Of course I had to introduce him as such #Im pretty sure its not JZX who kicks him the first time but birthday boy on birthday boy violence is too funny to pass up #Madam yu being mosskin-like but distinctly not from the same clan was pretty important to me when designing her. But I was at such a loss!#By *chance* I saw The Hunter's design and thought 'YEAH THATS THE ONE'. Let milfs be terrifying.#Little apple originally was gonna be 'the girl who's backyard this all takes place in' but ....little bug steed....#In case you are wondering whether the Lan juniors are suspicious of the fact LSZ has twice as many legs: No. He's 'just like that' to them.#Part three will be in less than a week! Absolutely obsessed with the idea of Jiang Cheng, in the wake of the Jiang Sect's massacre, just massively overdoing it with the defensive measures in Lotus Pier:

It was bad enough when they were first rebuilding, but in the nearly two decades that followed every single time Jiang Cheng had a nightmare about his family dying and/or Lotus Pier burning down, he would immediately get up and start working on the defensive arrays, or the evacuation plans, or so on...

People think of the Impure Realm as an impenetrable fortress, but after Lotus Pier burnt down and was rebuilt? No other sect could stand a chance against Jiang Cheng's obsessive paranoia.

Lotus Pier has everything from defensive arrays, to evacuation plans and saferooms, to secret codes and signals known only to the disciples, to hidden underground and underwater tunnels, to booby traps, barriers, poison gas, etc etc etc...

Never again will Lotus Pier be sieged—not if Jiang Cheng has anything to say about it.

Your Schrodinger's brother tags re: wwx and jc. One of my favourite AUs to have fun with in my brain is WHAT IF Jiang Cheng is the bastard. As in his bio father is Wen Zhuliu. And he somehow realizes this bc mumblemumblen golden core. Very fun position to put JC in emotionally!!! (If he doesn't figure it out nothing changes from his pov so I need him to find out for him to have emotional turmoil).

This is obviously not canon but I find it fun to think about.

tragically i cannot see yzy ever cheating on jfm but this would break everything inside of jc's brain. possibly at the right time it would actually be freeing in a twisted way! there's a cosmic reason he's bad at jianging and his dad doesn't seem to like him. he can just put it all down and stop trying. of course then he had no identity and no place in the world but you know. trade offs.

Madam Yu

Madam Yu is a character I think it’s fair to say few people if any like because of her personality and the way she treats people.

When it comes to Wei Ying and I’m keeping this post pretty much to him.) She’s very vocal about what she thinks of him and how she doesn’t like him. (I’m being polite with that.)

When Wang Lingjiao arrive at lotus pier demanding she punish Wei Ying she eventually does as they ask and whips him and calls it enough and only carries on when Wang Lingjiao isn’t satisfied by it.

When she demands Wei Ying’s sword hand is cut off she tries to refuse to do it to and eventually starts a fight with the Wen’s.

I don’t think she does any of this out of any kind of love or need to protect Wei Ying. I assume it’s most likely because she doesn’t want people coming to her home and making demands of her and having her do what they want.

I do think it’s strange however that no matter how verbally abusive and horrible she is to Wei Ying. He mentions never being spanked as a child.

At first I thought he was just referring to his own parents, but most of his life was lived with the Jiangs, so that can’t be true.

We know she whipped Jiang Cheng but never Wei Ying.

I guess I just find her character odd in the things she does and the ones she doesn’t.

She’s not at all likeable but she is interesting and if I could get more information on any character one of the one’s I’d pick would be her.

what was her life like growing? How did she end up being the way she is as an adult?
