Van der Linde Isaac - "CoS is actually a western" is such a concept ever since i saw somebody pointing that out i kept thinking about it
i rant about the redesign a bit:
so i went ahead and redesigned him to fit the rdr2 setting entirely, i cant give him a full on wolf arm, so i gave him burn scars on his face, that he hides all the time with a scarf or a bandana. hat in the back to replace the hoodie's shape. he is most comfortable using the rolling block rifle plus a knife. he would probably play a lot of five finger fillet.
plus, he gets his arm blown off at one point (not from finger fillet!! i swear), probably during the saint denis robbery, then dies during the guarma chapter, bc there is no way he would survive longer than that
also i cant have him choose sides at chapter 6 when i know he has blind loyalty

hey man. if youre complaining about the actors in the borderlands movie being "too old" for the roles. i wanna remind you that in the trailer alone, for a bl1 based movie, hyperion is branded yellow and white instead of red and black, tina is the same age shes supposed to be in 2, krieg has escaped hyperion when jack isnt even supposed to be ruling yet, and fuckin. mouthpiece from bl3 was there. just off the top of my head. i could find more lore inconsistencies if i tried
frankly i think the only issue with the casting is how many of them are zionists and the fact that theyre trying to make roland a comedic character played by kevin hart when hes supposed to be the straight man. like. come on. roland is the only even slightly normal one out of the first games vault hunters (i really dont care that much at the end of the day, thats just my main gripe besides the zionism)

extremely important psa : tangle tower is included in steam's autumn sale and is currently $3.99 USD. (the previous game in the series, detective grimoire: secret of the swamp, is also on sale for $1.39 USD.) its minimum system requirements are super generous so i'm begging people to play this game if they're able, it's so freaking good.

the egregious out-of-character nature of halsin's datamined dialogue aside, i find it very telling that a vast majority of the people okay with him treating minthara like shit have never recruited her or played with her as a companion. minthara is a sincerely beautiful, multi-faceted and complex character that deserves redemption. she is easily one of the best and best-written companions in this entire game. halsin being robbed of a chance to know her and change his mind about her (and in the same respect, minthara being denied the chance to know halsin) is a disservice to them both.

Helena: [slurred] I'm suddenly not feeling so hot, Lilith. Lilith? LILITH!!!
[VAMPIRE CHAOS ENSUES]
Lilith: Helena?
Helena: STAY BACK!
Lilith: What's wrong? Give me your hand. You're shaking.
HELENA: DON'T TOUCH ME! NO, GET AWAY! YOU'RE MONSTERS, ALL OF YOU!
Lilith: Helena, what are you talking about? It's only me, and I'm no monster.
Helena: [edgily scans the room, now silent and empty] Do you promise?
Lilith: You can trust me.

If you have the time, what's the story behind the name Keyframes? Why that name?
well, if i remember the story right from marina:
in animation and filmmaking, a keyframe is the shot that defines the beginning and end of a transition. our lives are an indefinite tapestry of these. we recall life in memories: those touchstone moments that we don't always think were big, but are something that your mind pulls upon to explain short-hand the person you were at that time.
keyframes is a reference to the very literal function of memory, but also touches on how our game mechanics work! you don't experience every day of two years of your life. you experience it in moments, spread out across that timeline. there's also the "cgs," which are defined in photos in the game. they're moments that shape your relationship with characters, but also that literally shape you as a character and player in this world and setting.
it'd be nice if you also perceived the game itself as a keyframe, haha.
on a personal note, when i think of the title and its relationship to the game, i often think of this one post that went viral on tumblr a while back in its hey day that says something like we are a mosaic of everyone we knew and we loved.
Marina Edit: IM SO SO SO SO EXCITED SOMEONE ASKED IT WAS A WHOLE EPIPHANY WHEN I FIGURED IT OUT MAN LIKE I COOKED BRO I FUCKING COOKED

Tangentially related to some of the discussion i posted earlier but quiet literally the first RW Art Month i participated I did it completely on whim like, one day before it started. And I mostly did it because I hadn't drawn a ton of rain world and wanted to draw more. Fandom presence was a lot smaller than and I was one of a handful of artists who did the entire thing. Fast forward and I still do Art Month and I've gotten to work with VC directly.
But it was quite literally something I decided to do completely on whim that set the ball rolling, and for something a lil more niche and certainly with a lot more dev/fandom art involvement than most. It's really random how and why you might get noticed more than usual, especially with the "toss it into the search and hope it pays out' mechanism of Socmed
