Filme der 12 ¾. Filmreihe »Konflikt und Film«.
Der kommende Winter wird spannend: Vom 28. Oktober 2021 bis zum 3. Februar 2022 stellt die Fachschaft für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung der Philipps-Universität Marburg 6 konfliktreiche Filme vor. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Capitol-Filmtheater in Marburg können Interessierte staunen und diskutieren.
Der Herbst hat's in sich: Das erwartet Dich im Oktober und November!
Den Anfang macht am 28. Oktober 2021 der kenianische Film »Rafiki«, der 2018 unter der Regie der in Nairobi geborenen Regisseurin Wanuri Kahiu veröffentlicht worden ist. Die Zuschauer:innen können die Geschichte zweier kenianischer Frauen begleiten, die sich zunächst nur anfreuden.
Nach einiger Zeit der Freundschaft entdecken sie ihre Liebe füreinander. Auf internationaler, aber insbesondere auf kenianischer Ebene hat der Film eine große Diskussion um Homosexualität losgetreten. Gleichgeschlechtliche Liebe ist in dem ostafrikanischen Staat noch immer streng tabuisiert.

Zwei Frauen verlieben sich, das sollte längst akzeptiert sein. In Kenia ist das noch nicht der Fall, wie Rafiki zeigt.
Weiter geht's am 11. November 2021 mit einem Dokumentarfilm über Ratko Mladić. Die Gäste erfahren mehr über die Hintergründe des ehemaligen serbisch-bosnischen Generals, der am Internationalen Strafgerichtshof für den Massenmord in Srebrenica angeklagt worden ist.
Bei dem Massaker während des Bosnienkrieges 1995 sind über 8000 Erwachsene und Jugendliche ermordet worden. Diesbezüglich gilt der Protagonist der Dokumentation als einer der Hauptverantwortlichen und sitzt deshalb seit 2017 im Gefängnis.

Inmitten der Weihnachtszeit lockt die 12 ¾. Filmreihe »Konflikt und Film« noch weitere 2 Male!
Gleich zu Beginn des Dezembers können Interessierte dieser Filmreiche das Kino aufsuchen. Am 1. Dezember 2021 zeigt die Marburger Fachschaft für Konfliktforschung eine echte Oscar-Nominierung. Im Film »For Sama« erfahren die Zuschauer:innen tiefergehende Details des syrischen Bürgerkrieges, der seit mittlerweile 10 Jahren anhält.
Das britisch-syrische Team rund um Waad Al-Kateab und Edward Watts ist 2020 mit seinem Film für einen Oscar nominiert worden. Darüber hinaus hat es auf internationaler Ebene zahlreiche Preise für die Dokumentation gegeben.

Der syrische Bürgerkrieg hat viele Opfer gefordert. In der Oscar-nominierten Dokumentation »For Sama« erleben die Zuschauer:innen die Situation in dem Kriegsgebiet.
Am 16. Dezember 2021 winkt der letzte Film für das Jahr. Er begleitet eine junge Frau inmitten der dramatischen Zustände im Gazastreifen in 1987. Die Protagonistin Naila wird vor die Wahl gestellt, ob sie für ihre Familie oder ihre Liebe kämpfen soll.
Zudem sehnt sie sich nach mehr Freiheit. Die Zuschauer:innen von »Naila and the Uprising« gewinnen einen Einblick in den Alltag der Menschen in dieser politischen Notlage. Des Weiteren erleben sie die belastenden Konflikte und Entscheidungen.

2022 hat ereignisreiche Filme im Petto: Es geht nach Deutschland und Kolumbien!
Am 20. Januar 2022 begeben sich die Gäste auf eine Reise mit Parvis, dem Protagonisten des deutschen Films »Futur Drei«. Die Figur verkörpert autobiographisch die Geschichte des deutschen Regisseurs Faraz Shariat. Als Kind iranischer Eltern hat er sich schon früh mit gesellschaftlichen Schwierigkeiten konfrontiert gefühlt.
Die Hauptfigur trifft im Flüchtlingsheim, wo er seine Sozialstunden ableisten muss, auf ein iranisches Geschwisterpaar. Die Freundschaft der drei Jugendlichen deutet auf einige soziale Hindernisse hin. Einerseits droht den Geschwistern zunehmend die Abschiebung. Andererseits stellt die homosexuelle Liebe von Parvis und Amon die zwei auf eine emotionale Probe.

Eine Liebe auf Zeit, zumindest für die zwei Protagonisten des deutschen Dramas. Ob die Verliebten ihre Situation gemeinsam mit Amons Schwester retten können?
Den letzten Film zeigt die Fachschaft für Konflikt-Forschung am 3. Februar 2022. Das Publikum begibt sich mit zwei ehemaligen Soldaten auf eine Reise in die kolumbianische Bergwelt. Dort suchen die zwei nach versteckten Überresten des langjährigen Bürgerkrieges.
Von vermutlich 1966-2016 haben sich in dem südamerikanischen Land das staatliche Militär und die Soldaten der FARC bekämpft. Die zwei Hauptfiguren des Film gehören ebenfalls der links-politischen Opposition an. Um mehr über die korrupte und gefährliche Politik ihres Landes zu erfahren, wollen sie es auf eigene Faust erforschen.

Du willst immer auf dem Laufenden bleiben, was die neuesten Kino-Events angeht? Ww berichtet regelmäßig über aktuelle Veranstaltungen und Neuigkeiten auf den Bühnen der Filmtheater. Schau hier nach, was bisher auf den Leinwänden gelaufen ist!
Hinzu kommen Journalistin Kristin Helberg, Schriftsteller Kadir Özdemir und Psychologin Andrea Jaramillo Contreras. Mit dem nötigen Fachwissen wollen sie auf die Fragen und Kommentare des Publikums eingehen.
